UFOs - Red Lights Hover And Blue Lights Form Vertical Line In The Sky South Of Chestermere Alberta (Diagram)

Date:  February 28, 2015
Time:  11:40 p.m. - 11:45 p.m.

Hi there, my name is (name removed) and I am 31 years old. I am writing this to see if someone else possibly saw the same thing I did.

Last night at 11:40 p.m. - 11:45 p.m. is when I witnessed this strange object. I live on an acreage about 20km east of Calgary, Alberta and about 1km south of Chestermere.

There are no city lights to tamper my view of the sky. What I viewed appeared to be hovering over Calgary, or possibly in between Calgary and Chestermere. I let my dog outside and was calling him back in when I noticed a bright flashing red light gliding quite slowly, headed south.

I assumed at this point that it was simply a plane as we have a good view of flights headed in and out of the Calgary airport. But after watching it for about 10 seconds it began to slow down and came to a complete stop in the sky.

It then completely reversed it's direction and began to head back north. As soon as it changed directions, it started to flash red and blue lights. At this point I figured it must just be a helicopter. But once again, it slowed down to a complete stop.

At this point, the red lights stopped and the blue lights moved together to form a vertical line. My heart started to beat extremely fast at this moment as I realized that what I saw was not a plane nor a helicopter.

The blue vertical line of light hovered for about 5-10 seconds and then poof, it vanished into thin air!

I then went outside to see if maybe it flew into a cloud, but there were absolutely no clouds in sight and I had a clear view of the stars in the sky. I waited and watched for another 20 minutes or so hoping to see it again, but all I saw were planes.

I have viewed many planes (and helicopters) from this location and I am convinced it was neither. It appeared to be hovering a lot lower that most planes fly and the speed at which it moved is what is really baffling. The fact that it stopped, changed directions and then changed it's form into a line, is even more baffling.

I do not drink or do drugs and was not seeing things. I am simply writing this to see if anyone else witnessed this also.

1949 Witness Observes UFO Make 90 Degree Turns/Hover Over Grand Island Nebraska

Date:  Fall of 1949
Time:  Evening.

Sir, I'm a real old guy (75), but I have a story to tell.

In the Fall of 1949 while a senior in high school, I attended a night football game.

I was sitting in the west bleachers facing east and at one point during the game I noticed a light in the eastern sky fairly low to the horizon.

It slowly kept rising and the first thing I thought of that it was a *mail plane*. They were flying old DC-3s for that purpose back then.

However, when it got up to about a 45 degree angle it stopped. I thought that that's odd.

After a few seconds it shot off to the north making a 90 degree angle and man it was fast.

It disappeared almost immediately. I've never forgotten this and ever since I've been a true believer in something out there.

3 Red Lights Travel Upward Hover Then Disappear Over Hartlepool North East England U.K.

Date:  December 27/28, 2014
Time:  Evening.

I saw three separate red lights over Hartlepool at the weekend.

They rose from ground level or the sea and then hovered before they disappeared. Then another 2 rose and did a similar thing.

I was viewing from high ground in Stainton, England, UK.

Fireball Splits In Two Then Comes To A Hover Over Spring Hill Florida (UFO)

 

Date:  March 8, 2012

Time:  8:15 p.m.

 

I was driving east and looking at the moon and above the moon of to the left, what I thought was a meteor was falling from the sky.

 

Almost instantly from the first sighting, it split into two fiery balls with tails. It moved downward toward the horizon then stopped and hovered in the sky for a few seconds then disappeared instantly.

 

I don't know what it was, but it was strange.

Additional Information:

 

Sorry I'm in Spring Hill, Florida. It was at 8:15 p.m. on March 8 2012. It was in the eastern sky started above 45 degree Mark and traveled down toward the horizon to about 40 degree.

 

They stopped and hovered for about 5 seconds, then disappeared.

 

It was amazing and very strange. At first I thought it was space junk burning up, but when it stopped I knew this was not the case. Have a good day.

Star Like Object Comes To A Hover Then Moves Off Over Littleover Derby UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was walking my dog when by coincidence I looked to my left and saw what I thought must have been a star. Being a bit of an amateur star gazer I carried on looking at it whilst trying to figure out what star it could have been, when suddenly it seemed to be coming closer and closer and then it just hung there in suspense and hurtled off back.

 

I went home and did some research as I thought it may have been the ISS, but it wasn't so I came here and reported the sighting.

Bright Glowing Orange Flame Object Came To A Hover And Shot Off Over Gum Spring Virginia

 

Date:  December 31, 2011

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

 

Mr. Vike, I have not ever believed in UFO's, until last night. 

While shooting off an early round of fireworks in front of our home in Gum Spring, Virginia, a flame like object approached us from the west. 

 

It appeared to have no defined shape and glowed a bright orange. It slowed as it approached and stopped for just a moment. 

