City Of Toronto Police Officer Witnesses A Huge UFO Over Toronto Ontario

From Brian Vike's UFO Files.

Date:  Fall 2004
Time: Approximately  2:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Large gold ball glowing no tail.

Canadian UFO Investigator Brian Vike's Note: The police officer mentioned that he texted his radio dispatcher by way of the computer enquiring if any other reports had been received over the object he witnessed.

The dispatcher confirmed that some other folks had made calls over the sighting. So if anyone remembers back and had seen this object would they please contact Brian at sighting@telus.net Thank you.

Full Description of event/sighting: I am a Police officer employed by the City of Toronto Ontario.

I have been so employed 29 years. In the Fall of 2004 in the afternoon I was assigned the traffic enforcement detail. To do this I use a Laser speed measuring device.

In the afternoon I was on a major north south road in the city's east end. I was seated inside my parked auto facing north.

I was looking at the heavily overcast skies when something caught my eye. I looked directly overhead and saw a large golden orb.

It glowed, but had no discernable tail. It was within the clouds, but the bottom of the orb was slightly lower and visible.

The clouds were low, but I could tell this object was huge. It moved northbound at a high rate of speed causing a wake in the clouds. I could see it was indeed an orb from a distance before it went out of sight. In 4 - 6 seconds it was gone.

After several minutes I texted my radio dispatcher by way of the computer and asked if there were any calls for a meteor or lights in the sky.

The dispatcher after several minutes confirmed some calls did come in regarding lights in the sky. I kept my sighting to myself and made no report to my superiors.

I fully expected something in the evening news about a meteor in the sky. There were no news reports to my knowledge. Before this incident I had little interest in UFO sightings etc..

Thank you to the officer for the very interesting report.

If anyone has had a UFO/UFOs sighting, please send me an email at sighting@telus.net or fill out the online UFO report form at http://sightings1.yolasite.com/ with details of what you saw.

Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Football Sized UFO Looked Like A Ferris Wheel Rotating In The Sky Outside Toronto Ontario (Written Report/Audio Interview/Diagram)

From Brian Vike’s UFO Files.

Date: Winter of 1980, (January ?)
Time: Evening.

UFO Investigator Brian Vike’s Note: Along with this report below, you will see the UFO reporting form which was written up by a UFO investigator years ago. Also two of the original diagrams the eyewitness provided to the investigator, also two new diagrams in which the eyewitness drew up recently for Brian Vike.

Also you will notice that Brian Vike has left the eyewitnesses name in the report form, I asked the witness if I should remove it, and he said it was fine to leave his name in, but I did remove his address and phone number which you will note on the reporting form.

If anyone witnessed this event back in the winter of 1980, would you please contact me here at The Vike Factorsighting@telus.net as by the sounds of things other folks had witnessed this as well, according to a newspaper article which was run on this sighting event.

Full Description of event/sighting: Around the winter of 1980, January perhaps, I just got off work at 9:30 p.m. from the auto dealership. I was a car salesman at the time. I started driving towards the city of Toronto, Canada, on the QEW (Queen Elizabeth Way) eastbound to meet some friends at a bar on the Esplanad (a street lined with nightclubs). I didn't have anything to drink and didn't smoke any pot on that day/evening.

As I was driving, I noticed a string of lights slowly rotating counter clockwise over the city of Toronto, at about the ten o'clock position from my point of view. This caught my eye because these formation of lights were very unusual.

The lights were evidently in a circular pattern with about two thirds visible as the other third rotated out of view. Imagine a pie plate with about 25 lights around the circumference of it. As this "pie plate" would revolve, a third of these lights would be hidden from view as if they were obstructed by a solid body. It was at night so all I could see was these rotating string of lights but they were definitely on a "fixed" platform as the lights were revolving in unison.

Although I've heard of UFO's and was curious, at that time in my life, I didn't really give that much thought about them. I've always been interested in nature and especially about the universe. I've seen all kinds of aircraft and advertising blimps at night before.

I drove taxi's off and on for fifteen years on the night shift and have seen countless meteors, lightening, satellites etc. On two occasions I've even seen extremely bright, slow falling, green fireball meteors lighting up the ground, for a couple of seconds, as if it was daylight.

I've read, in later years, were other witnesses reported green fireballs as UFO's. I chuckled to myself thinking how easily "UFO believers" can be fooled by natural phenomenon.

