White Blue Object Burns Out In The Sky Over West Houston Texas

Date:  January 26, 2012
Time:  5:45 p.m.

Mr. Vike, at approximately 5:45 p.m. this evening (1/26/12) I saw what looked to be a meteor/shooting star fall to the northern direction of me. I was surprised how bright it was (seemed white/light blue to me), and was one of the larger ones I have seen.

It looked as if it burned out before it reached the top of my "visibility line". It was falling at probably a 20-30 degree angle. I am in the Memorial area of West Houston. I just spotted another (much smaller in size) at approximately 1:10 a.m. It was in the same general area of the sky, but burned out much more quickly this time.

It looked as if it was much further away as well. You are the only person on the web I found so far that posted a "sighting" similar to what I saw. Hope this helps and feel free to email with any questions or information.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Large White Sphere UFO Darts In And Out Of The Clouds Over Richmond Indiana

Date:  June 2011 (?)
Time:  4:40 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Sphere.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I just got off of work and was driving home, for some reason I looked left out the window. I saw a large sphere, completely white, so I had to assume it was a sphere.

It was really sunny and windy with a moderate amount of clouds. The clouds were moving west, and this object was moving in the other direction, away from the clouds. I pulled my car over and off the road and stopped to looked at it.

About 5 minutes it changed direction and went back into the clouds, then moved back out in view again then went back in the clouds. I then drove home, a ten minute drive. I called my mother to tell her.

As I was talking to her I went out to the backyard, my kids followed me, and as I looking towards the area I first saw it, it moved out of the clouds! Myself and my kids saw it! Then it moved into the clouds again and ! I never saw it again.

This is not the only case I've had. My ex-wife and I were sitting in the backyard, it was night time, all the stars were visible with no clouds what-so-ever.

Something moved across the sky, silently, blocked the view stars. Whatever it was it was large and long, as if it was a sea-going ship.

It was directly overhead and took about 10 minutes to traverse the sky. It had no lights, and the only way you could see it was the outline because it blocked the stars!
The air seemed to have a smell, like ozone when electricity arcs.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Object Comes Out Of A Hovering UFO Over Ridgeway Ontario

Date: March 1, 2011
Time: 11:45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Sphere.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: First witnessed a very bright glowing object which appeared to be a meteor. Being familiar with the area and knowing that there are many planes flying around it was very evident that it was not a normal plane. The object came very close to the vehicle, me and a friend were in before stopping and hovering in place.

The object emitted a bright white light, but also 3-4 other colours which weren't as bright. After hovering for about a minute, the object sent down another object which appeared to come out of it. The object was blue and visibly smaller and a much duller light than the original object. The second blue object was sent down at a perfect diagonal to the original ship.

After the blue object had been sent down a certain ways the original bright object made a sudden movement which it had not made before and disappeared. I cannot say where the blue object went as I was trying to see where the original bright object was heading.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Soundings - UFOs Over Thompson: The Truth Is Out There

January 12, 2011
John Barker

Some stories just seem to always strike a chord with readers. Near the top of the list has to be UFO stories. Readers (not to mention journalists) find them irresistible. So when Kimberly Wavey sent us an e-mail during the early hours of Boxing Day saying she saw "three unexplained reddish orange lights in a triangle" Christmas Eve at 7:47 p.m. in the night sky over Thompson, it was like manna falling from heaven during an otherwise slow news week between Christmas and New Years.

Lights Coming And Going Out Of Mile Long UFO Over Whistler British Columbia

Date: September 14, 2010
Time: Evening.

Location of Sighting: Whistler British Columbia.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Oval.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My girlfriend and I were sat on the deck looking at the stars, there were barely any clouds that night. She saw a glowing green/blue oval object almost straight above us. It seemed extremely high, above the cloud height, more at airplane cruising altitude. It glowed like anything glow-in-the-dark would, but this must have been a mile long at least.

The glowing flickered now and again, and some times disappeared altogether. After 5 minutes we noticed it seemed to be moving slowly SW (slower than a plane would move across the sky), and a small light exited out of the object, smaller than a star, but still just visible and flew downwards left then right and disappeared behind a mountain to the north of us.

