Hello Mr. Vike, I found your blog and email after a Google search for orange lights in sky. Last night, November 7, 2010, my fiancé returned from hockey at 9:16pm Atlantic Time and called me outside to see a strange orange light moving across the sky. It was moving very slowly at a seemingly low altitude. We watched it for a few minutes and pointed it out to some people walking by with their dog.
They thought it was weird, too. Once it got a bit closer it slowed down, almost to a stop, and you could see almost like lines coming from the brightness of the light. My fiancé looked at it through binoculars and he said he thought it looked triangular.
We aren't sure what it is and it was kind of creepy. We watched it for about 10-15 minutes and then it moved away and disappeared. We tried to rationalize it as a plane, we live on a Canadian Forces base, but it seemed to be flying too slow to be a plane, and it was completely silent. If you can shed some light on this, we'd appreciate your input.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
