Glowing Ball Of Orange Light Over Livingston West Lothian UK

Date: May 22, 2010
Time: Between 10:30 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Hi there, I just wanted to add another sighting on to your website notifications. I was sitting in south side of Livingston, West Lothian outside between 10:30pm and 11:00pm last night, Saturday 22nd May.

It was a still night, clear sky, then out of nowhere, this orange glow appeared. We watched it moving in a steady and controlled manner. No noise, no vapour trails. No drop of pace, not much change in direction. Hard to say what size it was. It came in from a northeasterly direction travelling southwest. We all watched it for about 5 minutes until it finally disappeared to such a small size and then vanished.

We didn't think it was an aeroplane, or a meteorite and could not come up with a rational explanation of what it was? What are all these glowing balls of orange lights in our skies? Is anyone going to come up with a rational explanation for us?

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
