Eyewitness Drives Directly Underneath Saucer Shaped UFO Winnipeg Manitoba (Audio Interview)

 From Brian Vike’s UFO Files.

The Vike Report.

Date: February 4, 1996
Time: 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: TransCanada Highway #1 at MB highway #5 intersection.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Saucer.

Full Description of event/sighting: I've seen what I would consider to be actual UFO's three times in my life, one during the day and two nighttime sightings. This isn't counting odd lights or some object that is so far away it could be anything, which I have also witnessed on several occasions, these were actual craft that I could see clearly.

The most memorable encounter of the three happened on the night of February 4, 1996 at about 11:00 p.m. at night. While driving on the main highway in rural Manitoba one night, I drove directly underneath a saucer-shaped UFO hovering about 50 feet above the road.

At the time I was living in Brandon and the man I was dating lived in Winnipeg, about 200 km away. Every Friday night after work I would make the two hour drive into Winnipeg and then return home Sunday night, usually leaving around 9:00 p.m..

I would invariably be tired and anxious to get home, so the bright street lights at the Carberry intersection at Highway 5 on the TransCanada Highway (a.k.a. the #1) was always a landmark that I watched for because it meant I only had half an hour left before I was home.

On this particular night it was quite cold (although not abnormally so for February in Manitoba) and I had left Winnipeg at around 9:30 p.m.. After checking my watch and doing some calculations I was thinking that by the time I hit the intersection it would be almost exactly 11:00 p.m., which meant I would be home by 11:30 p.m.. Having driven this stretch of highway often I knew exactly when to expect to be able to see the Carberry lights.

As they came into view, I noticed immediately that there were two other lights hovering just above the familiar streetlights. I kept watching these lights as I drove towards them and they didn't move at all, up or down or side to side. I simply couldn't imagine what they could be.

I later calculated that from the time I first saw the lights to the time I reached the intersection was about 7 km, so they were in my line of vision continuously for approximately 4-5 minutes before I reached them. As I got closer I could tell that these lights were hovering about 10-15 feet above the height of the streetlights.

If the poles are approximately 30 feet and the UFO was 15 feet above them, that would make it only about 50 feet off the ground, extremely close. As I approached the intersection I could tell that whatever this thing was, it was on the other side of the streetlights so I couldn't really see anything more than a dark saucer shape as I drove through the intersection because of the glare from the streetlights.

It wasn't until I was completely through the intersection could I look up and clearly see the UFO. I was driving in the passing lane because as I was coming up to the intersection there was a white van in the right hand lane that wasn't traveling quite as fast as I was, so I was in the left lane, or passing lane, going by it (the #1 is a divided highway).

We were traveling fairly close together as we passed through the intersection, so I know someone else had to be seeing what I was seeing. I also saw two other vehicles on the other side of the highway headed east towards Winnipeg and knew that they must be seeing this thing too.

I had kept my eye on the object the entire time as I got closer to it because I knew it had to be something very unusual. As I drove through the intersection and got past the glare, it suddenly came into sharp view. I was going to drive directly underneath it, it was right in front of me.

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was round and flat, the typical "flying saucer" shape. I couldn't see the top of it of course as I was now quite close to it, but the bottom was very clear. The two lights that I had seen as I was approaching it were on the bottom of the craft and were different colours, but I honestly can't remember what they were, blue and white or yellow, I believe. There was also a third light (this one was red, if I remember correctly) that I had been unable to see until I was closer.

I remember thinking at the time that the craft perhaps had been tilted slightly towards the west with the side that was furthest from me (as I approached it) being slightly higher and that was why I hadn't seen the third light until then, or perhaps the convex bottom had prevented me from seeing it earlier.

The lights were set in a triangular pattern equidistant from each other. It was hovering over the left lane of the westbound highway, not in the middle, so my car drove directly underneath. As I looked up at it through the windshield I thought how it looked just like something out of a movie. It was metallic, dark but shiny, reflecting the lights from below. It was covered with what looked like machinery of some sort, all curvy tubes and pipes, all over the bottom of it except around the edge.

It was approximately 35-40 feet across and I did not hear any noise emanating from it (but I was traveling at about 90 km per hour so the road noise may have drowned out any subtle sounds it may have been making). As I mentioned it was only about 50 feet above me so I got a really good, close look at it, and the light from the intersection was illuminating it quite well.

I have wished heartily ever since that I had stopped that night but I didn't, for several reasons. First, it was late and I was tired and I had to be at work at 7:00 the next morning so I really wanted to get home to bed. Secondly, it was the middle of winter and it was, as I said earlier, fairly cold.

Also, I was by myself and was a little frightened by what I was seeing if I had been with someone else I probably would have been braver. And I was in the passing lane and the white van was still too close for me to change lanes again safely, and you shouldn't stop on the shoulder of the passing lane. However, I did get a really good look as I drove towards it and then under it.

It may or may not be pertinent to note that there is a Canadian Forces army base in Shilo about 25 miles southwest of this intersection.

Anyway, that's what I saw that night. I did arrive home at 11:30 p.m., so there was no weird time loss or anything like that. I'd be interested to know if anyone else reported seeing anything there that night, as there were definitely other witnesses.

The audio interview was done with Brian Vike of The Vike Factor.

UFO Experiences In Transcona Manitoba (Letter And Diagrams)

From Brian Vike's UFO Files.

It was on Wednesday evening at 8:15 when I actually saw a black triangle shaped aircraft fly right over apartment building.

I first heard the sound of a jet engine running at very low power and quickly looked out the window to see the aircraft, which was flat and non reflective

Canadian UFO Investigator Brian Vike's Note: I wrote a quick sentence or two and have posted the entire report in it's letter form along with diagrams of the UFO. All the scanned documents are below.

Bright Object Cylindrical And Round At Times In The Sky Over Central Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  February 20, 2015
Time:  Approximately 7:00 p.m.

Light right now south of the moon. It appears to be spinning slowly.

Additional Information:

It was a cylindrical at times, more round at times, very bright object, to the south of the moon, at moon rise. It is in the western sky viewed from central Winnipeg, Manitoba at approximately 7:00 p.m.

I viewed the object, as did my son (23 years), for at least 30 minutes. It appeared to have a design at times, and spots of light, white and red, also rimmed in green, briefly.

I was thinking it may be a projection, but there was no light from below.

Orange Ball Of Light Moving Quickly Through The Sky Over Near Winkler Manitoba

Date:  October 30, 2014
Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

I saw an orange ball with a yellow ring around it traveling from south to north just over my house near Winkler on the 30 th of October 2014 at around 10:30 p.m.

It was the size of a street light and it was moving extremely fast. At first I thought it must be a meteor or something, but soon realized it couldn't be as it didn't have a trail behind it and didn't appear to be burning, but rather it had a trail of orange below it which was also glowing.

It only took a few seconds for it to travel across the sky heading north. It was a really clear night with lots of stars out. This light made no sound. I have never seen anything like it in my life.

It was very out of place in the sky as it was so low and large.

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Two Large Red Objects Hovering Then Shooting Upward And Wailing Animals In Manitoba

Date:  September 30, 2014
Time:  Evening.

I just had 2 large red orbs near my place in Manitoba, where they just hovered in the air for about 30 or 40 seconds, then both shot straight up and disappeared.

I know they weren't kids shooting things off or air traffic because my nearest neighbour is about 20km away.

Just before hand, I heard what sounded like coyotes or bloodhounds wailing.

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Orange Coloured Object In The Sky Over West Hawk Lake Manitoba

Date:  September 13, 2014
Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, last weekend September 13, 2014, we were camping at Westhawk Lake, MB. At about 10:30 p.m. my friend and I were walking down the roadway and noticed an orange orb coming towards us, also with no sound.

I had taken my cell phone out of my pocket to get a picture, and by the time I was going to take it, the object vanished. When we got back to the trailer we were telling our friends about the incident and when I looked at my cell phone the time was 00:00.

When I got home I searched the internet for sightings and came across an article saying there was a solar flare that weekend, so I thought maybe that is what we saw until I found your article.

Weird or what. Thanks.

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Orange Red Lights/UFOs Spotted Over Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  September 1, 2014
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Winnipeg, Manitoba - Monday September 1, 2014 at about 9:30 p.m. est., myself, my wife and a friend first saw two orange/red lights travelling northwest to southeast at a high rate of speed (my guess 800 to 1000 mph).

They were moving in a straight line, one in front of the other on separate parallel courses and then one of them accelerated, passed the other like it was standing still and then accelerated again and vanished while the other maintained the same rate of speed until out of sight.

Then three more appeared from the same direction and travelled across the sky until out of sight. All of them were completely silent.

They were not Chinese lanterns and flew like nothing I've ever seen before, silent and very fast.

If anyone has witnessed the lights/objects, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Two Triangular UFOs Spotted In The Night Sky Over RM Rockwood 30km North Of Winnipeg Manitoba

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Re-posted by Brian.

Date: 1976 (? - late 70s)
Time: 11:00 p.m. (? - or later)

Location of Sighting: RM of Rockwood 30km N of Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: Triangular.

Investigator Brian Vike’s Note: Just to let the witness and everyone know, I do not post anyone's personal information. The only time names are added is if the witness insists that their name be included in their sighting report, other than that, no private information is added to the reports.

Full Description of event/sighting: Please withhold my name from the story if you publish it on the site please.

I just read the Transcona Manitoba report (and letters) on your site. Oddly enough on the 8th of October on abovetopsecret (which I had just started posting on this month) I posted my story which took place in the late 1970s about 30km North of Winnipeg in the RM of Rockwood.

The Transcona triangle sighting reminded me eerily of my own sighting (although mine was at night) which would have occurred around the same year(s) proposed by the Transcona letter.

The following is my story:

Before I start, I'll explain my father was involved in rocketry, and worked in a rocket manufacturing plant located about 20 - 40 miles from my home in a rural area of the Canadian prairies. Because of this, I was quite familiar with seeing man-made aircraft including military aircraft etc., and I knew what they looked like at night.

One of the advantages I guess of having a father who worked in the military/industrial complex as it were I guess, is you have exposure and access to a lot of pictures, booklets, were taken to air-shows etc.

When I was young, about 14 or maybe 15, so this would be in the late 1970s, my brothers and I were allowed to stay up late as my Aunt and her daughters were over for a barbeque. It was a perfectly clear evening, but as it got later there wasn't much in particular for me (and the other kids who were "played out" and tired) to do.

So I began staring at the stars. While looking northward about oh say 35/40 degrees up from the horizon, I noticed a funny star, and when I looked closer, it was actually 3 stars in the form of a triangle. Only, it quickly dawned on me these weren't 3 separate stars, these were all part of one object that was rotating and the lights at the corners of the triangle rotated in a counter-clockwise direction, fairly slowly, and the object itself moved slowly left and then slowly right.

Then astonishingly, the ship zipped off. It crossed a good portion of the night sky in only a heartbeat. It was absolutely an incredible speed, unbelievable speed judging from the height of the object that would have been a huge distance to move. But I still managed to follow the movement (with some difficulty) and saw the object (still slowly rotating counter-clockwise).

The object stood stationary for a few moments, then whoosh, it went back to the relative position I had originally viewed it at. At this point I knew it was something not-of-this-earth and pushed my younger brother to go get the binoculars while I kept watch of the object.

By the time my brother got back the object had made a few shorter distance "hops" and by the time I put the binoculars in hand I just caught a new arrival, another object, a second set of triangle lights that came in (from nowhere it appeared?) and slowly joined the original.

Image Left: This photo "is not" what the folks saw, but rather an example of the two craft they did see.

Through the weak binoculars you could clearly see 3 distinct lights in the form of a triangle, and from time to time in the counter-clockwise rotation a light that seemed to come into view on top of the object (this was without a doubt a 3-dimensional object).

Both craft continued to come very close to one another. My mother at this time finally was curious as to what we were doing and came over to see what the fuss was.

She looked in the area of the sky my brother and I witnessed the objects in, but she didn't seem to see what we were trying to show her. Although I think she saw more than she let on, but wanted to not scare us, or she may have not caught a glimpse of the two objects spinning in the night sky.

She had been drinking most of the evening. At that point she decided we needed to call it an evening and get to bed. So we left the backyard and our vigil and did as we were told.

Growing up I remember some evenings waking up terrified in bed for no apparent reason as though I had a nightmare, but couldn't recall the dream. Some nights I would have an overwhelming irrational fear before going to bed as well.

I did have a morning when I awoke and experienced "sleep paralysis", I couldn't move although my brain was awake and I could see. I've noticed that this/these types of experiences sometimes occur to people who have witnessed UFO phenomena.

Anyways, it was that evening I knew, without a doubt that there is intelligent life outside of our little ball of dirt, and that they were visiting us. I have continued to watch the skies, and continue to catch glimpses now and then of things I can't easily explain.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the fascinating sighting report.

Humming Sound Heard Coming From Disc Shaped UFO At Headingley Manitoba

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Re-posted by Brian.

Date: September 10, 2007
Time: 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Keadingley, Manitoba.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Disc.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was driving back home from work and I was tired, so I stopped and got out of my car and walked around.

No one was in sight, but yet I heard a weird humming noise. It got louder and louder, but I couldn't see anything. I tried to use my cell phone, but it wouldn't work. I had reception, but it still didn't work.

A light from the north caught my eye and as I turned around I saw a floating disc type thing landing a couple hundred yards away.

I was scared ! I froze, then ran back and got into my car and drove off in the opposite direction. As soon as I drove a short distance, I heard a loud crack from outside, and as I looked in my rear view mirror, I saw the object float up and then shoot across the sky and vanish.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Triangular UFO And On A Different Night UFO Hovers Over Highway At Transcona Manitoba

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Re-posted by Brian.

Date: 1975 or 1976
Time: Evening.

Brian, with regards to your recent phone conversation concerning UFOs, the following are the events which I witnessed, each several months apart, in 1975 or 1976

I've included as much detail as I can recall, perhaps more than necessary, but you can edit it. I hope I have explained it well enough to make sense. Feel free to call me if you have any questions or if it is not clear enough.

The occurrences regarding the "star" which enlarged to the size of a large moon (though oval instead of round like the moon) is the one which is completely unlike anything I have ever heard or read about. If you know of a similar sighting, I would be very interested in hearing or reading about it.

I think my daughters (names removed) and others who know me, would agree that I'm quite stable minded, not easily excited, and I question everything !

Thank you for your interest.

In July, 1973, I moved with my husband and my daughter, aged 11, into a house on the western outskirts of Transcona, a Winnipeg suburb. It was part of a new government development, one block of houses backed by government owned Condos.

The houses, all along one side of the street, faced older, privately owned homes across from us. It was a couple of years before we got cement sidewalks and street and another couple before streetlamps were installed. At the eastern end of our street, Plessis Road, was well-lit and part of the older section of Transcona. Our new street, Kernaghan Ave., was only one block long.

I believe it was the Summer and fall of 1975 or 1976 when several unexplained events occurred, months apart.

Incident #1

On a beautiful sunny day, my husband and I were chatting with a neighbor lady in front of our house. At about the same moment, we all noticed two triangular - appearing objects, gleaming against a clear, cloudless blue sky in the north, northwest.

We couldn't determine if the outward projection was part of the main object or a short, powerful energy steam, certainly not like the jet-stream of some aircraft. It was more solid looking and bright. They shone like stars, probably from the sun which was in the northwest, and the object were absolutely motionless for perhaps 3 to 5 minutes.

Then, in perfect unison, they shot upward, then turned very sharply and sped away in a north, northeastern direction and disappeared. The entire motion took only a second or less.

We couldn't judge the altitude, although they appeared to be about the size of large, bright stars. We agreed that the speed had to be in excess of 2000 miles per hour, probably a gross understatement.

