Ghostly Medieval Woman In Long Dress Moved Through The Children's Room In The United Kingdom

Hi Brian, I wondered if you might like this true ghost story from over here in the UK.
 
It was a long time ago now, about forty three years, when my brother and I were little boys of about three and four years old respectively. At that time we lived in an old cobble-stone cottage in Norfolk that is no longer there, a housing estate of bungalows having been built there for several years now.

Anyway, on more than one occasion we were disturbed by something coming through our bedroom. This 'something' was so upsetting to me that I screamed my head off until mother came up to see what was wrong. My dad wouldn't come at first because he said my scream was so unearthly he was scared! I can remember being absolutely terrified.

My mother asked us what was wrong and we explained that figures had come through our room. Now, in actual fact my brother can remember what we saw better than I can, even though he is the youngest. I can distinctly remember seeing a soft light moving around the room in a weird way and being utterly witless with fear, whereas my brother can remember seeing a rather large woman with dark red hair running through our room and disappearing through the far wall.

He knew she was running because he saw her cheeks puffing in and out. We also saw a medieval type of woman, at any rate, she must have been medieval because my mother got us to draw pictures of what we saw the next morning and they showed details of that period of dress we couldn't have known about beforehand.

Bear in mind that each subsequent drawing we did got more scary with our childish imaginations, so it's fair to say that the first ones were probably the most accurate.

These showed a lady in a long dress with a 'wimple' on her head, this is a pointed hat that held a veil aloft and trailed it down her back. I can distinctly remember drawing these pictures.

We saw these ladies on more than one occasion and I was terrified each time. It is because my brother and I both remember this that I think proves it was a genuine experience - and my mother and father can remember coming up to us of course. Besides, I can still recall the utter terror I felt at the time.
 
Strangely, on one occasion I can vividly remember seeing a small, diamond shaped thing moving about between our beds, although this may have been part of something larger, such as a figure. Nevertheless, I thought it strange because it was visible in the darkness, and sort of pale in colour, but without emitting much light. It was weird.
 
After we moved away, the cottage was knocked down to make way for the new homes and whenever we passed the site we noticed that, as often as not, the bungalow on the site of the cottage always seemed to be for sale.

  Anyway, it gives me Goosebumps just recalling this as it was definitely something real and very odd. No wonder the poor little boy that was me was so scared!

Interestingly my brother was perhaps too young to fully appreciate what it was because when my mother came up the stairs the first time and asked us what was wrong my brother simply replied "I saw a shadow".

Silent White Object Flow Over Trent DT94TA United Kingdom

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Out at the rear of the house in very rural location. As usual getting my cat in for the night around 21:30-22:00. I look up and see a totally silent off white light moving slowly in an easterly direction.

It is slower than the usual high flying traffic out of Exeter, and there is absolutely no engine sound even after the light has passed over. I have seen this light on several occasions at around 21:55-22:00.

 

I assumed that it may be the ISS or a satellite, but thought you would like to know anyway for correlation purposes.

My house is in Trent which is only a couple of miles from Yeovilton RNAS, but that is away to the NNW. And their helo traffic is audible minutes away. Regards.

Spherical Orange Ball Of Light Over Slaithwaite Huddersfield Yorkshire England United Kingdom

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I actually first saw this around a month ago, when I was leaving work in Birstall. It hovered in the sky, very plainly obvious. Then, as I drove home it seemed to expand and then disappear.

 

It then reappeared on the 6th February, again, hovering, motionless in the sky near Birstall. It was in a different part of the sky to last time. I watched it, but sadly had no recording equipment on me. As I drove home it went out of sight and out of mind.

 

Later that evening I went for a run to Slaithwaite and back from my house in Milnsbridge, about 3 miles each way. As I turned to begin the 3 miles run back home, I looked up and it was there, right ahead of me. As I ran, I realized I was getting closer and it wasn't too far away.

 

I watched it all the way as I ran, until several minutes later I physically passed directly beneath the light. It was motionless, soundless, around the size of a helicopter and no more than 200 meters from the ground.

 

It just hung there. It glowed orange, but the light seemed to change, flickering white/red. I watched over my shoulder as I ran home, and the minute I got home I dragged my house mate out to check that it was actually there and I wasn't mental.

 

She confirmed she could also see it, although by this point we were 2 miles away from it and so she couldn't vouch for it's size or locality. Very weird. Would love to know if anybody else saw it too! It was in the sky for a good few hours.

