Base Police Rousted Out Around 10 Military Personal At Loring AFB UFO Incident

Date:  Winter 1971/1972

Loring AFB UFO incident. I was stationed at Loring 1971-1975. During my first year in the winter of '71/'72 I and about ten others were rousted out of our bunks by base police and driven to what was then referred to as East Base.

This was the area where the nukes were stored. We entered the secure area and proceeded to the perimeter fence that had been damaged.

The above picture/map shows the lay out of the Loring AFB.

We were given snowshoes and fencing pliers. An area of about 100 feet diameter had been smashed down along with a portion of fencing.

We put on the snowshoes and tried to navigate the deep snow. None of us had ever used snowshoes before. After some time, we finally got the fence repaired and were taken back to our barracks.

We were told not to talk about this to anyone, ever. True story.

If anyone has witnessed the UFO on the date and time, and location, would you please send me an email with details of what you saw, please remember to include the date and time of the incident. I have received a number of reports from military personnel over the years.

UFO Incident Kitimat British Columbia

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Re-posted by Brian.

Date: 1967

Brian, are you aware of the 1967 so called UFO incident in Kitimat? I was involved in this incident during the winter of that year.

Me and a few friends were walking on the outskirts of Kitimat one snowy dark evening when we heard a strange beeping noise out in the bush. Within a half an hour a large group of local residents gathered along with us to listen to this electronic beeping noise.

Shortly thereafter, the RCMP showed up and formed about 12 of us into 2 groups. Each group was to walk along one side of this ravine that went into the bush towards this blue light. It was the dead of winter and there was alot of snow in the bush.

I was with one of those groups accompanied by an RCMP officer. There was a blue glowing light off in the bush along with this electronic beeping noise.

After about 20 minutes, we heard 4 or 5 gunshots, and our RCMP officer told us all to get out of the bush. When we got back to the road, the other group that had traversed the other side of the ravine was already out on the road.

Everyone in that group was very scared and apparently, the RCMP officer in that group shot into a tree at "something?" They all saw something in the tree, but no-one wanted to talk about it! This RCMP officer was as white as a sheet and saw something in the tree apparently with the rest of them and felt compelled to shoot at it?

Well, before one knew it, there were electronic and UFO experts coming to Kitimat from all over the world. The beeping noise continued for many weeks and the electronic experts from Vancouver stated that it was an electronic source of some sort.

The local Natives just laughed and stated that the beeping noise was a rare Owl. They could not however explain the blue glowing light out in the bush that night. It was what we were trying to see when our two groups went into the bush.

Have you heard of this story?

1970 UFO Incident Aboard Navy Ship - Bay Of Biscay Experience (Pictures/Graphics)

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files)

Vike, being a retired art teacher, living in western Ohio, I am far removed from the events on the Bay of Biscay in 1970.

Yet the feelings I acquired then seem like they started yesterday.

The illustration comes very close to what appeared to me. Thank you.

Bay of Biscay Experience 1970

Amidships on a Destroyer there is low, flat, open space. The picture below shows, from an archive photo, the USS Dyess (DD-880). It was aboard this small craft that an incident occurred which will haunt me for the rest of my life.

From the front (bow), going toward the rear, there are two gun turrets. Behind those is a big complex of two towers, called the superstructure.

Immediately after that is a low, dark, sunken area. On that night in July, 1970, I sat alone above it on a set of steps, so that I was looking forward in the direction of the superstructure.

I couldn’t believe that I had this beautiful scene all to myself. Billions of stars and a brilliant full moon illuminated the calm, smooth ocean’s surface.

This setting was further enhanced by the balmy temperature. The absence of my shipmates was, at first, no concern.

Soon, however, I was confronted with something that would send me inside the nearest hatchway for cover.

The next page shows where the whole thing happened.

Caption for picture above: USS Dyess (DD-180) ~ Black arrow indicates location of occurrence.

Caption for map left/below: Position of ship near the West Coast of France as shown by black rectangle.

The first sensation was that of being frozen in time. I was relaxed, yet found I was unable to move.

Then there suddenly appeared on the deck below me, about twenty feet away, a glowing, truly luminous cloud.

It was silent and its edges were yellow-green wisps. Spherical in form and not solid, but gaseous, it swirled inside as it hovered above the steel-plated deck. In my dreamlike state I lost track of the minutes.

The neon blue-green apparition had materialized in an instant, but then began slowly to transform, and darken, as it shrank down from twelve feet in diameter. While doing so, its semi-transparent nature thickened and the edges became well-defined.

Any haziness was replaced by a strange figure, human in size. The deep cyan vision had a full body, head, arms, legs, hands and feet, while it began to dance about joyfully.

A performance that seems like it was yesterday, I recall it with trepidation now, forty-two years later.

What began without warning vanished just as quickly, leaving me alone and mystified.

Image right: Left is an illustration of the situation as it appeared.

Although reconstructed more than four decades after the event, to me this is of no concern, because the memory is as fresh as last night.

