Bright Orange/Yellow Object In The Sky Over Orange Connecticut

Date:  September 25, 2014
Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

I was walking my dog around 10:30 p.m. I turned my head and out of nowhere there was this extremely bright orange-yellowish object elevating, it was elevating for about 2 minutes.

After the 2 minutes the object got dimmer and started flying forward towards my direction. When the object passed me the light was moving around as if it were look for something because the object was flying a little slow.

I was terrified because that object had not made a single sound as it flew by. Please give me an explanation to what I seen.

Light Seen Circling Above The Clouds North West Of Waterbury Connecticut

Date:  August 23, 2014
Time:  9:30 p.m.

Saw strange circling light above clouds. Northwest of Waterbury CT. 9/23/14 at 9:30 p.m. 4 witnesses.

Very similar to your sighting. Never seen something like that before.

Strange Unknown Light Seen Over The State Of Connecticut

Hi, I was looking up online to see if anyone else saw this strange light in the sky, it had blue, red and white lights. I zoomed in with my camera and something was moving around it.

 

I also took some pictures and it changed shape every time.

Mysterious Orange Lights Spotted Flying In The Sky Over The State Of Connecticut (Video Footage)

Time:  Approx: 8:30 p.m.

 

Hi Brian, on 3/24/2012 around 8:30 p.m. EST my boyfriend and I saw these mysterious orange lights flying across the sky one by one until eventually each one disappeared.

 

We were watching these lights for about 5 minutes. A few minutes in we noticed a line of cars pulling over to the side of the road all to watch these lights.

 

Towards the end we then saw spotlights shining to the sky as If a number of people were trying to figure out what these lights were.

 

 

I wouldn't think planes could travel as close as these did and also there were no stars in the sky to question anything else. Here is the video we had taken.

Orange Glowing Object Seen In The Sky From Lebanon Connecticut

Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

 

Brian, not sure what I saw tonight, but it peeked my interest enough to go inside and get my binoculars and investigate further.

 

But, it was gone by the time I returned.

 

It didn't appear like an airplane because it remained stationary and didn't appear to have a blinking light as most planes do.

 

I was basically in the northern direction low in the sky, with a warm orange glow compared to the other stars. Pretty bright in comparison, too. 

 

I thought it was a planet because it did not twinkle. It was stationary for at least 2 to 3 minutes before I went in to get the binoculars so I ruled out a private or commercial plane, weird.

 

Has anyone seen anything like this or am I seeing things?

I live in Lebanon, CT and it was about 10:30 PM...less than an hour ago!

 

I went out to plug my damn cell phone in my truck and happened to look up and there it was! Not so sure I believe in UFO's, but if someone saw the same thing. I want to know.

Neon Green Light Brightens Up An Area In New London Connecticut

Right around that time last night I was driving my boyfriend home from work and I saw the sky light up bright green, but looked like it came from one specific area and looked like it was from the ground.

 

It did it 3 times, my boyfriend only saw it the last time, but he saw it too. We could not find anything anywhere that would make that happen. I live all the way in New London, Connecticut.

Light Circling In The Sky Over Mid Connecticut United States

 

Date:  March 24, 2012

Time:  11:00 p.m.

 

I live in mid Connecticut and this is the second night in a row now that I have seen a light circling in the sky. It was around 10:00 p.m. and last night and 11:00 p.m. tonight.

I have seen the same thing in FL before with 4 circling lights, but I had assumed they were spotlights from a nearby amusement park.

Another time was in MA, which was very similar to my first sighting. I thought it was kind of odd, but blew it off.

This being my third sighting has spiked my interest. I am very curious as to what it is. It's so eerie! The way the light penetrates the clouds leads me to believe that there is no way it is coming from the ground.

 

It continues to make the same circle. The light is very bright when it hits the cloud, and the beam disappears shining downward. If this light were coming from the ground, I feel like the beam would be constant and stop when it hit the cloud, rather than it disappearing in the downward direction.

 

Hard to explain, but it definitely gets you thinking.

Large Green Object Travels Across The Sky Over Hamden Connecticut

Hi, I live in Hamden, Connecticut and I saw the light from my couch while watching TV. I was surprised by how bright and fast it was. I have seen a lot of meteorites, but never a green one.

