Spinning Bright Light Seen Overt Elliot Lake Ontario Canada

Date: November 30, 2009
Time: 5:50 a.m.

Hi, early this morning my partner saw a bright light, round shaped, appear and disappear in a clear, star-filled sky. We are wondering if you might know what it was.

Details: Seen at 5:50 AM EST, out of the west going east in a straight line, no slant to path. It appeared to be a spinning ball (like a basketball spinning on your finger)

The object was brighter than a star and bigger than a star, pure white light - no tint. Gagging: size of star in night sky=golf ball. Size of UFO=basketball. Round shape. Estimated distance? There was only one star visible in that direction, but all kinds of stars visible all around in other directions. It appeared and disappeared in a few seconds. He does not feel it was a satellite. It was not a disk shape, it was completely round. It was visible for approx. 3-4 seconds. We are very curious as to what this was. If you have any ideas would you please share. Thank you.

Two Giant Glowing Masses In The Sky Over Sidney, British Columbia

Date: November 29, 2009
Time: Approx: 9:20 p.m.

Hello! My name is (removed) and I live in Victoria, British Columbia, at the end of a peninsula in a town called Sidney. I just experienced a very similar encounter. I was just heading out at about 9:30 with my girlfriend and found two giant glowing masses in the sky. At first, I didn't really pay any attention, thinking it could be lights on a ski hill. Then about 2 hours later we got back to her house and they were in the exact same spot, so I paid a little more attention and realized that they were much higher than any mountain around, and by their size impossible to be a plane. In fact a plane was flying in the direction of the objects and I could barely make it out, but it seemed to fly directly towards one of the objects and almost do an instant turn around and head the other way.

Something also completely impossible for me to understand, was that the masses would take turns disappearing and reappearing, in the blink of an eye. Then finally after watching for 10 or so minutes in the driveway, one mass disappeared, and the other slowly drifted to the right and vanished. I will head out again to see if they have returned. I don't have an account on here, so if you would like to message me my e-mail is (removed)

Robin Hoods Bay UK A Round Orange Ball Of Light

Date: June 2007
Time: Evening.

Hi, I'm responding to the report of UFO Robin Hoods Bay 2009. We saw a similar craft in the bay 2 years before on our last night of our holiday in June 2007. It was around 10.30pm and my partner and I were having a final look around the bay before we went home the next day. We stood by the sea wall near the dock and saw a light in the distance. It seemed to take off the hill of Ravenscar and it was a round orange ball of light. It went higher into the sky, much higher than a helicopter and was completely silent. It reached a great height then stopped and moved left and right for a bit then vanished into a cloud. We never saw it again. It was most strange and I can't explain what I saw.

Sasquatch Sighting On The Telkwa Highroad, Moricetown, British Columbia

Date: August 27, 2008
Time: 10:00 p.m.

Brian Vike of The Vike Factor took a call today, September 2, 2008 from a lady who related a second hand sighting of the Sasquatch. A friend of hers had witnessed a large, tall creature run out in front of their vehicle as they traveled along the Telkwa Highroad. Up north here on August 27, 2008 the sun would have just gone done, but still leaving a little bit of light in which they were able to view the Sasquatch.

The next day the ladies husband was out washing his wife's car when he noticed a foul smell in the air, the lady and her husband live right in the area where the Sasquatch was observed. The husband had a very eerie feeling come over him knowing what his wife had just witnessed the day before.

The Vike Factor does not have anymore information on this sighting, but I am trying to contact the lady who had this sighting.

Also I should point out that this is the third Sasquatch sighting that has come in. Two in my area and one at Campbell River on Vancouver Island.

Bit gosh, two sighting of Sasquatch in this area is something else and all in a pretty short period of time. If anyone in the Pacific Northwest from Burns Lake to Terrace and bee witness to a Sasquatch in 2008 I would love to hear from you. You can contact me at: v_factor_paranormal@live.com

Sasquatch Runs Across Highway 16 Outside Of Smithers B.C.

Message: Hi Brian, Gosh I have been trying to remember the details of a Bigfoot sighting in the Bulkley Valley. Maybe someone from the area will remember this. It was sometime during the mid 70's and just outside of Smithers on Highway 16 towards Moricetown. I was a kid and remembered hearing on the local radio channel (Was it BVLD Radio back then too?) that someone had spotted Bigfoot run across the road in front of them head into the trees towards the Bulkley River.

We lived along the Telkwa Hi-Road on a ranch called Springhill at the time. On the other side of the hi-road was the Bulkley River and beyond that was property and then Highway 16. I remembered being so excited at the prospect that I might have a chance to see this creature that I sat on our log fence in the front yard and watched the field below us (which belonged to the Rosenberg's at the time) the entire day. I kid you not. It was morning when I went to sit on the fence and it was dark when I gave up. I was determined not to miss it. I was convinced that if Bigfoot made it across the river that he was going to run across that field. Boy was I disappointed when he never showed! LOL

I wonder if anyone else can remember that sighting? Thanks a bunch!

Thank you to my friend for the report. If anyone else knows or have heard about the sighting, please drop me a line at The Vike Factor. v_factor_paranormal@live.com

Sasquatch Blood Curdling Shrieking Near 100 Mile House British Columbia

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, the recent Sasquatch reports have motivated me to tell you of an event from many years ago.

This is a story that has been told by my father.

The trip from Prince George B.C. to Vancouver B.C. is a long one, about 500 miles. Sixty-five years ago it probably seemed even longer. That was when it was still a gravel road and had few tunnels and few bridges. Even now it is an empty part of the Province.

During the summer of 1941 my father, a school teacher, wanted to go to Vancouver from Prince George. No money and no car meant the best way to travel was by bicycle. He found a friend who was willing to make the ride with him and off they went. The combination of different riding skills, stamina and quality of bike meant that much of the time they were many miles apart, so sometimes dad was riding alone.

Because of the heat during the day, they often rode at night. Early summer nights are short so far north so it was never very dark. The northern sky was always light.