Anyway, these circle of lights were slowly descending and approaching towards me (westbound), while I was driving about 115 kilometers per hour on the highway eastbound. These lights were getting closer and closer as "we" approached each other. I recall thinking to myself that this must be some kind of advertising balloon and those lights were letters.

As I kept driving, I was paying more and more attention to this object because the closer it was getting, the more unusual it looked. I kept glancing at it, while driving, waiting until it was close enough to read what these letters were saying, still thinking it was some kind of advertising blimp.

The closer it got, the more I looked at it. Now at my nine o'clock position, the string of rotating lights started to bank left like an airplane would "turning right" At this point, I realized that these lights were not letters at all. They were different shaped, yellowish white lights.

The reason these lights were different in shape was because they were "ingrained" into some body. When the lights were seen head on, they were circular. But as they rotated out of "direct" view, they changed shape like the different crescents of the moon. That's why they appeared to be all different shapes.

Anyway, during the time when this object started to bank left, from my point of view, I was struggling with myself trying to understand whether this was a plane or a balloon. It was flying too slow for a plane, yet, too fast for a blimp. Also, it didn't appear to be flying or floating. The best way I can describe it's motion is that it looked like it was "sailing" in the sky.

What's interesting here is that the human brain tries to associate what the eyes are seeing, to something already seen or experienced before. That's why I was at war with myself trying to decide whether this object was a plane, blimp or a balloon.

Every time I resigned myself to what I must be witnessing, I jumped to another conclusion. This jumping from one conclusion to another occurred during the whole experience. I was imagining all kinds of things. For example, if it was a plane, the only way these lights could have been positioned was in a circle because this plane must have had some kind of supporting structure in a circle from wing tip to wing tip. This didn't make any sense at all.

I've seen advertising planes before. This was nothing like this. Not even close. Then I was trying to imagine a "Goodyear blimp" with these letters going across it's side. This was nothing like it either. So here I was, trying to drive and watch this object at the same time.

As I was driving, I started to slow down because I kept looking at this circle of lights more than the road ahead of me. In retrospect, I don't even know how I kept my car on the road because I was so awed by this display in the sky.

Here is the killer.

As the object kept banking and banking more and more, it eventually ended up totally perpendicular to the ground! The first thing that came to mind was a big Ferris wheel rotating in the sky. At this point I slowed down to about 50 KPH (30 miles an hour in a 60 MPH highway for my American friends) and put my four way, flashing hazard lights on my car fearing that another car would smash into the back of me for going so slow on a 100 KPH highway.

Here is the shocker.

As I was mesmerized by this UFO, a surge of adrenaline hit me like a ton of bricks. I didn't realize how big this thing was. At first I thought it was the size of an airplane fairly close. It was gigantic! At least twice the size of a football field, bigger than an aircraft carrier! I don't know what gave away it's size. Maybe the reflections of light on the ground.

The best way I can relate this sudden realization is like one of those illusions most of us have seen. You know, when you look at a pixel drawing with an image you can't see until you stare at it for a while? After a period of time, you make out the face of a women or something like that?

That's kind of the transformation I experienced. At first I thought the object was the size of a large plane than suddenly I really saw it. It was huge! I yelled out loud to my self, "holey crap", it's huge". I don't freaking believe it, It's freaking huge! I thought it was fairly close at first, than bang!, it was much farther away and larger than my brain first comprehended it.

Speaking about this surge of adrenaline. Have you ever had a really close call having a car accident? When your heart rate skyrockets to about 180 beats per minute? That's what I felt when I realized how gargantuan this object was! I could literally feel my heart pounding like crazy. To be frank, it literally scared the hell out of me, when I realized how big it was.

At this point, I rolled down my window and pointed to this giant "Ferris wheel" in the sky to the other motorists, but it appeared no one seemed to notice as they screamed by me at regular highway speeds. I remember how cold it was when I rolled down my window. It was something like minus 30 Celsius below zero.

After, I don't know how long, probably only a few seconds of rotating in this perpendicular position, this thing started to climb and right itself and "sail" back to the direction it originally came from. I rolled up my window, turned off my hazard lights, and started to speed up to chase it. Still it seemed other motorists didn't notice this object. It still irks me to this day.

