Green Flare Like Light Cascading From The Sky Seen From Alameda California

Date:  December 29, 2014
Time:  Approximately 10:50.p.m.

Hi Brian, I was in my backyard in Alameda, California looking northbound last night (12/29/2014) around 10:50 p.m. when I saw in the sky of what seems to be over Oakland, CA which was a green flare-like light cascading from the sky.

It seemed too bright to be a flare (due to its distance) but it’s the best way I can describe it.

It fell too fast for it to be a flare also.

I decided to look online to see if anyone else had spotted this and found your site below:
