UFO Moves At Strange Angles Over Massena New York

Time:  Late evening.

 

Hello Mr. Vike, I live in Massena, NY (just south of Cornwall, ON).  Yesterday the temperature here was about 70 degrees F. So instead of sleeping on the end of my bed that I normally sleep on, I flipped around and slept on the other end where there is a window. 

 

So there I lay dozing off, when suddenly a train off in the distance blew its whistle and woke me up. I kind of glanced off at the sky,  it was a really clear night and you could see quite a few stars, and I noticed that one star shone brighter than the others. 

 

I started to look at it and noticed that it was flickering in a kind of strange manner. It was by far the largest star, but was not abnormally large. When I looked closer, I noticed it would dim kind of yellow, and then would get a slightly red hue. 

 

It was one central light and then every few seconds a light would shoot off down at a 45 degree angle one way, and then a 45 degree angle the other way so it looked sort of like this: /'\ -- Granted, the angles were not that extreme, but just to give you an idea. 

 

The apostrophe represents the main light shining, and the slashes were the flickers every few seconds or so. Just wondering if there was any other reports of this in Massena. 

 

The funny thing is that I dismissed it as probably a plane or something, but as I watched for 20-30 minutes I noticed that it wasn't moving (using my neighbor's house as a reference point). 

 

I eventually tired of it, and rolled over to go to sleep. I was awoken by a strange feeling of extreme anxiousness, rolled over and decided to check if the light had moved.

 

It had. It was completely gone. A "star" or a "plane that didn't move for 20-30 minutes" just vanished. I checked back regularly throughout the night and it never reappeared. The sky was completely clear. 

 

Just wondering if anybody else saw anything like this or if you've ever heard of anything like this. It was almost directly south. Also, throughout the night I was woken by a number of nightmares, the only of which I remember my best friend yelling my name, and trying to shoo my dog into the house as he looked up at the sky. 

 

Strange and interesting. Just looking for some feedback as to possibilities. Sincerely.

Star Like Object Comes To A Hover Then Moves Off Over Littleover Derby UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was walking my dog when by coincidence I looked to my left and saw what I thought must have been a star. Being a bit of an amateur star gazer I carried on looking at it whilst trying to figure out what star it could have been, when suddenly it seemed to be coming closer and closer and then it just hung there in suspense and hurtled off back.

 

I went home and did some research as I thought it may have been the ISS, but it wasn't so I came here and reported the sighting.

Witness Follows Triangular Shaped UFO As It Moves About Over McAllen Texas

 

Date:  August 13, 2009

Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

 

Just today, August 13 2009, at about 9:30 p.m. I witnessed a strange aircraft hovering above Ware Rd. and Dove. It had a blinding light pointed at my car that resembled the spotlight from a helicopter. This particular aircraft however did not have the signature lights a chopper would, so I followed it.

 

It begun to move north at the speed of a jet airplane. I followed behind northbound on 29th off of Dove. When I approached Lark it was already passed 5 mile and decided to hover. It was at that point, looking from Lark and 29th, that I could tell it was no chopper.

 

This aircraft seemed to be in a triangular shape with lights on the edges and bright lights on the 3 corners. The lights blinked in an odd sequence and in multiple colors. It seems this aircraft masks itself as a chopper, but from certain angles it’s cloak is rendered useless.

 

To get a better view I turned westbound on Lark as it decided to travel west as well. As I turned north on Ware Rd. the aircraft seemed to change shape slowly. I turned west again on Trenton off of Ware Rd. to follow the aircraft that seemed to be hovering further southwest from Trenton and Ware Rd.

 

Once I came within what seemed to be a mile of the aircraft on Bentson and Trenton, the aircraft changed to camouflage perfectly in the sky. It seemed as though I was looking at a star. Within the same moment the craft's lights came back on and it started moving southbound and so did I.

 

This craft was moving so fast, there is no way in hell it was a chopper, at least not one I have ever heard of. By the time my car traveling at 45mph reached 4 mile line, the craft was clear into Mexico and hovered, until it either disappeared or landed. 

 

Twenty minutes later, 9:50 p.m., I spotted a second aircraft hovering just next to the radio towers on Dove in-between 23rd and 10th St. Being within 200 yards, I thought the craft clearly resembled a chopper for sure. By the time I approached the canal eastbound I could see in my mirror that it was no chopper.

 

It was the same type of aircraft from before. I hit my breaks and turned into the parking lot just west of Gold's Gym to get a better look at the craft traveling southwest from that point. Why would a chopper hover right next to a radio tower in low viability?

 

They wouldn't. What was that craft doing? Was it government or something else? Why did they fly off into Mexico? I was finally traveling east on Fern off of 2nd St. and had a 3rd sighting, this time at a distance. I saw a third craft hovering next to another radio tower just a few miles east of the second sighting.

 

This craft resembled the previous 2 in light patterns and flight. None of the 3 crafts were flying in a point A to point B pattern as a chopper would, police or otherwise. These crafts flew as one would for a joyride or sightseeing. Cloaked as a chopper at that. Any explanations?

 

Anybody who has lived in McAllen, TX as long as I have knows you will never see 3 choppers flying within the same 3 minutes and within a few square miles of visibility. I feel as dumb as those cooks that come on TV saying they saw a UFO. I make fun of those guys, now I am one.

UFO Moves Toward Witnesses At Westexe South Tiverton UK

Sometime during the sixties, I cannot remember the year during the late evening in Westexe South Tiverton. We were saying goodbye to friends when we noticed a globe of light which appeared to be circling the town and gradually losing altitude.

It became apparent that the object was in fact solid and illuminated in some way, we were unable to calculate the size. One of our friends took a powerful torch from his vehicle which he flashed in the direction of the object, to our surprise the object became immediately stationery and began to move in our direction.

At this point the ladies became very frightened returning to the house, followed by one of the males. The object continued to approach my friend and I, at this point we became very uneasy we to returned to the house losing sight of the object.

Following much discussion, and I must admit regaining our nerve we again looked for the object, we did not see it again.

The object was also observed by workers at the John Heathcoat factory and I believe reported in the local newspaper. I can give no explanation of what the object was.

I am however certain that it was not a natural phenomenon, but controlled by some form of intelligence.

Unusual Object Moves Across The Sky Over Warrington UK

 

Date:  April 24, 2011

Time:  11:15 p.m.

Hello Brian, my name is (name removed) and I live in Warrington UK. It's halfway between Liverpool and Manchester.

I was outside at 23.15, looking up at the stars as I had my last cigarette of the day. I noticed a single star get significantly brighter, just south of the Plough constellation.

I watched it as it remained in place for around a minute. It appeared from nowhere as if powering up. No movement.

Then it started to move west at a speed similar to that of a jet at altitude. There was no perceivable acceleration.

It was still, then moving. It moved across the sky about two hand lengths (if hands outstretched). This took about 10 seconds. During this time I argued with myself:

Shooting star? Too slow.

Helicopter? Too high, too quiet.

Jet? Stationary? No! and no flashing lights.

Then it moved straight up from a horizontal to vertical path and faded slowly away. The moment it disappeared, 2 parallel shooting stars came from the north behind me and across the path it had just flown.

I had not drank anything and the cigarette was 'straight'.

I hope this makes sense as I'm still a little excited and hope it is of interest to you.

Boomerang Shaped UFO Lights Up The Sky As It Moves Overhead

 

Date:  Around 1977

Time:  Evening.

 

Folk, this wasn't in the region you asked about, but the tremendous scale and the opportunity to communicate with someone else who has seen such a thing, motivated me to write. In around 1977 on a night during warm season, I saw something of a similar shape fly "blipping" rapidly northbound across the western horizon. It seemed very clear that it must have been immense, and at a great distance from us, and moving at many times.

 

Additional Information:

 

Writing this on phone, apologies, will remember how easily an email can get messed up on the phone.

The craft, or energy field, or whatever it was, appeared to be flying on it’s side, leading edge being the pointed central "nose" as one might expect, and a near-perfect boomerang shape was the strong lasting impression.

The speed had to have been greater than almost anything around (at least anything officially acknowledged) at that time with the way that it lit up the sky, crossing and simultaneously filling the whole western horizon, flashing or blipping rapidly as it swooshed in a silent splashy zoom across the whole western quarter of the night sky.

 

One of the town jocks and I were both facing west and both said something like "what was that." We were not friends and we never spoke of it again, bravery against ridicule in a small town is tough enough just for being oneself announcing something anomalous toward which people are generally socialized to be derisive about and which I had no framework for and likely no corroboration of.

 

It didn't warrant a second thought for decades. Anyway, this thing was oscillating or flashing light/dark at a rhythm maybe comparable to raking a stick along a picket fence at a smooth cruising speed on bicycle and very lit up in it’s lighted phase.

 

When I saw the scale of the outlying immensity of the Denver airport, I had a chilling sensation of realization that such craft could potentially be landed there and not much else I could think of could explain flattening and paving such a vast continuous plane in such a mountainous area, just saying'.

Well, my keyboard pulled some annoying shenanigans I've never seen before as I was writing this. I hope it is helpful toward creating a more whole picture eventually and thanks for writing about your experience. It is the most similar sighting I have found in over ten years of occasional search. This time it just came my way via an Astronomy page.

Stationary UFO Finally Moves Off Over Salem Arkansas

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was at a rural baseball park watching my son play ball. The game started late and all other games were over and park was dark except son's game. I was in the parking lot watching the game, and I was only person in the lot.

