Orange Ball Of Light/UFO Hovers In Front Of Witnesses Truck West Of Solomon Kansas

Time:  Approximately 11:30 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I lived in the county West of Solomon, Kansas. One night heading home from work around 11:30 p.m. I crossed a set of railroad tracks and noticed an orange ball of light moving along the tree tops to the south of the highway.

As I crossed the river bridge it darted across the highway at about 100 feet above the road to the north side.

It continued along the highway for approximately 2 miles darting straight up and then forward at one point, where I lost sight of it.

I made my turn onto Donmyer road and it came down directly in front of my truck, maybe 40-50 feet it hovered there. I stopped and opened my door to get out, but had a change of heart, maybe just frightened.

I closed the door and accelerated, the object shot straight up and disappeared. I have regretted not getting out and trying to determine what it was for years.

It followed me for several miles, and stopped suspended in the air in front of me. Not lighting or swamp gas. I am still looking for a logical answer and thought I would share my story.

Bright Light Seen In The Sky West Of Iola Kansas

Date:  October 14, 2014
Time:  Approx: 6:00 p.m.

My name is (name removed) and my friend and I were driving in Iola, Kansas when we saw a bright light to the west of Iola.

We saw two passenger jets fly by under the view of it.It held it's place in the sky for about five minutes.

We showed it to a couple people at a local gas station, then it moved over the horizon. It was bright and big and had a tail when it was moving to the west and just a round light when it stopped.

I am 48 years old and my friend is 44.

Just wondering if any one else reported this sight. I called a friend in Burlington and he could see the planes, but not the light. He is 45 minutes to the northwest from my location.

Sincerely. This happened on 10/14/14 at about 6:00 p.m. to just before sunset.

Light Circling In The Sky Above Galena Kansas

Date:  October 4, 2014
Time:  11:15 p.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Just saw a light above the sky circling around the same place. I was driving and it was right above my vehicle on my way home from work. I'm sure the light followed me all the way home.

My husband tried to take a picture, but his camera did not work. It stayed for about an hour, and when my husband went to check it out again, it was still and it just suddenly took off.

4 Lights Circling In The Sky Over Kansas City Missouri (Sounds Like Searchlights)

Emerald Green Sphere/UFO Observed In The Sky Outside Of Ulysses Kansas

Date:  December 31, 2011
Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

My name is (name removed). I live outside of  Ulysses, Kansas. I Saw what I call an emerald green sphere about 9:00 p.m. on 12/31/2011. I was driving into town and stopped facing west at Highway 25 north of Ulysses.

There was a car coming from both directions so I waited. I saw what I thought was headlight reflections on my windshield, but when both cars passed there was still this green sphere going north at what I would call a slow speed, almost parallel to the ground.

It had what looked like heat or vapor coming off the back of it. It went in behind a farmers tree line and I could still see it well. (winter). I continued to watch it for about 20 seconds, not  counting the reflection time.

It disappeared below the horizon. There were no blinking lights on it. Instead of turning south to go into town, I went west to see if I could see it again. I didn’t. There was no airport or anything else in this area.

I saw no flash from a crash or fire on the ground. This was not a comet, plane, helicopter, or anything else from this planet. And no I had not started celebrating the New Year yet. I will never forget that 20 some odd seconds for the rest of my life.

I still look to the  night skies in hope of another sighting. I haven’t read much about green spheres. Any ideas.

Large Blue Green Object Seen Flying In The Sky Over Kansas

Time:  Approx: 2:00 a.m.

 

A post March 7th, 2012. It was last night at like 2:00 a.m., we were coming back from the airport.

 

We were almost home, when my brother and I both saw a big bluish/green light.

 

It wasn't flashing for anything, but it seemed as if it was on fire. Just as I saw it, I got this super hot feeling. After it disappeared, the feeling left. It only took like a second for it to disappear and it was most definitely too close for comfort.

 

It was low to earth. I live in Kansas. Weird.

It was sunny outside with some cloud coverage. No tracers or vapors were noticed. Not sure how long it was present. Another encounter.

Orange Glowing Object Over Scandia Kansas

Date: August 8, 2011

Time: Around midnight.