The adventures and incidents that he experienced are interesting and funny, except one. This took place not far from 100 Mile House. Now most of the Cariboo is covered with trees but in those days much of it was open rolling grasslands . What trees there were appeared mainly around lake edges and in the folds of the hills.

Dad had been riding alone for most of the evening. A flat tire had slowed dad some and his friend was well ahead of him. By the time the sky was as dark as it was going to get, everything was silent. The only sound was from his bicycle tires on the loose gravel.

Suddenly the night exploded in sound. It was a shrieking screeching undulating howl like nothing he had ever heard before. He'd heard the expression of "blood turning to ice". Now he knew just what that meant. Dad was not unfamiliar with the outdoors. He'd heard the sound of owls catching prey, cougars, moose, elk and bears. This was different. His reaction was to get out of there! But which way? The sound was coming from all around him. When he saw faint movement in a nearby clump of trees he'd just passed, he took a guess that he should go the opposite direction, which was also the way he was heading. And he did, as fast as he could pedal. As suddenly as it started the sound stopped. Again there was no sound but the tires on the gravel going much faster this time!

A few valleys later he caught up to his friend, who had heard nothing.

Eventually dad decided he must have heard a moose bouncing several times off a fence wire, or something. However he was never comfortable with that explanation.

At the time he was not very aware of a creature called a Sasquatch although he had seen the newspaper photo of a live one captured near Yale in the Fraser Canyon (never have managed to find out what happened with it). He can't remember if that was before or after his bike ride.

About thirty years later I was living and working in the 100 Mile House area. A co-worker who was an avid outdoors man asked if I would work his shift for him one weekend. He and his buddies wanted to go on a fishing and camping weekend at an isolated back woods lake a couple of hours out of town. They left Friday and surprisingly were back just after sunrise Saturday. Apparently they had reached the lake, set up camp and sat around a campfire for a while before turning in.

They did not stay up late as they wanted to be up early for the fishing. Sometime after they had settled for the night an incredible howl had them all out of bed and looking at each other in astonishment. Although they were all hunters and fishermen none of them had ever heard a sound like that before. It seemed to becoming from the far side of the lake. Suddenly it stopped. Half an hour later they heard it again but this time it was much closer to the end of the lake and therefore closer to their campsite. A few minute later it screeched again, this time even closer.

So these four men not only packed up and left, they were not ashamed to admit it!

He described the sound to me, undulating, screeching, howling, blood chilling. It sounded so much like what my father had described, I told him about it.

Dad just got a funny look on his face and said" I never really did think that what I heard was a moose running into a fence!" .

Hope you get more reports. Central B.C. is still so empty there could be lots of interesting things out there!

Thank you to the family member for relating the Dad's experiences.

Also The Vike Factor has started to add Sasquatch/Bigfoot sighting reports to a new blog, (http://bigfoot-sasquatch.blogspot.com/) also of course they can be found on the main Vike Factor Blog as well.

Fort Collins, Colorado UFO Falls To The Ground

Date: November 19, 2009
Time: between 7:30 p.m and 8:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Fort Collins, Colorado.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: fire ball.

Hello Brian Vike, I just want to report what I saw tonight. I saw in front of "Horsetooth mountain" like a fire ball, very bright and orange/red. I believed it was a street light because it was not too high and it was not moving. But, it was a orange, almost red in color. I think that's why I looked at it. Something was strange with this color.

Suddenly my eyes where attracted by the ball which changed shape, like an horizontal bright orange bar or cigar and stayed like that for 2 seconds. It then fell down to the earth very, very fast. There was no noises. Maybe it's a meteor. I don't know. I went back at home and I looked in the sky and I saw 2 helicopters circling around our street and block for approximately 30 minutes. Then nothing more to say. If somebody saw or knows something, please let us know.

UFO Dove Down Behind Some Homes Over West Hills California

Date: November 19, 2009
Time: Approx: 6:45 p.m.

Hello, my name is (removed). I live in West Hills California. Tonight I was driving towards school at 6:45 or so. As I was driving, I saw an object fly from the left over Fallbrook road. It looked like a plane at first and I thought it was going to crash. It dove below my view on the right side of the road behind some houses. In an instant it shot straight back up in the sky. I saw the whole thing happen, but the lights moved so fast and in so many directions that I knew it wasn't a plane. When I was close enough, I saw that it had three lights along the side/bottom, couldn't really tell. They were red, green, and blue.

It had a slight shine or hue to it. Glowing doesn't quite do it justice. It was really bright at the middle and hazy around the edge. I had pulled over for a minute to watch a bit more and it didn't look like it was going anywhere. I drove on to school and it was gone by the time I was coming home. I had called my roommate as well and told him to go out front. He said he saw the three lights, but it was moving so fast he couldn't really make it out. Please let me know if anyone else saw this. Thank you.

A Large Explosion Witnessed In The Night Sky Over Santa Cruz California

Date: November 16, 2009
Time: Between 7:00pm and 7:30pm

Tonight at approx between 7:00pm and 7:30pm in the western night sky I saw what appeared to be an explosion, a very large one. I am not sure what I saw but It wasn't anything I have ever seen before and I watch the sky nightly. There were no stars visible in the sky where a circle of light suddenly appeared, expanding quickly, in a burst. As it stopped expanding, a circle of light, a ring also expanded and dissipated around it.

The entire thing dissipated quickly and it was followed by several fairly large shooting stars near it. It seemed to me that what I saw was a very large explosion or event in space. I wonder if anyone else saw anything tonight? Nov 16th. Santa Cruz Ca.

UFO Shrinks And Disappears Over Terrace, British Columbia

Date: November 23, 2002
Time: 5:15 p.m.

I had a telephone call from two separate witnesses who live in the Terrace, B.C. area explaining that they just had witnessed some strange lights over Thornhill Mountain in Terrace, B.C. From Terrace you would be looking east towards Thornhill Mountain. (The Vike Factor Note: There were actually 5 people who watched the lights in total, but I only have talked with the two who called me on this matter).

The weather condition at the time of the sighting was good, clear but rather windy. Also in the area where the lights were noticed there are some large towers close by.