Incident #2

One evening I went to bed while my husband stayed up to read in the living room. It was around 10:00 p.m., or so, but I couldn't sleep. After about a half hour, for no reason other than restlessness (it was very quiet), I got up and stood at the window which faces north.

I was gazing at the stars which were bright against the dark sky. No streetlamps had been installed yet which made the stars more visible than we normally see in the city.

When I turned my attention to the right, the northeast, I caught sight of what appeared to be a star, then a plane, but it was moving very erratically toward the northwest. It stopped every 5 to 20 seconds, as a plane will appear to do when changing directions. But in this case the bright light never stopped or dimmed, but remained steady. It would stop, with no regularity as to distance between stops, and then continue on it's path.

I was quite fascinated and continued to watch it as it made its way across the sky in this fashion, as though it’s intention was to be seen. When it reaches a point in the northwest, it began to curve southward and continued in it's stop and go pattern.

When it appeared, I would lose sight of it. I ran through the living room to the front door, insisting that my husband come too. We went outside and stood on the sidewalk facing west. Beyond the end of the street was open prairie, undeveloped for several miles and quite dark at night. The lights from Winnipeg could be seen on the horizon beyond that. Even there, the sky was dark and stars clearly seen.

My husband and I stood silently watching the "star" as it continued its southward path. When it was exactly in line with our sidewalk, it stopped for a few seconds, then suddenly it zoomed toward us in a direct line (more than half the distance, I would guess) and as it came towards us it increased in size until it became the size of a large moon, like a harvest moon, except oval in shape.

It glowed in a very bright, yet soft light and seemed to pulse as it hovered there for perhaps ten seconds. Then it zoomed back to it’s original size and position. It stayed there for a few more seconds (10-15), then continued its journey southward and we soon lost sight of it as it disappeared behind the black silhouette of tall trees.

I turned to my husband, who looked stunned, and asked him, "did you see what I saw and what it did?"

He shook his head and went inside and refused to talk about it. He later denied he'd seen anything unusual and I never spoke to him about it again. He seemed quite shaken at the time and I felt that he might have been afraid.

However, I'm not so sure of that now, in light of another event concerning another neighbor.

Incident #3

Later one night, perhaps close to midnight, I sat alone in the living room, reading. The house was in darkness except for my reading lamp. The sofa where I sat faced the larger window, looking north, and the drapes were partly open. Outside, it was very dark and the sky was covered with an unusually thick layer of very dark clouds which I hadn't noticed earlier. They were very low.

Very suddenly, the entire room lit up as bright as daylight and I rushed to the window in time to see a bright light above the clouds, moving toward the north. I couldn't see the craft, but judging from the expanse of light coming through the clouds, it appeared to be the size of a football field, this is the nearest description I can give.

It was moving steadily, directly northward until it vanished from my sight, rather slowly. I would guess no more than 40 to 50 miles per hour, and there was absolutely no sound or vibration of any kind, nor any other sound or activity from any local source.

I know it was not a signal light from the Winnipeg airport which was more then 10 miles to the west, because on the few occasions when I observed that light, it moved in an arc, counter clockwise, and the circular path was evident, besides which it would have reflected on the underside of the clouds.

Image Right: Brian Vike, Canadian UFO investigator/host of the Vike Report radio show and editor of the Canadian Communicator Magazine.

The light I saw moved in a straight direct path northward until it faded and disappeared.

In time, I got to know another neighbor who lived across the street on Kernaghan Avenue and we became friends. One day I told her about the incident (#2) concerning the "star" that became huge, and mentioned my husband's reaction and refusal to discuss it. She then told me of her strange experience.

A few years earlier, she and her husband had been driving home to Winnipeg (Transcona), her husband at the wheel. It was quite late and very dark and still some miles from the city. They suddenly saw a very large bright ball, fiery orange/red which descended from the sky and stopped, perhaps 10 feet above the road, quite low, and appeared to be in the diameter, roughly the width of the highway.

Her husband slowed the car, and stopped. Perhaps 200 yards or so before the object. It was apparent they would not be able to continue and would have been foolish to attempt the drive under and passed it. They watched in silence for what seemed to be several minutes as it hovered above the road. Then it lifted off, going straight upward until it disappeared from sight. She said they never spoke the rest of the way home and she assumed he was as stunned as she was.

