Canadian UFO Investigator Brian Vike’s Note: On March 29, 2015 I received an email from a lady who was looking for a telephone interview I did with her brother for my radio show. I replied and told her I would have a look to see if I could locate the clip, which I did. I wrote telling her I did find it, and that I would be happy to send it along. So I removed the music, etc. and uploaded it so she could download the clip. She also told me that her brother had passed away the day after Christmas 2007, and her niece was trying to locate the recording. I was happy I had the opportunity to speak with her brother over what it was he saw. Below, the interview I had with her brother.

Full Description of event/sighting: April 6, 2007 at approximately 5:40 a.m. PST. Skies are clear, and sun has not risen yet.

While walking to my workplace from the parking lot, I observed a bright white light directly over my workplace. The object appeared to be hovering at an altitude of a few hundred feet or less.

I first thought it might be a helicopter as they do lift equipment in from time to time, but only in daylight with plenty of safety precautions, but there was no sound.

The bright light appeared to be oriented north to south at this time and I was facing due west. Light emanating from the object was shining southward and was spreading out like a floodlight at approximately 135 degrees wide, but it did not appear to penetrate very far.

Light shining northward from object appeared to be "star like".

There appeared to be a box-like shape of light between the north and south extremities of the object. I walked toward my building for about 30 yards while watching the object hover in place and fluctuate in brightness slightly.

I stopped walking and stared due west at the object. At this point the object, shot/rocketed/propelled northward at a very high rate of speed.

By my guess of where the second event occurred, by judging the mountains (pacific coastal) behind it, my best estimate is about 20 miles in one second !

The final action of this event was astounding. When the light traveled, it appeared star-like then flashed out. During the flash there appeared to be an explosion or burst, no flame, but 8 - 10 rectangular objects were propelled further northward. These objects looked like giant ice cubes were luminescent aqua blue color and were in a near perfect circle, like a big smoke ring getting farther apart as it the traveled northward.

The whole process took maybe 3 seconds. Judging by the last fading light and the relation to the mountains behind it the cubes it appeared to over San Mateo or Redwood city.

This is a distance of 20- 25 miles from Sunnyvale. side note. I work for a large defense contractor situated between Onizuka Air Force Base and Moffet Field. anyone traveling north or south on highway 101 that morning could have seen this event! Thanks.

UFO Looked Rectangular No Lights And Silent Seen Over Leduc Alberta

So I saw something this past weekend and I cannot explain it. I came across your website while searching for similar sightings. Here is my account:

Monday March 23, 2015 approximately 12:15 a.m. (Sunday night). I took the dogs out to pee out the front door of our home in Leduc, AB, on the eastern edge of town.

I stood at the corner of our house and attached garage and looked up at the stars, while I waited.

Fairly clear night, the big dipper was perfectly centered in my line of sight between the house and front yard spruce trees. The sky was quite bright, light pollution and possibly slightly overcast.

As I gazed at the stars, something came in to my field of vision. It flew directly over our house from the West. As soon as I picked it up in my peripheral vision, I stared directly at it. It was moving very fast, but not unearthly fast.

It looked to be about 2,000-3,000 feet up. Difficult to say. Its trajectory was such that I could track it from above my house across the sky in front of our spruce trees. It looked rectangular in shape, no lights. Silent, or extremely quite.

Whatever its altitude, I could not hear any sound from it. Could not see wings or any obvious propulsion. It is difficult to come up with an accurate size, if it was indeed in the 2000' range, it looked to be the approximately size of a car. Maybe 15-20' long and 6-8' wide? Two lighter colored, maybe white, strips running the length of the object. One on each side.

Keeping with the approximately dimensions, maybe 1-2 feet wide, running the length of the object on the left and right hand side. Majority color was like a dark brown/rust color.

As it flew away from me towards the east, it seemed to veer slightly north as it, ironically, approached the flight path of one of the Edmonton Int'l airport runways. I lost sight at this point, blinded by the street lights and light pollution of the surrounding area. I could not see any of the shape vertically.

Seemed to be relatively flat, low profile. In total, I had a direct visual for approximately 5 seconds. Can't explain it.

Thought maybe some kind of UAV or drone, but no lights at night flying that close to an international airport and at that low of an altitude? And definitely did not see any kind of wings or propulsion system. I work in aviation and have not seen anything like it. It was a little eerie seeing something in the sky moving that fast and no sound coming from it.