One of the witnesses said the object, or bright light was approx: double the size of the planet Venus and white in color. All of the witnesses watched the light for approx: 10 to 15 seconds until it grew smaller in size and disappeared. (The Vike Factor Note: I found this rather strange, all of the witnesses mentioned in all the clear sky there was a large cloud which hung over the mountain where the lights were spotted. Seeing if was so stormy (windy) the witnesses all found it weird that the cloud stayed in it's position and did not move until all the lights were gone. BTW - In this report I have only mentioned one light, but it was approx: 15 minutes later after the one light left, two lights showed up).

Approx: 15 minutes later the witnesses claimed to see two balls of white light over the same area where the single light was sitting, it watched this for a few seconds before the lights blinked out.

UFO Shoots Up Into The Night Sky Over Prince Rupert, British Columbia

Date: August 6, 2002
Time: 11:45 p.m.
Email Report.

Hello Brian, on Tuesday, August 6th at 11:45. My cousin (name removed) and I went down to the Ocean Fish Plant to check on our fishing boats when we saw this bright light shoot across the sky from the Northwest to the Southeast in just about 3 seconds and it zig zagged at the end. Then we looked up toward the North and saw this light go straight up into the sky, we saw two more lights that were stationary, one light got a little brighter then it followed the first light, the third one looked like it was coming towards us as it was getting brighter and brighter then it stopped and went back to where we first saw it, then it went straight up into the sky. This all happened in just 15 minutes there were three other people down on the floats at Royal and they too saw what we just saw, we all talked about it, we never saw anything like it before. Sincerely.

Two Small UFOs Follow Larger One Over Prince Rupert, British Columbia

Date: May 18, 2002
Time: Not given.
Email Report.

My mother was on her way to the kitchen when she stopped to look outside the living room window, towards the North. She saw a craft with different color lights around it and it had two smaller black objects following behind it, my mother was calling me to wake up and look at what she saw outside, I got up just in time to see this light slowly moving to the East and it slowly Blinked 3 times before it vanished and behind Mount Oldfield which is 1885 ft. high. The objects never made a sound, and this is the first time that my mother had ever seen any real UFO's.

RCMP In Granisle British Columbia Observe Gold Colored UFO Hovering Over Copper Mine

Date: October 22, 2002
Time: 10:25 p.m.

(The Vike Factor Note: Granisle is a small town 45 minutes northeast from where I live in Houston, British Columbia, Canada. Granisle has a population of 400 residents and the main industries are tourism and logging. Once the site of a copper mine. (Granisle Copper and Bell Copper) who had two large open pit mines).

I was contacted by a gentleman (I will say this, it was a person in authority) recently who gave me quite a story. The witness was with another fellow driving north just a couple of kilometers south of Granisle, B.C. (their exact location when they viewed the craft was at Topley Landing. The two large forest companies here in Houston have a barge which runs back and forth across Babine Lake carrying logging trucks) The old Bell Copper mine is directly across the lake from the witnesses position. An approx: guess would be a 3/4 to 1 mile between the craft and the witnesses.

The fellows observed a large glowing orange/gold almost saucer shaped (oval?) object hovering right over top the old Bell Copper mine. They said it was very low to the ground. At this point they pulled over to have a look and to try to figure out what they were seeing. As they watched the object hover, it would rise up very slowly and come to a complete stop, move sideways then stop and drop down roughly the same height from the ground when the witnesses first seen it. (The Vike Factor Note: I asked if they witnessed any type of light coming from the object, meaning a downwards beam of light). They both told me no, no lights were seen coming from the object. They did say that it almost looked as if every time the object moved to another position and dropped back down, it seemed to them the light intensity grew from the object while it stayed stationary. At "one" point the object moved out over the lake and stopped for a few seconds, then went back over top the mine once again.

They mentioned they heard no sound at all, but keeping in mind that the two fellows were some distance away from the object when viewing it. (The Vike Factor Note: I asked them if they could give me an approx: size of this thing). There rough estimate was about the size of the Moon (maybe a hair smaller). They also said there were a few other cars and trucks that passed by them at the time, but no one stopped. (The Vike Factor Note: I can certainly understand why no one stopped to see what was going on, as I know who the witnesses were.)

But they did say that everyone traveling the highway had to have seen it, you couldn't miss it. They said the area around the object, (ground area) was lit up for some distance. Also due to the brightness of the craft it cast it's reflection on the lake. The men watched this event for approx; 7 minutes before it rose up and left slowly heading north, still at a low altitude and out of their sight.

The Vike Factor Note: I find this a very interesting case to work on. Three things come to mind, why was this craft sitting over the old Granisle/ Bell Copper mine. Why did it move and stop over top of the lake. Why did the intensity seem to grow when it moved to a new position and hover. Actually I have a million questions I could think of to ask, but who ? I am not sure if I can gain access to the mine, but I am going to check into it, as I would love to take a drive out to have a look around. Also something to keep in mind, Granisle Copper & Bell Copper mine's sit on an island on Babine Lake. Since the mines have been closed for sometime it may be hard to get onto the property. Also rumors have been floating around that one of the companies were thinking of going back in and high grading the remaining ore. One other note to this story which may be of interest. On the mine site there have been a good number of fossils found, one which has brought a lot of attention has been the Mammoth. Bones have been found, and also were buried by the mine sometime ago when it was in operation. From a newspaper article in the Smithers Interior newspaper a while back the company thought it best to not have their mining operation stopped, or slowed down by having folks digging for these fossils.

Anyway, there you have the short version to this case, but I wanted to get this one out as I just received it this past week. there is a lot more to do on this one, in hopes of finding some more answers to this amazing case. Also I think it would be a good idea to pop into the newspaper office and see if they will run the sighting report in hopes that some of the other folks who drove by might come forward and give their take on this.

While I am at it, I have received more reports as well. Just tonight Saturday November 22, 2002 I received two telephone calls from Terrace, B.C. over stange lights in the sky.

Witness Stunned By UFO Sighting Over Houston, British Columbia

Date: August 30th, 2002
Time: 3:42a.m.
Email report.