However, the following day, upon recalling the incident, she tried to discuss it with him, but he claimed he saw no such thing and had no recollection of stopping the car.

Is it possible that both he and my husband really did not witness these things and were perhaps in some sort of trance?

We moved from Kernaghan Avenue in September of 1988 and I have not seen these neighbors since. During the years 1974, 1975, 1976, my husband was away a lot, working up north on hydro dam projects. There were many changes in my life and I put the events behind me. Never recording dates or events, but the details are still vivid in my mind.

My husband and I separated in 1986 and later divorced. He died in May 2003.

I have heard many strange stories from people whose honesty I trust, who are reluctant to confide except in someone they believe is trustworthy, and so I consider myself fortunate in this regard.

I only believe what I cannot find any other explanation for, and I also believe that there will be many more such occurrences in the future.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Unknown Lights And Screeching Sound Came From Three Foot High Creature At St. Laurent Manitoba

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Re-posted by Brian.

Date: August 2003
Time: Evening (after dark).

I had a telephone call from a fellow from St. Laurent, Manitoba on September 22, 2003. The area where this event took place is mainly a Matee community.

The person said he and his wife bought a business and have lived in the community for thirteen years and know many of the area residents. In the last week of August, 2003, four youths were driving south of St. Laurent towards the golf course on golf course road (as many people there call it).

The road runs by Francis Lake and the golf course is on the left hand side of the road when traveling south. As they drove along they noticed an abandoned vehicle off to the side of the road and across from the golf course.

At this point they all saw flashing lights over and above one of the buildings on the course. The lights seemed to be sitting stationary in one spot, and low over the sheds. They assumed, after seeing the car pulled off to the side of the road and the lights flashing, that someone may have been breaking into the sheds.

Two of the young men decided to sneak in to see if they might catch someone causing damage, the other two went back home to get their parents and have them come down to the area where all this was taking place.

As the two youths were approximately half way into the course, and as they approached a small road which passed by one of the dugouts, they heard a very loud, piercing scream.

As they kept walking for approxamtly another 100 feet, all of a sudden this "thing" was right in front of them and screaming out this loud screeching noise. A three foot high creature ran in front of them and it was only about 25 feet away.

Both witnesses were taken totally by surprise, and were very frightened as they had no idea what this thing was. It didn't help that it was dark outside. Both of them ran back towards the road where they had been dropped off, but seeing they did not have a vehicle, they cowered in the ditch which ran along side the road hoping that whatever it was they saw, would not find them.

Finally their two friends returned with a couple of the parents and when the vehicle stopped, the two guys who witnessed the creature, hurridly jumped into the vehicle. "Let's get out of here," they said .... however the parents did go and check the buildings and found nothing had been disturbed.

They all talked about the event on their way home. The lights which were seen hovering over the buildings were a red, greenish and white colour. The witnesses mentioned that not a sound could be heard coming from where the lights were seen. Also they claimed seeing another light hovering over Francis Lake which was totally red. Again not a sound could be heard.

On the same night, shortly after the above sighting, another man, driving his van, had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting a similar creature. He claimed that it was about 10 feet in front of him when he finally came to a complete stop. It moved to the driver's side of the van and squatted down, bending slightly to one side, looked up at the frightened driver.

Left Image: Brian Vike, Canadian UFO investigator/reporter and host of the Vike Report radio show.

The man described the creature as being small and having a protruding jaw filled with a number of teeth. He put the truck into reverse and headed out of there as fast as he could.

After thinking about what just happened, and what he saw, he broke down and started to cry. Another series of events have taken place in the same general area.

A local resident who had some 27 chickens well penned up in a "heavy steel wired" area, found on the following day, that 20 of his poultry had disappeared. A large hole had been ripped in the strong wire fence.

The resident looked around the area and found one chicken still partly alive in the bushes behind their home and it had two puncture holes at the base of it’s neck. No other chickens were found.

