Old Historic Hazelton British Columbia (Pictures)

Hazelton is one of the oldest settlements in Northern British Columbia, its European settlement dates back to 1866 when the Collins Overland telegraph went through.

Hazelton was the original gateway and staging area for the Omineca Gold Rush of 1869-73. Besides the hunt for riches, there was one other important reason to visit: it had the only proper hospital for hundreds of miles in any direction. 

One of its other, less appreciated, distinctions was in having dozens of roaming, foraging and howling sled dogs, as nearly everyone had their own team and many were allowed to run free.

Object With Gold/Yellow Trail Of Sparks Observed Flying Over Ogdensburg New York (Diagram)

Time: Approximately 9:00 p.m.

Hello Brian I was outside picking up the kids bikes and it was approximately 9:00 p.m. when I turned around facing the southeast I saw a trail of sparks yellow in color and that just appeared out of nowhere.

What was strange about it, there was no noise and the trail was about a mile long in the sky and then it just disappeared like it imploded.

Again the color was gold/yellow and sparkles leaving a trail, it was really cool to see.

Was there a meteor shower that no one knew about that night.

Large Glowing Gold Saucer Shaped UFO Spotted By RCMP Members Over Granisle British Columbia

Pictures and a video clip have been added of the area, welcome to Granisle, British Columbia sign, Ferry that runs across Babine Lake (video and photo). What area roads are like in the winter.

I just happened to be out at Babine Lake this December of 2010 and I filmed a little from the barge when crossing the lake. Gives an idea of the area and I have added the footage below.

(Vike Factor Note: Granisle is a small town 45 minutes northeast from where I live in Houston, British Columbia, Canada. Granisle has a population of 400 residents and the main industries are tourism and logging. Once the site of a copper mine. (Granisle Copper and Bell Copper) who had two large open pit mines).

I was contacted by a gentleman ( RCMP Officer) recently who gave me quite a story. The witness was with another fellow driving north just a couple of kilometers south of Granisle, B.C. (their exact location when they viewed the craft was at Topley Landing). The two large forest companies here in Houston have a barge which runs back and forth across Babine Lake carrying logging trucks. The old Bell Copper mine is directly across the lake from the witnesses position. An approximate guess would be a 3/4 to 1 mile between the craft and the witnesses.

The officers observed a large glowing orange/gold almost saucer shaped (oval) object hovering right over top the old Bell Copper mine. They said it was very low to the ground. At this point they pulled over to have a look and to try to figure out what they were seeing. As they watched the object hover, it would rise up very slowly and come to a complete stop, move sideways then stop and drop down roughly the same height from the ground when the witnesses first saw it.

Vike Factor Note: I asked if they witnessed any type of light coming from the object, meaning a downwards beam of light. They both told me no, no lights were seen coming from the object. They did say that it almost looked as if every time the object moved to another position and dropped back down, it seemed to them the light intensity grew from the object while it stayed stationary. At "one" point the object moved out over the lake and stopped for a few seconds, then went back over top the mine once again.

They mentioned they heard no sound at all, but keeping in mind that the two police officers were some distance away from the object when viewing it. Vike Factor Note: I asked them if they could give me an approximate size of this UFO. Their rough estimate was about the size of the moon (maybe a hair smaller). They also said there were a few other cars and trucks that passed by them at the time, but no one stopped.

But they did say that everyone traveling the highway had to have seen it, you couldn't miss it. They said the area around the object, (ground area) was lit up for some distance. Also due to the brightness of the craft it cast it's reflection on the lake. The men watched this event for approximately 7 minutes before it rose up and left slowly heading north, still at a low altitude and out of their sight.

(Vike Factor Note: I found this a very interesting case to work on. Three things came to mind. Why was this craft sitting over the old Granisle/ Bell Copper mine? Why did it move and stop over top of the lake? Why did the intensity seem to grow when it moved to a new position and hover? Actually I have a million questions I could think of to ask, but who? I am not sure if I can gain access to the mine, but I am going to check into it, as I would love to take a drive out to have a look around.

Also something to keep in mind, Granisle Copper and Bell Copper mine's sit on an island on Babine Lake. Since the mines have been closed for sometime it may be hard to get onto the property.

Also rumors have been floating around that one of the companies were thinking of going back in and high grading the remaining ore. One other note to this story which may be of interest. On the mine site there have been a good number of fossils found, one which has brought a lot of attention has been the Mammoth bones which have been found, and also were buried by the mine some time ago when it was in operation.

From a newspaper article in the Smithers Interior newspaper a while back the company thought it best to not have their mining operation stopped, or slowed down by having folks digging for these fossils.