Brian Vike, My name is (name removed), and I am a life long resident of Houston, B.C.. I will make this short and sweet. I have been a paranormal and parascience 'freak' for my entire life, so the recent events concerning 'UFO' sightings in the Bulkley Valley have been of great interest to me as you can well imagine. I soberly took the summer's sightings under careful consideration as they happened this year, not getting too excited, but trusting that things were exactly as they were reported, especially concerning the Quick area sightings which involved people of impeccable trustworthiness.

The morning of August 30th, 2002, changed everything in a big way. What I witnessed that morning soberly seared me with a realization that one can only experience with the background that someone like you or I can understand based on many years of solid scientific research mixed with the accounts of hundreds of incidents ranging from the Roswell situation up until the Bob Lazar story that I'm sure you have scrutinized as carefully as I have.

It was Thursday night, which at 3:42am is technically a Friday morning, August 30th. Two friends of mine had driven up from Vancouver to visit, and on my lunch break I had gone to meet them at the scale turn-off to HFP (where I work) to give them the keys to my house. As I returned to work, I parked my car and walked through the 'gate' to the yard leading to the sawmill. This was exactly 3:42am. While walking through the gate where people walk from the parking lot to the sawmill, I caught something in my vision and saw it.

You surely have been to HFP, so you can envision the following description. From the exact point where I walked through the gap in the parking lot fence, I saw 'it'. I looked up to see a light source travelling at an angle approximately 25 degrees downward from a right to left position above the planer mill, on a constant heading and speed from the burner to the planer roof and out of view. I stopped dead when I saw it, and watched it move in a perfectly straight and perfectly even speed until it was out of view over the planer roof.

Picture the planer as being a building approximately 300 yards from my position at the border of the parking lot. Beyond the planer is a couple of railway tracks and a chip pile, and then a beaver pond and then forest on a hillside. The light source was clearly beyond those trees on the hillside, but not much. It was an overcast night, so the object was clearly well below the cloud level. As far as the size of the 'object', that is obviously completely dependant on it's distance from my position. I estimated that it was less than a quarter mile away, which would have made it's size quite small, maybe three to four feet in diameter. It moved on a perfectly straight line, disappearing below the tree line. As for it's appearance, it was a very even light source that was purely 'white' without twinkling in any way. In other words, it was not a small bright source but rather an actual round circle of perfectly consistent light emitting from it's entire surface. As for speed, again it's hard to say as it would be based entirely on it's distance from my position. Let me say that what stood out was the absolute 'evenness' of it's movement, which more than anything else gave me an eerie sinking in my guts. At that time I knew that it was moving faster than a Cessna would, but far slower than any celestial object such as a shooting star would.

There's not much else to say. After seeing it disappear out of sight I ran inside the mill, and grabbed a millwright that I respect for his intelligence and open-mind. I basically dragged him onto the roof of the sawmill where we stood and scanned the sky for the next hour or so, without seeing anything but not for lack of looking. With very little thought as to the consequences I told everyone I met that night what I had seen, and at the first opportunity I grabbed a compass specific map of the mill site and plotted out the vector of what I had seen that night. Taking into account a wide margin for the distance from my position, I shaded a plot of land where the object would have been, and the next day dragged two friends out to the are where I spent upwards of three hours zig-zagging around the area on the infinitesimal chance that there would be some ground based evidence of what would have been the point where the light source I saw met the Earth based on it's downward angle. While I didn't find anything, it is interesting to note that amongst the cattle range land in the area there is a hydro R.O.W. that runs perfectly parallel to and at a proper distance to my viewing stance. It is not unreasonable to say that the light source I saw was directly over this power line, which could bring into discussion several electro-magnetic possibilities for what I saw (even though the object I witnessed would have been 500 feet or more above the power lines when I first saw it).

That's about it, all I can say in summary is that what I saw was quite obviously not a shooting star or satellite (it was 'near' in other words) and it was not a plane or any other kind of craft that could explain what I saw. There was no tail of any kind to what I saw, and all I can emphasize is that not only was the light perfectly even in it's whiteness (no twinkling) it was the steadiness of it's movement that was most striking. This was not glare from something, this was not a celestial phenomenon and certainly not a craft of any design I can imagine. Even behind the direct glare of many bright halogen lights along the roof of both the planer and the sawmill this light source stood out, so you can get an idea of how bright this was to catch my attention as it did. Feel free to use this information as you see fit, and contact me if you think there is any more information I can provide. If you have trouble visualizing the area of my sighting, just think of something travelling from South to North about a quarter mile East of the HFP parking lot. Also, if you need to discuss UFO's in general, get a hold of me because I assure you I am as educated as anyone can be in this area.

South Hazelton, British Columbia Craft Makes Shape Turn

Date: Approx: Between February 27 to March 1, 2002
Time: Between 10:00 - 11:00 p.m.
Color: Blue with red

The witness said she thought what she saw, may have been a plane flying overhead as she often sees them and it was coming from the west and heading east. She also said that it seemed to be off course from what she usually sees in the flight path. All of a sudden the object turned sharply and headed north. The object was blue in color with a spot of red and was very high up in the sky. The sighting lasted only a few seconds.

Investigators Note: This could possibly be a jet, but whatever it was, made a sharp turn to the north. This sighting is questionable.

I would like to thank this witness for making a report.

UFO Tubular And Almost Transparent South Hazelton, British Columbia

Date: February 2001 (near the end of the month)
Time: 1:00 a.m.
Color: Transparent red

This witness reported to me something which she still has a hard time believing. She tells me that this object was tubular in shape, but like a triangle.

She continued our conversation by telling me that on one side of the object she could clearly see through it at the closest point to her. It almost seemed to have two separate identities, the side closest to the witness seemed to be transparent as she could the stars through it but it also had a triangular outline.

The color of the craft was red. I asked if it was bright red. Her perception of it was that the light was a faint red and it was not very high off the ground. (She laughed and said she almost crawled over the back fence to follow it). But as she was alone she thought it would be better not to. She told me it flew at about tree top level very slowly and this is why she could view the object for a decent amount of time.