 

While I couldn't believe my own eyes, the rest of my house guests were on the front porch and assured me they were seeing the same thing those of us standing in the Cul-de-sac were. After it stopped a moment, it then turned and headed south with amazing speed. 

 

There was no noise associated with it, and I cannot tell you what it was, and neither could anyone else who saw it. There were five adults present, three teenagers, a preteen boy and a child that all saw the same thing. 

 

Incident occurred about 10:00 p.m., on December 31st, 2011.  Weather was clear. I hope you one day figure out what this is.

UFO Came To A Hover Over Great Ocean Road Port Campbell Victoria Australia

 

Date:  January 2000

Time:  Late evening.

 

Hi Brian, I am emailing you because I read a story on the internet and I wanted you to know that my friend and I saw a UFO off the Great Ocean Road near Port Campbell around January of the year 2000. We were sleeping in the back of our car looking up at the stars this night and we saw some kind of aircraft with white lights.

 

It was kind of flying slowly into view from off to the right. It stopped and just hovered there for awhile. My friend and I had time to say to each other, 'can you see what I  can see?' and 'what the hell is that' before it suddenly flew away into the distance at an incredible speed.

 

The amazing thing was that it seemed to get further and further away, and then in the far distance we saw a little orange flare, as though it was leaving the atmosphere if you know what I mean?

 

You're definitely not alone because I have found quite a lot of other reports around the Great Ocean Road. It seems to be a hot spot for sightings. Cheers.

Bright Light Comes To A Hover Over Midland Ontario

 

Date:  Between April 18, 2011 and April 26, 2011

Time:  Around 10:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.

 

Well I just wanted to tell you about my UFO sighting in between the days of April 18th 2011 and April 26th 2011. My location is Midland, Ontario Canada and it was late I guess around 10:00 p.m. –11:00 p.m.

 

I went outside for a smoke and was looking at the beautiful stars, when out of nowhere a very bright light appeared.

 

It hovered for a couple seconds then started to move to the right very smoothly then it stopped got bright, then dim. It moved a bit more to the right and went yellow in color got smaller then just disappeared.

 

It really freaked me out and it definitely was not a plane. Am I the only one who seen this UFO.

Red UFO Changes Colour And Comes To A Hover In Ireland

Date: About 1988

Time: Evening.

I saw something in Ireland too, but it was about 1988. It was a red light that looked like a flare, but zig zagged up and down and side to side in impossible movements by conventional aircraft. I followed it and it stopped for about 15 minutes above a local factory. It then shone a white light and changed to blue and moved over a hill.

I followed again and got to a sight that was a quiet marsh. The red floated over the marsh, changed colour again to blue and disappeared over the hill.

Funny thing is that Googled the key words and found a newspaper archive from the 1800's in the UK where a similar event was witnessed.

Bright Light Comes To A Hover Over Midland Ontario Canada

Still More Witnesses Come Forward - UFO Splits Up Seen From Peoria Arizona

Date: March 18, 2011

Time: Between 7:40 p.m. to 7:50 p.m.

Hello, I'm so glad you posted this. My family and I were starting to feel like we were crazy. On 3/18 between 7:40 to 7:50pm my family and I were driving west on northern somewhere between 75th and AZ10 when we too saw what we thought was a shooting star. When we realized it was too big and orange to be a star, I then thought it might be a meteor.

It was traveling fast and at about a 45 degree angle towards the ground. Then it appeared to split into two smaller meteors (my husband said he saw three, but my son and I only saw two) still heading toward the ground and traveling at high speed. They sort of zig-zagged then merged back into one and then all at once, that thing split into five orbs that hovered in the sky!

The lower of the five orbs sort of rocked back and forth slightly. We watched the five orbs hover in the sky for awhile, maybe 2 - 5 minutes then we lost sight of them in the sky for a bit because we were driving, but when we could see them again, they had merged back into one bigger orb still hovering in the sky (we presume they merged - we didn't see them move, but the orb was bigger than the individual five and there was only one now).

We lost sight of it again and when we looked back, it was gone. I wish I had had the presence of mind to get out my camera, but my mind kept trying to rationalize what I was seeing and I was just too stunned to react. Would love to hear from others if they saw something similar or can explain what we saw! Also, there were 4 in our car that witnessed it.

Bright Orange UFO Zig Zags Then Comes To A Hover Over Phoenix Arizona

It was bright orange and it went from looking like it was falling to moving in a quick zig zag type motion and then just stopped.

UFO - Bright Light Comes To A Hover Over Sennybridge Brecon UK

Date: 1980

Time: Approx: 10:15 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Army Soldier on exercise at Sennybridge Training area on top of hill with army re-broadcast station. I was sitting in land rover when I seen a bright white light in sky to the north, which just arrived suddenly. (not an military aircraft)

It stood still in the sky then, accelerated very fast (too fast for our military helicopters) to the east about 1/2 mile then came to a standstill and remained there for several minutes. We woke up Colour Sgt (name removed) who was with me and pointed it out. He acknowledged its presence.