 

There was a small plane in view add it passed the plane was tiny in comparison.

Green Light Seen In The Sky Over Guilford Connecticut

Hi Brian, my name is (name removed). I saw the green light in the sky, too. I was in Guilford, Connecticut driving on 95 and saw it around 8:15 p.m. as well. 

 

Seconds afterwards I noticed 4 helicopters in the sky. Two of the helicopters had blue and red lights which made me think they could be police helicopters. 

 

I am surprised others saw it so far away in New Jersey, because I thought it seemed closer. I'm so interested as to what it could be.

Unknown Screeching Noises At Pachaug Connecticut (Sasquatch/Bigfoot ?)

 

My friend and I have been hunters for a while and we have heard similar screeching noises. 

 

We live in Connecticut as well. We live around the Pachaug area and have heard some noises that do not sound like animals native to Connecticut (coyotes, turkeys, deer, foxes, etc.).

20 Orange Lights Over Winsted Connecticut

My son just called me as he was out walking his dog and said he saw 20 of the same objects this person was posting about. He said the orange lights appeared out of no where, there was no sound, but close like a low flying aircraft, but he couldn't see any body to them or hear any noise.

 

He lives right by a lake and it is very quiet and they were in a circle and they started moving single file and then disappearing one by one. Then three reappeared and disappeared again. He is in Winsted, CT this was at approx. 10:00 p.m. April 8, 2011.

Objects Coming Out Of The Water At Bridgeport Harbor Connecticut

 

Date:  December 8, 2011

Time:  Evening.

 

My name is (name removed), me and may others have been seeing the same lights. I live in CT and I was in I-95 coming back from orange and I had look out over the water and seen a formation. We went to Bridgeport Harbor and seen them coming out of the water.

 

They stayed in a certain area, then move around. They were bright blinking lights, sometimes in unison, and would just disappear and come back. I saw a few over Bridgeport city and there was a smaller grey ball that came out of it and hovered over the tree line. 

 

I was watching this all night long. I also seen a building size object come flying out of the sky trailing a silver mist, like it was burning up. It was a black square object in the center of it. It came down with the rest of the lights in the sky and stayed there.

 

There were three main ones that stayed always in the same spot, you could see smaller ones coming out and going to the waters surface. I have been seeing this for days with many people. Tonight there was a helicopter circling the lights with a spotlight, they were everywhere, about twenty of them, with smaller ones around them.

 

This has been going on for over a week now, I want to know why this is happening, I know I’m not the only one who has seen this. We need to gain the attention of the news networks because you can se them crystal clear for hours on end, exactly how I said.

 

It is unreal, please call me as soon as possible and I will let you know if I see them again. Maybe you can see them from where you are as well and we can report this. It needs to be looked into, my number is (phone number removed) call any time, day or night.

 

They are out there this second, I just came back from watching it with my friends.

Witness Observes Objects Of Different Colors Over New Haven Connecticut

Full Description of Event/Sighting: For the past 5 years, almost on a nightly basis I observe orbs at different locations throughout the state. I live a block away from a major airport. I am well aware of the green and red blinking lights all planes have according to F.A.A flight regulations.

 

The orbs I have witnessed have completely different flight characteristics than any man made aircraft that I'm aware of. The orbs seem to appear out of nowhere and travel in a strange flight paths and irregular patterns.

 

They come to complete stops and turn in 90 degree angles, both vertically and horizontally. I am 100% positive what I am witnessing is not a domestic aircraft's flight pattern. The color ranges from brilliant blues to amber yellows.

Bright White Light Over Leetes Island Road Towards Stony Creek Connecticut

Date: July 14, 2011
Time: Evening.

OK, so its July 14th 2011 and about an hour ago while driving down Leetes Island Road towards Stony Creek I saw a bright white light move high in the sky from right to left and dive down below the tree line. Judging from its distance, it seemed pretty far away and pretty high up.

Too high to be a firework and had more of a solid consistent light to it. It did not appear to be a meteor as well. ( no trailing tail) as soon as I arrived to my destination (stony creek) I stood in the parking lot for a little while, maybe 15 minutes, then began to observe much more air traffic in the form of planes flying around the area overhead.