Three White Lights Shot Upward And Disappeared Over Coomera River Gold Coast Queensland Australia

 Date:  1970's

Time:  Evening.

 

Hello, I was recently re-united with some old friends (now very old) with whom I used to fish many years ago in the Coomera River on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.

 

We saw a UFO at the time, four of us. During our reunion, we chatted about how we had seen this and wondered if anybody else saw it. We did not say anything at the time, as we did not want people to think we were loopy (besides we were not supposed to be in the river).

I have not thought much about it since (1970's) but just Googled and discovered someone in that area had seen a UFO in 2009.

What we saw: We had put our nets in the river and camped on the bank to wait for our catch.

We were lying on the bank and looking up into night sky when I saw three lights which could be described as round like in a security light, the old ones with the huge roundish bulbs.  

 

The 2009 note says he saw orange/red which changed to white. The lights just sat above me and were definitely white. I said to my friends, "can anyone see what I can see"
 

The replies were, yes shudder shudder and there are three lights.

All of a sudden they just zoomed vertically up into the night sky and were gone. I am unsure how long this lasted.

UFO Had Trailers Of Gold And Silver And Seen Over Matamoras Pennsylvania

Time:  7:30 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw a bright light in the sky that I thought at first was a very bright star because it is so clear tonight. I was outside walking by my house, but as I walked, I noticed it seemed to have a "starburst" effect of some sort of trailers in gold/silver, and multicolor trailers.

 

After not being able to tell if it was me walking that was distorting the moving effect, I stopped and stood still. It definitely moves. It had started out really high in the sky and it progressively moved downward. But before moving it would brighten intensely like a light bulb that was getting ready to blowout, and then it would go dim.

 

Only to brighten up really, really brightly and then the starburst "trail" effects of colors would show, then it would bank off either left to right or down then left. Not in any direction that a traditional aircraft could move stealthily and easily.

 

Then I noticed the second one, which I also thought was a star because it is smaller. Upon standing still for quite a while and watching. The same patterns and colors emerged and they are both moving at weird angles, with weird lights and patterns.

 

My nine-year old son also saw what I saw and took out his iPod Touch and took a video of the larger one, but the quality is not great. I don't know what to make of this, but it is not my first experience in this area with UFO's.

Object With Orange And Gold Flames Filmed Over Richards Bay South Africa (Picture)

Time:  Evening.

 

Hi Brian, hope you are well, yesterday I was luck enough to see something incredible. I was on my balcony and saw about 8 lights flash across the sky, it was a bit scary at first, but was something I've never seen before.

 

I believe they want to come down and communicate. Then tonight my manager down in Richards Bay sitting at the harbour saw a strange light hovering above the harbour. I've attached the picture.

 

Where are you based, I'd love to meet and discuss this because they getting more and more and closer and closer. Regards.

Hi Brian, Yeah it is amazing. Richards Bay is in South Africa, he said he saw 6 at the same time.

 

The lights I saw were for about 3 seconds and no sound. Was bright orange. Weather was a bit overcast. Looked almost like orange and gold flames.

I'm so interested in what's going on and the amount of sightings.

Gold Orange Colored UFO Over Columbus Ohio

 

Date:  Summer 2010

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

 

In the Summer 2010, I and 3 others were witness to a ball of light over Columbus going from east to west, then changing course to the north, northeast. I noticed initially as we were sitting outside around a fire pit about 10:00 PM.  I was facing west when I noticed a star in the sky that seemed a bit out of place. 

 

I pointed at it to the 2 people who were sitting around the fire as I thought it was a satellite. This ball seemed very high in the sky, but then started to descend toward us. You could see it dropping in altitude at a slow steady rate and moving toward us from our viewpoint. 

 

The object looked like a gold/yellowish beach ball that was emitting a golden orange light from it. I live below the final approach turn for Port Columbus and have seen everything from commercial to military planes fly over, including the police helicopter and Medevac copters going into OSU.  

 

This object descended to just above tree level to the west of us from a very high altitude and proceeded east maybe 200/300 feet above the ground and no more than a few hundred feet away from us. We watched this ball for at least 2 minutes from when I first saw it.  

 

This object was not an aircraft. It was a sold glowing ball of a gold/orange color! There were no anti collision lights, landing lights, strobes or anything that would identify it as a any type of conventional aircraft. There was no sound from it, it moved silently through the sky.  

 

As it moved east just above the tree line at a slow speed, it turned north northeast. We watched it until it disappeared from view. We all had an uneasy feeling as we were watching this as well. I know what aircraft look like at night and day, I'm a private pilot myself and an aviation enthusiast. 