Although I did move inside after experiencing this, it was not due to fear.

Actually, the contact gave me a feeling of comfort and knowing.

Major UFO Incident Witnessed By Ex Marine In The Sky SE From Chaska Minnesota (Objects And Sky Lit Up – Pictures)

Date:  March 25, 2012
Time:  Began at 10:45 p.m. and ended just after 3:30 a.m.

Brian, the incident I observed began at 10:45 p.m. and ended just after 3:30 a.m. on 25 March 2012.

I was talking with someone on the phone and walked out front when I saw a very prominent glowing ring of light in the sky to the SE from Chaska MN. I estimate it was about 10k/feet in altitude close to a mile in diameter and about 4 miles away from my position.

There was a light cloud cover and no ambient light other than streetlights. It had a bluish white color and upon closer inspection clearly had several balls of light evenly spaced throughout the ring at that time I had counted 6.

Left Photo Number 1: Click on picture to view larger. Also this is how I received this image.

I called my father out to take a look, and he gave me a camera so I took a few photos. After about 15 minutes the ring faded out to just a very light glow.

I assumed at that time the event had ended and went back inside to download the photos. 10 minutes later my dad told me it was back.

Sure enough, it was back and increased in brightness at one point getting so bright some of the balls of light were bright enough to resemble the intensity of a meteor.

Left Photo Number 1: Click on picture to view larger. Also, this is again picture number #1, all I did was to adjust the brightness/contrast so we were able to see what was in the picture.

This lasted for a few minutes then dimmed a bit. At that time I noticed another much larger ring had formed higher above the initial sighting.

Then again after 15-20 minutes the ring began to fade out (during the entire time a glowing halo was always visible in the cloud cover) and the balls were clearly moving slowly and steadily into random formations.

The upper ring now had split into 2 sets of 3 above the ring in a formation that resembles (    ) those objects then formed a semicircle and moved slowly around the area for a few minutes changing position and altitude.

Left Photo Number 2: Click on picture to view larger. Also this is how I received this image.

I walked a few blocks away trying to get better pictures, but my camera was having a difficult time as the brightness had dropped below the capabilities of my camera.

Several objects had moved farther away from the ring creating single glowing spots in the clouds and stayed without moving.

This activity continued until about 2:45 a.m. when the ring appeared to have moved within 2 miles of my position.

They then formed what I can only describe as a formation resembling a parachute which each ball of light had a beam extending towards the ground, which was obscured by trees and houses.

Left Photo Number #2: Click on picture to view larger. Also, this is again picture number #2, all I did was
to adjust the brightness/contrast so we were able to see what was in the picture.

My first thought was, "was I just duped by some elaborate ground light set up?" I quickly dismissed this as these beams had only been present for a short time and only lasted for maybe 15 minutes.

The ring reformed, glowed, and my last observation was at 3:30 a.m. when I went inside. At 3:39 a.m. I checked again and there was no longer anything in the sky.

At around 2:15 a.m. I heard a jet engine and observed a twin engine jet of low altitude flying parallel to me directly towards the objects. When it had closed distance to a point where I thought, "this will be interesting".

The aircraft made a very immediate 180 heading back in the direction it came for about 30 seconds, made a right turn for a minute then another right turn, clearly giving these objects a wide berth.

During times when they changed formation the brightness of the objects decreased significantly.

Also it any formation that was made, was dark in the center indicating to me it might be a bigger object, but I could not be certain. We had a light rain after the incident began and it had stopped before the event ended.

It did appear as though the clouds were disappearing in the path of their movement. I also came across a similar witness description from a town not far away from a few days ago.

I do have some more pictures I can send, but the quality isn’t that great (It’s really no joke that catching aerial phenomenon is rarely camera quality convenient.).

The Moscow halo UFO is a very close depiction of what the ring looked like, however it lacks the individual orbs. I hope this report has some value to you if you have further questions feel free to ask.

Briefly about me. I was a Navy corpsmen with the Marine corps for 6 years with 2 tours to Iraq. I am from San Diego, but I moved here in September to go to U of M.

I have never seen anything even close to what I observed last night.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Giant V Shaped UFO Fly's Over Campbell River British Columbia (Incident Changes Witnesses Life Forever)

Date:  May 9, 2011
Time:  2:10 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: V Shaped.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On Monday night of May 09, 2011 I was on my back deck looking up at the stars. I was looking in the east at first, then looking south.

Then when I looked up toward the southwest, I seen what I thought at first was a flock of snow geese flying in a huge V formation. I watched it move slowly, just below cloud level. I could see it was the bottom of some large aircraft of some sort.

As I watched in awe as it moved across the sky lighting the clouds up like a giant headlight of some sort, I looked back after 10 or 20 seconds where I first noticed it and then I could see the giant top part of the ship with low flashing lights flashing from side to side.

I could not believe what I was seeing, it slowly moved without making a sound and went behind some clouds, then out of sight.

This thing was massive, at least a mile long maybe 2. The width I can’t say for sure, it certainly was not a plane or helicopter, so what the hell did I see !

