Ex Airline Pilot With Numerous Eyewitnesses Observe Domed Disk UFO On The Road To Sao Paulo Brazil (Written Report/Audio Interview)

From Brian Vike's UFO Files.

Date of Sighting: May 6, 1994
Time of Sighting: 0330 (3:30 a.m.)- 0415 (4:15 a.m.) Local Time.

Location of Sighting: near Guarantingueta, (20 KM)
Closest town: Cachoeira Paulista (5 KM) State of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Domed disk.

Full Description of event/sighting: Background: I am an airline pilot (now retired) and I am also a qualified meteorologist and air traffic controller. I consider myself an excellent aircraft observer.

A group of us were returning from flight simulator training in Rio de Janeiro on the road to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

We departed Rio late at night and drove along the main highway and at about 3:15 a.m.. I was sleeping in the rear of the car which was traveling at high speed.

The car was being driven by a local chauffeur and inside it was me, a senior airline captain at the time, an older flight engineer from the U.S. and my girlfriend who was a flight attendant and a pilot also.

I was awakened by my girlfriend who pointed out a light in the sky which had been following us for a while, according to her. It was a bright red light in the sky and my first impression was that it was a radio antenna obstacle light high on a mountain.

However we were traveling fast on a flat area and there were no mountains around and the light was keeping up with us. (Initially the light was at our 7 o'clock position on the left side of the car and then advanced to a 9 o'clock position)

The light was moving erratically in a side ways and up and down motion, but keeping its relative position to us, impossible for a stationary object.

I thought of a helicopter flying out there, but there were no position lights or strobe visible and the light was moving in a very odd way for a helicopter. I am a helicopter pilot as well.

The lights started to change from red to yellow to white, green and even blue. The lights were of changing intensity and reminded me of a dance room rotating light sphere or "disco ball."

This continued for at least five more minutes and we slowed down from 80-90 miles per hour to 40 and the light kept its relative position to us.

Traffic on the highway was light, but we reached a point where there was a bus, two or three trucks and several cars parked on the side of the road and people were outside of their vehicles watching the object in the sky.

It was a clear, but dark night with no moon, there was a cloud cover, but it was high probably over 10,000 feet and apparently the object was initially flying at 3-4000 feet and a mile away from us.

I asked the driver to pull to the side of the road and I came out of the car, followed by my girlfriend. The object was now descending and at a much lower altitude and closer.

After a few minutes it was real low and hovering to the south side of the highway. The top lights were dimmed and the object was hovering but moving closer to our position.

I could not hear any sound and the lights were now dimmed but still changing colors and I could see the shape of the object and it was the familiar "flying saucer" dome shaped object.

I walked two hundred feet on the side of the road towards the object which was hovering low, no sound came from it and the night was absolutely still except for an occasional vehicle passing down the road. There were several vehicles stopped on the side of the road further down and I walked back to the car quickly to get a camera.

We had an excellent professional Nikon camera with us. I opened the trunk to get the camera but we had taken many pictures in Rio and we had no film left.

My girlfriend joined me and we walked back towards the object which was floating three or four hundred feet away from us, dimly lit now and probably at less than two hundred feet above the ground.

She stood back frightened by the sight but I was not afraid and walked quite close to the object maybe within two hundred feet. I actually crossed the dangerous highway to get a closer look.

I walked into some grassy area until I was stopped by a barbed wire fence. At this point, my closest approach to the object I was probably two hundred feet away.

There were a few dim lights on the edge of the object which pulsed slowly every few seconds, the lights looked square and they grew bigger when the brightness increased and smaller when they dimmed.

The object was not illuminated but the bottom emitted some kind of bluish vapor and when I got the closest to the object I felt like a soft breeze was blowing into my short hair, though it was not windy at the time.

It felt like an electrical charge was coming out of the object which moved slowly with a rocking motion not unlike that of a boat going through small waves.

My girlfriend had walked back to the car and was standing behind the car. Even though the object was not lit other than the small lights pulsating on the edge, I could see its outline and it's top clearly. In the darkness the color looked like a reddish gray.

The object was quite large and I estimated it to be at least 70 feet in diameter and about 30 feet high. It was just hovering in the air at about 120-150 feet high.

Some of the other spectators, probably a truck driver, shone a powerful spot light on the object and there were a couple of flashes of light, maybe someone using a camera flash. The second group of people was quite distant probably over 800 feet.

Shortly after the spot light illuminated the object, which looked metallic gray, not unlike the color of an aircraft, when illuminate the object started to move more noticeably and the slight rocking motion built up to become a swinging movement which reminded me the movement of an aircraft coming in for landing on a crosswind.

There was a change of position and the object was not totally upright but rather listing about 20-30 degrees to one side.

Suddenly, there was a few flashes of multicolor lights from the top of the object and a faint bluish-greenish glow showed from the bottom part and the object started to float away quietly towards the south gaining altitude slowly at first and then increasingly fast. When the object started to move I felt some vibration and heard a faint, low pitch humming sound.

After another multicolor light display the object climbed straight up very fast and still silently. It changed direction several times in a series of sharp, right angle turns and then disappeared.

While I was close to the object there was a faint smell of ionization, not unlike that smell present in high power radio station transmitting rooms, when they used vacuum tubes and there was also a taste of metal in my mouth.

The cars and trucks started leaving after the object flew away and we climbed in the car and drove on until we reached a truck stop restaurant further down the road were several other witnesses who had stopped for coffee. Our driver, who had stayed inside the car, told me that there was a lot of static in the car's radio while the object was nearby.

Some people at the restaurant told us that sightings are common in that area. I also remembered that in 1972 I was flying near the same area one night and an airliner ahead of my airplane reported a UFO.

I did not see the object myself, but listened to the radio conversation between the airliner, the air traffic controllers and other airplanes on the area. There was a U.S. military aircraft in the area that night in 1972 and after landing I talked to the crew which had seen the object.

The subject never came up again after that night. In 30 years of flying and being a control tower operator for some time, I heard many UFO stories but had never actually seen one until that night in Brazil in 1994.