Another couple of times lights either emerged or returned back to the main glowing object, which curiously enough, at this point it only lit up when one of the smaller lights left it or returned to it, then faded out again to black.

It lasted about 20 minutes altogether, I can't explain it, it looked like a zeppelin, but glowed strangely and was far to big at that altitude, and the lights coming out of it moved too quick for it to be any plane or flying manmade object.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

A Different Evening Out (UFO)

by Angie Mindus
The Williams Lake Tribune

For Tony Kunka and his wife, the evening began no differently than any other. The couple were driving out to a trailer Tony stayed in just off the Mackin Creek Road.

Tony, a feller buncher operator who has logged in the area since 1977, often worked through the night in the secluded area. It would prove to be an evening, and a drive, they would never forget.
"It was so close (to the ground), it lit up the tree tops, Tony said as he began describing an unexplainable light they encountered. He said the object was a mute, square blue light with a line down the center. "It looked like a window." The light appeared approximately a half a mile away from their vehicle while they were travelling down the road. At first, he said, the light didn't scare him. But when it began to follow their vehicle, he became more concerned.

Below Diagram: Sketch of Sighting.

"It looked like it was interested in something.... I was a little scared because it's so out of the ordinary." After five minutes of the light staying along side the truck, Tony said, it started getting smaller and smaller until it turned into a little light, "streaked across the sky" and vanished.

This was Tony's first encounter with an unidentified flying object. It occurred 12 to 15 years ago, and since then, he has seen dozens of peculiar bright lights close by in the sky while working nightshifts. "Since (the first sighting) I have always watched the sky." Watching the night skies over the years finally paid off for Tony, with another, more detailed, close encounter in the fall of 1993.

Tony was working in the Mackin Creek area again when he spotted something unusual, but this time it was early enough in the evening to still be daylight. "When I first noticed it, it was hovering in the sky." Tony stopped working and took notice. The object was sandy/grey in color, shaped like a disc, and again, made no sound. But there was something else, even more unusual. "Flames would shoot out of the bottom of it."

Tony said the flames came shooting out from the bottom, center of the craft and wrapped around the sides for about two seconds. After that, he said, the flames would turn solid for another second, and then, no flames at all. It repeated this pattern three to four times before it settled down between the trees in the valley and went out of sight. The incident occurred 93km from Williams Lake on the Mackin Creek Road.

Tony said he is sure of what he saw but has rarely talked about the incidents. "I don't really talk about it, you know how people are about UFO's. They'll say I've been out in the bush for too long."

Artillery Takes Out Landed UFO At Da Nang, RVN - Happy Valley In 1966

Date: Between February and July of 1966
Time: 2:00 - 4:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Da Nang, RVN - Happy Valley.
Number of witnesses: Unknown.
Number of Objects: Believed to be 1
Shape of Objects: Unknown.

Brian Vike's, The Vike Factor Note: If anyone else who served at this time and in this area and have any information about this event, please do contact Brian Vike, The Vike Factor at with a detailed report. Thank you.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Radar track from Danang, and Aerial observer. Taken out by Artillery fire. More info if you are interested. Did not get any TDA following the counter fire.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I am guessing you are in British Columbia, or the Pacific Northwest. Quite a bit out of my normal travel area. Anyway, it is still good to hear from you and to learn of your organization.

I was in the US Marine Corps, and served in the SE Asia area during 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, and 1969. It was during my 1965-66 tour that we were located to the northeast of Da Nang, and I was in an Artillery Fire Direction Center (FDC). We controlled close to 100 Field Artillery pieces in the Da Nang area, and could bring about 500 rounds onto one football field sized spot in about 3 minutes.

Below Photo: Map of Vietnam.

I have had some injuries from auto crashes since then and do not remember just when the incident occurred, but it was between February and July of 1966. I was on the late night shift and we got a call from the air base that a UFO had come in and landed at a set of coordinates generated by the GCA Radar. These plotted out in an area that we referred to as "Happy Valley." The IFF response had been un heeded and the radar and visual tracking from an airborne craft in the area did not match any known aircraft. Since we were close to the DMZ, no one wanted to take any chances and we were given clearance to fire all available artillery on it. We had about 70+ pieces that could range the target so we plotted a time on target mission and fired 6 rounds per piece on the target.