As I was approaching the city limits, this object was in it's flat position again climbing over the city. Then, all of a sudden, the rotating lights turned off except for a red "aircraft like" blinking light (which I never noticed before). After a few seconds, the rotating lights turned on again. It was like in the movie "Close Encounters Of The Third Kind".

The lights just blasted on. Then after a few seconds they turned off again as it seemed to be right over the city. Strange behavior. Now I was exiting off of the highway on to Spadina Rd. I lost track of these lights because of the tall buildings. When I was on the street where I was going, I saw a cop parked on the other side of the road writing a parking ticked.

I stopped in the middle of the road and ran over to him. He was quite taken aback by my seemingly aggressive approach. I asked him, "how long have you been here?" I forgot what he said, but I asked, "did you see that big circle of lights flying in the sky?

He said "no". After parking my car, I met my friends at the bar, "Baily's", and told them what happened but they didn't take me seriously as they've already had a few and were more interested in the ladies.

After "sitting at the bar by myself" for a couple of hours I went home. I was living at my parent's house at the time, temporarily, so when I got home around 1:00 A.M., I called the police. I didn't know who else to phone at the time.

They didn't take me seriously of course so after that, I phoned the Toronto International Airport and managed to get through to Air Traffic Control and asked them if they had anyone call in with a UFO report. Nothing. So I called the police again and convinced them to take me seriously as I wanted to make a report.

They told me they can send a couple of officers to my house. As it was late and my parents were asleep, I told them I'd rather come to the station the next day to report. Next morning, when I contemplated going in I decided not to, fearing they would think I'm some kind of wacko.

As the days went by, scanning the newspapers looking for a "UFO sighting" to no avail, I started doubting myself. I was trying to convince myself that perhaps I was somehow mistaken. Maybe it was something not out of the ordinary at all. Maybe it was a balloon or airplane of some kind. Maybe like thousands of others, I witnessed something that I misinterpreted for something else.

And now the conclusion.

About a week or so later, on or about the tenth page of the Toronto Star, bottom right hand corner, there it was! A short article. "Dozens of Mississauga residents reported a UFO as big as a football field!"

I don't recall the whole article. I'll never doubt myself again no matter how much ridicule I'll be subjected to. After about 27 years, I just had to let this out.

Huge Orange Light/Object Glowing Like Fire In The Sky Over Toronto Ontario

Date:  August 30, 2014
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hey just Googling things. Literally saw a huge orange light like a growing fire in the sky. It changed its directory from north west to northeast.

It looked like a flame in the sky. It eventually faded out.

Additional Information:

My whole family witnessed it today in Toronto, Ontario at around 9:30 pm! It looked like a rocket but made absolutely no sound.  It was very close.

Red Lights Filmed – Possible Black Triangle In The Sky Over Toronto Ontario (Pictures)

Date:  August 10, 2014
Time:  Evening.

‎Last night while taking pictures of my kids with the Super-moon this strange object with 3 big red lights appear out of nowhere above it and moved forward beside another building.

The kids where scared, there was nothing in the sky and it just popped out. Somebody at the news told me maybe a Camera Drone, but that was too big, it was like a war plane size except wasn't a plane.

Here are some pictures.

The Vike Factor Note: I have received a number of sighting reports from Ontario where folks have seen red lights, some in the form of a Black Triangle.

A One Foot In Diameter Glowing Orange Ball Of Light Over Toronto Ontario Canada

 Date:  July 18, 2014
Time:  Evening.

Hello, I'm not sure if you're still maintaining this email, but thought I'd let you know of my sighting last night.

I live on the 26th floor of a condo. My brother was laying in bed and saw a 1 foot orange ball of glowing light rise slowly through his window. He called me to see what he was seeing to confirm that he's not going crazy.

I went into our living room and saw the light, but it was a bit further away. It looked like an orange, cylindrical candle floating in the sky, staying in the same place. I thought it was a reflection from someone else's apartment so ran outside to double check.

By the time I stepped on to my balcony (30 seconds from initial sighting), it was much further away. Going towards Pearson airport. Then it disappeared. I don't think behind clouds since I could still see planes flying the same distance.

I took a video when I went outside, but it's difficult to tell what it was since it was already so far away.

Thanks.

6 To 8 Round Objects/Lights Seen Traveling Above Toronto Ontario Canada

 Date:  July 19, 2014
Time:  Approx: 2:00 a.m.

