Time: Approximately 9:30 p.m.
I saw the same thing in south Edmonton. I was driving home when I saw it shoot across the sky.
I thought at first my mind was playing tricks on me until I saw this post.
I went home and told my family the told me to see if anyone else had seen it. Glad I am not just seeing stuff. I was really tired it had need a 16 hour day.
It was January 6, 2015. in the evening, I want to say around 9:30 p.m.

I was in West Edmonton at the time this occured. By my clock it was 912pm MDT. Bright fireball just North of West, about 30 degrees in the sky above the horizon. Lasted a few seconds.