The GCA radar kept watch on the area and the observer stayed a safe distance out of the lines of fire. We got the usual artillery bursts and at the end of the barrage there was a huge flash that registered on the GCA radar. The air observer reported that nothing had left the area, and it was too dark to look for damage until sunup. We filed the fire mission request and record of fire with the other log sheets and had been advised that a ground crew was going in for TDA at first light. When we came on shift 2 days later we looked for the record of fire sheet to see what the ground crew had found.

We were amazed to find that the entire set of records for that mission had vanished. No one would admit to being told to pull it and we never did find out what we had hit other than the initial comments that had come back to us while we were firing on the target. I still have no clue what we shot. It was big and got a lot of people excited. No other sightings were reported in our area that I heard about before I left in August of 1966. This has always been a puzzling experience, wandering around in the back of my mind. I have often wondered if we had in deed taken out an extraterrestrial space craft, and how badly we had irritated whom ever it belonged to.

Sorry I don't have more or better descriptive information on the craft or the post attack findings.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity to tell this story. I would be interested in hearing about any thing that may have been found out about this incident as it has been bothering me for over 40 years now.

Thanks, and best wishes to you.

Additional Information:

Maybe there is more there than I realize, but I think your interview would be quite short. My involvement in this was minimal, albeit that I was an excellent FDC data computer and chart operator -- took out a 3ft. wide suspension bridge with 2 shots once at 14,000 yards with an aerial observer, Australian Chap, and a darn, fine one at that! Never did get to meet the fellow, just a voice on the radio.

I would appreciate hearing about any other information that may surface on this one. I think I still keep one eye out over the brush any time I go out. Had to have really irritated someone!

Back about 1983 in December, I was flying back to St. Louis, from Phoenix, for a week of training, and we were routed through the Denver airport. We were in the four corners area (AZ, UT, NM, CO) and I was looking out the window, Rt. side, a couple of rows behind the wing, -- always like to see where I am going and what is on the ground, if possible -- We were at about 34,000 ft, and there was some cloud cover at about 25,000 - 28,000 ft. I was watching the terrain transition as we came out of the NE Arizona barren landscape, and suddenly became aware of a large dome-shaped object at about 29-30,000 ft. It appeared to be shaped similar to a State capitol building, except it had a lot of antenna arrays on it. The bottom that I could see, appeared to be flat. It was hovering for about 20 seconds and then it descended slowly into a cloud bank. I did not see any flashing lights, or moving parts. It was a dull silver-gray color. It was just a surprising.

The antenna arrays were the most surprising thing to me about the surface of the object. I felt no rush of excitement or panic, just marveled at the size and appearance. I was looking at the object at about a 10 degree down angle and estimated that it was about 1 - 1 1/2 miles away. I would guess that it was about 75 ft. wide and about 45 - 50 ft. high. I was wide awake and I don't drink or use mind altering drugs -- legal or illegal. I have never seen another unidentified object in the air. This was really a strange experience.

Anyway, that is the extent of my UFO mystery experiences. Best wishes to you and your group. Maybe one of these days we will get it all sorted out!
Best wishes to you.

My many thanks to this gentleman for sending in this amazing report.

UFO - Some Of The Things We Saw Were Literally Out Of This World

Brian Vike, The Vike Factor received another fasinating look back in history, a letter from a gentleman who was kind enough to take the time and write up and submit the report. For me personally, these are "treasures" and a look back in time. Without these wonderful people who come forward with valuable information, we as UFOligists can't bring these truly wonderful story's to the general public.

I really do encourage folks who were maybe stationed at the different military bases around the United States, here in Canada or bases around the world to write to me with this important information. Please always note, that I respect everyone's personal information and do not give it out to anyone. Brian Vike - The Vike Factor Research v_factor_paranormal@live.com

Also I would like to point out that permission was granted to leave the report intact as it was sent, the only thing The Vike Factor did, was to remove a couple of the last names for two individuals in this report.