She returned to her home and was shaking badly, it had really frightened her. Her husband was sleeping and when she told him what she had seen he was not interested.

The object was heading south over other residents roof tops and appeared to be going lower and at this time she lost visual contact with it. The witness said she believes the object would have been between 30 and 40 feet in length. She heard no sound at all and the pet (puppy) did not react to it either.

UFO Comes To A Stop And It Goes Dark At Francois Lake, Grassy Plains British Columbia

Date: February 14, 2002
Time: Approx: 12:00 a.m. (midnight)
Weather Conditions: Clear
Sound: None
Telephone Interview

This witness telephoned me saying he had read the newspaper article (Lakes District Newspaper) on the sightings which are taking place around our area. He reports that on February 11 - 15, 2002 he saw something very strange in the night's sky. He lives at Francois Lake, on the south side, and approximately 30 kilometers from the Ferry landing. He said the night was perfectly dark with the stars shinning brightly. This gentleman said he looked up into the sky, when something caught his eye due to the speed of the object with lights on it. He went on to explain that he has seen a lot satellites, planes, etc.. but this object was like nothing he could compare it to.

He said it almost looked like an aircraft, and when it came into his vision which was closer to his area he was located in, the object then came to a complete "stop" and went totally dark. (meaning the lights went out on the object). Then all of a sudden there was a flash off light which reminded him as if you took a mirror and reflected it off the sunlight and aiming it towards the ground you would have a very bright area lit up. But because it was totally dark he said it was like a ray of light which seemed to be sweeping on the ground.

This witness told me the sighting only lasted a couple of minutes before continuing on it's way at an incredible speed and disappeared. I asked what direction the object came from, he said it came from north and left heading directly south. Also his father-in-law was witness to the sighting also. He went on to say he looked for a reasonable explanation for this sighting as he was not to keen on the idea of "UFOs". But can't seem to find a any explanation. I asked what altitude he estimated the object was at, he said it was very hard to tell, but went on to say he could not believe how powerful the light was. It was almost like if the sun was shinning through the clouds, giving the effect of a beam of light and of course the brightness of it. Once again it looked as if it was looking for something due to the light sweeping (moving around on the ground).

Kitwanga, British Columbia Object Observed At Large Swampy Area

Date: Late February, 2002
Time: approx: Between 4:30 & 5:00 a.m.

The witness tells me he saw the bright light on Highway # 37 between 55 and 60 kilometers just north of Kitwanga, British Columbia. He told me at the location of the sighting there is a large swampy area off to the left and through the trees, (the witness stopped to tell me that there was a full moon present that early morning and thought what he was looking at was the reflection of the moon on the water).

The fellow went on to say that there was a very, very bright light in the swamp. His impression of what he saw was a gas station canopy lit up as it was so bright. He mentioned he saw the light 3 times while slowly driving down the highway in the space through the trees. The light would disappear and reappear and he had a good view of it very distinctly the second time. He described the light as an orangey - yellow in color.

I asked if he could hear any sounds coming from the area, but he mentioned he was in a logging truck and I certainly know how noisy this can be. I also asked if he could give me an idea on the size of this light. He went on to say whatever it was, was huge. I also asked if, to his knowledge, were there any power lines or transmission towers located at the area where this was seen. He said as far as he knew there was nothing what so ever in the area. He said the bright light was stationary and did not move an inch. I asked how far the light was positioned in the sky and he said either it was sitting on the ground or just above it.

We talked for a while and he again mentioned what his impression was of this light.

Witness: Whatever it was that was making this light, he seriously thought it was similar to travelling along an empty stretch of highway and coming upon a gas station which has all its lights turned on. A big lit up area like a canopy of a gas station.

After he arrived home he later discussed this with his wife telling her how strange this bright light seemed to be and he told me again it was very bright and glowing and how it freaked him out as there was nothing in the swamp area that he knew of.

I want to take a drive to the area, so he is going to get me the exact location so I will be able to find the spot. He told me the swamp would have been along the Cranberry River (south) before the first crossing of the highway. He mentioned the swamp would be approx: 3 to 5 kilometers south of the highway.

UFO Comes To A Dead Stop, Loops And Disappears Over Terrace, British Columbia

Date: Monday, March 4, 2002
Time: approx: 5:30 - 5:45 a.m.

The witness reported to The Vike Factor that he is a body builder and was doing his cardio workout the morning before heading to his place of employment. The man was looking up towards the sky and all of a sudden what seemed like a star shot across the sky and came to a complete stop. The witness told me that whatever it was he saw did a loop in the sky and then went straight up and disappeared.

He asked me "did it actually move or am I confused or something". I informed him that coloured stars do not do loops in the sky !

I asked what the color of this light looked like. He went on to say it seemed like a star, but a very bright star with a blue, green red color to it. I ask how long this event took place, he said from the time he took notice of it, it lasted only about ten seconds or so. Weather conditions were clear. I asked which direction did it seem to come from. He told me the light headed from east to west but on a bit of an angle. Also he said the light stayed stationary for not more than four seconds or so.

He knew it was a strange sight he saw and I thanked him for calling in his report.

An Asteroid Looking Object Breaks Up Over Terrace, British Columbia

Date: November of 2001 (Received this report in March of 2002)
Time: approx: 2:00 a.m.

Greetings, Hi there, we read your writings in the 'News advertiser', dated March 9, 2002.

As we're living on the outskirts of Terrace and I walk my dog late at night, or maybe better to say, in the early, early morning hours. My wife and myself have noticed many a time, strange objects flying over our skies, in the southern parts of the sky towards Kitimat, B.C. We do watch every night for more, and do see things that don't make sense, mostly when watched by the naked eye, we then observe them again inside our home with field-binoculars and observe strange designs of colors and shapes beaming towards mother earth.