Large Orange Ball Of Light Over Trent Vale United Kingdom

Time:  12:45 a.m.

 

Hi, I saw exactly the same type of object last night, 24th May 2009 00:45 a.m. My location was Trent Vale, the object was south of us and high in the sky. The object appeared as a large orange ball, about quarter diameter of a full moon.

 

It travelled to the west maintaining its size and glow then travelled south away from us diminishing in size. I too thought it may have been a plane on fire, but no wreckage was seen falling.

Light Orange Circular Object Over Derbyshire United Kingdom

UFO Chesterfield Red Light, I have just seen the exact same thing about 5 minutes ago. (now 21:32 25-04-2009) I immediately Googled 'UFO Derbyshire Red Light' and found this post. Very bizarre.

 

What I saw: A fabulous view of a light orange bright circular object travelling in a perfectly straight line, travelling at approximately 100 mph, I imagine under the cloud level.

 

I followed it for about a minute, then it seem to quickly shrink to a bright orange dot then gone. It was travelling in a northwest direction. I saw this from my loft skylight, which I am regularly hanging out of having a crafty smoke.

 

I know this is a very unusual as I have never seen anything like this before in my life. Absolutely no sound whatsoever and travelling far too quickly for a glider/balloon etc., I am very intrigued.

6 Or 7 Bright Red Orange Lights Over Pitsea Essex United Kingdom

Time:  Evening.

 

Hi Brian, I and my mum had a UFO sighting a couple of days ago and I've been looking around the net to see if anyone else had reported it. To my shock I found the article about the mother and son from Pitsea Essex that saw 6 or 7 bright red/orange lights last year in January.

 

We are also from the same place. I'm shocked because we saw the exact same thing, all in all 6 or 7 very bright lights appearing in the distance one at a time, I’d say between 30 seconds and a minute intervals.

 

They came right over our heads as we were standing in the back garden having a smoke. I can hardly believe what I saw. I've tried to pin it on everything from planes to helicopters to balloons and I'm absolutely sure it was nothing like that.

 

They were silent, guided and very low and close, they each had a main very bright orange/red light that enveloped the whole craft, but with a little pulsing white light in the middle of the main light.

 

I've always believed we are not alone in this universe since it is the logical thing to believe with the vastness out there. I also want proof, I think I have just witnessed the proof I need.Thanks.

3 Orange Objects Over Foxfeild Park Grange Park Northampton United Kingdom

 

Date:  June 4, 2011

Time:  11:30 p.m.

 

Brian, last night I witnessed the same thing at 11:30pm over Foxfeild Park, Grange Park, Northampton. 3 orange globes like flares, but a lot bigger,and brighter.

The night sky lit up like a flash of lightening and three orange globes descended from the clouds and then banked south. Time between each globe was about 30 seconds and followed the same pattern three times.

 

What was strange, there's was no sound and the globes were gigantic in size. What stands out was the orange glow not unlike a street light but 1000 brighter.

Large Erratic Bright Light Over Newquay United Kingdom

Hi Brian, last night at about 10’oclock I and my wife saw a large light in the sky moving back and forth over the Newquay area.

It was about ten miles away and moving at different speeds, but fast for about an hour and it was defiantly not a plane or helicopter as it was too erratic. Regards.

The 2nd and third at different times were silent, fast moving and large, I am surrounded by plane traffic from Heathrow and local planes from Fairview airport. What I saw from my 15th floor balcony were not planes or helicopters, they were large, fast moving and glowing.

Bright Light Over North Manchester United Kingdom

Time: Around 9:00 – 10:00 p.m.

Sorry mate, you must be in the USA I assume, the sighting was in North Manchester United Kingdom the birth place of Manchester United football team ha. It was Wednesday evening around 9:00pm to 10:00pm the date was 16th of March, 2011.

I've been told it may have been a weather balloon sent up by British Aerospace down the road from me, but I cant see it being that, as for a Chinese lantern it can't be as it gets further up as the wind would blow.

Away, as it went straight up it didn't move to left and right as it would if it was windy, it just went to a dot, then gone and besides, Chinese lanterns would burn out well before it went above clouds surely. Anyway get back to me with answers if you can. Cheers mate.

