Notice To The Vike Factor Visitors (From Brian Vike)

 

I am going to be out of town for well over a week, so there won’t be any new posting of sighting reports until I come back home.

There will be people here at home, it is just myself who will be away.

Thank you, and please keep sending in the sighting reports as I will reply when I arrive back home.

I should add, if you have had a Meteor/Fireball sighting, please file a detailed report on this as well. This information is helping me and many others as well.

I would like to extend my many thanks to everyone who has filed a sighting report to me here in the month of January. It has been the busiest month ever for myself.

There have been 445 sightings that have been posted to the Vike Factor in January alone. This is a new record. :)

Also, I did a rough count for the reports I have not posted as of yet, and there is approximately another 90 reports that have not been posted, that I will get to when I arrive back home.

I would like to also thank the two fellows who have been posting most of the material to the blog, couldn’t do any of this without them.

15 To 20 Pulsating White/Orange/Red Lights Over St. Petersburg Russia

Time:  12:40 a.m. (Moscow time)

Shape of Objects: Bulbs.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Objects apparently flying in formation. I first thought it was balloons (and maybe it was). But the light was white/orange/red and pulsating. No sound.

 

Made a photo, but it’s not visible (from an I-Phone).

Glowing Fireball/Lights Over Halifax Nova Scotia

V Or Triangular Shaped UFO Flying Over Santa Cruz California

 

Date:  2008

Time:  9:28 p.m.

 

I live in Santa Cruz CA. and have a new hobby watching and tracking satellites and I just saw a large V shape craft flying overhead for the third time within a month. Tonight at 9:28 p.m. PST, I saw it again, straight above me, gliding from south to north.

 

No lights at all, large V or triangle shape, lighter colored than the night sky.

The other times it flew from east to west, then next was southeast to northwest. It seemed to fly fairly slow, slower than satellites or airplanes, and no lights at all every time.

 

The only reason I can see it is because it is lighter than the night sky. Any input. CT Santa Cruz, California.

Brilliant White Fireball With Flaming Tail Spotted Over Livermore California

Very extra large fireball, brilliant bright white in color with flaming tail seen over Livermore California northwest this morning by myself on a walk at 5:15 AM. Seemed very close to earth and then vanished.

Two UFOs Hovering About 3 Meters Off The Ground At Barton Stacey Hampshire England UK

Time:  6:15 p.m.

Shape of Objects: Two hovering vehicles.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Two hovering craft in a farmers field, one with two central white lights and two central red lights situated opposite the All Saints Barton Stacey Church in this field.

 

I was walking up the hill to my house and these two crafts were hovering about 30 meters away from me and hovering about 3 meters off the ground.

 

It looked like they were communicating with each other. These crafts then accelerated away from me to opposite sides of this very long field in an instant and then changed direction again, in what appeared to be observing the parameters of this field by moving quickly across the field faster than any conventional known craft!

2 Bright Spherical Orange Lights Over Sri Lanka Mount Lavinia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi, at 10:30 p.m. today, 28th January 2012. I noticed 2 bright orange lights spherical in shape slightly blinking flying across the southwestern skyline.

 

I quickly called my fiancé out to the balcony and as she came, 2 more came from the same direction and flew along the direction of the earlier 2 and disappeared with the other 2.

 

We called my brother-in-law and my mother-in-law as well. These 4 were joined by three others. Going along the same line and disappearing. This event would have lasted about 5 minutes.

 

There was no noise coming from them. They all blinked slightly and disappeared as if they were going up into space. It was bizarre and we are still trying to figure out what it was.

Hovering Orange Lights Observed From Eastbound On 595 South Florida

Time:  Approx: 7:30 p.m.

 

Hello there, our family was heading eastbound on 595 last night around 7:30 p.m. and we too saw the strange lights hovering on the north side of the highway. I think many people were wondering what they were because traffic was slowing down on our lane.

 

You are correct. The lights were not blinking and the objects were stationary. We were in awe at what we were looking at. If you have any news as to what it might have been, please let us know! Thanks.

Meteor Explodes Over New Jersey United States

Time:  10:00 p.m.

 

We also sighted the same thing here in New Jersey. 10:00 p.m. 8/3/08 driving south on the New Jersey Turnpike.

 

We watched as it streaked across the sky and it seemed to blow up and disappear behind a cloud with a bright flash. It was really awesome to see.

Green Object Seen Flying Over Long Island New York (Meteor)

Hi, we saw one object from Long Island, New York passing from east to west over Manhattan Sunday evening. It had was a clear green light that seemed to break up into smaller pieces after about 2/3 of the observed path. 

 

It reminded me of fireworks and took about 4 seconds to cross the observed distance. Is there any additional information available? Greetings.

Orange Lights Spotted Over Dwesa In The Eastern Cape South Africa

Hi there, this is really strange. I was on holiday at Dwesa in the Eastern Cape, watching the stars when my friend and I saw strange lights in sky on the night of the 1st or rather early in the morning of the 2nd. 

 

Was only taking a chance to see if anyone else had seen it as well, so I Googled it. Was really surprised to find other people had seen it as well. Regards.

Bright Orange Object Lights Up The Clouds Over Brisbane (QLD) Australia

 

Date:  January 28, 2012

Time:  10:00 p.m. - 10:02 p.m

 

My wife and I just saw an orange light (silently) fly in a due east to west direction over our house on the south side of Brisbane (QLD), Australia. It was on steady course, no noise, faster than a chopper, but slower than a plane. Altitude would only be 1000 feet at most.

 

Size would be (from our point of view) about the size of a search light. Sighting occurred at 10:00 p.m. - 10:02 p.m. 28th January 2012.

It lit up the clouds above it (it's currently raining here) but it never shifted course and remained below the clouds for the full 2 minutes we saw it.

Triangular Shaped UFO With Three Prongs Seen Over University Place Washington

 

Date:  January 21, 2012

Time:  9:10 p.m.

 

Number of witnesses: 1

Number of Objects: 8

Shape of Objects: Triangle with 3 prongs at bottom.

 

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Lights came out of the SW heading N over the Puget Sound. Two at a time spaced evenly each time. The shape was triangular with 3 distinct prongs at the bottom.

 

Very red in color, almost as if surrounded by fire or an incredibly bright red light.

 

Appeared as if they were taking off from somewhere because of the arch pattern they were flying. Would make the arch, then go straight up and out of sight. Always in the same spot. Except 2 of them.

 

They hovered a few seconds at the place where the others seemed to depart, then at what appeared to be an adjusted speed headed over towards the Narrows Bridge.

 

At times it looked as if they were hovering in place over the bridge or Gig Harbor. Never have I seen anything like this before. The sight and wonder of it all was riveting!

Bright Flash From Meteor Seen In The Sky Over Virginia United States

About 10:00 p.m. on 8/3/08 "meteorite" also sighted in Virginia as I was driving North on I95. The item traveled from east to west and seemed to "blow out" in a bright light flash across the sky shortly thereafter. I'm searching for more information.

Large Bright Meteor Witnessed From North Of Trenton New Jersey

 

Date:  August 3, 2008

Time:  Late evening.

 

Late in the evening August 3rd witnessed large meteor in the southern sky approximately bearing W-NW, observed from farmland north of Trenton, NJ.

 

Was bright and clearly visible for 10-15 seconds until line of sight blocked by trees.