Hi, I was at a friend's terrace near Liberty Village in Toronto at around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday July 19, 2014 when I saw a couple of objects moving in the sky.

Probably 6 to 8 round shaped objects were cruising on a southeast direction. They were just a little bigger than the size of a star. Their light was really faint and the clouds didn't help see them very clearly.

They seemed to be metallic and no sound was emitted. They had dim lights that were opaque and whitish gray, as if they were cloaking. They had no specific flight formation or pattern.

They just followed a specific direction while flying closer and further from each other.

Hope someone else saw it. Regards.

Thank you to Mandalorian for the report.

Orange/Red Blinking Light Seen From Toronto Ontario Canada

Date:  N/A
Time:  N/A

Not sure if we saw the same thing, but almost positive it wasn't on the same date. I live downtown Toronto on Queen West. My backyard faces south towards Lake Ontario. I was by myself coming from my neighbor's house.

I was going to talk to them about something (can't remember what) when I realized they had company over for dinner, and turned back into my yard. I was finishing my smoke when I noticed an orange/red light in the sky in a south southwest direction.

It caught my eye because it wasn't blinking like a plane. (Oh by the way it was night time). Instead it would blink every second, but every time it would light up again it was somewhere completely different in  the sky, appearing a large distance from where it first disappeared (blinked).

This happened 4 times. The first 3 moving downwards, but the last time in a 90 degree angle to the right. This thing covered alot of sky in a short time and seemed to be far away. I've seen countless planes, helicopters,  blimps etc. But nothing that ever moved that fast.

Is this similar to what you saw?

Large Black Strange Charcoal Floating Object Spotted In The Sky Over Toronto Ontario

Date:  October 25, 2013
Time:  1:00 p.m.

Hi, today around maybe 1:00 p.m.  I was on Carlton Street near Sherbourne Street, looking SE, when I saw this large black floating rock type thing. I don't know how else to explain it.

It was quite far ,but I could tell it was large and it was just slowly moving away to the SE.

It wasn't waving around or darting about like a tarp or garbage bag, it was solid and just drifting.

I went in to grab camera, but I could not spot it again when I came out. I was so pissed. I describe it as a huge piece if charcoal, that's what it looked like.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Gigantic UFO Twice The Size Of A Football Field Seen In The Sky Over Toronto Ontatio (Audio/Photo Reports/Diagrams)

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files)

This interview I did with the fellow was a real pleasure. Also he certainly explained what an amazing UFO sighting he had back in the 1980’s.

We both are still looking for others who would have seen this to write to me, Brian at sighting@telus.net with as much detailed information as possible, plus any diagrams you could provide. I certainly will let him know what comes in.

Date: Winter of 1980, January perhaps.
Time: Evening.

Brian Vike's, The Vike Factor Note: Along with this report below, you will see the UFO reporting form which was written up by a UFO investigator years ago.

Also two of the original diagrams the eyewitness provided to the investigator, also two new diagrams in which the eyewitness drew up recently for Brian Vike.

Also you will notice that Brian Vike has left the eyewitnesses name in the reporting form, I asked the witness if I should remove it, and he said it was fine to leave his name in, but I did remove his address and phone number which you will note on the reporting form.

"Dozens of Mississauga residents reported a UFO as big as a football field!" I don't recall the whole article.

I'll never doubt myself again no matter how much ridicule I'll be subjected to. After about 27 years, I just had to let this out.

If anyone has witnessed the UFO/Object, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

UFO Captured On Film While Witness Observes Jupiter From Toronto Ontario (Picture)

Date:  October 25, 2012
Time:  9:56 p.m.

I was trying to get a photo of Jupiter, as through my binoculars I could see the moons orbiting around it.

I pulled out my camera, attached it to the tripod and took a photo. Saw a weird bar in the photo so I took it again without moving the tripod.

This time the bar had moved. We went inside to download it onto the computer so we could zoom in more, and sure enough we had a photo of what looked like flatten DNA flying through the sky!

Photo Left: For larger view, please click on the picture.

So strange. I have written a few times before in regard to the Fireballs over the lake.

This I wasn't expecting to see. Photos to come.

This happened at 9:56 p.m. on October 25th 2012 in Toronto Ontario, in the water in Lake Ontario in front of Bluffer's Beach.