I am retired military, U.S.Navy. My first duty station after apprentice training was at Naval Station, Adak Island, Alaska. I was assigned to the fire department as a fireman. I was not to keen on the idea of riding on the back step of a fire truck or fighting fires, so being a reasonably intelligent person and one of the few in the department that completed high school and could read and write, I got the job of department dispatcher. It was a nice desk job, I worked 7-4, 5 days a week and when all the other guys were out training I hung out in the dispatch office with one of the civilian fire chiefs. There was 5 of them, 4 at the fire station and one was assigned as the crash crew chief at the airfield.

Below Photo: An aerial picture of the Naval Station, Adak Island, Alaska.

What was so unusual about these fellows was they were in their 50's and all near the end of their careers, and prior to coming out to the island, they had worked at the fire/crash department at Edwards/Muroc Air Force Base!

This was in the early 70's so most of their early career (late 40's,50's and 60's ) was at Edwards/Muroc during the period when all the experimental testing was going on there. I became really close with the fire chief Ed and an assistant chief Ron.

They knew all the Mercury astronauts plus anybody else that went through there. They recovered Edwards body the guy the base was named after. Yeager, Armstrong they knew them all.

In the book/movie "The Right Stuff", there is a scene where Yeager bails out of the plane when he lost control and he comes walking out of the desert carrying his chute. A pick up truck comes driving up to retrieve him. Well, in real life they were those guys and they seriously thought they were looking for a body!

It was many years after they told me that story, that I saw it re-enacted on the big screen and realized that I had heard this story before. I'm like an idiot standing up in the theater pointing at the screen saying, "Hey I know those guys!"

Well of course in the many hours of them telling me story's of their adventures at Edwards on the crash crew, watching Buzz Aldrin learn to control the prototype of the Lunar Lander and seeing the various other experimental planes, I remember once asking Ed and Ron if they had ever witnessed anything "weird". Ron looked at Ed and after a moment he quietly said, "some of the things we saw, were literally out of this world."

I didn't think much about it at the time and even later on thought they were talking of the SR-71 which landed once at Adak while I was there, or the U-2, you know exotic conventional planes. But, since reading about Cooper's encounter at Edwards with the saucer landing there and the possible visit of "Ike" at Edwards with "ET visitors" and some of the other statements coming out from people who also were at Edwards when there were encounters with "craft". I now know what they were talking about. And I believe them to be true.

I am very grateful to the gentleman for relating the information.

Loring AFB UFO Incident - A Senior NCO Speaks Out

Brian Vike's, The Vike Factor Note: I really do appreciate the information that I have received from ex-serviceman over the Loring AFB UFO Incident. This gentleman heard a muffled noise around the time the unknown would have been over the base. Although he had not witnessed the unknowns, he certainly heard about it the next morning.

I can't stress enough how important having people who may have some knowledge about the incident write to me with what they know. Who know, maybe one day we can find the answer to what this was flying in the sky's around the AFB.

Brian: I read your piece on Rense.com about the 'Loring AFB UFO Incident' during late 1975. I was a senior NCO stationed there at the time. My family and I had recently arrived at Loring from overseas. We lived in the officers' section of base housing on Foulois Drive.

I remember the incident very well because of two things: I was assigned to the 42nd Munitions Maintenance Squadron and my birthday was near the end of October! At any rate, the 42nd MMS was the activity that maintained the weapons storage areas for both conventional and nuclear munitions. I can't stress this fact too strongly - the nuclear WSA was at a location called East Loring which was about five miles from the main base. In Loring's heyday, East Loring was an annex of the base but by the 70s and later it was largely abandoned except for the WSA.

Below Photo: Loring AFB.

One night, very late, if my memory serves me, around 0030 or 0100, I heard a hell of a racket. That of a chopper without muffler, moving rapidly and I don't know from which direction and I did not see it but I do know the muffled sound of a chopper's rotor blades - this thing was on steroids and moving fast. This is the part that I can't verify but I do NOT believe Loring had any helicopters assigned to the base. To the best of my knowledge, all they had were the B-52s and KC-135s assigned to the 42nd Bomb Wing and two F-106 Delta Darts there as fighter protection (a fighter squadron detachment). At any rate, it didn't take me long to go back to sleep but I did go outside and take a look to see if I could spot anything. I did not but recall it was VERY cold at the time, but no snow yet. The aircraft sounded like a flying Harley Hog, it was so loud. I do not believe a UFO would be heard!