It then shot at great speed to the west and stopped again, still after several more minuets it zigg-zagged at a great acceleration several times and then again at great speed and acceleration shot up wards and disappeared.

Bearing in mind we were both used to the military aircraft on the Sennybridge training area, neither of us could explain the fast acceleration and de-acceleration of the extremely white light? We made no report of it at the time as we did not want any ridicule from our colleagues.

I noticed that you had a report in your database which matches my description in the same area in 1980. The passing of time means I cannot give a definitive date for the incident. (Hengoed, South Wales 1980) which is very close to where we sighted the bright light.

Cannot explain what this light was from the technology that we had for flight at the time, it was definitely not a military aircraft

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Taking a walk with my family, on a beautiful clear evening. We were looking at the stars in the sky, noticing how bright and clear they were. A very bright "star" appeared off in the distance and quickly came to hover in place above us. It was about 4 times brighter than any star.

After hovering motionless for about 2 minutes, the round object started to move from side to side with abrupt stops, while doing this motion faster and faster. I estimate it did this movement about 6 times and quickly zoomed away in a straight line and disappeared.

UFO Zig Zags And Comes To A Hover In The Sky Outside Of Lancaster Pennsylvania

Date: 1991

Time: After dark.

Location of Sighting: Outside of Lancaster Pennsylvania.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We are from the Philadelphia area and were on a family trip to Lancaster, PA. Even in 1991, it was hard to see alot of stars in our area, so we decided to stop the car at night and get out and look up at the sky in awe, because of how many stars that could be seen. (Way less light pollution at the time than there is now I'm sure.)

I believe this was along route 30 at the time. We noticed a "star" that was out of place and color, and when we were all looking at it, it all of the sudden got larger (as if it came down closer to us). Then after hovering there for about 20 or 30 seconds, it zig zagged to one side, then the other, about 1/10th of our field of vision in distance. It changed directions instantly without stopping, curving or accelerating. Then hovered again for about 10 seconds, then zapped right out of the atmosphere.

It looked like it zapped off into space and was out of sight within a second or 2. When it did zap out into space, it did one last zig zag, but it was a much smaller one. (Either that or it covered so much distance in a short amount of time that it appeared to be a smaller lateral movement than it was because of the distance.)

This is totally real, and has had me damn curious, if not obsessed with getting the truth ever since. I have always been into aviation and planes. I have been to airshows on a regular basis, and this silent object was not a conventional aircraft. Please email me with any questions.

Bright Orange Light Comes To A Hover Over Steenburg Lake Gilmour Ontario

I was on-line trying to find any information on a strange sighting and came across your webpage asking for any reporting's, so I’d thought I’d share my story with you. My husband and I were stargazing in our hot-tub on Sunday, September 5th, 2010 at our Steenburg lake cottage in Gilmour, Ontario.

It was about 9:30 at night and it was a remarkably starry night. I noticed a bright orange red object through the tree line and commented to my husband how bright that plane was.

When it cleared the tree line, it was obviously bright orange with a very fuzzy edge. It was like looking at a traffic light. It was about the size of a full moon and travelling east extremely slowly and actually stopped and hovered for a minute or two. It didn’t take us long to realize that this was not a plane or anything familiar. It began moving slowly again and dropped down below the tree line out of sight.

I have to be honest and tell you that I was quite scared. I have no concept of how near or far it was as it was so bright, I had no concept of distance. There was no noise. We posted a message on our cottage lake association and got one response back from some one else that saw the same thing. We have not connected yet to swap stories. I have been amazed at the number of similar sightings on line. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Orange Ball Comes To A Hover Over Lake Delavan Wisconsin

Brian, at Lake Delavan tonight and just had another sighting of orange ball. The ball came over the east side of the lake, headed toward us (we're on the west side of lake) hung there for a while, and then seemed to fade out. My family also saw it on the 4th of July weekend and can't stop talking about it.

Illuminated UFO Comes To A Hover Over Vernon, British Columbia

Date: June 2000
Time: Approx: 2:00 a.m.

I find this very interesting, I was living in Vernon, B.C. in June of 2000 and was working as a care giver for a quadriplegic. I had just finished getting up at about 2:00 a.m. to perform some care for her. I went out for a smoke and was looking at the lake when a very bright light came in over the hill and hovered over the lake.

I first thought it was a search and rescue aircraft, but realized there was no sound and the whole craft was illuminated and it wasn't just a search light. I watched it for about 2 to 3 minutes then the light dimmed and it took off straight at a high speed behind the hills and was gone. I always thought it was just my imagination, but maybe not. I hope you get a chance to find out more on these sightings. I'll keep watching the skies.