I counted 10 planes within the course of about 7 minutes. Not sure if this was a "sighting", but when I Googled "bright white light in the sky Ct." All these articles popped up to my amazement with stories very similar to mine. Very strange.

Milky White To Orange Colored UFO Appears To Look Like The Moon Over Bristol Connecticut

Time: 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

A Vike Factor Note: Sometimes things get confusing for folks, so I thought I would mention that I, Brian Vike did not witness any of these types of sightings. I reside in a small town here in Houston, British Columbia Canada. Any sightings I have had have taken place here in Houston, and no where’s else.

Over Bristol watershed, coming from the south, starting as a bright white light that could be a plane coming from the Bristol airport as they appear to turn toward the east over Bristol reservoir #2, appearing like the moon travelling at the speed of a small plane and going below the tree line. It turned from white to orange as it went, and there was no audible sound.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I believe I first saw something that looked like the moon, except that it was travelling at what appeared to be the speed of a small plane and descending low over the tree line on the night of 2/23/11 sometime between the hours of 9:00 and 10:00pm. I saw the same thing again the next night, this time as I watched it turned from a milky white color to orange as it moved through the sky.

I then Googled something like orange disc shaped lights over Bristol CT, which led me to a site titled "Reports". In the 48th section from the top I found the link "6 to 7 Red Objects - Terryville and Wolcott, CT. The article describes a sighting at the Terryville fairgrounds last 4th of July, and at the bottom it had your contact info and I sent you this email.

I thought you were the person who had the sightings, so I was a little surprised to find your name connected to different sightings at many different locations. Where are you located and what is your function and relation to these websites and sightings? Also, I mentioned your name to a friend who is currently at a UFO conference in Arizona.

Orange Lights Over Greenwich In Fairfield County Connecticut United States

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was out walking my dog, when I looked up in the sky to see the moon or starts, but it was very cloudy. The only things I saw were (2) weird orange lights moving low and slow, from South to North. Since I was (4) years in the Military I can distinguish airplane engine noises, but these (2) object I could not hear anything.

I can hear the traffic behind me, but no faint or echoing airplane noise's. By the time I went back in to get my camera, one object faded away and the other was faintly disappearing into the cloudy sky.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was driving southwest heading home from the DMV. Me and my two siblings saw an almond shaped orange glowing thing in the sky. Not long after spotting it, a jet with a contrail of smoke race's toward this orange UFO.

As the jet got closer, the object seemed to be moving away from the jet closing in from the east.

Golden Orange Lights Over Redding Connecticut (Chinese Lanterns)

Date: December 31, 2010

Time: 10:15 p.m.

Hi Vike, after alerting friends and family of the orange UFOs over Redding CT at 10:15 pm New Year's Eve, one sent the posting from January 1 on your website describing the site (http://unitedstatesufo.blogspot.com/2011/01/10-golden-orange-lights-over-redding.html) .

My wife and I saw the same objects, and were initially stunned, it was quite a dramatic sight. After Googling that evening various terms, however, upon entering "orange UFOs" I came across links to a company that sells "Chinese sky lanterns" and I think that's what we saw, the photos and videos available online appear very similar to what we saw crossing over our house.

The one caveat was that on the ground, there was little wind, and when I first saw the objects I had thought they were moving too fast to be any kind of a firework product. But we live below a ridge line, and it is probably the wind was blowing harder at the altitude the objects were flying at.

10 Golden Orange Lights Over Redding Connecticut

Date: December 31, 2010

Time: Approx: 10:15 p.m.

Hi Brian, my friends and I were outside last night in Redding Connecticut at about 10:15pm We saw approximately 10 golden orange lights moving across the sky from the south/southwest to north/northeast. There was no noise at all. A pair lead, followed by several singles, then a few pair, then a final single, generally traveling in a straight line.

One of the latter pairs seemed to start out as two singles, then looked more like a pair as they reached mid sky. They moved steadily, entering our field of vision through the trees, then leaving our field of vision to the east through the trees. They did not appear to be at a very high altitude given their size, and their speed could have been that of a normal aircraft. Again, there was no sound! A typical plane seemed to be right behind it and than nothing. Please let us know if you hear anything else.