The next morning when I went in to work at MMS one of my friends asked me if I had heard about the 'UFO' that had been spotted over WSA. I said no, but that I had heard a chopper go over base housing at about the same time.

I have always had a theory about this incident but could never find anyone else who thought the same - or just would not say. I do NOT believe that this was a UFO, that it was a Soviet chopper that had flown in from a sub or trawler parked off the North Atlantic coast. I believe it was probing our defenses, circled around a while, and left. I think the brass knew this but felt that if it was revealed, it would be a big embarrassment.

Just my thoughts but after all this time, hard to prove.

Thank you to the gentleman for his report. Very interesting to get this information.

Loring AFB UFO Incident - October 1975 Another Person Speaks Out

Message: Loring AFB Incident - October 1975

To write this, I have to erase from my mind information I have learned over the years about this and go back to that month. From what I can remember, that month started a month before during Labor Day weekend. It took me awhile to realize that these two events happened within a short time of each other. I am quite sure that my memory is right about this, and if not, I apologize.

Labor Day weekend, a family was camping at Baxter State Park, which is in the northern part of Maine. They were at a campground with other campers there. They had a son about four or five years old. He liked to ride his tricycle around the campground. The neighboring campers watched the child, as did his parents. Within minutes, he disappeared. They found his tricycle by the dump and immediately started a search for him. Nothing. They searched and searched, not even a piece of cloth. The Navy's infrared planes searched, dogs, flyers were sent all over the United States and Canada. Nothing. From what I can remember, the Yankee magazine had an article about the disappearance of this child in 1980, the fifth year since his disappearance. This occupied our minds during September.

My ex-husband was stationed at Loring AFB and debriefed flight crews. Sometime around the first of October I went out to Base Ops to buy a soda or something. This was during the evening and the other stores were closed. We were living on the base, and it was getting dark as I was driving home. I noticed that every fourth to fifth street was out. Since this was during the "gas crunch," I thought the base was being conservative. Sometime within that week or maybe the start of the next week, my ex mentioned something about something "buzzing" the airstrip. Over the next couple of weeks, the situation escalated. Rumors were flying, the Bangor Daily News published articles about "lights" over Loring AFB. Somehow I heard that it was a "helicopter" with no identifying marks on it, flying at night with no lights, and the pilot refused to answer the radio. It may have been in the Bangor Daily News that the "helicopter" was chased into Canada.

Below Photo: Loring AFB.

Panic was starting to spread through the base. Women were starting to pack and leave. I don't know if any of them did leave. Loring AFB was very secluded, hidden in a forest of pine trees. Couldn't even be seen from the highway that goes from Caribou to Limestone. During that time, my thoughts were that we could be wiped off the face of the earth and no one would know that we were gone. I thought it was Russia. Loring was a dew line base, first strike. Russia had their missiles aimed at us over the North Pole, as we had our missiles aimed at Russia over the North Pole. As the situation got worse, my thoughts were, "Why don't they force it down, shoot it down, do something!"

October 31, Halloween. Over the years I have read and heard differences about the date. I remember Halloween that year very well. The base was locked down. We had to close all of the blinds, no lights on, the base was darkened, no one was allowed to enter or exit the base. A TV station out of Bangor decided to give us a Halloween treat by showing War of the Worlds, The Betty and Barney Hill Story, and another one I can't or don't want to remember. I heard the planes that night. The first time I can remember hearing the planes. And that is all I can remember of the Loring AFB incident. It just went away.

After over 30 years, this still haunts me. How much danger were we in? In my innocence or whatever, at the time I didn't even realize that there were armed nuclear weapons stored on that base. Where was our government? Not even the base commander tried to soothe our fears. I would really appreciate either an explanation or an apology for the hell that we went through in October 1975.

Additional Information:

Another Thought on Loring AFB

From about September 1976 until May 1977, I worked at an off base NCO club as a *****tail waitress. The installation was a radar site north of Limestone, Maine. I worked Friday and Saturday nights. The bar was open to the military, civilians and Canadians. I believe it was sometime during January or February 1977, a man came into the bar wearing a suit, which was out of place for that type of bar. He was very obvious. The bartender nudged me and whispered, "OSI."

What was going on during the mid-70's?

Thank you to the person for the well written report.