In October or early November of 2001, when walking my dogs at around 2:00 a.m. in the morning, I had the biggest scare of my live yet. Now this might sound strange, and if you do not believe me, I apologize for taking your time. But on a walking trip I heard a strange woosing sound coming from the skies and when looking up, it amazed me to see the scare of my life. If you have seen the Hollywood made movie 'asteroid's then you understand what I'm saying. Out of no where this fireball came falling down to earth, it was "BIG" and making an never before heard sound and was red glowing at the bottom side. Yes it looked indeed like a asteroid or something like this.

It came down and then just fell a part like you see with fire works when shot up in the skies. I never found a piece of this on the ground, at least not as far as I ever heard, even my dogs were howling as they were scared like hell. When returning home, I called the local RCMP station and they answered like I was a drunk, although they had received another call like this from New Yeiyens a village about 2 hours driving north of Terrace,B.C. at around 11:00 p.m. That night also, when I told them this looked almost like it was above the town they kinda sounded like, 'yea right', nobody else had seen this object that night. I went on the PC at home and checked all networks I could find, but non had reported a thing. How can something this big get passed our safety lines with all them satellites we have out there ?

Would like to hear from you soon, as my wife is more in sky watching as I am. But even so, we have seen many strange objects throughout the whole year that sure have 'no' airplane light etc..etc..

I thank you for your time reading this and please inform us as to what 'you' have observed in the skies also.

Thank you.

Investigators note: I received another report just like this one from Kitimat which is about 45 minutes away from the above folks.

Red/Orange Colored Meteor Spotted In The Sky At Kitimat, British Columbia

Date: March 5, 2002
Time: approx: 8:45 p.m.

I received this report from a family in Kitimat, B.C. This first letter from the mother explains what her son saw while they were all standing outside star gazing. The second letter is from the boy's father and gave me more detailed information.

Hello Brian, we read the article in the Weekend Advertiser regarding HWY 16 reports of bright objects in the sky.

We live in Kitimat and on March 5th, around 8:45 p.m. we decided to go look at the stars because it was such a clear night. My husband and I were looking one way and my son (9 years old) was looking towards the north when he said he saw a bright light with a red and orange layer going straight down from the sky. He described the object as having a tail. He said he didn't see it fall to the ground because it disappeared behind a tree. I had him draw and write down what he saw. He wrote "Going down like a ball of fire. " I'm wondering if you could tell us what this could possibly be. I believe him because he became very excited at the time. Yours truly.

(Below - Letter from the father:)

We were outside on the driveway on the north side of the house. I was gazing up to the sky over head towards the south and west trying to pick out a planet. No. We do not have a telescope. My wife, was looking at the star chart in the latest issue of the Star News magazine. She was more or less facing east but looking down to the magazine. We were trying to make sense of the chart with the stars above us.

You had asked about the object falling behind the tree. After asking our son some questions to find out little more about what he saw. The tree that was mentioned in my wife's message was a tree that was on the front lawn of the house across the street from the house we are living in. The tree is situated roughly north by north east of us. There is a 5,500 foot Mountain called Mt. Elizabeth about ten or fifteen miles, as the crow flies, out the town of Kitimat. It is towards the northeast of the town. It is not visible from the front lawn of our house. The aforementioned tree is roughly on the sightline in-between the house and Mt. Elizabeth.

From what our son said, it seemed to me that the lighted object was a little east of the tree and falling in an angle towards it. My son has no idea whether the object was falling in front of the mountain or behind it.

I hope some of this information, though not much, is of some help to you. We wish you luck in finding out what it is and hope you will let us know what our son has witnessed. Kindest regards.

A Circle Of Lights Over Terrace, British Columbia (UFO)

Date: March 8, 2002
Time: Between 9:00 and 10:30 p.m.

Hi, my name is (deleted by Brian Vike) and I live in Terrace. I seen your clip in our weekend newspaper and thought I would like to tell you my experience. I sit outside to have a cigarette and on the evening of March 8th I saw the most usual circle of lights. At first it was really bright and as time passed, which was about 5-6 minutes the lights began to fade further in the sky and these lights were not of a plane, as I see many planes fly overhead as we only live 10 minutes from the airport. It was the strangest set of lights I have every seen. This took place in the evening as it was very dark. I would have to say it was between 9:00 p.m. and 10:30. I'm not positive of the time, now I'm always looking up at the sky wondering if it will return. If and when it does, I plan on recording the time on my calendar. I have always believed there really are UFOs, but this is the first time I have seen what I believe to be a UFO.

Well I'm signing of for now and I will keep in touch if I see anymore bright lights.

Investigators Note: This is the second such report I have received from a witness who claims to have seen a circle of lights in the night sky. The other witness will have the information for me this week sometime as she lives in my town of Houston, B.C. Also I will follow this report up to see what, if any other information is available.

Update: The color of lights I would have to describe them as very bright almost white in color. At first they didn't move then they did move going west. The sky was full of stars and it was very clear and cold out I believe their were 6-9 lights and when it moved they went west very slowly and seem to be going in slow motion.

UFOs Again Visit Vanderhoof, British Columbia

Date: First week in February ??
Time: Between 6:00 - 6:30 PM

The witness telephoned me explaining she watched an extremely bright white light just east of Vanderhoof on Surgeon Point Road. (Note: This is where I investigated the September 2001 crop circles) I mentioned that I had investigated the crop circles and she said her sighting took place 2 miles east of where I carried out the field investigation. The witness said she only observed this light for approximately a minute after she came up over a hill on Surgeon Point Road and it was there above her. After she got home the next morning she told her husband what she had seen and said it resembled an airplane coming into an airport with a bright light on. This lady said she observed it for about 200 meters before she drove behind the trees and could not see it anymore.

She then said she did not realize what she was looking at as she was too far down the road. She said now she wished she had stopped and looked at it longer. When she got further along the road in a position where she would probably be able to see it again .. it was gone.

I asked what colour were the lights. I was told it was very bright and it looked just like an airliner's landing lights, but it had only one extremely bright white light. I also asked her if she could remember the time that this took place, and she said it was between 6:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Her impression of it was that the light was below the crest of the mountains, between Vanderhoof in a south-westerly position.