Strangely, also there has been a large number of domestic cats which have gone missing just over the same time period, which is definitely not normal and there does not seem to be any explanation for their disappearance.

The fellow claims that there is a lot of history of unknown objects being seen in and around the community. He also said that the creature had been spotted on other occasions throughout the St. Laurent area.

The lights were strange, the creature was strange, what they were and whether or not they were connected is anyone's guess. There does seem to be something very weird happening in this particular part of Canada.

I will continue to look into this and see what, if anything more I can discover about it. Due to the community being tight lipped about such strange events, it’s not going to be an easy task.

Wide Flat UFO With Red Lights Hovering In The Sky Over Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  March 23, 2012
Time:  Between 8:30 p.m. and 8:45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects: Wide and flat.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Yesterday, I was driving down the 59 highway, going south towards Winnipeg, about 2 minutes away. I'm a big time UFO believer, and always glance at the sky.

Well when I glanced at the sky last night (partly cloudy), something stood out to me. There was a flat, wide object with blue green and red lights hovering in the sky. I watched it, because it didn't look like anything I've seen in the sky before.

As I watched this object hover, it started to fly very smoothly and somewhat fast to the right and above of where it was, but not far at all. Then all of a sudden, poof it was gone, just vanished out of no where!

This was an amazing experience and I assure you this was definitely no airplane. I can't wait to see what 2012 brings to earth.

3 Orange Lights In A V Pattern Over Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  February 11, 2012
Time:  Approx: 7:30 p.m.

I live in St. B and last night around 7:30 p.m. as I let my dogs out in the back yard there were 3 lights in a V shape pattern over my home. I have never seen anything like this.

They moved like an airplane no noise. I ran back inside to get my cell phone to see if I could capture this on the camera. The pictures didn't really capture what I was seeing.

Would love to know what this was.

32 Orange Objects In The Sky Over Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  June – July of 2008
Time:  12:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 8
Number of Objects: 32
Shape of Objects: Circles.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Three years ago me my friends and my brother were sitting outside on my steps. I saw this orange light in the sky flying really slowly and it was also really low.

I said something to my friends and they thought I was seeing things. I then saw another one and another, that's when my friends started paying attention to me. Me and my friends then went on to the next street so we could see what was in the sky.

The orange lights in the sky were coming in pairs, sometimes triples and sometimes single. It was the weirdest thing I have ever seen in my life. Me and my friends were all yelling (what is that) (holy crap) we woke up my neighbors so I know more than 8 people seen these things.

My friend (girl) counted about 32 of the orange glowing lights. That's the best way I can describe them. They were orange lights with a glow around them. I know what I saw was not normal and I wish I would have had a video camera.

These orange lights were not lanterns or fireworks or what ever. These were defiantly something way beyond our abilities to make. I know this isn't the best description, but it was three years ago.

Today I felt like Googling what I saw that night and thought I would see if any one else on that night saw them. I truly believe that there is something not human out there. I never believed in UFO's until I saw for myself.

It was scary, but cool at the same time because who in there life time gets to see something so unreal. Also so many at one time. So believe me or not, this is what me and my friends and my brother saw.

Mile Long White/Blue Cigar Shaped UFO Over Winnipeg Manitoba

Date:  May 25, 2011
Time:  8:30 p.m.

You mentioned if anyone else saw anything similar to the story I just read on your site, that you would like to know. Here it is. Winnipeg last night at exactly 8:30 pm May 25, 2011 I was outside in my back yard "Elmwood area". I was watching the planes doing rounds over my area which in its self was odd.

I noticed way up, miles overhead to the south that there was a huge cigar shaped object it appeared to be 1+ miles long and was glowing white/blue, it was moving extremely fast horizontally from west to east. It was in view for approximately 3 minutes then disappeared.

There was no trail behind it. There was 4 of us at home at the time and we all agreed that it was not a plane or a satellite. A few friends have suggested that maybe it was that Russian plane that's visiting Winnipeg, but I can discount that as that Russian plane was one of the planes doing round overhead and it was above Winnipeg, not South of Winnipeg.