Upon my return to the U.S. some weeks later, I filed Reports of this sighting to every possible government agency but never received any reply.

The next day after arriving in the city of Sao Paulo I was at the airport and after identifying myself as a visiting airline pilot I reported the sighting to the Brazilian aviation authorities who listened to the report and took some notes. I made a couple of sketches of what the object looked like and its apparent path of flight in the area of the sighting.

The size of this audio clip is 66.5 mbs and the interview is 48 minutes in length.

Airline Pilot Observe Cylindrical Shaped Chrome In Color UFO Hovering Over Tel Aviv Israel

Date:  1997
Time:  Daylight sighting.

I was flying an airliner into Tel Aviv in 1997 when around 18,000 feet on a clear sunny day I saw a chrome ball hovering. I put on the weather radar to look for returns thinking it was a weather balloon, but no returns showed up.

As I turned through 50 degrees still descending I noticed the shape was cylindrical and chrome in colour, the ball I saw was in fact the cylinder end up.

Within a minute 6 aircraft showed up on my TCAS instrument which in fact were military fighter aircraft. These planes took it in turns to fly erratically around the blimp.

Initially I concurred that this must be some kind of military practice target, but on making enquiries amongst my military colleagues this is not a known maneuver.

I remain in two minds. Regards.

Test Pilot Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards Tells His Son Of His UFO Encounter

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Posted by Mel.

Date: April 1955 Time: Midday.

Location of Sighting: Edwards AFB Turbine Testing Group. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Cigar, orange, glowing and stationary at 6K'.

Brian Vike’s Note: Permission was granted to leave the serviceman's name in this report. Also 3 prior test pilots lost their lives to other UFO encounters which you will read below. Also I should point out that this story has never been told before. Also I will not be releasing the other documents I have received due to the personal information they contain in them.

Obituary for Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards was run in The Dallas Morning News. I have added the text version of the obituary and also have the actual obituary which I have scanned and added as an image.

EDWARDS: LT. COL ROY JACK EDWARDS, RET., born July 4, 1922 in Oklahoma City, OK. Jack enlisted in the USMC in 1941. He was a 1947 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, where he was a classmate of former President Jimmy Carter. He served his country in World War II, Korean and Vietnam Wars and was a commissioned officer from 1946 to 1970. The special assignments included; Senior instructor, Modern Naval Weapons Systems, U.S. Navy Academy; Weapons Development Officer, Air Launched Unguided Weapons, Pentagon; Commanding Officer Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 265 Vietnam.

He retired June 30, 1970. Jack is survived by his wife, Julia Herrmann Edwards; sister Cleo Christofferson; sons Frank, Bradford B, Mark C and Drew H Edwards and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by Ruth C. Edwards. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Friday, November 28, 2003 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. Military Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 a.m., Saturday, November 29, 2003 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas.

9. - Air Medal w/5*

10. - Navy Commendation w/combat "v"

11. - RVN Cross of Gallantry w/palm

United States President Jimmy Carter's letter.

Brian Vike’s Note: Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's son told me he fought tooth and nail one would say to have his father buried with military honors. He contacted so many ranking officers and politicians throughout the military/government in hopes of having his wishes carried out, which over time they finally were granted and his Dad was put to rest with military honors.

One had to wonder why this wasn't carried out straight away, with no hassles for the family who fought to have these rights in place for their Father who served with courage and honor on and off the battlefield. Was it due to a UFO experience which almost ruined Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards career.

In the military records I have here for Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards, it states in bold capital letters that Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards served his country "Honorable" But what there is no mention of in these military records is an amazing UFO encounter Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards had back in 1955 while holding a position of a test pilot at Edwards AFB. I also will add, Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards almost lost his life during his encounter with the UFO, loss of vision, everything went fuzzy, so his body reacted to whatever the Unidentified Flying Object was giving off and also losing control of the jet aircraft for a while as it suddenly had mechanical problems, again due to the UFO he came face to face while in flight.

Now here is what I and Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's son find really unusual and or the cover up starts, the powers to be whom ever these people are, having Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards stationed in Gifu, Japan at the time of his UFO encounter. This is listed on Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's military records, according to his son who I spoke at length with on Friday 25, 2008 by way of telephone, Jack Edward's son says his Father was not stationed at Gifu, Japan, but rather at the Edwards AFB where he was test flying the Super Sabre jet fighters at the time of the UFO incident. His son can remember this so clearly, plus as his son mentioned, we would have known if we were in Japan. (different country) They weren't ! So this appears to be a complete cover-up by the military to hide any possible leakage of Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edward's UFO sighting.

The report on Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards UFO Experience.

Full Description of event/sighting: Subject: My father, a Super Sabre test pilot at Edwards AFB chased an Orange Cigar shaped UFO.

In 1955 my deceased (3 years ago) father Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards USMC (Ret. USNA Class of '47 - same as Pres. Jimmy Carter) revealed an experience he had as a young test pilot to me just 2 years before he died. He claimed the reason he never shared his UFO chase encounter was the deep fear the military had threatened him, during debriefing upon returning to base, for disobeying direct orders he would lose all his military benefits along with a less than honorable discharge.

Let me explain the whole set of circumstances involving his chasing the stationary "Orange Cigar" shaped UFO at an altitude of approx. 6K'. He was stationed at Edwards AFB for a 2 year stint to conduct final testing of the new version Super Sabre fighters and other experimentals. At this time I was only 6 years old.

During a test flight in clear sky conditions when my father initially contacted ground control he sighted a definite large UFO. He was firmly "ordered" to "break away immediately and return to base" with his chase (observation) plane. His observation plane complied. However, my fearless USMC trained mindset father told me that his raw intrepid instincts kicked in, thus, ignored ground control because he knew he probably wouldn't ever get another opportunity to confront a UFO and pursued.

