Date: December 31, 2010
Time: 11:52 p.m.St. Petersburg, FL- New Years Eve 2010, at 11:52pm, we saw the first glowing orange light moving from SE to NW. Very steady pace, no noise, no tail. About 3 minutes later, a formation of 3 passed on the same path. A few minutes that, two additional lights passed moving in the same direction, only slightly west of the original ones.
There were several more following the original path over the course of about 15 minutes. Of the several we saw, two “burned out” while in view, but all of the others moved in a NW direction until out of sight. Very odd, not sure the Chinese lantern makes sense, but nothing else does either.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