I contacted the Winnipeg planetarium and they will be getting back to me. Thank-you.

Bright Orange Ball Over Matlock Lake Winnipeg Manitoba

Date: July 23, 2011
Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, I live in Matlock, along the shore of Lake Winnipeg. Last Saturday night, I walked to the pier to enjoy the still night with a full moon. A couple of other people were there. Suddenly we were all watching a bright orange ball moving west to east over the lake, at 2:30 from the horizon (horizon being 3 and 9).

No sound at all, although it seemed close enough to hear it if it was a plane. The glow was in the front of it, as it moved, but it wasn’t on fire, it wasn’t falling. It was going much too fast for a plane or satellite. As it crossed the lake it just disappeared, it didn’t fade out of sight. There, not there.

Any thoughts? I have tracked down footage of very similar online, from many locations in the worlds. I think it was a UFO. That’s my best guess.

Two Orange Lights Over Assiniboine Park Winnipeg Manitoba

Date: August 19, 2011
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, myself my wife and a friend were at Assiniboine Park yesterday evening around 9:30 pm August 19, 2011 and watched 2 orange lights travel cross the sky for about minute before they went out of sight behind trees. Here is some information on them.

They did not flicker.

They did not make a sound that we could hear.

There were no other lights (as a plane would have), just single orange lights. The lights were larger (about 2 or 3 times as large) than lights on a plane would appear.

They were following each other in a straight line at exactly the same speed, but were very far apart so it was clearly 2 objects not one long one.

The one at the rear suddenly disappeared in an instant (or turned off its light). They were travelling about the speed of a plane so it was definitely not balloons.

This afternoon I just Googled 'orange lights Winnipeg' to see if anyone else had perhaps seen them and came across numerous sites that mention orange lights in Winnipeg. Interesting.

Object Stops And Continues Traveling Over Parkland Region Manitoba Canada

Date: September 3, 2011
Time: 10:30 p.m.

Conditions - Clear sky with partial moon.

I just got back form the lake last night (Monday) at 11:00pm and have decided this morning to report what what I saw at the lake a couple nights ago. I was at my lake for the long-weekend, doing work around the property and such. Having had clouds and rain through most of the weekend, I was happy to see the stars shining bright on Sunday night.

I was standing by a large fire that I had going at the pit out front of the cabin and admiring the sky, as I love to do while there. I noticed a couple satellites pass as I was keeping track of the night sky and looking after the fire.

It was around 10:30 PM that I started to wonder when I was going to see something "abnormal" again. It was just then that I looked up above and noticed something moving.

I saw a glowing object that was very high up. At first, I thought was a satellite moving from north towards south. I very quickly realized that it was not a satellite. It stopped suddenly and sat there in the sky. It didn't move for around 2 seconds then it moved a short distance again, for around 4 seconds until it stopped once again.

It sat for a couple more seconds and the continued to move again. I watched it keep repeating as it kept moving in a south direction. It finally faded in the night sky to the south, simply because it was now so far away.

I have seen satellites all my life, and I know the sky with it's normal movements. I know this is not a satellite. It was about ten seconds after I lost site of the object, that I was looking right above me once again at the night sky.

Suddenly "exactly" where I was looking at appeared a very fast object. It too was very high. It's speed could easily be compared to a meteorite flashing across the sky. It all happened very quickly, but having been looking at the exact location in the sky I was able to at least get a clear, but very brief look at the object.

It was glowing a very bright white, but not as intense as a meteorite or "shooting star" normally appear as.

As it shot across the sky from the north toward the south, I could see that the object appeared rounded at the front and the entire body of the object appeared almost tear drop like. There was no trail to it as there is in so many burn ups in the atmosphere.

I was left thinking hard on it and wasn't going to report these simply because of the distance between them and myself. Having had a day to think on it, made me feel it best to include this with the rest of my sightings and encounters.

I cannot say what it was, but due to my personal experiences as well as knowing where to look and when, leaves me feeling that it was not a meteorite.

I could not capture either on camera because of distance for one, and speed for the other.

That's all I have to share for now.

Take care and stay well Brian.
