Lights Making Unusual Maneuvers Over Leicester East Midlands England UK

Date:  December 5, 2014
Time:  Evening.

I saw 6 objects in the sky tonight over Leicester, UK. At first I thought it was a helicopter carrying a big container.

Then the two objects split, the small (just a bright light) vanished and then I observed the larger of the two, which was a large square object with lights on each point suddenly stop and hover until it moved at a 90 degree angle side ways.

I have never in my life seen a helicopter or a plane do something like that and then it just disappeared!

About two minutes down the road after just telling myself it must have been someone messing about (as I'm rather skeptical on these things and try to find a logical answer) I then witnessed 4 more of the smaller objects just hovering and not moving!

Without a doubt I am freaked out.

Bizarre Lights Seen In The Sky Over Oadby Leicestershire England UK

Hi Brian, I read a blog post just now that talked about an experience that happened over Leicester earlier tonight. I too saw the strange lights and objects in the sky.

It was about 8:45 p.m. when I was driving near Oadby when I saw what looked like the under light of a helicopter which was carrying what looked like (underneath it) a huge container or object of a square nature with lights on all four corners. I continued to drive just observing it when the two objects detached from each other.

The smaller of the two went off to the right and then disappeared whilst the larger moved over Asda (in Oadby) and abruptly stopped, at this point all my skepticism had been abolished and my stomach dropped, it then suddenly moved at a sharp right angle.

I have never seen a plane or a helicopter do this in my life. I am fair certain that planes cannot just move like that and helicopters have to swing forward slightly to go sideways.

This was as if it had stopped turned mid air and then moved again. It shortly vanished. A couple minutes up the road I then saw another square looking object followed by 3 more smaller with a single bright light, they were all hovering.

No movement what so ever, now I did think these could be stars but no, they were way too close to the road to be stars.

I was a serious skeptic about UFO’s, but tonight blew me away.

Bright Object Seen Over Shelfield West Midlands UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Noticed a really bright light in the sky, thought it was Venus, but it very, very slowly moved.

 

Looking at it through binoculars, it appeared to be red and blue and looked like someone was 'writing' with a torch.

 

Don't think it was a UFO, but also have no idea what it was.

Hi, I saw something alike to your description in Wolverhampton last night (18/03/2012) at about 10:45 p.m. It seemed to be not very high in the sky and looked like a ball of "fire".

 

It is impossible for this to be an aircraft in my eyes. The object sailed across the sky, then disappeared off into the distance. What was it?

Orange Glowing Object With Long Orange Trail Behind Seen Over West Midlands UK

We saw something that sounds like that, but we are in the UK in West Midlands we saw it about 9:40 p.m. and it was there for about a minute.

 

I thought it may have been something like a shooting star, but the husband says he saw bits coming off the sort of trail behind it.

 

It was like a orange glow ball with long orange trail behind that just disappeared after about a minute not sure if this helps anyone.

UFO Zig Zags Around In The Sky Over Midlands Ireland

Date: February 26, 2011
Time: 9:56 p.m.

My location: Midlands, Ireland, near where the borders of Counties Carlow, Kilkenny and Laois meet. Date: 26 February 2011, Time: 21:56 Gmt.

What I saw: In the sky to the south, a light which at first glance could be mistaken for a bright star. The difference is, it moves in a zig-zag path, to right, drops down, zig-zags to left, pauses. That was an hour ago.

Now, an hour later, I thought it was gone, but it had moved a good distance to the right. I watched for a while to see if it was the same object or a star this time. It is the same object, zig-zagging slowly back in the direction of left, though still in the southern sky. Planes don’t zig-zag as far as I’m aware. There are no other stars visible to me.

I offer this report that it might verify someone else’s. And you’ll have to take my word that I have no alcohol taken.

Faint Orange Light And Smoke Trail Seen From Coventry West Midlands UK

I seen a bright light with a smoke trail over Coventry West Midlands.

Additional Information:

It was about 7:30pm 4th March 2011 when I saw a faint orange light which brightened very quickly, then dimmed, then brightened again. This is when I seen a tail of smoke. I seen this toward the direction of Birmingham and it lasted about 8 to 10 seconds. The smoke trail was visible for about 5 minutes after.

3 Large Bright Orange Lights Over Coventry West Midlands UK

Time: Evening.

Hello, my partner and I live in Coventry in the West Midlands and have just saw 3 large bright orange lights flying in a triangle formation - exactly as you have described seeing.

We have just saw them tonight 23rd November 2010, I found your link when I Googled to see if there were any other sightings in this area and I found your sighting to be the most similar to ours!

Thought you'd like to know.. My partner has taken a photo with his phone so if you'd like the photo I shall send it to you when he uploads it to the computer.

Two Orange Lights Over Bilston Cemetery Bilston West Midlands UK

Hello Brian, another sighting over the cemetery last night. 19.40 pm. Very clear conditions. No cloud. Two orange lights, fairly high over tops of trees, one following close behind the other. Quickly followed by light aircraft bearing standard navigation lights. Seemed to be following the objects. Is this possible. Regards.

Orange Light On Collision Course With Plane Over Bilston Cemetery Bilston West Midlands

Date: October 20, 2010
Time: 20.40-20.45

Location of Sighting: Over Bilston cemetery, Bilston, West Midlands, UK.
Witness Statement: Weather conditions: Very clear sky, moon very bright. No breeze. Very cold. 2% cloud. Time 20.40: plane with standard navigation lights, size of a darning needle eye at arm's length coming fast across from northwest to southeast.