Brian, please email me back and let me know if it worked... and what you think it is.

My brother's convinced it's a satellite. I'm not so convinced with all the ORB action we have in front of us.

Photo Left: For larger view, please click on the picture.

Additional Information:

My photo was taken on a tripod with a remote control timer, so there shouldn't be too much shake.

That being said, I think the exposure was about 5-7 seconds.

This craft wasn't too far from our orb location, which I honestly believe is an underwater base.

I know that sounds crazy, but I've seen too much weird stuff happening in the exact same spot over the year.
Let me know if you get any feedback.

Two Bright Lights Moving Sporadically Over Toronto Ontario

Date:  April 18, 2012
Time:  Evening.

Hello Mr. Vike, I was leaving my home around Greenbelt and Don Mills when I saw two bright lights moving at a strange angle in the sky.

They then began to move in sporadic ways, unlike that of a plane. They were also moving very low to the ground to be any sort of commercial craft. I was with my sister and we both noticed the strange UFO- ness of these crafts.

They had blinking lights and the craft itself was almost elongated like that of a jet, but with larger wing spans. I read your post after Googling UFOs in Don Mills and Lawrence.

I was just wondering if you had anymore insight upon these matters because it really tripped me out. Thanks.

Bright Orange Lights Over Lake Ontario North Towards Toronto

Date:  March 25, 2012
Time:  8:45 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: Up to 4.
Shape of Objects: Bright orange lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My son first notice from his bedroom window looking north over Lake Ontario large bright lights stationary staying for quite sometime.

Then they slowly started fading out then coming back just as bright. Then some would show up in another area of the sky, all the while obvious planes were flying around them and these lights did not move.

I was witnessing the same thing as my son, we had two sets of binoculars watching these perfectly round bright orange orbs.  I didn't quite know what to make of the whole thing.

They finally stopped after 9:00 p.m.  Just to add that they were quite large as well, much larger then the passing planes in the same area of the sky. Thank you, I hope someone else saw the same.

Orange Colored Fireball Broke Into 3 Pieces Over Toronto Ontario

Date:  November 2011
Time:  6:00 p.m.

I saw something similar, but was in November and was when we had a meteor shower, and I was told it was a meteor, but when I saw it, it was right over my head.

It looked like in our atmosphere and it was the brightest thing I ever seen in sky.

It was an orange fireball and broke into 3 pieces and it just went out.

I saw it about 5 to 6 second, its was slow moving and came from west to the east. The time was 6:00 p.m. eastern time. I saw it near the Toronto airport, but I knew for a fact, it was not an airplane.

Bright Orange Ball Of Light Seen From Toronto Ontario

Date:  January 21, 2012
Time:  Between 9:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Vike Factor Note: I was not the person who saw an orange object as the witness thinks, it would have been someone else who had a similar sighting.

Hi Brian, my name is (name removed) I live in Toronto, Ontario. On January 21st 2012, anywhere between 9:30-10:30 pm.

I was outside a friends place who lives at Place Pier which is down by lake Ontario. Anyhow I was outside when this bright orange ball (which is how I describe it) at first I thought it was a plane on fire from the island airport.

It is called the Porter Airport, but the ball kept coming from the SE and travelled to the NW where it just stayed there and got smaller and smaller until it was gone. It was like it just burnt out. Just a FYI, I did call all the people at the dinner party and two people came out.

The first one saw the orange ball on fire moving and the second person saw as it came to a stop and faded away. I have seen many things in the sky, some explainable and some not, but this is the most puzzling. I thought at first a plane, or maybe something they were dropping, or a meteor, but that already came at the beginning of January.

My last thought is some government test because that is always possible, but like I said I am very confused about this orange ball, and since you seen the same thing I am emailing you. Thanks for your time

Bright Object Seen In Daytime Over Toronto Ontario

Date:  February 15, 2009
Time:  1:00 p.m.

Hi all, I also saw this light in sky in Toronto, Canada at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday February 15, 2009. It was so bright and would sort of flash. It was not a steady light. I watched it for a full five minutes and it did not move at all in the sky.

I have never seen anything this bright in sky in the middle of the afternoon that did not move.

After reading other entries I feel that a few people have also observed this Light/Object over the past few days. I would like to share thoughts as to what it might be so if you have also observed this please call me at, (Phone number removed).
