Bright Stationary Light In The Sky Over Edmonton Alberta (Possible Venus)

Date:  March 25, 2012
Time:  9:45 p.m.
Just saw the same described light in the sky. 9:45 p.m. from my apartment in Edmonton. It was definitely stationary and not a star, too close for that.
Noticed it in the western sky. Would really like to know what it is.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

The Vike Factor (Brian Vike) website:

  1. What is this super bright light, is it a satellite perhaps? Please let us know at if you find out.

  2. My husband and I have been seeing the same bright stationary ball sense Nov. 2011. We lived in Colorado, USA when we first noticed it. Now we live in New Hampshire,USA and we can still spot it. We have no idea what it is. It's been suggested that it is a satellite, a comet, a planet or space junk. Be believe it's none of the above. What ever it is, it's big. Don't have a telescope to track it properly and get measurements to see if its getting bigger (moving closer) or smaller or even moving at all. Let us know if you guys get any sort of information.

  3. saw a bright light appear out of darkness. almost like a meteor heading towards me but it soon went really dim stayed dim and appeared to go into orbit like a satellite wtf?