I want to no if anybody else seen it to, but I don’t no how to go about it. Someone must have seen it? It took up half the sky. This incident has totally changed my life. There truly is some other life form out there. I now go outside at night with my wife and my camera, hoping it comes back so I can get some pictures.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

The RCMP And Media Involved In A Major UFO Incident Over Newfoundland Canada

From the Vike Factor archives (Brian Vike) http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

Audio interviews are not been added to this report as I have no where to place the mp3 clips.

Brian Vike's, The Vike Factor Note: I have another report in audio on the site, please look in the audio section of the website. I will be placing more audio reports up there as well. Including the NTV news clip, in audio as well. Also a report will be added shortly with photos of one person's idea of what the person believes caused the event. This sighting by multiple witnesses is still unexplained.

Date: January 16, 2005
Time: 4:47 p.m.

On Sunday, January 16, 2005 in Valleyfield, Newfoundland on a clear day Jim and Rod Howell were traveling down the road when they spotted a diamond shaped object in the sky. The men pulled their vehicle over to the side of the road, got out and watched the unusual sight.

Jim said they observed the object for approximately 2 minuets, it was about 300 feet in altitude off the ground and moving slowly towards the northeast. Jim describes the object as being shaped like a diamond or an old fashioned box kite. It had blue and white coloring and it was black on it's bottom. The object measured roughly 15 feet in length and 8 feet across. There was no sound heard coming from the unknown object.

On Sunday, January 16, 2005 the object was seen in the community of Dover, Newfoundland and a week prior to this incident the same object was witnessed in Marystown, Newfoundland on January 12, 2005. What ever this thing is, it appeared to be making it's way north across the Island.

Brian Vike at The Vike Factor has been talking with Constable Vicki Colford from the RCMP detachment in Valleyfield, Newfoundland. She has been extremely helpful and is also looking for answers to the many reports that have been reported to her and myself.

Constable Vicki Colford also has contacted NAV Canada, Environment Canada, Search and Rescue for Newfoundland and the media told her about the US Department of Commerce National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration which were up from the United States and carrying out some testing in the area. All these agencies told the RCMP they had no aircraft flying in the areas on January 16, 2005.

Constable Vicki Colford also mentioned that NTV news interviewed Jim and Rod Howell and herself for the 6:00 p.m. television news which aired January 19, 2005. Also VOCM radio news Newfoundland ran the story and took calls from eyewitnesses on their nightly open line radio program on the same date as above.

The RCMP officer told me that possibly after the story had ran on the news they might receive reports from different areas across Newfoundland which may give a more accurate tracing of the direction the object traveled. She went on to say it was seen in Dover at approximately 3:30 p.m. and her location in Valleyfield at about 4:47 p.m. If the object did keep traveling along on it's straight flight path it would have traveled through Grander and beyond.

RCMP Constable Vicki Colford mentioned that Jim Howell knew right away the object wasn't an airplane, parachute or anything easily explained. Vicki Colford tells me she was stumped after she took the report and after receiving a number of reports from area residents she is still stumped as to what this thing is.

Constable Vicki Colford said 10 people in Valleyfield witnessed the object, two people saw it in Dover which is about an hours drive north from Valleyfield and Vicki Colford received a call from another RCMP Constable from Marystown who told her he took a call from a witness who observed the object in the Marystown area on Wednesday, January 12, 2005.

Below are some of the eyewitnesses reports.

Burin Peninsula, Newfoundland

Date: January 12, 2005
Time: 7:00 a.m.

A husband and wife of Grand Bank, Newfoundland witnessed an object around the Burin Peninsula area.
The couple were travelling to St. John's last Wednesday, when they saw the object near Red Harbour on the main Burin Peninsula Highway.

The retired Newfoundland Power employee, says they had just topped Red Harbour Hill about 15 kilometers north of Marystown around 7:00 a.m. Wednesday morning, January 12, 2005. They were heading North on the Main Highway when the object appeared from the east. The witness says they didn't see the object go off into the distance. He said it was there and then it was gone. Similar to the sighting in New-Wes-Valley.

The January 12, 2005 sighting has many similarities to the January 16, 2005 sighting in the area.

Mount Pearl, Newfoundland Round Ball Of Light

Date: January 12, 2005
Time: Approx. 5:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: round ball of light

Full Description of event/sighting: We just came back from sliding and I looked up and saw a round ball of light, it hovered for a few seconds then took off really fast and disappeared. It was too early to be a shooting star because it wasn't dark out and there were no other stars or street lights on.

Hello, the answers to your questions are the weather conditions were a clear night and some clouds in the sky with no wind. the UFO was located in the east and somewhere in-between. The entire event lasted about 5 seconds in total time observed. The appearance of the UFO is the shape was a round ball of light and I can't specially say how high it was and it had no sound what so ever.