So, he made a linear flight towards this stationary positioned cigar shaped orange glowing object and described w/o any surface area indicative as having any source of propulsion which he estimated to be about 2 football fields in length and slightly more than 50 yards in circumference. As he reached a range of about 3-4 miles from the UFO it emitted a single burst of blue light rendering my father to instantly lose his ability to see and disabled his plane's communications equipment. Striped of his sense of vision and communication to ground control he was in a very precarious position to say the least. But he managed to bank his craft to a soft right direction and kept his altitude from dropping by keeping his stick from going forward. He said he considered bailing out but wanted to ride out some time (knowing he had enough fuel) in hope the shock of what ever incurred to him and his plane would be temporary.

To his recall, his sight returned in slow blurry stages until he regained full sight acuity in a time frame of about 10-15 minutes. Now capable to see his instruments, horizon and most important recognizing familiar terrain landmarks he tracked his return to Edwards' airfield still w/o communications. Although my dad was relieved to have survived this unique dangerous experience during his stern debriefing by his CO for disobeying direct orders, he learned 2 unpleasant things. The reason he was ordered to return to base ASAP, he was informed by his CO that the same UFO had caused the deaths of 3 prior test pilots. Back in those days the subject of UFO sightings or encounters were a silent taboo especially among test pilots for fear of losing their hard earned test pilot flight status. If my father had known of this critical information prior to his UFO encounter, he claimed he wouldn't have pursued the UFO and would've obeyed ground control orders.

As a reprimand for disobeying direct orders he permanently lost his status as a test pilot and reassigned to a USNA weapons department teaching position at Annapolis, Md. Additionally, he wasn't allowed to ever fly turbines (jets) in the future. Eventually, after a few years at the pentagon in Wash. D.C. he petitioned and was permitted to fly choppers (CH 46).

PS - I have my father's Military DD214 Discharge records as verification reference. (Brian Vike is in possession of the documents as they were faxed to me on Friday, January 25, 2008).

Brian Vike’s Note: A Military cover-up, which seems to be nothing new from all the servicemen I have spoken with. From being threatened with loss of pensions, their lives, you name it. These are the stories military personal relate to me. The story above which was related to me by the son of Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards is another indication what the military/government will go to, to suppress any information about a UFO sightings brought out into the public domain.

It may be folks like Lt. Col. Roy Jack Edwards and his son, and others who are, or who have served in the military who have knowledge of UFO events and can come forward to relate their experiences. There has to be thousands of men and women who have served, or serving in the military who have been told to keep silent over what they saw or else. We will not know about these unusual events unless folks come forward.

Airline Pilot Observes Orange Light That Ended Up Being A Delta Shaped Triangle Flying Over Montreal Quebec

Date:  April 7, 2012
Time:  10:10 p.m.

Hi Brian, I'm a airline pilot, last night April 7, 2012 at 22:10, I was on my front steps in Montreal, Quebec facing west and my attention was drawn towards the south sky to an instant large bright orange light that I initially thought to be an aircraft exploding.

I quickly realized that it remained intact and did not separate or break up. It traveled at a speed that was a little faster than a jet would cross the sky, but certainly not the speed that a meteor, asteroid or falling space junk would have.

The other thing was that there was no sound or sounds present at all.

As it made its path on a heading of approximately 220 degrees magnetic, the glow gradually faded and completely extinguished.

Here's the cool part. The sky was 7500' broken, but with a very thin layer. The moon was out in the south sky and this object was between the moon and my position. As this object now flamed out, it entered the area above the clouds and the moon cast its shadow in the thin layer of cloud.

I could now see what it looked like. Speed and heading were constant and it's shape was a isosceles triangle with the two equal sides being about 1.5 time longer than the base. As it traveled above the cloud this delta shaped triangle shadow appeared to roll back and forth on the x axis.

I thought this was may be due to the irregular layer of the tops and base of the cloud.

Just before it flew over the layer, I was not able to detect any nav or strobes present at all. I would say no lights at all. I observed this object as a shadow as long as I could until it faded from my view. About 3 - 5 minutes later another orange light, but way less bright followed in the same path and speed, but was also much higher.

I had my IPhone in my hand for this one and so I filmed it. On the phone it looks like a dot on the screen moving along in the night sky.

I called the Montreal area control center (ACC) and find out if they tracked this and I was told they didn't track anything at all. They took my report and # and would forward it DND.

I would say it may have been something like a NASA X-43 scram jet.

Commercial Pilot Observes Bowtie Shaped Object Which Changed Into A Triangular Shaped UFO Over Central Pennsylvania

Date:  April 3, 2012
Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, my girlfriend and I watched something in the Central Pennsylvania sky last night I can't explain. I just feel the need to share it with someone.

I have been a commercial pilot for years, and consider myself a very reliable witness to anything that passes through the sky, but for the first time in my life, I have no explanation for this one.

Time was around 8:30 p.m. April 3, 2012. Skies were mostly clear, with a few high clouds. We were in our hot tub, in a somewhat rural, mountainous location, so there is very little light pollution.

My girlfriend spotted an object crossing through the sky, and by the time I had turned to see, the object was beginning to fade in intensity. I estimate it to be several miles away, and a few thousand feet in altitude.

It was passing east to west, against the prevailing winds. Surface winds were light from the west. To best describe the object, the overall shape could best be described as a bowtie.

The edges were not defined, and it had the appearance of being cloud-like, but it kept its shape the entire time. Again, it was traveling into the prevailing winds, and at a rather fast pace.

We watched it for about 30 seconds until it faded from view. We kept following what we thought would be its track, and it re-appeared as a light, increasing in intensity, eventually taking a triangle shape.

We watched it for about 30 more seconds as it faded into the western sky. I estimate we watched it cover 5-7 miles in about 90 seconds. It made no sound, and I'm sure this was not an aircraft.

My estimates of distance make this object fairly large in size. I can rule out ground lighting or spot lights based on its passing over several large hills. I clearly saw something I can't explain, and I'm curious if anyone else had the same experience. Thank you.

Ex Pilot Observes Bright Orange Lights Seen From Devizes Wiltshire UK

Date:  May 2, 2010
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Hi Brian, regarding your orange objects seen over Heathrow on 27 June 2010. Strangely, a month before this date, at about 11:00 p.m. on 2 May 2010 I saw three very bright orange lights in the sky. These were initially in line east - west.