Hey, I have always been very skeptical about UFO sightings and stuff like that. I never thought it could be possible because of my religion and faith. After seeing this light last night and looking on Google and such, I now believe. I was with two other friends goofing around in the middle of a small town, Scandia, KS.

I looked up and I saw an orange glow. We all thought it was like a hot air balloon, in which there wouldn't be any around Scandia, definitely not around Midnight.

But as we stared at it, it moved kind of slow like from the left of my vision to the middle and slowly got smaller as if it was leaving earth. I just stopped and asked if we saw a spaceship. We didn't think much of it until I looked up "Orange UFO" on Google and saw these pictures in which look exactly like the one we saw.

I tried to take a picture on my phone camera, but it wasn't strong enough to get that orange glow. It did catch a small glow, but you can barely see it. Please contact me back, I would really really like to know if what we saw was correct.

3 Orange Lights Over Kansas State University Manhattan Kansas

Hi, A couple of weeks ago, I was walking on campus (Kansas State University) in Manhattan, KS in the U.S. I was walking to my car at about 9:00pm at night. I saw 3 orange lights in the sky, much like the ones you described, except the 3 that I saw were moving in unison, but one by one, they disappeared.

I just wanted to share with you. What do you think? I wish I had been smart enough to grab my camera, but I was so confused? I am a believer, and I was just frozen in place, staring at the lights for about 30 seconds. I look forward to hearing from you.

Grayish Blue Metallic Egg Shaped UFO Over Wichita Kansas

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I lived in a loft apartment on a downtown street in Wichita Kansas. To exit my loft I accessed the roof and went down stairs behind the building. Late one night I went out to keep an eye on a friend who was walking my dog. I stood on the roof, watching her. Something caught my eye and at first I thought it was a balloon, but it was a large, silent object gliding through the air over the back parking lot toward me.

It was oval or egg shaped, a grayish blue metallic color. There was some kind of rod or stick that came out of the back end. It was firm, not a string. It glided over my head as if it were on a wire. I ran to keep up with it and watched it go over my roof, over Douglas street and disappear into the night over the furniture store roof across the street.

Plane Shaped Craft Over Butler County Kansas

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I were driving back from shopping in Newton, to our home in rural Kansas. There was a small aircraft directly in front of us, flying west as we were driving east. It was very low, and moving at a very slow rate of speed, almost as if coming in for a landing right there on the road. I was driving, and moved closer to the windshield, because I was concerned about how low the aircraft was. My husband was also watching it closely.

He noticed that the wings were "boxy" at the ends. It looked, honestly, like a prop plane (propeller and all)...which is not uncommon in our area with crop dusting. My driver's side window was open, the radio down very low, and yet there was no noise from the "plane" at all. As we drove underneath it, there was still no noise, and I kept looking out my side and rear view mirrors, watching to see if it was starting to gain any altitude at all, or if it was still so very low.

My husband was looking out his side mirror as well, and when neither of us could see it with the mirrors, he turned around in his seat to look out the back windows. He told me it wasn't there, so we pulled over onto the side of the road to see where it had gone. Both of us got out of the car to look, but it had vanished. There are no trees in the area we were in, no hills, nothing to impede our view anywhere. It was simply gone. We looked higher up, further out, yet there was still nothing.

The craft was so low when we saw it that we could see windows in the front of it, but again, never heard anything whatsoever. We have racked our brains trying to come up with logical conclusions to this, but for an aircraft flying that low, and that slow...for it to have suddenly flew fast enough for us to miss seeing it behind us, it would have made noise. We both grew up in close proximity to an airforce base as children, and know that first hand.

In addition, we are able to hear the sound of prop planes all the time, even when they fly over at higher altitudes than what this "plane" was. We simply do not have a rational explanation for what we saw and then didn't see.

I'm not sure if this is the kind of thing you're looking for or not. I've been looking online to try to find some kind of explanation for what we experienced and found your site. Any information that you might be able to share with us would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Bright Reflective Silver UFO Over UMKC Campus Kansas City Missouri

Date: October 21, 2010

Time: 12:13 p.m.