Sandy Cove, Newfoundland

Date: January 16, 2005

Another reported sighting of an unidentified flying object on the island. A gentleman in Sandy Cove was with some friends when they saw, what they thought was a weather balloon on Sunday afternoon. He says the object rose through the sky, then descended into the tree line, eventually landing on the ground. He says a few minutes later the object took off into the sky again.

New-Wes-Valley, Newfoundland (Valleyfield)

Date: January 16, 2005
Time: 4:47 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: round

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I heard this fascinating story today from my neighbour and his son in-law. There names are Jim and Rod.

Yesterday Jim and Rod were driving home west of Valleyfield and through town when they noticed an object approaching from the southwest going northeast. It was around 4:47 p.m. and not quite dark. The object was very visible to the naked eye. It was moving at a fast rate of speed, from the right side of the vehicle and in front of the truck. The object was about 300 to 400 feet above ground. It was a round object, approximately 8 to 10 feet in diameter and about 15 feet high.

They described it as being like a huge "paint can", completely round. The color was a bluish/red and it was seen for about a minute or more. It passed in front of them. It flew over the water from the right and over a follows house. It then flew over a hill and down again and out of sight. There was no sound coming from it and no tail/trail following behind like a meteor would appear to have. There were absolutely no wings on it. They knew what they saw and when they arrived home they phoned the RCMP to report their sighting.

I was told today that the RCMP did go to the site where the incident took place and looked around. As far as I know there was nothing witness by the RCMP.

They have no explanation of who or what it was. To me its a classic UFO case.

This is a funny thing because my friend (name removed) who's Jims brother brought out our local paper for this week (The Gander Beacon) and there's a story of a UFO case that happened in March of last year. Coincidence, I guess you could call it. So, I've decided to send you this story and I'm sure you will want to follow it up. You can contact me by email or by phone. I am an avid reader of the UFO subject myself. I read all kinds of stories and I am fascinated by it all.

I'm sure if you made contact with other witnesses you will receive a detailed picture of what they saw. If you need someone to contact, please let me know as I'll be glad to help out. All the very best.

Thank you to everyone for their reports and help.

Audio interviews are not been added to this report as I have no where to place the mp3 clips.

You can listen to Brian Vike interviewing witnesses and RCMP's involment.

1967 Kitimat British Columbia UFO Incident (RCMP Officer Shoots At Unknown)

From the Vike Factor archives (Brian Vike) http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

UFO Incident At Moricetown British Columbia (Tracks Killed Vegetation)

A little history about Moricetown and it's kind people. Wet'suwet'en First Nation community is located north of the village of Smithers is called Moricetown, B.C. The Wet'suwet'en people (kyah wiget) is one of five native communities living near or on Hwy 16. The valley around Moricetown Canyon was once a traditional fishing ground visited by five clans of the area.

Fishing the Bulkley River was a big part of the Wet'suwet'en First Nation way of living. The clans would first meet in Telkwa in the spring, mainly to visit and celebrate their heritage. Then later the 13 houses would pack up the village and proceed to Moricetown for their summer fishing season.

Using gaff poles (spruce tree pole with a steel hook and bound by rope) the First Nation fisherman would wait patiently perched high above the river standing on exposed river boulders waiting to strike and hook the fish as they swim by underneath. Today, the First Nation still fish the river but use deep nets mostly.

In Moricetown, during the summer, the Wet'suwet'en First Nation people would erect smokehouses, drying racks and fish traps. The men would set out to catch fish while the women would hike up the mountain to collect herbs and medicines. After returning the women would start to preserve the catch. In the fall, after catching fish the focus of the hunt would shift to mountain goats, ptarmigan and caribou.

Once sufficient preparation was completed, the Wet'suwet'en people would hold various feasts celebrating the harvest. The general meeting of all the people was an opportunity for the chiefs to deal with clan business and for trading goods among houses.

The feasts would last for days and would be celebrated by many houses. Many feasts later the clans would start to return to their villages in preparation for winter - each clan's departure date depending on the length of the journey back to their village.

Once home the clan would work on their longhouses, stacking firewood, and finishing repairs so to securely store their food on stilts inside. During the winter the elders and their wives would prepare for next seasons hunt and children would learn about hunting while maintaining the longhouses.

Moricetown is located 30 km west of Smithers and 31 km east of Hazelton, BC on the main highway of the region known as Highway 16. Follow the signs. Cannot miss the community.

On Thursday, September 23, 2010 I received a telephone call from a lady who resides in Moricetown, British Columbia. She told me a story of what she and others discovered on some property off Fisherman road.

I thought when they mentioned tracks, that I would be running out to Moricetown over a Sasquatch experience, but after seeing "some" tracks, I concluded that this was no Sasquatch story, but rather something else very unusual.

I did leave my home here in Houston, B.C. on Friday, September 24, 2010 heading for Moricetown. When I arrived at the location, I was informed that the event had taken place on Tuesday, September 21, 2010.