Also simultaneously, orange-light object same size coming over from north to south. Following probable collision path with plane.

Next, plane with standard navigation lights (same size) coming in from northeast to southwest, again apparent collision course with orange object.

Orange object maintains flight path, planes alter direction so that they are flying alongside the orange object, one on each side. Orange object disappears, leaving only planes, then they are out of my sight.

Dark Orange Globes Over Bilston Cemetery Bilston West Midlands UK

Time: 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Bilston Cemetery, Bilston, West Midlands UK.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: 19.05 Luminous blue twilight sky. No cloud. Fairly stiff breeze East to West.

Object 1: Dark globe shape against luminous twilight sky. As it travelled, bursts of orange flame from bottom of the globe. About 20 feet above tops of tall trees. Travelling quite quickly. Went indoors to fetch my husband. When we returned it had gone.

Object 2: Followed ten minutes later (17.10 -17.15 hrs) by another identical object on same flight path-same speed. Watched until it disappeared behind tree line.

Object 3: Followed at 20.00 hrs by an orange light globe on a similar flight path, but more north-to-west than east-to-west. Might have started off dark like the other two, but by now the sky was dark, so it is impossible to say. Disappeared behind tree line. I tried to catch this one on my video camera, but it is only a cheap one, and it didn't pick it up.

No noticeable noise from any of them, but dog next door was barking at the same time as I saw the first one. This dog was barking at my last sighting. Is it possible dogs can hear these objects, but not humans?

These could have been hot air balloons, except they were smaller than that.

I watched for a further hour, but nothing else unusual. Only quite a few aeroplanes.

Orange Red Globe Fell Quickly Downward At Bilston Wolverhampton West Midlands UK

Time: 10:15 - 10:30 p.m.

Direction: North-West and West.
Weather conditions: 20% cloud otherwise, clear, dark sky. Few stars apparent. Still, quiet night. No wind.
Observed by me and my spouse.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We observed a stationary orange-red globe. North west. It was stationary for minimum 5 minutes. Then extremely rapid fell straight down, disappearing behind trees on the horizon. There was no sound of explosion, even though one was expected as it should have hit the ground at high speed.

At same time, a second sphere. Again stationary, although dimmer, and flashing red/green, more towards west.

Observers went indoors. 30 minutes later, second sphere had disappeared. Manner of disappearance unknown.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw this approximately 12:00am on Friday/Saturday 28th of August in Bilston West Midlands as I went into my back garden. It moved very precisely in a straight line. It was completely silent though. It was triangular shaped with an ember like faint glow. It was also quite low, but was moving quite quickly. The sky was clear and I watched it until it was out of my view. I was pretty taken back to be honest as I wasn't expecting to see this.

Huge Glowing UFO Over Highters Road Warstock Birmingham West Midlands UK

Date: Around 1969 - 1970
Time: Before 11:00 p.m.

I mailed you about a sighting on New Years eve in Winscombe, but this is not my only sighting. In about 1969-70 in Highters road, Warstock, Birmingham, West Midlands I was going home in my car just before 11:00pm at night as that was my curfew time at home, so I cannot forget. As I came up the hill near home all of the rooftops around my home glowed orange. I thought a house was on fire.

I quickly pulled up and got out of my car. Above the house was a large round orange ball about as big as a house or more. As I looked up, it just shot towards 5 blocks of flats that were there and then and disappeared as fast as the blink of your eye and no sound. Just thought you should know.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hello, while at a New Years party at my brothers we all went outside onto the front garden. Then around 00:05 we saw one orange glowing light moving left to right to right across our vision as another one did the same the other way. They then seemed to speed off into the distance facing the same direction as we were.

Then we saw three coming left to right then another single one coming right to left. We then saw several more. We thought he had stopped but when I went outside a bit later I saw another one on its own. My brothers fiancé and her friend said they saw a very big version of the orange lights but much faster too. Sorry about the vague report. I see other people have reported it too.

I was outside watching the fire works and noticed at least 40 of the orange lights from midnight, over a 40 - 45 min period. I have a few photos and some video footage. The last object I noticed didn't have any lights on, was a dark circular object.

40 Orange Lights Over Rowley Regis West Midlands UK Caught On Film (Video And Pictures)

I was outside watching the fire works and noticed at least 40 of the orange lights from midnight, over a 40 - 45 min period. I have a few photos and some video footage. The last object I noticed didn't have any lights on, was a dark circular object.

30 Plus Round Orange Lights Over Walsall West Midlands UK (New Year)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Staring out the window just after midnight when my family and I noticed two strange lights flying in sky in a straight line. Weird as this would have been way to dangerous for a normal aircraft! After watching them amazed, we noticed even more lights coming from the West all the while travelling to the East. No light was alone, always within a group flying at the same speed with no noise being generated.

Looked on net and found that these strange lights are spotted alot, weirdly enough on new years eve 2008 and all!

Also, on December 27th I was in kitchen and noticed the same orange light in the sky, going way to fast for an aeroplane, however, thought nothing of it and forgot about it until I just spotted the vast amount that we have seen!

Would be great if you could shed some info on these lights, do you know what they are?