2 Bright Rectangular Orange Objects/Lights Seen Over Port Perry Ontario

Date:  August 23, 2014
Time:  Approx: 8:50 p.m.

On August 23, 2014 my 2 other buddies and I went camping in Port Perry, Ontario 1 hour north of Barrie, Ontario.

It was about 8:50 p.m. when I saw something in the sky. I yelled at my friends to take a look at what I was looking at.

There were 2 bright rectangular orange objects flying extremely close to each other heading southwest. We knew they weren't planes because of the  shape and no flashing lights, also they were moving way to fast.

After they disappeared we started laughing, saying jokingly we just saw UFO, but now reading that other people saw what we saw, I'm not laughing.

Rectangular UFO Chases Witnesses In Their Vehicle And Missing Time In Comox Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date:  August 2006
Time:  Approx: 8:45 p.m.

My friend and I were driving to Comox to see my new place and help me take my boat there. We took the old Comox main logging road at the end of Inland Hwy. from Campbell River shell.

We went, saw (maybe 1/2 hour) and came straight back at around 8:45 p.m. on the same road. It takes roughly 45 minuets. On the way back, however, about 1/2 hour back home, an enormous light lit up the entire forest like a bright summer day.

Then a flashing flying object appeared over the tree-line and started moving toward us. The object appeared to be rectangular. Flashing was very bright and very fast. (Two white lights on each end, two red or deep orange just inside of those.)

The object made no sound whatsoever and moved with propulsion obviously not characteristic of a plane (except a Harrier (lol) or helicopter.

I asked my friend "are you seeing this, too?" He was already staring out the back window of the small pickup, not saying much, except "yes".

The object continued toward us until approximately 10-15m. away. I panicked and told my friend, "hold on!" and tried to drive away at speeds up to 120kph. - failing to gain even a single inch. No matter if cornering or straight.

It maintained a position of seemingly exactly the same distance and orientation from us, no matter how fast or slow I drove.

Then neither I nor my friend remember what happened after it was tracking us. We don't remember it leaving or what we decided to do next, or driving home.

When we got home, our significant others and family were upset with us for arriving home at 12:30 a.m.!

The next day, I realized that my $1,300 Seiko kinetic auto-relay, guaranteed not to lose more than a second in 120 years was roughly 2.5 hours behind!

It had never lost a second before, and never has since. Anyways, always been kind of too freaked out to talk about it. This is the first I've shared.

Triangular Or Rectangular UFO Spotted Flying Low Over Witnesses Home At Orange Park Florida

 

Date:  December 28, 2008

Time:  Evening.

 

I saw a UFO last night (12/28/08) around Orange Park, Florida. I have never seen one, but knew this was not a normal craft.

It was either triangular or rectangular in shape, and has it’s lights completely shut off. I could see where lights were, but they were not on.

 

Two rows of three round light maybe.

 

Did not make a noise and was traveling pretty low. It went right over my house and then disappeared. All of a sudden I could not see it anymore. It was weird.

Thin Rectangular Shaped Bright Green Light Witnessed Over Brentford West London England UK

 

Date:  March 8, 2012

Time:  Approx: 11:15 p.m.

 

Excellent Brian, much like the Brentford article. I'm located a few minutes away. I was leaning against the car and as I tilted my head back I noticed a bright green light. Very thin rectangle shaped. Was visible from behind the clouds. Just about.

 

It was perfectly still, now I stood and watched for about a good 10 minutes, before the light went off and it seemed to have this pulsating affect. Where it faded out from the sides.

 

Then went smaller and just instantly vanished. Still being shocked, I stood around staring into the clouds, seconds later it popped up again. This time the patch of sky it popped up in which was about a half mile or so away in the sky (guessing) had very little cloud.

 

The light was picture perfect bright green thin rectangle. I'd even go as far to say I could almost notice a large shadow like frame behind it. Maybe light clouds or something, that I cant be sure of.

Was shocked, ran home and called out my friend who was awaiting my arrival. Also requested my sister bring out a camera. My friend noticed the same light and shape too, however by the time the camera came the light was gone, then the clouds covered the skies.

It is I believe the exact same light the man in Brentford saw. I refuse to believe it was an astronomical laser, as I've had a few of those and you would see the trail going through the cloud.

 

This light was sitting behind the clouds and as the clouds got darker the light shaded away more and more.

