Time: Approx: 8:30 p.m.Last night, January 2nd, 2011 at approximately 8:30pm Pacific Standard time, my husband called me to come out on our back deck as he had witnessed an extremely bright orange ball moving across the sky, from north to south, quite slowly. I managed to see some of it too, before it was obscured by buildings. It was quite amazing and a brilliant orange fire colour.
It didn't look like a meteor or space debris entering the earth's atmosphere, which we've seen many times as there was no "tail" on this object, very silent and it was moving slowly. We are in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada.
