Large Bright Strange Orange/Yellow Light Seen Over Moncton New Brunswick

Date:  March 4, 2012
Time:  Late evening.

On March 4, 2012. I can't recall the time it was, rather late. My boyfriend and I were out back in Moncton New, Brunswick when we saw a strange orange/yellow light in the sky.

It was very big and bright. At first I thought maybe a planet, but it looked too close. We then noticed it suddenly move towards us fast, then stop.

The whole time we watched it, it would move quickly in our direction then stop, then move slow. We are still unsure of what we saw. We just know it was very odd.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

  1. I saw a strange orange light in the sky - and then my parents saw it tonight - my father described it as moving to the side in somewhat of a straight line, like a balloon with fire in it, lower than a plane but not too low - which is how I'd describe it. It looked like fire. It was oval shaped and moved sort of randomly, to the side. I thought it had to be a plane but it didn't look like a plane or a plane's light. I had never seen anything like it before. We are in MA.

  4. We are in Cambridgeshire in England, but about 10 minutes ago we just saw something almost EXACTLY the same as what you described! We also thought it looked like a planet, but ruled this out because it was too close....

The 1rst one I noticed got smaller from too close to be a plane, mind you, it did not look like a plane either, to getting tinier by the second, in a manner that makes me think it was getting higher in the atmosphere, and all of a sudden a new big one appeared, same traveling path, unless I was too focused into the first one, it came out of no where, like fire orange flame with a oval halo orange too but less bright than the brighter orange ball/light at it's base/center.

What struck me, is I first thought it looked like a orange Chinese lantern, or like a hot hair balloon, but that theory disappeared as the 1rst one disappeared high up in altitude, and so the 2nd one, too quick to be a hot hair balloon, and definitely too big to be a Chinese lantern. Weird.

The end is near, is all I heard when I arrived at home. Not my thought on things that's for sure

Anyone knows what the heck that was??? Cause that is disturbing..

  6. found this while searching for any other witnesses or explanation but Last Sunday night, June 6th/2013 myself and 2 others who were with me witnessed some very strange lights 3 of them all apeared out of nowhere. they were Deep amber/orange almost red at time colored balls. My friend saw them and pointed them out , the color/shape and intensity were all different then any planes i've seen and living near an airport i've seen them coming and going often. What really caught my attention was the way they moved, at first they hung in the sky in a triangular pattern. Then all orbs 3 moved to the right at the same speed then up, then a bit to the right, before continuing to the left again and moving out of site blocked by a neighboring building. But all movements were in sequence and a plane can’t move up and back and forth like that while keeping it's lights pointing forward...

  7. July 13th, 2013: Witnessed exactly what was described by MD from Moncton, NB. We are in Shediac, NB. Close to 9:30pm 2 of these chinese lantern looking things went right over my house, 1 came about a minute after the first one went out of sight. Very strange. no noise of an engine, and was way to low to be anything in orbit, was fairly large, flew in a straight line to the east, and they both flew in the exact same path.

  10. i am from dieppe N-b in canada.
my dog woke my up nov 13-14 it was 12-1am at night, so yeah she wanted to pee outside.

it was a really cold night i ran in the patio to let her out and i noticed a orange orb in the sky. it instantly caught my attention because i have never seen a orange star so big and bright before in the sky in my lifetime i am 24.

i looked at it about 10 seconds thats all i could take in the cold with shorts. but it was significant enough to really make me wonder unline any normal star.

  11. I seen 4 strange fireball/amber looking objects over top Riverview. I was standing next to assumption building looking over. At first they seemed to have been fireworks shot up from far behind riverview. Then they were so.. still and in perfect formation in a square shape. Each light at each corner. Then they started going left one at a time. Not fast and still keeping the fireball look. They were quite low. There was someone else around the corner from where I was described the same thing to me a few days later from that same night. This happens in 2015 sometime in the end of summer. I was just getting done my shift around 9pm. It was very dark out by that time. I wonder what it was.

  12. We saw four big and bright amber lights fly over the north side of Fredericton last night close to midnight. They flew one right after the other all heading in the same direction. Two of us saw them and were quite startled by how bright and big these were. They seemed to be flying low compared to airplanes and their trajectory was rapid and steady. Wondered if anyone else had seen them. That's why we googled and came across this page.