Some said electrical storm. No hope with some people. I'm hoping you can shed some light on the matter, as it might be worth mentioning it was a full moon ?

Large Black Rectangular UFO Spotted Over Phoenix Arizona

 

Date:  2006

Time:  Daytime.

 

I saw the same big black rectangular UFO in Phoenix Arizona in 2006. I was in a Wal-Mart parking lot and it was a partly cloudy day.

 

I saw it moving up at an angle contrary to the direction the clouds were moving. I watched it until it disappeared.  

 

I was in shock and I approached others in the parking lot and asked them if they also saw it.

 

Apparently no one else was looking up at the time.

 

It is a pity that I didn't have a good digital camera.

Large Green Glowing Rectangular Light Observed Over Amsterdam New York

 

Date:  March 5, 2012

Time:  Approx: 8:00 p.m.

 

Around 2000hrs on March 5, 2012, I noticed a large green rectangular light in the southern sky in my vehicle in Amsterdam, New York. It proceeded horizontal to the southern horizon, when it suddenly plummeted at a great rate of speed vertically and out of sight.

 

The entire viewing took approximately 10-15 seconds, and the green glow resembled a glow stick, or a street sign turned sideways, nothing flashing and no tail.

 

In a state of shock of what I saw, I checked my car windshield for reflection, none. I looked in my mirror for reflection of traffic light, nothing. I looked ahead for power line reflection, nothing, unobstructed view.

 

Being in the Air Force for over 20 years, and in all of my experience, I have never seen anything like this. I initially thought it was the lights from an airplane or jet or helicopter, however it wasn't, so I drove to the area where it appeared to have descended with the worst in mind that a crash of some sort had occurred, as this proved not to be the case.

 

Today, I verified that two other persons had seen the same light, but were reluctant to say anything. They did not corroborate their story with me when I asked about what time it was witnessed which in fact was about the same time I saw this happen

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was standing in my front yard and my wife was on the porch. I noticed something above the tree line over my neighbors house across the street.

 

I called my wife down to look and we noticed what looked like a rectangular box with lights in front and back, almost to say, like a car floating in the sky. We didn't hear any noise coming from it and it moved pretty slow.

 

It crossed over the street and disappeared. It was gone as quick as we saw it. If I hadn't been watching the sky, I would of never seen it.

Football Field Sized Rectangular UFO Seen Over Charlotte North Carolina

 

Date:  September 2004

Time:  5:00 p.m.

 

I witnessed a rectangle shaped UFO in Charlotte, NC September 2004 in 5:00 p.m. rush hour traffic. I was the only one who reported it, and I know others saw it as well. It was about the size of a football field about 100 yards away floating silently.

 

It was encased with army green reflective glass and you could see the panel casing.

 

No lights, no sound. I admit when I first saw it, I thought it must be a plane pulling a banner, but I quickly realized that wasn't the case.

Flat Black Rectangular Box Seen Over Wal-Mart Parking Lot Phoenix Arizona

 

Date:  August 24, 2005

Time:  5:00 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was at a Wal-Mart and I was going to my car. The sky was partly cloudy. I happened to look up and I saw a rectangular box that was as large as an airliner.

 

It was flat black. It moved contrary to the direction that the clouds were moving. It moved upwards at an angle. I had no camera and all I could do is watch it as it rose and eventually disappeared. I am an Engineer and an aircraft buff so I know it wasn't any aircraft from earth.

 

Additional Information:

 

Hi, It took place in Phoenix Arizona. I was at a Wal-Mart on 51st and Indian School road.

On a personal note, I would like to say that I am a trained Engineer and have worked in the Aerospace industry for 15 years. This was not any aircraft from earth.

Gold Colored Rectangular Upright Cylindrical Spinning UFO Over Fulton New York

Time: Just after 9:30 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Just after 9:30pm I was going to pick up my girlfriend from work. I traveled Route 3 Fulton, New York going east to the super Wal-Mart in Grandby, New York. I spotted to the northeast roughly 1000 to 1500 feet in the sky an upright cylindrical spinning object.

The object was very bright with a gold glow. At first I thought it may have been the north star, however the shape and appearance of the object made this unnatural to me.

As I tried to also watch the road and the object at the same time, I drove by a cluster of tall trees and still through the cover saw the light, however as I cleared the trees the object was gone.