I asked her if the Vanderhoof airport was able to take any commercial traffic, she said no because the airport does not have any runway lights for night time traffic and went on to say they are not even allowed to land due to this reason.

(Investigators Note) - I already knew that there was no commercial traffic at the Vanderhoof airport and it is not equipped to have night landings as I had talked with Mr. Brent Miskuski back in September of 2001. He was the gentleman who flew over and discovered the 6 new crop circles. She also mentioned that this light was too bright to be from any type of aircraft that we know of.

I have to check to see if any helicopters were flying around the date and time frame mentioned here. This lady after telling her husband and reading my letter to the editor said, "hey I seen that light" And of course the light disappears so quickly.

Now here is where it gets really interesting:

Just before the end of the conversation she said she was surprised no one else had phoned from Vanderhoof to report this strange very bright white light. (Investigators Note): I gave a very brief statement about the two other Vanderhoof residents who reported to me. One report was south of Prince George and the other report was spotted over Sinkut Mountain.)

After I mentioned Sinkut Mountain she said "hold the bus" ! It was either Thursday or Friday morning which would have been February 28 or March 1, 2002 there was an unusual light in that direction of Sinkut Mountain which she can see from her kitchen window. Her first thoughts were that it was just a logging truck. I asked her then what color this light was, she replied that the light was white and extremely bright. The witness actually told me she had looked at this through binoculars and it was just a pure bright white light and was there for quite some time. I then asked did this light do anything out of the norm ? She told me the light would move, then stop and was gone, but in an instant it was back where it started from. She told me the light would zip around so quickly in that area it could not have been any aircraft or logging equipment. I asked her if she was able to remember a time and she said approximately 5:30 a.m.

(Investigators Note): Well I almost fell over because the other two witnesses reported the very same thing, at around the same time. This lady went on to say again that they live on a hill over looking the valley and have an uninterrupted view of Sinkut Mountain and she said it seemed to her that the light was west of Sinkut Mountain and even using binoculars she could not make out anything but a bright white light.

Keep in mind what caught my interest was when she mentioned the February 28 or March 1, 2002 sighting she watched from her kitchen. This would be "exactly" what the other two witnesses told me when they were traveling on Langston Road heading towards Prince George at approx: 5:30 - 6:00 a.m. This new sighting confirms the other couples report.

What this was is anyone's guess but I do plan to spend some time on this and see if I can come up with an explanation. I know for a fact there was "no" equipment working in the area at the time of the sightings. I did check this out. I am going to also have to rule out snowmobiles.

Couple Watch UFO Speed Off Between Smithers And Houston

Late 2001 0r 2002 ??? The wife says this year.
Hungry Hill - 10:00 minutes from Houston heading west.
Time: Not known
Month: Not known.

My wife and I were traveling from Smithers to Houston - I think around 2001 or 2002 (she will remember) any ways on the way up Hungry Hill we saw a what appeared to be a very large craft, but with very, very dim lights glowing from underneath. We watched it for a long time as we climbed Hungry Hill, we both agreed it could not be a plane, I remarked to my wife jokingly that the lights on the craft were so dim and he should hit his high-beams. Well just them the lights(can't remember how many) got super, super bright and the craft sped off. There were a lot of cars of the highway that night.

The fellows reply about how they ended up finding me, and what it was I did.

Seen you in the post office and noticed your jacket- did a search on Google with UFO Houston and came up with your web site. Wife says it was this year that we saw the craft. She said it had a flashing light as well as the bright white lights. She thinks red. I say it was last year we saw it - not sure though.

Telkwa, British Columbia UFO Flashes Brilliant Colors While Moving Along

February 7, 2002
Time: Approx: 8:45 PM

A gentleman telephoned me from Telkwa, B.C. to report something rather strange that he and his wife watched while sitting in their hot tub outdoors. The witness said he was looking towards the east and mentioned that he wasn't quite sure what it was he saw. He explained that this thing was changing colors, really, really fast and said it was not a planet or star and wasn't anything like this and the colors were very distinct.

The witness said it almost seemed like it was in the glide path the planes use to land at the Smithers Airport. He first thought it may be a plane. About a half hour later it was still in exactly the same position when he first observed the colored lights. He went on to say an hour later the lights were exactly in the same spot and he totally ruled out this being an aircraft.

The colors were changing from red to green to blue and went on to say the lights just snapped in and out (or off and on). After observing them for over an hour they completely disappeared. In his words: "It was if someone blew out a candle" and the lights were gone.

Investigators Note: When I was listening to this report my first thoughts were that what they were seeing was most likely a star. "But" after these lights stayed stationary for an hour or more I ruled this out. I wish we could have gotten a picture of this. It may not have shown much but would have been interesting anyway.

Thank you to the witness for sending along this report.

UFO Reported Low Or On The Ground At Vanderhoof, British Columbia

Date of First Sighting: Around the first of February 2002 ?
Early morning before daybreak (Approx: 5:30 - 6:00 AM)

Viewed Over Sinkut Mountain
Location: Approx: 13 miles east of Vanderhoof towards Prince George, BC

The two witnesses reported that the bright lights looked as if they were on a landing (meaning an area which has been logged and now clear of timber). They reported that these lights flashed on and off repeatedly and moving around in a large area. They both said they watched this for a long time wondering what it was as the light was very bright and they thought it may have possibly been someone logging but it travelled in such a square area and moved very fast. It then disappeared and started the same procedure all over again.

On February 28, 2002 near daybreak they saw the same lights again. I asked for more precise location details and she told me they saw the lights approximately 13 miles east out of Vanderhoof, BC heading towards Prince George on Langston Road. Both times these lights were observed the witnesses thought they were seeing someone logging using one of the big machines as the lights were so bright. The witness told me her husband had made a call to the Forestry Services to enquire if anyone was logging in the area as it looked so strange and thinking there was an reasonable explanation to what they were seeing. The Forestry said there was no one logging at all in that area (on either occasion).