Before I go on, I would like to state for the record that we had a rainfall warning up for our area, and it poured. It came down in buckets or as some say, it rained cats and dogs and by the time I left for home, I was soaked to the skin. When I got to the location the rain was already taking a large toll on collecting any of the evidence that was there prior to the rain storm. There also was a couple of nights of frost before the rain hit.

I arrived at the caller's home and introduced myself to the owners of the land. They were a wonderful couple to talk with, and were very helpful as they wanted an explanation as to what went on while they slept. I also met their daughter who telephoned me. There were others there as well, a good crowd had formed pretty quickly and were interested in seeing the tracks.

We all started walking from the house, and it was only about 20 feet or so before we saw a track with some damaged grass/weeds. I was able to see where the prints were heading which was in the direction to another smaller home on the property.

This would have been approximately 100 feet ahead of me. A woman came up on Tuesday, the day the tracks were discovered and she could clearly see where the unknown footprints walked into and through the tall grass. At this point, due to the rain, most of the evidence was lost, but you were still able to see slightly where the tracks led to.

The people also mentioned that the track went from the lawn over their graveled driveway, and in the driveway there was a good track to be seen. Again with the downpour and by the time I had arrived at my destination, the track was lost. But a lady who owned the property had the foresight to quickly cover up one of the tracks with a small piece of plywood.

I flipped over the plywood and was surprised at what I saw. There was a track which was approximately 16 inches in length and the width at the widest point (which was the front) was approximately 6 inches. You will notice in the track photo below, that the vegetation looks very different from the surrounding grasses. Many of the leaves looked like they were rotten. This is how all the vegetation looked like where there had been a track.

I eventually walked over to where I was told the tracks continued into the tall grass. I was not able to see any tracks, but I could distinguish where something had travelled. It was very noticeable. Also there was a huge area covered in tall thistles just feet after the long grass.

All of the thistles were standing upright and then I noticed something rather odd. In the middle of the upright thistles, there was a large area that looked like it had been flattened.

I measured the area where the thistles were lying down and this covered an area of 30 feet by 60 feet. It looked really strange as all of the thistles around this particular area were in fine shape and standing upright. The picture below shows the area which was damaged by something.

I will also add, which I believe is important. I took a lot of pictures of the area, the knocked down thistles from different angles and all I ended up with was one picture that I could post.

All the rest were so badly out of focus and I did not do anything to the digital camera. This would have been the first time this ever happened. So this is a little strange as well. I did take a close up photo of the thistle stalks, showing where they were bent. This photo seemed to turn out just fine as you will see below.

I do not know if there is any connection between the tracks and the thistles that were knocked down, but it seems strange that all this did happen at the same time. I asked the folks if there had been any strong winds in the area, and they said no.

One thing I have noticed, is all of a sudden there have been reports of unusual craft and strange lights. I am hearing of a number of other sightings where people were not comfortable enough talking about what they saw. Just over the last few nights here in Houston, British Columbia two witnesses reported seeing something similar. I have spoken to the two parties and whatever it was they witnessed is unbeknown to me.

A good friend called Lawrence brought a fellow over to my home, so he could fill me in on what he saw.

This is his taped sighting report: At approximately 8:50 p.m. on September 28, 2010 a fellow was outside when something caught his eye. Below a low ceiling of cloud he saw a very bright white ball of light which appeared to be moving around the sky.

As he put it, the thing was bouncing. He yelled out for his wife to come and look. Now both watched in amazement as the object rose up, way up and then as if someone dropped it, it fell towards the ground. It stopped, rose back up and carried on moving about. Eventually, it just moved off and disappeared from their sight.

A few days prior to the above sighting, another fellow watched pretty much the same thing from his home on Buck Flats Road. His description was just about the same.

Then in Smithers, British Columbia, folks witnessed a bright object in the night sky on August 20, 2010 making very strange maneuvers. Maneuvers a normal aircraft could not, and would not be able to do. It shone so brightly and when it wasn't moving around in the sky it sat hovering.

It would disappear and return again and it finally disappeared with a bright lit up cloud following. Both witness and neighbor stood frightened as they watched this event unfold in the sky.

At Smithers once again, a "T" shaped UFO was spinning in the sky. This taking place on August 31, 2010. Orange lights were seen circling the town and then disappearing. The witnesses tried following the UFOs towards Tyhee Lake, observing a large bright white object with an orange light on top. It moved so quickly they had no chance of catching up to it.

In Moricetown, approximately a week before the tracks were found, numerous lights were seen flying low over the area. People driving along Highway 16 heading east watched as lights moved behind the mountains and shot up over top and across the sky.

At Telkwa, British Columbia unusual lights were reported and in the Kispiox Valley and New Hazelton.

In 2002 and 2003 the Bulkley Valley here where all this is taking place and the Lakes District were the UFO capital of Canada. There were sightings coming in each and every day of some really odd craft. But after the 2002/2003 sightings, reports of anything strange in the sky, dropped off dramatically. In other words I was lucky to hear of a sighting until more recently.