 

I know what we saw was not an aircraft. I have seen this ball probably 3 - 4 more times since then either going west to east or north to south typical just west of where we are in Grandview. These sightings were confirmed for me last night. I was outside speaking with my friend who lives on a farm north of 270 and how we got into the subject, I'm not sure, but he mentioned that he has seen that same ball of light over his farm. 

 

Same exact description of what we saw flying over Grandview. He saw this object emitting some sort of strobe over his farmland. He too had an uneasy feeling when he witnessed this gold object. For a long time I was wondering if we were just imagining seeing this flying orb, but I now have another witness that saw the same thing.  

 

Last time I saw this object was earlier in June when it was just to the west of me flying from North to South just after sunset. I wonder if there are others in Columbus who have seen this also.

Gold Orange Colored Advil Shaped Object Over Long Point Ontario

Date: July 22, 2011

Time: Between 11:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.

To whom it may concern: I just read on the “Vike Factor” of a sighting at Long Point. On Friday July 22, 2011 between about 11:00pm and 11:30pm, my husband and I both saw an "Advil" shaped object running parallel to the beach.

It was a gold/orange colour and radiated its own light. There was no noise at all and it moved low in the sky and fairly slowly. I was wondering if anyone else saw it or knew what it was. Thank you.

Gold Colored Rectangular Upright Cylindrical Spinning UFO Over Fulton New York

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Just after 9:30pm I was going to pick up my girlfriend from work. I traveled Route 3 Fulton, New York going east to the super Wal-Mart in Grandby, New York. I spotted to the northeast roughly 1000 to 1500 feet in the sky an upright cylindrical spinning object.

The object was very bright with a gold glow. At first I thought it may have been the north star, however the shape and appearance of the object made this unnatural to me.

As I tried to also watch the road and the object at the same time, I drove by a cluster of tall trees and still through the cover saw the light, however as I cleared the trees the object was gone.

Today on 9-12-2011 my girlfriends nephew stopped by and asked if we saw the UFO's ? I said I think I may have seen one. He replied I saw seven that night at once in the town of Volney New York in the north eastern sky.

We were in two different towns when this happened and about the same time, cool hey? I can’t explain this, but an investigation may me worth it. I know what I saw indeed and it wasn't anything I have ever seen before like a plane helicopter etc. Please help, my girlfriends nephew even posted on Facebook on what he saw also.

Gold Ball Of Light Over Mount Merrion Co. Dublin Ireland

Hi, I just thought I would give you an email to say I saw what the witness described http://worldufos.blogspot.com/2011/03/bright-orange-balllight-over-mount.html in this article on a Saturday in February.

It was Saturday the 19th of February on the N11 between Fassaroe and the Bray\Shankhill exit, about 7:00pm ish. I was going north and it was going south, flying low and then it veered to the west. We lost sight of it. We saw it for about 1 minute as it came down the motor way and then went off it.

Looked like a meteor, except it was too low and too slow. No flashing colours just a gold ball, that was very bright gold light. Me and my wife both observed it. I spotted it and asked my wife did she know what it was, which she didn't.

Gold Shiny Boomerang Shaped UFO 10 Miles NW Of Green Bay Wisconsin

Time: Approx: 4:30 p.m.

Hi Brian Vike, my son says he saw a gold shiny boomerang shaped UFO around 4:30pm heading North on 11 January 2011.

He says it came from the clouds, or just appeared super fast, faster than aircraft, faster than anything he has seen. It went from south to north and we live around 10 miles NW of Green Bay, WI.

I trust what he says, he is a 9 your boy scout, seen AF jets, I am in the Air National Guard, and he says faster than any F-16, etc. We have seen F-16's fly over our previous house for the Packer games from my base at the 115th FW.

It was bigger than a regular sized airplane, we occasionally get fly overs for Austin-Straubel airport in Green Bay, so he has seen flights over or near our house. He says it kind of disappeared which was really weird to him. He was excited when I came home from work and he saw it while snowboarding outside after school in our front yard.

I Googled tonight for gold boomerang shaped UFOs and found this sight and your posting about the below report. I didn't expect to see other sightings like his. He says it disappeared while still in sight. He says also it made no noise at all and it wasn’t that high up. He also stated no lights either, etc. Thanks.

Orange Gold Objects Over Harpeth School Road Franklin Tennessee (Pictures)

Time: It was dusk, about 5:57 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Looked like orange gold orbs that swooped down and then took off horizontally north to south. My pictures don't show exactly what I saw because I waited to long to take the picture and they moved further away. I was a little amazed.