Today on 9-12-2011 my girlfriends nephew stopped by and asked if we saw the UFO's ? I said I think I may have seen one. He replied I saw seven that night at once in the town of Volney New York in the north eastern sky.

We were in two different towns when this happened and about the same time, cool hey? I can’t explain this, but an investigation may me worth it. I know what I saw indeed and it wasn't anything I have ever seen before like a plane helicopter etc. Please help, my girlfriends nephew even posted on Facebook on what he saw also.

Dark Colored Rectangular UFO Over The Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Ontario Canada

Full Description of event/sighting: I am hesitant to make a report like this but the object I observed over the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station on the 25th of June, 2007 was very similar to that reported over the station by other people so it made me realize that I wasn't the only one who thought that this object was a bit odd. I would appreciate that my name not be used (even my first name) as my credibility may come into question if this information became public knowledge.

I presently work at the Pickering Nuclear Generating station near Toronto and I witnessed the object described over the station by others on the Filer’s Files # 26 - 2007 report.

I start my shift at 7:00am, but usually arrive at around 6:00am as I have breakfast in the cafeteria before going to work. My first sighting of the object happened on the morning of the 25th of June, 2007. I had just cleared security and was leaving the security building to enter the administration building when I glanced up to see an object that seemed rectangular in shape. The object was fixed in a horizontal position hanging over the back of the turbine auxiliary bay on the A side of the building.

What caught my attention was that it was something I had never noticed from that location before and because it was so perfectly stationary I stopped walking to take a better look. At first I was thinking that it may have been part of the superstructure on the top of the building as it was so immobile. After thinking about it for a few moments I concluded that it must be part of the building and it was connected by a guide wire or something. I dismissed the original sighting as being irrelevant and went inside and quickly forgot about it.

Around 9:00am I had to attend to a job I was involved with out in the screen house building located behind the plant. (South of the main building toward Lake Ontario). After walking from the screen house going west I looked up and saw the same object again and this time it was a bit higher and now located about 200 feet, above and slightly west of the vacuum building structure. (The top of the vacuum building is about 200 feet and this was about 200 to 300 feet above it). I watched it for about 5 minutes and it did not move. When I say this I really mean it. It was absolutely stationary and that is the reason I stood there watching it. In my mind no objects in flight are so stationary and that is the reason it caught my attention.

After watching it for a bit I saw a friend of mine and I pointed it out to him. His analysis was that it maybe a kite being flown from Frenchman's Bay, located to the west of the plant. I was somewhat inclined to agree with him and went back into the plant to continue my work.

Later on in the morning I had the opportunity to walk out to the back of the plant again and I looked up to where it was and it was gone. I searched the sky and to my amazement I saw it again. It had changed locations. This time it was situated over the cooling water inflow behind the vacuum building structure at about even with its height (around 200 feet).

I watched it for a couple of minutes but again dismissed it as being man made as I figured it had to be.

Later on in the afternoon around 02:00pm I walked back out again to see it in the same place behind the vacuum building structure. It had not moved. I again used some excuse to write it off as being explainable as I had no other evidence to suggest otherwise outside of its very stationary position in the air that did not seem natural in my mind.

When I looked for it the next day there was nothing to be seen. The object was no longer there.

I have been looking since, but have not seen anything unusual. I will keep looking as it has intrigued me and I really want to know what that object was.

It reminded me of some sort of surveillance drone as it seemed to be observing plant activities. In retrospect I should have informed security but I was thinking they wouldn't even follow it up. The reason I say this is that during the day I told a number of people about the object and they responded in such an apathetic manner that I was dissuaded to tell anyone else.

The object was dark and rectangular and may have been the size of a 45 gallon drum. It was positioned horizontally not vertically. I did not have any magnifying device so it was not very discernable.

I don't make any claims that this was not a man made object, but its behavior was quite peculiar.

Two Rectangular Grey/Silver Shaped UFOs Over The Dominican Republic (Graphic)

Date: Between the 8th and 11th January 2011

Time: Evening.

Hi, I’m from Germany so sorry for my English.
Thanks for this report from a sighting on the 1st January 2011, before I thought I was wrong and I had an illusion.

I saw also two rectangular grey/silver shaped objects flying side by side maintaining a gap between them, equal to their own length, in my holidays in the Dominican Republic.