Whatever happened at Moricetown on September 21, 2010 we may never solve, but one thing is for sure, something very unusual took place there. Tracks from something were left behind, and the prints killed the vegetation and a good sized area of thistles were blown/knocked down to the ground and it was not the wind according to the folks who own the property.

Knowing what this area is like, as I have lived up here for 29 years, I am going to have to place my money on a UFO related incident.

Major UFO Incident Over Newfoundland - The RCMP, And Media Involved

Audio interview mp3 at the end of this report.

You can listen to Brian Vike interviewing witnesses and RCMP's involment.

Witness Threatened Over Him Releasing Picture Of A UFO - 1976 Cannon AFB UFO Incident - Special Report (Photo)

By Brian Vike - The Vike Factor

Bruce, who works for a major media outlet, witnessed the objects, and the jet aircraft that pursued them, and who was fortunate to capture one of these objects on film.

A little background on Bruce around the time the incident took place: Bruce was working in the news department at Channel 3, the PBS station in Portales, New Mexico. In addition to working at the PBS station he held a couple of part time jobs with two of the local radio stations as well.

At that time money was an issue due to Bruce being a college student. Working at the different media outlets it was giving him the experience he needed for his upcoming career in Journalism. One of the overnight jobs Bruce had was in Clovis, New Mexico at KMTY FM 99.1 which was at that time one of the 100 thousand watt radio stations in the country.

First Night's Encounter With Unknown Objects:

On January 21, 1976 Bruce received a call from the radio station manager to see if he would mind working as the station was going to do some performance checks on the transmitter. Bruce would stay out at a remote location where some of the station's equipment was located. This is how Bruce ended up at the right time, and the right place, to see the events that were about to unfold in front of him in the skies above.

A side note to this story is that Bruce was also a storm spotter for West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. Bruce was given a small kit which held a pair of binoculars, a note pad and a bunch of telephone numbers that he could call if a storm was spotted coming through the area.

Bruce had spent alot of time at Cannon Airforce Base as he was in the civil air patrol. At that time his senior flight instructor had given him his primary flight lessons. Being on the base, and not in the military, Bruce had become friends with a lot of the base personnel. Since he worked at one of the local radio stations he would play requests that were called in from the base security and night maintenance. He got to know them all very well.

Below Photo: Front gate to the Cannon AFB, New Mexico.

Bruce mentioned that Cannon was located between the University of Portales and Clovis and it was common to see the F-111's and Aardvarks taking off from the base with full afterburners carrying out nighttime flight operations.

Bruce arrived and was sitting in his truck at the location of the transmitter. While waiting for the phone to ring in the transmitter shack he noticed a number of pin-point lights popping up in the sky which appeared to look like light-bulbs on a string. Two of them dropped downward until they reached a lower altitude, stopped and hovered. The lights were seen between his location and the Airforce Base at this time.

While watching these strange objects Bruce grabbed the pair of binoculars he had with him. He describes the two lower lights as the classic saucer shaped craft and they had a bluish glow to them with a red radiant glow on the bottom side of the craft. A small dome shape could easily be seen at the top of each of the two objects.

In his estimation he believes the objects may have been at least 30 to 50 in diameter. The two objects were hovering parallel to one another and then started to move off at a slow rate of speed in perfect formation heading towards the Airforce base. Bruce said he followed them with his binoculars for approximately 15 minutes.

The objects flew past a number of buildings which were at the edge of the base and they proceeded to climb in altitude as to where they again looked like a small light in the clear night sky. Bruce said it looked as if the lights on, and in, the buildings were dimming due to the objects being in close proximity. Later after talking to base personnel, this proved to be true, the lights had dimmed, and the objects were noticed by the base personnel.

Bruce usually carried a small camera with him but on this day he had not brought it with him.

Bruce called the station as he was excited to talk about what he had just witnessed. Some of the other people at the station had also been watching the events unfold that night. Through Channel 3's connections they heard that the objects were widely seen by many that night and by the state police. An article was written on the objects seen that January.

Second Night's Encounter With Unknown Objects:

The next evening Bruce had gathered together a few people from the newsroom. Since Bruce was staying in a dorm on campus he knew a good number of folks on campus. He was able to get the keys for the door to the roof so Bruce and his friends could sit up on top of the building's roof to watch the skies just in case something should return. Although a cool night the group stood watching. This time Bruce did bring the camera.

At approximately 12:45 a.m. four objects dropped down from the night sky and started darting around. (This is where Bruce was finally able to capture an image of one of the crafts on black and white film.) As the people observed the objects, the Airforce Base had scrambled the F-111's jet fighters out of Cannon.

Below Photo: Bruce was able to capture a photo of one of the UFO's.

The jet aircraft began trying to intercept the objects. As the aircraft got close to the vicinity of the unknown objects, the objects, at an incredible rate of speed, would shoot across the sky making 90 degree turns leaving the fighter aircraft trailing way behind as they just weren't able to keep up with the strange craft. As the objects made unusual turns a plasma type glow could clearly be witnessed by the group of people watching the event.