I saw these from Devizes Wiltshire which is a little to the west of Heathrow from a pilot's point of view. After 2 minutes they suddenly started moving in differing directions across the sky. Like your sighting I used a small telescope to try to see some structure from the one that moved nearest my location, but it looked like a really bright star or planet.

No flicker and none of them were moving with the wind which was wnw 8mph. I know that because I had been paragliding that evening.

I put the sighting on a UFO sighting site and someone in West London excitedly reported he had seen orange objects moving across the sky toward the west (i.e. toward Heathrow Airport).

I am an ex-pilot (not professional) and sky watcher of decades but I can say I have never seen anything like what I saw that night. Nor can I work out what they were. My feeling was that they were very high in our atmosphere but there was no cloud to help discern their altitude. They could have been 2000 feet or 200,000 feet high.

When these orange 'Venuses' were stationary and my thought was military flares because we live near Salisbury Plain mod danger area and see these lots. But when they started to move in different directions I realized they were nothing 'normal' up in the starry sky.

Although I have seen some things in the sky over the years that I cannot identify as 'normal' sky phenomena or human vehicles, these orange objects have had a most profound effect on me. When I watched them move apart across the sky I knew I was seeing something really strange. But other people seem to find it easy to dismiss what I have seen as normal.

They say it must have been something natural or human. I know pretty much everything that is up 'there' and I ask them to give me an explanation. They cannot but remain sure they have a prosaic explanation. But truly, what I saw was profoundly unusual.

Another Heathrow event that happened a couple of years back has also made me feel we are seeing phenomena that we should be trying to scientifically understand. Because these things are in the sky on a regular basis challenging our view of what reality is. I was en-route on the motorway to somewhere else and I stopped in at Heathrow to try out a new camera. (I used to live nearer the airport and have a affection for the place.)

Moving aircraft on short finals give great testing conditions for cameras. I took a number of photos of jets crossing the hedge of 27R on a sharp, sunny day. We could see everything in the sky very clearly, in fact we noticed how many aircraft were going east-west at mid and high altitudes over the airport on N9 airway. We could see easy jet orange 737s at 20,000 feet descending into Bristol, it was that clear.

But we didn't see the UFO that I noticed on one of the photos a day later. I had taken a photo of a Fokker 100 jetliner and high up, in the background is an object shaped like a dark grey cigar with a semi pointed end. I thought it might be a bin-bag balloon but the temperatures were too low for such a sun-heated black bin bag balloon to work.

What is odd is that the sun was in the south or south-west and this object is sideways to the sun. The sun should have high lighted its side up but this isn't how it looks.  It looks grey and slightly faint as though it is not completely there. I found another object with these strange semi-real lighting characteristics in a paragliding photograph. Both objects, while shaped differently, look very far away which would make them huge but would explain the lack of clarity. I could email you the photos if it interested you.

Hope this is of interest.

Helicopter Pilot Observes Two Orange Burning Lights Over Leckhampstead Buckinghamshire UK

Date: August 24, 2011
Time: After midnight.

Brian, what can I say, I just saw the craziest thing above Leckhampstead area, Bucks, two orange 'burning' lights in the sky. I thought they were aircraft and I headed over to the pub to get someone else to look, stopped, one headed off into the, (rain), clouds, got smaller and smaller, vanished, the other lingered for a while, then did the same.

At one point I remember thinking 'WTH?', I am a helicopter pilot, and thought I was witnessing two aircraft about to collide, they were so close, then thought it was hot air balloons gas burning, it was really orange in colour. I then realized I hadn't got a clue what it/they was/were. Cheers.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Boomerang Winged UFO Spotted Over Pilot Butte Saskatchewan (Photos And Diagram)

Re-posted with update, photos and diagram.

Vike Factor Note: Marina, the lady who witnessed this amazing UFO event and will be a guest on the Jeff Rense show this evening, January 21, 2011 at 8:00 p.m. PST. You will be able to hear first hand what it was she saw, and how it effected her life.

Date: August 11/12 1997
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m. and 12:18 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Pilot Butte Saskatchewan.
Number of witnesses: 7 and 1.
Number of Objects: 1 and 1.
Shape of Objects: Boomerang wing.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: A lot happened afterwards too. The first night the object looked liked a scalloped wing, bright against the stars, high in the sky. Much, much bigger than a jet plane at a high altitude. No sound on either night.

The second night I was alone in my back yard. I was watching the Perseids meteor shower. (as we had been doing the night previously). It was very clear moonless night and the constellations could be seen clearly, Cassiopia especially. I was about to turn in for bed when the Northern Lights flared up in the distant north horizon. I went to my gate to get a better view, my yard at that time faced the open Prairies.

Something to the east of me caught my eye, I can only describe it as a gathering of a flock of black birds, this was only a few seconds, then this huge object sailed over my head. It was so low I could have thrown a rock at it and hit it easily. It was a pale gold/silver, champagne colour. (the colour of many cars these days.) It was just a huge wing, with protuberances all over it. They looked like upturned loaf tins, about 18 inches long by about 10 inches, very smooth and no corners.

It seemed odd that the object seemed to float like a fish in water, rather than something in air.

It made absolutely no sound, not even a hiss or a swish or anything. It was not an ultra light or a hang glider, I am sure of that.

It seemed to hover over my head for several seconds, then it moved above the light standard at the corner of the block about 30 feet away, then like a flash it was gone at an incredible speed up north.

I ran into the house and locked the door and pushed something in front it. I had to laugh at myself for that. I immediately wrote down what I had seen and the time. It is seared on my memory anyway.

Next day I measured distances in my yard and ditch and road and figured that it was about 20-30 feet long and about 80-100 feet wide. I also tossed and waved paper and string around to see if they made any noise as they disturbed the air. They did. I phoned the airport at Regina, and they told me they had registered nothing and every craft has to have a transponder on it.

I contacted Moose Jaw airbase by letter and they said they had nothing out at that time. I contacted them again with a drawing and I got a phone call from the commander of the base. He said they had nothing like that flying and didn't know what it was, and if I saw it again to contact him. I never saw it again.