I don’t know anymore the exact date of my sighting, but it must be between the 8th and 11th of January in the night. I stayed near Las Terrenas, Samana and the two objects came from the south and they flew fast, but both with the same steady speed, with no noise in a northerly direction.

A short moment before there was a plane flying from north to a southerly direction with position lights. The plane was in a high in altitude and was against the two objects, only a small point in the sky. Maybe the pilots saw the same, I don’t know.

I couldn’t believe that there wasn't clouds in the sky. I don’t know what it could be. That’s all I could say.

Two Whitish Cigar/Rectangular Shaped Objects Over Kincardine Ontario Canada

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Observed while stargazing in the hot tub, in windy and partially cloudy conditions. There were two whitish cigar/rectangular shaped objects flying lockstep in tandem, side by side maintaining a gap between them equal to their own length.

Concealed at first by clouds, seeming to emerge below them perhaps descending to a lower altitude, the pair carried on their southern bearing out of view at a steady rate of speed. At first mistaken as shooting stars, then thought to be seagulls which typically wouldn't be flying in small numbers at this time of night, no other seagulls were seen in the area. They looked to be following the western shore of Lake Huron, 1.5 km west of my residence.

Rectangular Object Seen Over Forest Grove Saskatoon Saskatchewan

Full Description of Event/Sighting: There was a plane also flying up from the south with a long tail of contrail behind it. There was a shape like a line, but a small one just a tick, long enough to look linear and not circular or orb like a star or something.

This was more a rectangular I guess. Sun had not fully risen, so at first I thought it was just a star. After watching it for a while I decided it was odd and probably some type of UFO.

Rectangular Almost Cigar Shaped UFO Over Kenora Ontario

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was looking at the stars after getting home from work, when I heard a dull, slow, repetitive swishing/whipping sound. At first I thought it may be a flock of birds flying low over head so I continued looking up, but the sounds continued getting more noticeably louder and quicker.

I was listening and looking directly overhead my house, to where it seemed as though the sound was coming from. As I looked up I noticed a rectangular, almost cigar shaped craft soaring north to south, at a decent paced speed, approximately 500-1000 feet above the ground.

It had no lights on it what so ever, I was able to pick it up easily in the clear black sky, because it had an almost smoky, white shade of color to it. Maybe a reflection of the street lights on the ground. I saw the object for about 6-8 seconds as it soared directly over my house and off over the trees. The dull swishing/whipping sound that accompanied the object was only heard for a 15 seconds. Probably the most frightening moment of my life.

Box Or Rectangular Shaped UFO 30 Miles NW Of San Antonio Texas

Time: Daytime sighting.

Hello, I am writing to say that I, too, saw a box shaped, or rectangular shaped UFO myself. I, too, Googled that term and read the story of the rectangular UFO on Sightings.com, and am responding to the Brian Vike request for reports of rectangular UFOs. I live out in the country about 30 miles NW of San Antonio, Texas.

Last year, in absolutely clear, cloudless weather, on a warm day I saw something which I could not identify.

I was outside in my front yard and saw, in the sky at about a 45 degree angle up from the ground, an object which had the proportions of a dollar bill. That is, two or more times wider than it was tall, with square corners. It was the color of coin silver, or a slightly yellowish, dull silver-gray color. I saw it only in this shape, like a flat, two-dimensional object. If it had depth, or 3 dimensions, I did not see that, as I saw it only on that one side.

The object was without features except for an oval, or ellipse, centered both horizontally and vertically, which took up a bout maybe 15% of the area on that side. All color was the same grayish silver.

It seemed to me to be rather close, maybe a few hundred feet or closer, but I just cannot judge the distance at all, as there was no reference for me to use in determining distance or size.

I was nervous at seeing it, and, since I was alone at home at the time, I just went inside, after about a minute, rather than watch it. I was afraid that if it saw me, it might "get" me. I experienced no missing time as a result, so I escaped!! Sort of silly, I know, but it was a strange thing to see.

The only other thing I noticed that morning that got my attention is that there seemed to be several jets that flew around in the area, criss-crossing the sky at different times. Not all at once, but across three hours or so. I note this because out in the country where I am, we see only jets on approach to the San Antonio International Airport and occasionally a propeller driven plane going somewhere else. Military jets zoom by at a few thousand feet, but do not criss-cross the sky. They fly always in a westerly to easterly path.

So, that is my odd little story. This is the only UFO that I have ever seen.
