Hi, I was travelling from Halifax Centre in West Yorkshire England and 10 minutes ago and saw what we thought was a shooting star with a bright red/yellow tail travelling northwest.
It was visible for quite a bit longer than the other shooting stars I have ever seen, I Googled shooting star over Halifax, and hence that is why I am replying now, as never seen anything like it before!
Hope this is of interest to you.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

I saw it aswell exaclty what you decribed... I stay in Scotland and it was really low in the Fife area. At first we thought it was a chinese lantern however on closer inspection realised it wasnt..