Strange things happened to my flowers etc., but I don't know if this had anything to do with the UFO. Since then I have been very interested in sightings, but I have never seen one reported like the ones we saw.

Thank you for listening. Happy New Year.

Additional Information:

HI Brian, thank you for kindly getting back to me. It was impulse on my part, that made me tell my story. I do not want to be thought of as a nut. I have told my family and a few friends, but people are very skeptical, and one friend in particular annoyingly insists that what I saw was an Ultra light, or a hang glider or a Stealth bomber. Even though she wasn't there. I think some people are really afraid of the implications of seeing something unknown.

I forgot to add that the next day, up on a Northern Reserve, a farmer found a crop circle in a field. I have often wondered if the two events were related.

This strange event will be forever in my memory.

A few days later my plants started changing. Some of my red flowers had a strict demarcation line down the center and one half was green and the other red, or one was red and yellow. I had some deep purple petunias in a hanging pouch, they started to get white flecks on them, then white streaks.

Eventually they became lime green and purple. (I may have some old photos still) I am a keen gardener, and I do not use chemicals or anything other than natural substances in my garden. My sunflowers developed numerous heads packed tightly up to eight heads onto one stalk. One sunflower was completely green.

I contacted every nursery both in Saskatchewan and Alberta, and sent pictures, but nobody could give me a reason for the weird things happenings to my plants.

If there had been some residue from a farmer's spraying or such, why was garden the only one affected? My neighbour was a keen gardener too and his garden was unaffected.

I was having dinner at his house a week later and I left at about 10:00pm. I looked up at the stars as I often do and saw a very bright Venus. Then I thought it was too large for Venus and then I said, Venus shouldn't be there. (I have an unfortunate habit of talking out loud to my dog) I remember I did a silly thing. I waved at the 'star' and it immediately went out.

That took the grin off my face and I got scared and ran into the house and locked the door. I was a bit paranoid for several months as I kept seeing a 'star' above me even in daylight.

I will send you a copy of the the sketch I made, but I am no artist and it is very crude. I will also look for the photographs to see if I have any tucked away.

I think I sent most of them to the nurseries, and no digital cameras then, Thank you for your interest.

Hello again, these are the only photos I can find. I'm thinking the best ones were sent to the nurseries with my letters. I cannot find any of the red flowered plants which turned half green and half red.

The multi headed sunflowers are not too clear either. The purple petunias, can be seen as they are turning to lime green and purple stripes, but the clearer ones were sent to the nurseries, which I might add never ever got back to me with a reply.

Also enclose the sketch, as I said I am no artist, but it may be be helpful. It was a clear starry night. I hope this helps, I may have the letter from the Air Force Base.

(I'm a pack rat, I throw little away!) I will look in the New Year for that and any other photos. You have been sent 6 pictures.

Boomerang Winged UFO Spotted Over Pilot Butte Saskatchewan

They looked like upturned loaf tins, about 18ins long by about 10ins, very smooth and no corners.

Navigator And Pilot Observe 4 To 5 Amber Orange Lights Over Tennant Creek Northern Territory Australia

Date: June 2010
Time: Early evening.

Location of Sighting: Skies east of Tennant Creek NT.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 4-5
Shape of Objects: Too far

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I work as a Navigator for an Aerial Surveying Company and we were doing a ferry from Kununurra WA to Tennant Creek NT, when we were on final approach to TC when both I and the pilot watched about 4 to 5 amber orange lights in the distance to the East slowly moving and blinking on and off. Some of them would drop in height and then rejoin the group.

There was another plane ahead of us which was coming in to TC from the opposite direction, however I would not know if they saw the lights too, but if they had looked out the right of them I would be pretty certain that they could have seen them even though they were at lower altitude to us.

The pilot joked to me that we were seeing UFO's, but when discussed over dinner that night, he refused to accept that and said they were "probably" planes.

I have worked in the aviation industry for over 12 years and the pilot for over 35 years and I know a plane when I see one.

This is the 2nd time I have encountered strange aerial activity and I might submit a report for that one too, but that was a few years ago, but lasted alot longer over a major city.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Helicopter Pilot Shines Spot Light On Two UFOs Over Loudoun County Virginia

Date: February 14, 2007?
Time: 10:20 p.m.

Location of Sighting: East Route 50 at Route 15, Loudoun County, Virginia.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Round bright lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was on my way to work on that very, cold, below zero temperature night, while snow and sleet continued falling on the ground. As I approached the traffic light that sat at the intersection of Route 50 at Route 15 (in Loudoun County, VA) I noticed some alarming bright lights above in the sky.

As I looked up, I saw what looked like two full moons, side by side. One would hide behind a puffy white cloud that was before them. The other one would wait for the one hiding behind the cloud to pop back up, then that round object would hide behind the cloud.

They took turns doing so. I pinched my face and skin. Because of the weather and road conditions, all motorists were encouraged and advised to stay off the roadway and schools were cancelled for the next day. But, I had to go to work. My vehicle wasn’t he only vehicle on the road (at that intersection) at that time. I could not believe my eyes. Then out of nowhere, came a helicopter. I could see the red light flashing on it.

I could easily identify it as a helicopter. I saw when the pilot obviously turned on his (or her) spotlight. It shined on these two bright unidentified objects in the sky. At this point, I am thrilled. I assume that the pilot of that helicopter got a close up of what I was looking at and would make headlines in the morning paper.

I just knew that I would read about it in the morning newspaper. I was more than excited about being a witness to this. I watched the helicopter fly slowly (and I mean slowly around these two circular objects (with it's spot light on). I had no camera or cell phone with me. But, I just knew that this would be all over the news. As I continued driving, I could see the two big bright solid beams that shined from the two unidentified objects down unto a snow covered area to my right.

I wanted to stop and follow the beams, but I was too scared. I will never forget those lights. Unidentified and they were pulsating, spinning around and popping up and down behind a cloud, one at a time. It was fascinating to be honest. By now one of my co-workers had set out to look for me because I had not made it to work. I ended up seeing my co-worker on Route 50.