I asked the witness if she could give me some idea how high these lights may have been off the mountain. She said the lights were off Sinkut Mountain, (and there were a few hills between the mountain) at around tree - line and "looked" actually as if the lights were going around a cut block and were not very high in the sky at all she said. She also mentioned it was quite a distance away from them. I then asked what the color of this large, very bright light was. She asked her husband also and told me it was orangey - white in color. She went on to say again how fast these lights were moving in such a large area. They ruled out it being an aircraft due to the lights moving right around this block of land.

They also thought it could not have been a highway truck because of the height of the lights. As she mentioned to me again, these lights would be traveling slow, then speed up and would then disappear all together. Then all of a sudden they would reappear. When it did reappear it was in a different spot in the same area. Both her and her husband found that whatever this was it did not make any logical sense to them both. They said they watched the latest lights for about 20 minutes before they completely vanished but in the earlier sighting around the first of the month they watched it for a much longer time.

She said to me it spooked her husband and this was one reason why they placed a call to the Forestry just to check whether or not people were working in the area, but they were told no ! She did mention that they could see no shape to the lights as it was just too dark and went on again to say how bright the light was. (She said to me that the light was incredibly bright) and added that it was moving way too fast to be an aircraft or any trucks, etc. The witness said to me she thought it looked like it was surveying something as it kept going around this one area.

Both witnesses thought the incidents incredibly strange but had put them out of their mind until they saw the article I had placed in their local newspaper whereas they immediately telephoned to tell me of their experience.

Investigators Note: I just got off the telephone with a member of the Forestry Service in Vanderhoof to ask if there was or has been any logging or road clearing in this area where the sightings took place. He said NO ! He did say there was some bug burning operation but this was taking place down low in the valley and not close to where the lights were observed. I also asked him about the statement the witnesses made about the lights around tree-line. he again told me there would have been no logging or anything else taking place up that high. So again, another mystery.

Unusual Lights Witnessed Around Prince George, British Columbia

Friday, February 15, 2002 - approx: 11:30 PM
Three very bright lights.

Below is what the witness told me in a telephoned conversation. The person phoned me long distance to give me this sighting report.

Witnesses report: These folks had picked up their local newspaper (The Omineca Express) in Vanderhoof, B.C. and were reading the letter to the editor in which I had sent in, in hopes of bringing forward any other people who may have seen something strange in the night's sky over the last month or two. The husband picked up the paper and read about my request for information which brought up the subject between him and his wife which had forgotten about the lights they had seen on February 15, 2002. After reading this article she picked up the telephone and called me informing me of their sighting just outside of Prince George, B.C.

We were coming back from Vancouver, B.C. heading home to Prince George, B.C. and (deleted) was sleeping in the back seat. We arrived in Prince George at around 11:30 PM on Friday, February 15, 2002.

Just before a long bridge which takes you over top the Fraser River there is a long straight stretch of road which runs by the Industrial Site. The wife looked over to her right and observed three very bright lights, almost like stadium lights up on the hillside. She told me she was driving and very tired due to the long trip home, but was still looking up on the hillside wondering what was there. She also mentioned to me she drives this area a lot and knows what is around the area, etc....

Her thoughts were of a possible tower that she had not noticed before, but then passed a Van which was pulled over to the side of the Highway and people standing around the side of the road. As she watched them and getting closer to the bridge which heads into the city of Prince George, she seen another vehicle stopped with it's door open and a man standing outside watching the sky. She said then she should have pulled over but after driving all day these folks were very tired. (Investigator's note: I can relate to this as I have done the same drive so many times, it is a good 9 hour drive between Prince George and Vancouver, B.C.)

As she passes this fellow who is stopped watching the sky she proceeds to cross the bridge which takes her over the Fraser River and exits right off the bridge which takes you underneath the bridge as you can take another road into Vanderhoof this way instead of taking Highway # 16 west.

She mentioned to me that she would have seen the lights once again after taking this other road heading home, but she said they had "vanished" and seen nothing when she should have seen these lights still at this time.

I explained about the recent sightings to her briefly and she went on to say the light she seen was "really" bright and was not very high in the sky just about where a tower would be. There were three lights. Two of the lights were together and the third light was more distant than the other two. She went on to say there were just to high, and again they looked like they were stadium lights.

I explained a few things to her, and how some people see aircraft lights which have their landing lights on when approaching an airport. She went on to say that these lights were stationary. And now she reflects back on this even she wishes she did stop to watch as there were others standing watching the sky also.
Like she said, it was just really weird.

Witnesses Report Humming Sound From Large UFO And Seen Over The Houston Industrial Park Sighting

On Sunday, February 3, 2002 another sighting was reported to me which took place in my home town of Houston, British Columbia. There were two witnesses (husband and wife). While this couple were at their residence, which is above their business the wife heard a loud humming noise coming from outside. She got up to investigate, looking out a couple of windows before she noticed a very bright white object hovering above the Bulkley River just north a few hundred yards from their place of residence.

She called to her husband to come and see it. They both witnessed this large bright white object shooting beams of light down towards the river hovering at tree top level. This sighting lasted approx: 30 seconds from the time it was discovered before it shot up the side of the mountain and disappeared. I was told the speed of this object was incredible to say the least. This couple told me they were going to call the Houston RCMP thinking that the object had crashed into the side of the mountain but did not as the object continued it's course up the mountain and out of sight before they knew what was going on.

Investigators Note:

I have visited the area where this craft was hovering, but have not found any trace evidence of any kind. Mind you we had about 4 inches of snow late the night of this sighting. I have also taken photos of this area for my files.

Nanaimo, British Columbia A Large Oblong Shaped UFO

Date: December 21, 2002
Time: Early afternoon

Another strange thing I saw happened last year in Nanaimo. I was visiting a friend and we were in her backyard in the early afternoon and right above our heads was a large oblong shaped craft. You couldn't look at it directly for long because the sun was so bright and reflecting off it so it was hard on the eyes, you had to turn away from the brightness but I did make out the shape and the color was sliver. I told my friend but she was trying to control her kids and just glanced up briefly because of the sun and couldn't make out anything. When I tried to look again I couldn't see it. I thought maybe it was the good year blimp? I don't know.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