They had a trail behind them like a aircraft might in my vision. I've never seen anything like it. The picture is amazing. The 2 orbs were obviously following each other.

Attached are the pictures that I took yesterday at dusk with my Iphone. I put in my form that it was approximately 6:30pm, but when I checked my Iphone it was exactly 5:57pm.

You will have to enlarge the picture to see them. I took three separate shots in a row. Look closing at the first photo because one is in the left of the picture and one is on the right of the picture behind a tree.

It was amazing in person. I saw them closer up but by the time I took the picture they moved off in the tree line.

I am not a UFO watcher.

I was driving to the store and was taken aback when I saw these things and then stopped my car, call my boyfriend then realized they were moving away so I hung up the phone and shot a picture with my iphone.

I just wish I knew what they were.

Dark Gold Orange Object Leaves Trail Over Fort Wayne Indiana

Date: September 4, 2010
Time: 7:00 a.m.

I too saw something out of the normal on Saturday Morning Sept 4 about 7:00am, as I was driving west on Jefferson Blvd from Main St. in Fort Wayne. It was to my left (north) about 300 ft off ground moving to the West. (about speed of airplane)

It looked like a Meteor, but to me more like something entering the earths atmosphere. It was leaving a trail and was dark gold/orange in color. I turned to my passenger and asked if they too saw that, and they replied yes.

When we arrived at our destination about 3 minutes later, I was standing by the car and looked toward the sky in the area I projected it to be traveling, and didn’t see anything, but heard a very load roaring sound for about 4-5 minutes. (sounded like I was standing in the middle of a highway.) This is weird, I was wandering if this had been seen or heard by anyone else in our area.

Two Bright Gold/Reddish Objects Over Dixon Missouri

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My wife and I live several miles away from any type of bright lights (city). We enjoy star gazing and have been watching the ISS satellite pass over for about a year. On August the 25th we watched the 8:29 pass as expected SSW-ENE. We went inside to watch some TV, then went outside to smoke. About 9:18 we saw a pinnacle of light moving from northeast towards the southwest. At first we thought it was the ISS coming back for it's second pass for the night, but the timing wasn't right.

The ISS wasn't due until 10:06 (which we did view right on time and location). What I saw was two bright gold/reddish objects, maybe connected moving in unison with each other in a straight line directly overhead northeast to southwest at a high rate of speed.

Around 4 minutes from horizon to horizon. The object had the look of an orbital object, same type of steady fluid flow. No sound, no flashing lights, no directional navigation colored lights.
The only explanation I could think up at the time was that it was the space lab and what I was seeing was the huge solar panels, but why wouldn't it look like it did about 45 minutes ago?

Why wasn't this sighting listed on NASA's site for human space flight sightings? We do live 125 miles from Whitman Air Force Base, I was in the airforce and I worked maintenance on tankers and understand the refueling procedures fairly well. I don't believe this was a refueling operation, but I don't have any other explanation for what we saw. Please, help us figure it out.

5 Gold Lights Over Lipson Plymouth UK

Hello, my name is (name removed) and last night I saw 5 red and gold stars floating at equal distance, following the same trajectory over my house. I live in Lipson, Plymouth and I wondered if you had any information on what they could be? I am positive they were not aeroplanes and not fireworks.

Shimmering Gold Colored UFO Over North Burnaby, B.C.

Brian, I'm wondering about an experience I had. It was sometime in 1992 (I think). I was a taxi driver in the greater Vancouver BC area. I was just pulling up to an apartment building to drop off my fare in North Burnaby. I glanced to my left over south Burnaby area and noticed high in the sky a shimmering gold colored object. It was very high (I can't hazard a guess how high but several miles for sure) and moving at a tremendous speed. My first thought was that it was one of the space shuttles that I had read about in the paper that would be visble on its decent to its landing place in California or Texas, I can't remember which.

I got on my radio and advised the other drivers they should look up in the location in the sky for a look. Only one driver came back and said they couldn't see anything. Nothing more was said. It didn't occur to me until I read a UFO report on another site that described a similar sighting that maybe it wasn't the space shuttle after all. I am wondering if you know of the space shuttle flight to which I refer and if there were any sightings of it back then.

RCMP In Granisle British Columbia Observe Gold Colored UFO Hovering Over Copper Mine

Time: 10:25 p.m.

(The Vike Factor Note: Granisle is a small town 45 minutes northeast from where I live in Houston, British Columbia, Canada. Granisle has a population of 400 residents and the main industries are tourism and logging. Once the site of a copper mine. (Granisle Copper and Bell Copper) who had two large open pit mines).