We pulled over and one the first things that he said, that I mentioned was about those unidentified lights. To this date the only logical explanation for those lights, that time of night and shining that bright under those extreme weather conditions has to be either UFO's or our military personnel. Otherwise, there is no other explanation for beams or circular lights that bright. I wish that the pilot of the helicopter would talk.

I would love to share what I saw from the ground and love to hear just what he (or she/the pilot) saw at eye level in the sky facing those lights.

Unreal. I wish I would see this all over again, this time with a camera or video recorder.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Pilot Enters An Intense Pink Light Near Tunbridge Wells UK

Date: October 19, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hello, from the out I'll say that this isn't normally my kind of thing, but I happened to be flying back into the UK Tuesday eve in a light-ish aircraft just after sunset and ran into an intense pink light weather/whatever phenomenon near Tunbridge Wells that I had never imagined.

I told various friends who also fly simply because it was more than strange and scared me a bit, so much so that I almost turned back away from it, but I entered it and the plane was lit up inside like the brightest summers day, only pink, but was then hit by such intense hail and turbulence that I lost my seat, lost my headset, banged my head and thought it so severe so I made a report on the radio to the radar service provider to warn other aircraft.

He commented that he could see intense cells in my location which surprised me as I had expected none. The forecast was for none of the severe weather encountered or I would not have made the trip. I am glad that I told friends pretty well immediately both en route home from the airport, that night and next morning (so you can imagine how it affected me) because a day later I have had one of them just mail me a report on a very similar thing that was reported in the Mail over London. It seems to get the brush off and comments were closed off and so on searching quickly came across your link touching on these things and felt it worth making contact.

If interested I'd be happy to give a fuller account. If you know of an explanation of any kind I'd be happy to hear.

All the best.

Navy Pilot And Family Baffled By Orange Light Over Memphis Tennessee

Date: July 3, 2010
Time: Evening.

We also witnessed the orange light on July 3rd. We live just outside Memphis, TN. My husband (a Navy pilot), 2 of our children, and I were all swimming when I noticed the light. I asked my husband immediately what it was and was surprised when he didn't know. It travelled very steadily and quietly for at least 45 seconds. He too said that it looked like some type of rocket, or burning engine, but was not convinced that it was either.

He has spent a lot of hours flying at night and had never seen anything like, which gave him the chills. I guessed it was a meteor, but after doing a little research, that didn't seem right either.

From where we were it seemed to be heading SE to NW and originally thought it was fairly close to Earth. However, we found out later that night that a friend's son had seen it from Indianapolis, so we knew it was further away than we originally thought.

Professional Pilot Observes Orange Light From Barry Wales

Date: April 28, 2010
Time: 10:00 p.m.

Standing outside at 10:00pm on 28th April in Barry, I saw what I first thought to be the police helicopter with the search light on due to the intense brightness. I was looking east up the hill and the light was about 30 degrees above the horizon and seemed to be about a mile distant. I then realized that there was no noise and I took my phone from my pocket to try and get a picture as I’ve seen several anomalous objects in the Vale of Glamorgan before.

The light was a bright orange, much brighter than an orange sodium light which was also in my view, and seemed to be shaped like a flattened hour glass. The light was approaching obliquely towards me and then blinked out, unfortunately I failed to get a shot of it. I’m a professional pilot and in my opinion this was neither aircraft nor Chinese lantern.

If you have seen anything like this at Barry Wales or somewhere else in the world, would you please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Pilot UFO Sighting In Tranquillity California

Brian Vike's Note: There are thousands of aircraft flights each and everyday, if carrying passengers, cargo or military flights of some type. With so many flights taking place each and everyday we are lucky if we hear a small fraction of unidentified UFO reports from pilots.

Sightings of unknown objects are being witnessed each and everyday by ground observers, but yet we don't receive all that many pilot reports.

I would like to request that if any pilots who have been witness to something they weren't able to explain while flying an aircraft, would you please be so kind as to relate the information, or your sighting report to me.

Please keep in mind that any and all personal information will be respected and will remain private. I will not post names, emails or anything else that you would consider personal.

So if a pilot has been witness to a UFO sighting, please do write to me, Brian Vike at v_factor_paranormal@live.com and by using this email address I will be the only person reading your mail.

Thank you, Brian.

In the summer of 1978, I was flying for a crop dusting operation near Tranquillity, California. At that time I had been a duster pilot for over sixteen years, and flying nights since 1965.

In central California during the summer months, certain fields are treated after dark, mainly to protect workers and honeybees from exposure to AG chemicals.

On the early morning of 28 July, just before three AM, I was sitting in the cockpit of my airplane, a Rockwell Thrush Commander.

The aircraft was parked, with its engine shut down and all interior and exterior lights off, at the south end of a one-half mile dirt runway, located about five miles southwest of Mendota, a small town in the San Joaquin Valley about thirty miles west of Fresno. The

Thrush was lined up with the runway, facing due north.

I had just finished spraying a quarter-section cotton field, and was getting ready to spray another.

My two girl flaggers were already in place on the field I was about to treat, and my loader was busy mixing a batch of pesticide to be applied on it.

It was a calm, cloudless night, typical of midsummer in the San Joaquin Valley. The air temperature at ground level was around seventy degrees, and the visibility was good.

Although I was somewhat tired, I was not at all sleepy. I had drunk several cups of coffee from my thermos during the previous six hours, and I have always been sensitive to caffeine as a stimulant.

As I sat in the cockpit, waiting for the first load to be pumped into the hopper tank, I glanced over to my right at the crescent moon rising in the east, and then turned back to again face north.

At this time, I noticed a dim, diffused orange glow, low in the sky to the northwest, about forty-five degrees to the left of the aircraft nose.

My first thought was that a house, barn, or other nearby ranch building had caught fire, but I discarded that possibility almost immediately. I knew the area quite well (an absolute necessity for safe night AG flying) and the glow was in the direction of the field that I was about to spray.

I had flown this same field several times before, and knew there were no buildings in the immediate vicinity. I decided that if it was a fire, it had to be much farther away.