 

It was hot and the windows were down in my car. I looked up and to the west and there was a really bright object just sitting up in the air, making no sound. I did not observe this object for a few seconds or minutes. This object was there for 2 and half hours! The object stayed for the rest of the ballgame.

 

The light was so bright you could not look at it for very long. I would watch it out the corner of my eye and straight on for as long as possible. This object was quite low could not have been star, moon, airplane or anything like that. When it would move, it "floated" and I have never seen anything in the sky that moved like this object did.

 

After watching it for an hour, I could make out some type of moving motion around the craft, very hard to explain. The minute the game was over I thought, "great other people will see it", but as soon as the last pitch was thrown it floated off to the west at a really slow rate of speed.

 

I have never seen anything paranormal before and I am not one to "see things", I was so shocked I could not sleep that night and a few after. This maybe will sound crazy, but I got the feeling they were "watching" the game and I had a feeling that I have never had before, that this craft was not from this world.

 

Believe me, I know how it sounds, but this was a 2 hours of watching the craft. I was 30 miles from my home and at that time had no cell phone. I felt like I had to speak up for all the people who are made fun of for telling the truth.

Bright Light Moves In Erratic Movements Maisemore Gloucestershire UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Fell asleep in chair in front of television. At approximately 3:00am I awoke for some reason, and as I approached bottom of stairs, I decided to put cat out. Whilst on door step I noticed what a beautiful starry night it was, and stood gazing for a while at all the stars.

Then I noticed a bright star moving, but it wasn't moving straight. It was moving up then down, then across. After approximately 30 seconds it went off, or I lost sight of it. Fascinated by what I'd seen, I continued gazing in approximately the same location, and after a minute I saw it again, or a different one, and the same thing happened.

Very erratic movements and very fast. This one also appeared to eventually veer off to my right, and it was gone. Fascinating and don't have a clue what it was!

Bright Light Moves Quickly Through The Sky Between Vanderhoof And Prince George British Columbia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving on Hwy 16 East from Vanderhoof home to Prince George. I was about half way, maybe closer to Prince George. The sky was very dark and clear. I looked up to enjoy the stars, and I saw a very bright white light far away in the sky.

Almost like a comet passing through the atmosphere, but just a bright white light passing in one straight line horizontally north to south, with no tail. Just one bright light zipping by faster than anything I've ever seen.

Bright Light Moves Up And Down Over White Rock British Columbia

Date: November 3, 2010

Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

My wife and I were walking along the boardwalk in White Rock, British Columbia and a woman called from outside her home to look up in the sky. We looked up and saw a yellow ball (orb) of bright light in the southeastern sky at about 65 degrees above the horizon.

We could not tell what it was, as none of the three of us had ever seen anything like this before. It hovered like a helicopter, but appeared to be quite close and from our perspective, it would have been about 3x the size of a helicopter or a bit larger. We doubted whether it could be any kind of helicopter because the ball of light was a complete orb and there was no distinction of any other form around or in the light.

It hovered at about 65 degrees for about 30 seconds, then dropped down to about 45 degrees for another 30 seconds then went back up to 65 degrees above the horizon and then it started to move away in a southwesterly direction. We watched until the ball went down to about 50 percent of it’s size and then it just totally disappeared like blowing out the flame of a candle.

I have no idea what this was and both myself and my wife and the people we spoke to on the pier have never seen anything like that and nobody had any ideas on what it was. We both have never seen any UFOs and therefore have never believed in any such thing. In any event, this occurrence has no rationale explanation for us albeit we are not very knowledgeable about what kinds of things this could be.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This was years ago and I did file a report then, but they never recovered the photos I got. About 10 years ago or so, I saw a big white light in the night sky. I was watching it for a while and I noticed that it was moving too fast to be a plane or helicopter, and too slow to be a comet or meteor.

It kept moving back and forth, back and forth pretty quickly. It was so bright sometimes, it looked like it was on fire or something. It was too far up in the sky in order for me to tell exactly what it was or what shape it was, but I'm guessing round because it was like a little ball of light.

UFO Stops And Moves Quickly Off In The Skies Above Bothwell, Ontario

Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

On Sunday the 13 of September at around 10:00pm, my son and I were out on are back deck. My son noticed something in the sky doing strange movements. He showed me where it was in the sky. We watched this thing stop and stay in one place then move very fast one way, then stop and move a different way. This object was up pretty high, around 20 to 30,000 feet. It had a blinking red light and a very bright light at the back. This was unbelievable the way this thing would stop and jet across the sky in seconds. This was not a jet or any man made thing (plus I'm a jet buff). After around 2 minutes of watching this thing move around the sky, it stopped once again for a few seconds then disappeared at a angle upward.
