Date: July 18, 2011
Time: Late evening.My sister and I saw something very similar on the night of July 18th, 2011. It was much later in the evening though. What we saw was 4 - 5 bright lights appearing one after the other. When a light went out, it illuminated the property with an intense blue light lasting about 35 seconds before fading.
Then the next would appear and go out, producing the same intense blue haze over the property. After the bright lights all faded, a bright blue orb appeared and when it disappeared, we heard a rumbling, muffled exploding sound. These light appeared over the neighbors house to the east just above a huge tree on his property.
We could not explain what we had seen, and I thought possibly a transformer had blown in the neighborhood. We got in the car and I drove around trying to find the source of this sighting, not really believing it was from a transformer.
All lights were on in the surrounding area and the transformer was fine. The area I'm in has horse properties with 2 acre parcels. I still can't believe what we saw.