I was contacted by a gentleman (I will say this, it was a person in authority) recently who gave me quite a story. The witness was with another fellow driving north just a couple of kilometers south of Granisle, B.C. (their exact location when they viewed the craft was at Topley Landing. The two large forest companies here in Houston have a barge which runs back and forth across Babine Lake carrying logging trucks) The old Bell Copper mine is directly across the lake from the witnesses position. An approx: guess would be a 3/4 to 1 mile between the craft and the witnesses.

The fellows observed a large glowing orange/gold almost saucer shaped (oval?) object hovering right over top the old Bell Copper mine. They said it was very low to the ground. At this point they pulled over to have a look and to try to figure out what they were seeing. As they watched the object hover, it would rise up very slowly and come to a complete stop, move sideways then stop and drop down roughly the same height from the ground when the witnesses first seen it. (The Vike Factor Note: I asked if they witnessed any type of light coming from the object, meaning a downwards beam of light). They both told me no, no lights were seen coming from the object. They did say that it almost looked as if every time the object moved to another position and dropped back down, it seemed to them the light intensity grew from the object while it stayed stationary. At "one" point the object moved out over the lake and stopped for a few seconds, then went back over top the mine once again.

They mentioned they heard no sound at all, but keeping in mind that the two fellows were some distance away from the object when viewing it. (The Vike Factor Note: I asked them if they could give me an approx: size of this thing). There rough estimate was about the size of the Moon (maybe a hair smaller). They also said there were a few other cars and trucks that passed by them at the time, but no one stopped. (The Vike Factor Note: I can certainly understand why no one stopped to see what was going on, as I know who the witnesses were.)

But they did say that everyone traveling the highway had to have seen it, you couldn't miss it. They said the area around the object, (ground area) was lit up for some distance. Also due to the brightness of the craft it cast it's reflection on the lake. The men watched this event for approx; 7 minutes before it rose up and left slowly heading north, still at a low altitude and out of their sight.

The Vike Factor Note: I find this a very interesting case to work on. Three things come to mind, why was this craft sitting over the old Granisle/ Bell Copper mine. Why did it move and stop over top of the lake. Why did the intensity seem to grow when it moved to a new position and hover. Actually I have a million questions I could think of to ask, but who ? I am not sure if I can gain access to the mine, but I am going to check into it, as I would love to take a drive out to have a look around. Also something to keep in mind, Granisle Copper & Bell Copper mine's sit on an island on Babine Lake. Since the mines have been closed for sometime it may be hard to get onto the property. Also rumors have been floating around that one of the companies were thinking of going back in and high grading the remaining ore. One other note to this story which may be of interest. On the mine site there have been a good number of fossils found, one which has brought a lot of attention has been the Mammoth. Bones have been found, and also were buried by the mine sometime ago when it was in operation. From a newspaper article in the Smithers Interior newspaper a while back the company thought it best to not have their mining operation stopped, or slowed down by having folks digging for these fossils.

Anyway, there you have the short version to this case, but I wanted to get this one out as I just received it this past week. there is a lot more to do on this one, in hopes of finding some more answers to this amazing case. Also I think it would be a good idea to pop into the newspaper office and see if they will run the sighting report in hopes that some of the other folks who drove by might come forward and give their take on this.

While I am at it, I have received more reports as well. Just tonight Saturday November 22, 2002 I received two telephone calls from Terrace, B.C. over stange lights in the sky.

Montreal, Quebec Bright Lights Almost Gold In Color Gliding Through The Trees

Hello Mr. Vike,

I am a 32 year old mom, from Montreal. Myself and a few others, who live in the buildings next to me. We have noticed 3 objects almost every night for the past few months. Sometimes as many as five. These objects are in the back forest behind us. They are not hard to see and they are very close, close enough to know they are not planes or any other kind of normal aircraft.

These objects have a very bright light, almost gold in color. It's intensity changes all the time. We have all witnessed these things glide through the trees and have been hearing a very low pitched noise during the day and night. Sounds like someone blowing into the top of a large glass jug, but very rhythmic.

Hearing this the other day, I decided to go out to see if I could locate what is making the noise. I did not see anything, but somehow knew there was something there. The activity is getting much stronger every day. For the past four days, we have noticed one of these objects on the forest floor with others in the sky above it and there has been 100x the amount of planes and air traffic. Way above normal. When the planes get close, these things seem to drop down into the forest and then once the plane has cleared, the lights will return to it's former position.

I have been trying to figure this out for a few months now and cannot.