Object movement: Northwest to southeast, Approximately 30 Degrees East from the Sun.

Object Description: Oval. Two shaded, dark silver bottom, upper bright reflective silver (in the Sun). Undulating at a fast steady speed. Comparison to a soda gas bubble in a glass.

The sky was crystal clear, visibility 30,000 feet. No birds in sight. No airplanes or helicopters.

A small wind breeze barely moved the tree tops.

I looked up southeast above the treetops at the sky when I noticed a floating shiny object that seemed to slowly zigzag across the sky. I thought it might be a weather balloon or a silver balloon they have at weddings.

It was undulating like a gas bubble in a glass of clear soda. It seemed to go up like a balloon, but after looking at it persistently I noticed it was not going up because it's relative diameter size was not decreasing from my point of view, it was simply moving forward.

It must have been big and at a high altitude for several reasons : A balloon at a high altitude would not have constantly changing and different shades of light/shadow reflection visible. With the reflection of the Sun it looked like an oval shape angled towards the Sun on the upper part. The top was reflecting the Sun light brightly and was easily distinguishable from the bottom part which seemed to change from dark grays to shiny lighter grays.

From it sideways tilt towards the Sun on it's right, it looked almost like it was powering itself with Solar energy.

I looked at it for probably 30 seconds and tried hardly not to blink.

There was no treetop obstruction, which makes it even more strange when I noticed it had simply vanished. I mean, it was there shinning and oscillating and then : Nothing. Blue sky.

I looked around and northeast to northwest a Jet plane, 1/8 of an inch in the sky was leaving it condensed air trail. Other than that no other object or bird was in the air.

Since it was lunch hour, I doubt anyone would have spent their time sky gazing.

UFOs Maneuver In The Night Sky Over Bentley Kansas

Hello Brian, I am (name removed) from Bentley, Kansas I have never really seen any UFO's but like one of your fans that have posted I seen some things on Saturday morning October the 9th 2010 that I honestly cannot explain.

It is the opening day for duck hunting in Kansas so a buddy and myself went to a lake about 2 hrs west of our location at around 4:00am or 5:00am. I was showing my friend where the 7 sisters where located in the stars and at that time we "both" seen 2 stationary "stars" started traveling at a high rate of speed going straight for each other.

It appeared they where going to collide and at that moment they slowed down dramatically and switched directions right before they would have collided and went in a north and south direction instead of previously east and west. Then almost immediately two more popped up, I turned to my friend and asked if he just seen that and just for my own sanity I asked him to tell me what he saw and he explained it to the T.

So was there something going on early that morning? Did we see what the other posters have seen? It truly freaked me and my friend out? Please get back to me on this.

The objects were about 100 yards a part. They both stayed hanging within sight for over 30 minutes. We have many acres and they seemed to be interested in a teepee we have up on our land? All I can say is, wow!

Glowing Amber Triangular Shaped UFO Over Kansas City Missouri

Time: Approx: 10:20 p.m.

Hello, at approximately 10:20pm, on July 25th, 2010, I took a photo of an amber glowing triangular shaped flying object slowly moving through the sky at an altitude lower than the plane that was above it. It was below the cloud level over Kansas City, Missouri traveling north until it finally disappeared into the clouds.

I have a photo from my phone which doesn't give an accurate reading of what I saw, but it's there. I am forwarding my photo taken by my phone in the next email.

Large Round Ball Of Fire Over Hays Kansas

Date: July 4, 2010

Time: Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Dear Brian, on July 4, 2010 while watching neighbors shoot off fireworks from across the street about 10:30 p.m., a large round ball of fire came cruising along from the Northeast to Southwest and sailed over my house. I live in Hays, Kansas. This was not fireworks. It sailed along like a kite would sail in the wind. The speed was constant and not wobbling.

If I put my thumb up to measure the ball, it was about the size of my thumb nail - very large - too large to be any falling star. It was not falling at all but was cruising along at a nice constant speed so that I could see it very well. I watched it go over my house, but then lost sight of it behind the trees in the back yard. This must have been the same sighting you had. Sure hope to hear more about this. Thanks.