6 Large Glowing Dark Orange Balls Of Light Over United Kingdom

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We have seen 6 dark orange balls of light which then appear to form a triangle. then they disappear. We initially thought they were lanterns, but we have seen them on a regular basis nightly from our garden. Last night I was staying with my mum, my husband texted me to say that the orange balls in sky over Ruislip were amazing.

I looked outside my mums window at 1:30 a.m. and the orange balls were beautiful, in that they were not just balls, but like a large glowing orange dandelion head all light up orange and there is no noise.

I took pictures on my mobile phone, but whether it be the camera, the picture just came out as two lights. Other people must have seen it.

12 To 14 Large Orange/Red Pulsating Lights Over North London United Kingdom

Dear Brian, on 22nd January 2011, my husband and I visited some friends in North London. At about 11:00pm a friend went onto the balcony to have a cigarette. She came straight back in and said there were some strange lights outside, so we all went outside to look.

As we watched, we counted about 12-14 large, orange/red pulsating lights flying towards us, one about every 30 seconds in a purposeful flight path. (similar to last summer when I wrote to you, but these were larger and faster).

There may have been more prior to our seeing them. They were flying fast, in a South Westerly direction over north London.

Bright Orange Light Or Flame Over Newquay United Kingdom

My wife and I saw a bright orange light or flame over Newquay at 2130 on 19th September 2010. At first we thought it was a balloon or Chinese lantern, but it was travelling far too fast, and there wasn’t any sound, so it couldn’t have been an aircraft.

It travelled from the southwest towards the northeast and it appeared at first to be heading towards the airport, but at a very high speed. It disappeared totally from view within less than 2 minutes. Regards.

4 Bright Orange Lights Over Leeds United Kingdom

Dear Sirs, my name is (name removed) and early hours of this morning at approximately 00:10. I was driving south on the motorway past Leeds and my mate pointed out these 4 orange lights. He said I wonder how they're held up as they looked like lights as they were in line with the slip road. They were in a straight line.

I didn't take much notice until they broke formation. We pulled up on the hard shoulder and watched them move eerily slow across the sky. This is the honest gospel truth. My heart was pounding with excitement. It was busy on the motorway and it was a clear sky and you'd have to be blind not to have seen them, as they stood right out. Has anyone else reported this ? White And Orange Light Over Mickleover Derby England United Kingdom

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Very shortly after submitting a sighting from last night, my husband and I went out into the garden tonight at 22.30 and a few minutes later spotted a very bright white light, similar to the sighting last evening (Thursday 24th June) again travelling silently and horizontally from the southwest to the east. Whilst standing outside, some ten minutes later I then noticed a very visible bright orange light coming towards us which I thought at first was a plane, but it was soon obvious it was exactly the same object we had previously seen back on 22 May and again on 11 June - totally silent, an extremely bright pulsating orange fiery light, and what my husband described as a darkish "aura" around it. It travelled very quickly indeed from East to West on a horizontal path and was soon out of sight. As before, we are sure many other people will have witnessed this. Would really like to have an explanation for all these recent sightings.

Lights Over Edmonton London United Kingdom

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Just weighing in on the same sighting. I live in north London and I am aware of the government tracking of UFOs through the Chem trail layers over London. This was well below the flight paths and came from west to east and then changing in direction, heading north about 11.40pm. There was no sound or flashing lights indicating small aircraft.

The lady from the Chinese jokingly called it a UFO, but she was correct. Although it did not fly out of sight, it did fade out making it impossible to track when I ran back to grab the camera. That same evening an extremely high white UFO crossed overhead a few hours later at 1:00pm. What ever is going on, it's intensifying. I shall travel with my video camera more often in the evenings.

3 Ovoid Flames Of Light Over The United Kingdom

Shape of Objects: Ovoid, flames.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was lying in bed, looking out of the window at the dark sky. It was perfectly clear, moonlit, the stars were shining. Two ovoid flames came across the sky, very close to each other, in tandem. Direction SE to NW in straight line. As these passed over another one came by, following the same track, again, an ovoid flame. I looked out and as it passed over the house next to me, its flame suddenly went out.

I think it was the same night or night after that a strange red and orange light, flashing, (it had the feeling of a structure about it), came over the house, this time from west to east. Even more strangely, that next morning I was looking out at the garden at the sky and this same object, not very high, passed in the direction east to west.

It was silent, not very high and I assume far too low for a satellite. I thought the flames so-called were flares from the coastguards, but this seems less likely the more I think about it. they were very symmetric in shape and size, very strange.