This possibility was discarded a few seconds later, when the orange glow began to slowly rise. When it was about thirty degrees above the horizon, it started moving toward the east. At first this movement was quite slow, but within a few seconds, it speeded up.

The glow then began to take on an elongated form, markedly longer in the vertical plane than in the horizontal. It reminded me of a segment of searchlight beam, except that the entire light column moved laterally, while oriented nearly straight up and down, rather than in a radius around a fixed light source.

The length of the column seemed to be about ten to twenty degrees of vertical sky coverage.

As the light column passed through due north, straight ahead over the airplane nose, it continued accelerating and becoming brighter. I then realized that I was viewing something that was totally different from my many other nighttime sightings of missile launches, satellites, planets, and other aircraft.

I yelled for my loader to look, but the noise of the mix rig engine drowned out my voice, and because his attention was focused on opening cans of pesticide on the opposite side of the mix tank, he didn't see my frantic signals.

I climbed out of the cockpit onto the left wing, planning to jump down and run around the trailer to alert him. Then I had the thought that if I did, I might miss a vital part of the display, so I remained standing on the wing.

After passing abeam of the runway end, the object continued accelerating for a short time, perhaps five to ten seconds.

It then climbed slightly, and at the same time abruptly slowed. During this phase the glow was becoming brighter, while the vertical beam was shortening, forming itself into a more compact mass of light.

At about forty-five degrees off to my right, the object, now considerably brighter, and resembling a glowing ball, came to a stop for several seconds. It then reversed course, and once again began moving, this time back to the west.

Several seconds after starting its westward movement, and without slowing, the ball of light instantly assumed the shape of a well-defined, flattened sphere with pointed ends, which emitted a steady orange glow.

At this time it began a shallow descent, gathering speed and leveling out around twenty degrees above the horizon. It flew with its pointed ends parallel to the ground. From my position, the size of the object looked to be about that of a large pea or small marble when held at arms length.

When the glowing, flattened sphere was directly over the Thrush's nose, it abruptly halted, going from a high rate of speed to a dead stop almost instantaneously.

It remained stationary for no more than a few seconds - five at the most. Although this would have been the best opportunity to determine the object's true size, I was unable to make an estimate, since its distance from me was unknown.

On the report which I later submitted, I placed it at one to three miles away, but that distance is highly speculative.

After its momentary halt, the object again accelerated. Within a few seconds it had resumed its previous high speed, but appeared to have turned ninety degrees, and was now climbing directly away from me at a very steep angle.

Its heading was due north, and as it rose, it attained what looked to be the highest speed reached during the entire time it had been in view.

Because of the unknown size and distance of the object, and the fact that it was climbing at an angle directly away from me, this speed was impossible to estimate accurately.

Judging from the rate at which it seemed to grow smaller though, it looked to be travelling about three to five times faster than a jet airliner at an altitude of around thirty thousand feet, as seen from the ground.

During this climb, the object also reached its maximum brightness, only very slightly less than that of the crescent moon. As it continued to rise, it began to dim.

It finally vanished from my sight high above the horizon (about sixty to seventy degrees), over the glow of the lights of Firebaugh, another small town about 12 miles due north of my position.

The total time which the object remained in view, from my first sighting of the diffused mass of light until the final disappearance of the flattened sphere, seemed to be about 40-50 seconds, but an accurate estimate is quite difficult.

It could have been somewhat shorter, but almost certainly wasn't longer.

Throughout the episode, I remained relatively calm, but was filled with awe when I realized that I had just witnessed a phenomenon about which I had previously only read, and, up to that time, was not at all certain actually existed.

As soon as the object disappeared, I jumped off the wing and asked my loader if he had seen anything. He had not, and when I told him what I had witnessed, he was disappointed, to say the least.

He finished mixing the batch of pesticide, and I sprayed four loads on the field. I then sprayed another quarter-section located northeast of the strip without further incident.

After returning to Tranquillity, I sought out my two flaggers, and asked them if they had seen anything unusual the previous night. They were both very evasive and reluctant to answer my questions, and kept trying to change the subject.

I finally got them to admit that they had also seen the object. Their view of it had been better than my own, since they described it as somewhat larger and brighter than it had appeared from my location.

From this, I estimated that they were closer to it than I had been, although it had still remained to the north of them.

With further questioning, the fact emerged that they had also seen the same object on the previous two nights, while flagging for another pilot. The girls described it very aptly as "a little, flat, flying football."

They had told no one else of these previous sightings, and remained very reluctant to discuss them with me. I later talked with the other pilot, who stated that he had seen nothing out of the ordinary on either night.

Several nights later, at around midnight, I was in the air, returning to Tranquillity from the western edge of the valley. I was heading almost due east, flying at about five hundred feet. Suddenly, to the south, just off my right wing, at what seemed to be considerable distance away, I again sighted a column of diffused light.

This time, the glow was more yellowish than orange. It appeared to move very slowly to the west, and I waited for a few seconds to see if another bright, oval shape would materialize from it.

This did not occur. I then turned the airplane toward the light column, and flashed my two field lights of six hundred watts each. It immediately disappeared, and I saw no further evidence of the phenomenon.

A few days afterward, I wrote to the National Investigative Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP), and reported the first sighting. Since the second light column had seemed rather far away, and was visible for only a short time, I didn't mention it.

I later made out a NICAP report form and returned it. There was no reply from the organization, and I later learned that NICAP became non-operational the next year.

That sighting of 28 July made a very deep and lasting impression. I can still see the glowing orange, flattened sphere as vividly in my mind as it appeared on that early morning many years ago.

I have no doubt that the device (or whatever it was) was real - there is absolutely no way that it could have been a product of my imagination.

Twelve years previously, I had flown in the Sudan with some AG pilots who mentioned seeing somewhat similar objects in Arkansas and Florida.

Around that same time, many persons in the Mendota-Tranquillity area claimed to have seen, over a period of several nights, a gigantic, black object, with strange, multi-colored flashing lights. It moved slowly, making no sound, and was so huge that it obscured a significant portion of the night sky.

(This fits the "mother ship" description of which I later read in various UFO accounts.) I never saw this vehicle, so I can't verify its existence, but it was the talk of all of the little towns on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley for many weeks afterward.