The cat and mouse chase between the objects and jets went on for approximately 45 minutes. Because the witnesses were on one of the tallest buildings in Portales, New Mexico, they could clearly see the flight-line at the Base. One of the men had brought a 150 power telescope which enabled the fellows to see the objects fly at a low altitude over the flight-line. As the objects passed over the lights running down the flight line, all the lights went out.

Eventually the objects shot up and were gone in a second, or so, and the F-111's were recalled back to the Base and landed safely.

Bruce told me that a couple days after the second night sighting of the objects a couple of the Base security personnel had called and explained how the lights went out over the entire base. Of course, Bruce was asking a lot of questions at this point.

The security officer from the Base told Bruce that everyone at the Cannon AFB were freaking out as they did not know what these objects were. Also the security officer said that the Cannon base was bringing in new light towers from a SAC base in North Dakota to place on the flight line.
The security officer told Bruce to keep an eye on the base as it would be really lit up after the new lighting was installed. A few days later the AFB was lit up brightly. Bruce talked to another military man from the base who said that the base had radar tape of the objects from both nights but certainly did not want Bruce to mention where the information came from.

Because there were others who were there who witnessed the events that took place over the Cannon Airforce Base I will be attempting to contact these witnesses to gather their reports on the event. One other important bit of information to this case is that there is a Freedom Of Information Act document to say that jet aircraft were scrambled out of the Cannon Airforce Base that evening in 1976.

Although there has been no explanation as to why, this still gives us a valuable clue that something very unusual took place that night.

Below Photo: Aerial picture of the Cannon AFB.

Update: After Bruce went public with his story on the Jeff Rense national radio program, he and his family were threatened.

Bruce called me on July 20, 2004, after he appeared on the Jeff Rense radio program with me on Friday - July 16, 2004, when he told what he saw over the Cannon Airforce Base back in January 21, 1976. Bruce told me on the air that he had taken a black and white photograph of one of the objects that had been observed out-maneuvering the jet aircraft which were scrambled from the Cannon AFB. On July 20, 2004 at approximately 1:30 a.m. Bruce had a disturbing telephone call from an unknown person and the report on this is below.

Bruce wanted to point out to me that he does carry two cell phones with him at all times. One is for business, etc.. and the other is for personal business to keep in contact with family and close friends. He stated that no one had his private cell number as it was not listed and the only people that had this number were his wife, children, and some close friends. His children are grown up and now living on their own.

Bruce kept his cell phones on the night table. His work phone turned off, but the private phone turned on, just in case one of his children might need to contact him in case of an emergency.

As I mentioned above, it was around 1:30 a.m., Bruce and his wife had turned in for the night and were sound asleep when his cell phone started ringing. Knowing that he had his work cell phone turned off he knew it was a call from one of his children, and of course being a parent, he worried as he grabbed for the phone. Bruce answered with a hello and a voice spoke back saying,
"Mr. Bruce (last name). Bruce said there was a very professional sounding gentleman on the other end. The man said he needed to talk to him about a matter of utmost urgency! Bruce still half asleep asked the man who he was, what was this call was all about, especially at this hour of the morning. The fellow said this is about your recent radio appearance and discussion about some photographs that you took back in New Mexico.

At this point in the conversation Bruce said to the man,"you have to be kidding me," thinking this had to be some kind of hoax, asked who was this. The man said there is no need for you to know who I am. He went on to say, "it would be in your best interest to discontinue this line of discussion and do away with those photographs. Destroy them!"

Bruce at this point is in shock about this man. He looks on the cell phone to see what phone number is displayed and it shows "number not available". The man told Bruce that "this is no joke and 'we' feel that this would be in your best interest, and for the sake of your family, that all of this go away."

Bruce told the man that if he wasn't willing to reveal himself then the conversation would be terminated. The man then went on to tell Bruce what his children were involved in, meaning their daily activities, where they lived, etc.., what Bruce's wife was doing, such as personal activities within the family, etc... and said that he could fax Bruce his life's history within a few seconds. That was it, Bruce hung up and that ended the call with the stranger.

After this incident took place and some weeks had gone by, a neighbor of Bruce's caught up with him outside one day and told him that they had been seeing alot of traffic in and out of Bruce's property. Cars would pull up and stay for a while and then drive off. Other times the cars would pull into the driveway, stop, and men would get out and walk around the home. Then they got back into their cars and drove off. These cars that were coming and going had government license plates on them.

One other interesting fact to this story is that Bruce put together a package for me, Jeff Rense, George Filer and Peter Davenport. In this package there was a copy of the photo he had taken over the AFB. Bruce mailed out the packages to us all and not one of us have received the information. Bruce says he is going to try again and send it through a different means. I hope once I receive the material I can update this story.

So that is where this story stands right now.

I would like to extend my many thanks to Bruce for coming forward with his story.
You can listen to Brian Vike interview Bruce when he speaks about being threatened about the fuzzy photo of a UFO.

Loring AFB UFO Incident - A Senior NCO Speaks Out

Brian Vike's, The Vike Factor Note: I really do appreciate the information that I have received from ex-serviceman over the Loring AFB UFO Incident. This gentleman heard a muffled noise around the time the unknown would have been over the base. Although he had not witnessed the unknowns, he certainly heard about it the next morning.

I can't stress enough how important having people who may have some knowledge about the incident write to me with what they know. Who know, maybe one day we can find the answer to what this was flying in the sky's around the AFB.

Brian: I read your piece on Rense.com about the 'Loring AFB UFO Incident' during late 1975. I was a senior NCO stationed there at the time. My family and I had recently arrived at Loring from overseas. We lived in the officers' section of base housing on Foulois Drive.

I remember the incident very well because of two things: I was assigned to the 42nd Munitions Maintenance Squadron and my birthday was near the end of October! At any rate, the 42nd MMS was the activity that maintained the weapons storage areas for both conventional and nuclear munitions. I can't stress this fact too strongly - the nuclear WSA was at a location called East Loring which was about five miles from the main base. In Loring's heyday, East Loring was an annex of the base but by the 70s and later it was largely abandoned except for the WSA.

Below Photo: Loring AFB.

One night, very late, if my memory serves me, around 0030 or 0100, I heard a hell of a racket. That of a chopper without muffler, moving rapidly and I don't know from which direction and I did not see it but I do know the muffled sound of a chopper's rotor blades - this thing was on steroids and moving fast. This is the part that I can't verify but I do NOT believe Loring had any helicopters assigned to the base. To the best of my knowledge, all they had were the B-52s and KC-135s assigned to the 42nd Bomb Wing and two F-106 Delta Darts there as fighter protection (a fighter squadron detachment). At any rate, it didn't take me long to go back to sleep but I did go outside and take a look to see if I could spot anything. I did not but recall it was VERY cold at the time, but no snow yet. The aircraft sounded like a flying Harley Hog, it was so loud. I do not believe a UFO would be heard!

The next morning when I went in to work at MMS one of my friends asked me if I had heard about the 'UFO' that had been spotted over WSA. I said no, but that I had heard a chopper go over base housing at about the same time.

I have always had a theory about this incident but could never find anyone else who thought the same - or just would not say. I do NOT believe that this was a UFO, that it was a Soviet chopper that had flown in from a sub or trawler parked off the North Atlantic coast. I believe it was probing our defenses, circled around a while, and left. I think the brass knew this but felt that if it was revealed, it would be a big embarrassment.

Just my thoughts but after all this time, hard to prove.

Thank you to the gentleman for his report. Very interesting to get this information.

Military Serviceman Stationed At Loring AFB Recalls UFO Incident

Date: October 1975

Your mom can probably tell you more about the incident at Loring. I may have a newspaper clipping somewhere about it. When I get time to dig around in the boxes on the porch I'll send a copy if I find it. All I remember is air traffic control got some blips on radar that were not our planes, and could not identify who or what they were. Then bright lights, I think, buzzed the runway at very low altitude and disappeared. The official explanation was they were probably Canadian helicopters, but everyone I talked to said "no way", but would not talk about it in detail. I worked in aircraft debriefing at the time so had fairly close contact with people in air traffic control. They were a bit freaked out by the incident. You may do web searches of Limestone and Caribou news papers if they are available.

Thank you to the gentleman for his report.

The Lorings AFB UFO Incident Of 1975 - Looking For Answers

Brian Vike, The Vike Factor: The lady in question over this event that took place at the Loring's AFB in 1975 is having her mother give her the details on everything that took place at the base. She will be sending the information along to me once it is written up. But in the mean time, the lady and I are looking for any others who were at the base at the time of this UFO incident. If you have any knowledge of this event, would you please contact Brian at The Vike Factor: v_factor_paranormal@live.com

Message: Hi, I was searching through the 1970s sighting page and was wondering if you ever heard of "The Loring's Incident" ? My father was stationed at Loring AFB in 1975 in Limestone, Maine. There is a wonderful account of UFOs hovering around the base. Not to mention they were within hundreds of feet from the nuclear weapons site. Every site I go to never has the story and was wondering if you could post it up on your site. Thanks.

Additional Information:

Below Photo: The Loring AFB.

I was born December 1974 in Limestone, Maine at Loring Air Force base. My family lived in base housing during the incident. During the alert, no one was aloud on or off the base, and lights were to be off after sunset in every house. My father won't ever talk about the incident, but my mother remembers everything! Here is what I found on the net. Although I've heard this story from my family all my life. This story is on alot of various sites. The base is no longer operating. I just talked to my mother, she was there when it happened, she says it's all in Freedom of Information. I could very well get a great story from her as a witness. But, I felt the best information I could give you was from a more informational source with more details. I've been wondering almost all my life if there is anyone out here that may have been there at the time. You are the first person I have contacted online about this. I figured with all the people that are here in the group, some one might have heard of it. It's been puzzling me. My mother and I have so many questions.

Thank you to the lady for contacting me.