Over the years, I have seen two other unusual objects during night AG flying operations in the same general area. I once observed a bright blue light descend slowly to the ground from a high altitude, and watched, for a minute or so, a group of several bright white lights in a perfect "L" formation. They were flying very high and very fast, much faster than any known conventional aircraft.

Neither of these incidents had the visual and psychological impact of the 1978 sighting however.

As I write this, I have spent over 35 years in agricultural aviation, and accumulated more than eleven thousand hours of AG flying time, several thousand of these at night.

During the many thousands of hours I have spent outdoors after dark, I have seen hundreds of satellites, about thirty missile launches from Vandenberg AFB, all of the visible planets under widely varying sky conditions, and many thousands of military and civilian aircraft in all modes of flight.

What I saw on that early July morning was totally unlike anything else I have ever observed in the night sky.

Since then, I have read hundreds of books dealing with all aspects of UFOs. Many of them contain accounts that are inconsistent and contradictory, while others are obviously outright fantasy. A few, however, seem to be authentic.

Unlike most other UFO researchers, my search for the truth behind the many thousands of documented appearances of these phenomena is driven by the certain knowledge that they in fact exist.

To date, despite many years of research, I am still unable to form a definite opinion as to the substance and meaning of these mysterious and logic-defying objects.

I hope, however, to somehow correlate the mass of at-times conflicting information, and determine their true origin and purpose, before I make that last flight West.

END

After the above article was first published, (removed by Brian Vike) received a letter from a 25,000 hour commercial pilot who had sighted what was essentially the same phenomenon on a night in January of 1978, six months before my own experience.

He was on a charter flight with several passengers aboard and cruising at 8500 feet when, at about 9 PM, he looked to the west of his course and saw a similar cycle of light begin.

He started to turn toward it to get a better view, but his passengers had no desire whatever to get any closer…they became quite agitated and “strongly objected,” so he reluctantly turned away from the spectacle so as to calm them down.

By the time he got back on his original heading, the light show was over. He also mentioned that he had seen a flight of “silvery disks” somewhere over north central Washington sometime in the 1950’s.

(Removed by Brian Vike) also got a letter from a distinguished professor at a northern California university, who dismissed my sighting as “only the aurora borealis, or northern lights.”

I have seen the northern lights a number of times. Once, when they were exceptionally strong, they even appeared on the horizon in southern California. Of course, they bear no resemblance whatever to what I saw in the sky that morning, and anyone reading the article who has also seen the northern lights should have been able to comprehend that there was a vast difference between them.

Some professor! Some aurora borealis!

Since the article first appeared, I have had one more sighting of something that remains unexplained in my mind. My wife also saw it, and is likewise at a loss to explain it.

On an early summer evening, we were lying on our backs on a lawn, watching the passage of the linked space shuttle/space station as they passed overhead. It was a very bright object, and had appeared exactly at the time forecast.

About 15 seconds after it had passed directly above us, we saw a bright white, flashing light on approximately the same track as the linked vehicles, but some distance behind them. It was nearly directly overhead also. The light didn’t move in the same direction however.

Instead, it flashed, disappeared, and then flashed again in another location some distance away from its original position. This cycle repeated itself about five or six times, with the light appearing at a different part of the sky each time, then the object disappeared.

I mailed an account of this sighting to the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, an organization which gathers reports of unexplained aerial object sighting from all over the world. They mostly come from airline pilots.

The reply stated that this same “flashing, disappearing/reappearing light” was one of the most common objects reported by a large number of pilots, none of whom were able to explain it. Neither was NARCAP.

Although I have been searching for 40 years, I myself am no wiser as to the origin or purpose of these various unidentified flying objects which are being reported with increasing frequency all over the world.

However, since there is nothing in the universe that is “supernatural,” I am convinced that they are a part of some larger phenomena yet to be discovered.

An Unexplained Sighting Over Northern Alabama

(Published in - Removed by Brian Vike - September 1995 as sidebar to "A Little Flat Flying Football")

Whenever I travel by airline, I always try to get a window seat, because I like to look out on the ever-changing clouds and sky and watch the ground passing below. Thus, on 21 April 1994, at approximately 1310 EDT, I was in the rearmost right window seat of a Delta Lockheed L-1011.

The aircraft was nearly full of passengers, heading west/northwest on a flight from Atlanta to Salt Lake City.

We were in a climb to cruising altitude, passing through approximately 18/20,000 feet, when I suddenly saw, almost directly below, two seemingly circular bright, glowing white objects, with no visible wings or tail surfaces, moving toward the northeast at a very high speed. I spotted them just after they had passed under the airplane.

Because I have no knowledge of their size, or their distance from the aircraft, it's hard to say how far below they actually were, or at what speed they were traveling.

I can tell you that they were moving very fast though...much faster than the fastest military fighter aircraft would be capable of flying, especially at that relatively low altitude.

Besides that, with only a few exceptions for test and tactical ranges in several of the western states, supersonic flight is forbidden over the continental US, and these machines were traveling at a speed which was obviously much higher than the speed of sound would have been at that altitude.

And of course all military aircraft of all the services are now coated with either radar-absorptive or camouflage paint, and thus are either a uniform dull grey or a dull gray/green mottled color combination.

Although these objects were flying together, they were not in a close formation, such as tactical military aircraft would normally be, but approximately 3-5 degrees apart. As they moved away below, they seemed to drift a little farther away from each other.

I watched them disappear in the distance, and then looked forward along the row of seats to see if anyone ahead of me was pointing, gesturing, or giving some indication that they had also seen the objects.

No one was...all of the other passengers had the window shades down and were watching some dumb Whoopee Goldberg movie. Evidently I was the only one looking out the window.

While this didn't have the same impact as my previous sighting of July 1978, it was still an exciting experience. I only wish I had seen an indication that someone else on that airplane had sighted the machines...or whatever they were.

If anyone has witnessed the UFO/Object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Vike Factor Note: I do receive sighting reports from everywhere in the world, and I post all of the reports I receive here: http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/
