Bright Orange Ball Of Light Over Montpelier Bristol UK

Date:  July 25, 2008
Time:  Approx: 11:30 p.m.

Hi my name is (name removed) and I live in Montpelier Bristol. On the 25th July 2008 at roughly 11:30 p.m. me and my partner were sat in my garden.

We saw a bright orange ball go over head. Amazed we watched it drift out of sight. I thought it was one of those Chinese lantern things you set alight, but it was too big. It was also was moving in a straight line and way too fast.

It definitely wasn't an aircraft or a Chinese lantern or even a balloon because it was continuously lit.

Really intrigued about this, which is how I came across this forum. Can't believe how many people have witnessed the same thing.

Four Orange Glowing Discs Above South Bristol UK

Date:  July 25, 2008
Time:  10:00 p.m.

Saturday 25th July 2008 10:00 p.m. South Bristol over Stowey/Bishop Sutton my wife and I and our two children saw four orange glowing disc in the sky. Then two others joined them quickly from the horizon and they all stayed an equal distance apart and remained stationary.

A plane on it’s approach to Bristol flew very close by, but they didn't move after five minutes and they gradually shrank in size and disappeared from left to right in the sky, at an equal time from each other. Did anyone else see this?

20 To 25 Orange White Colored Objects Over Wick Bristol UK

Date:  August 8, 2008
Time:  9:43 p.m.

We live in Wick Bristol, and we saw between 20/25 of these objects travelling across sky. There was no noise and orange to white in colour, they were all perfect distance apart and were all in perfect alignment.

Lots of people were stopping their cars to look and I would say at least ten people from our location saw the same as us! The time was 21:43 on 30/08/08 have a couple of minutes of video footage of one of these objects that I will try to get loaded online for viewing later today.

Bright Lights Flew In Different Directions And Stopping Over Severn Road Pill Bristol UK

Date:  June 4, 2011
Time:  Around midnight.

Dear Brian, on Friday the 3rd / Saturday the 4th of June around midnight I was outside a house in Severn Road, Pill, I looked up at the sky (facing in a South-Westerly direction) and saw what I thought was 2 shooting stars, both heading in opposite directions towards each other. When the two bright lights approached each other they did not touch, but both got flung in different directions and gradually decelerated before coming to a stop.

The lights were bright white and after doing a bit of research I believe I may have seen ball lightning. Both the balls had a very strong attraction at first as they were travelling really fast, but then both just completely stopped. I reckon that as the balls got close to each other perhaps one transferred its charge to the other and both neutralized, causing them to no longer be attracted to each other. I know these were definitely not Chinese lanterns or man-made
craft due to the way they moved across the sky and I'm convinced that what I saw was real.

I've been keeping an eye out for similar sightings as I reckon that perhaps the ash in the atmosphere might be causing an increase in weird atmospheric conditions like these. Even though it was a clear night on Friday night and ball lightning is usually caused by thunderstorms, I also read that (in theory) they can also be caused by ash in the atmosphere.

Unfortunately I did not take any footage of what I saw, it all happened very quickly and the two lights became stationary, and then just looked like a couple of ordinary stars in the sky. I wish now that I'd continued to look at these 2 objects for any more activity, I feel foolish for not observing them for longer. The significance of what I saw did not occur to me until the following day!

Hope this information is useful to you. Best regards.

Two Large Crimson Coloured Lights Over Redland Bristol UK

Date: February 26, 2011
Time: 11:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 3
Shape of Objects: Round lights.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was walking along Canowie Road in Redland, Bristol, I was looking at the stars as I walked home from work, as I usually do on clear nights. I noticed two large, crimson-coloured lights which seemed to be at first stationary, in the direction of Bristol Filton Airport. At first I assumed they were helicopters etc, but I soon noticed that there were no blinking lights.

As I looked on, still walking along Canowie road, I realized that they were moving slowly in an entirely horizontal trajectory apart from each other, again with no additional lights such as search lights or anti-collision lights etc. I was looking at them more intently now, as I found the size of the objects, their red colour, and total lack of noise (I had heard far-off helicopters on the same walk that same evening) to be intriguing.

As I walked along to the end of the road, a hedge obscured my line of sight for about 8-10 seconds, and when I had regained a clear line of sight, which left me with a lot of open sky to scan, they had disappeared. Again, this was a very clear night sky, and I had seen these objects for about a full minute before they vanished, and they were definitely not planes, helicopters or 'Chinese lanterns'. Go figure.

Milky White To Orange Colored UFO Appears To Look Like The Moon Over Bristol Connecticut

Date: February 23, 2011
Time: 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

A Vike Factor Note: Sometimes things get confusing for folks, so I thought I would mention that I, Brian Vike did not witness any of these types of sightings. I reside in a small town here in Houston, British Columbia Canada. Any sightings I have had have taken place here in Houston, and no where’s else.

Over Bristol watershed, coming from the south, starting as a bright white light that could be a plane coming from the Bristol airport as they appear to turn toward the east over Bristol reservoir #2, appearing like the moon travelling at the speed of a small plane and going below the tree line. It turned from white to orange as it went, and there was no audible sound.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I believe I first saw something that looked like the moon, except that it was travelling at what appeared to be the speed of a small plane and descending low over the tree line on the night of 2/23/11 sometime between the hours of 9:00 and 10:00pm. I saw the same thing again the next night, this time as I watched it turned from a milky white color to orange as it moved through the sky.

I then Googled something like orange disc shaped lights over Bristol CT, which led me to a site titled "Reports". In the 48th section from the top I found the link "6 to 7 Red Objects - Terryville and Wolcott, CT. The article describes a sighting at the Terryville fairgrounds last 4th of July, and at the bottom it had your contact info and I sent you this email.

I thought you were the person who had the sightings, so I was a little surprised to find your name connected to different sightings at many different locations. Where are you located and what is your function and relation to these websites and sightings? Also, I mentioned your name to a friend who is currently at a UFO conference in Arizona.

6 Bright Orange Lights Over Bristol Knowle England UK

Date: August 29, 2010
Time: 9.44pm - 9.46pm - 10.15pm

Location of Sighting: Bristol Knowle England.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 6
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We saw 6 bright orange lights traveling the sky making no noise and all flying the same flight path. The last one traveled slightly off to the right of the other five.

We first saw two fly across the sky, which grabbed our attention and amazement and wonder. Then about 2 minutes after, another 3 on the same course then approximately 30 minutes later another one.

They weren't anything we have ever seen before and match the description of many of your descriptions I have just read about. I Googled the lights to see if any one else had reported them and came up with your site. P.S - I'm not a crack pot and I do not believe in fairies or little green men, but have never seen anything like this before in my life.

Bright Sparkly Orange Light Over Yatton South Of Bristol UK

Date: June 27, 2010
Time: 00.20

Hello Brian, due to an unusual event in the sky last night, I have just Googled - UFO+Bristol+26+June+2010 and your site came up at the top of the list. So I thought I'd respond to your request for other sightings.

We live in Yatton, south of Bristol and last night, at about 00.20 hrs we saw a travelling, orange, very bright, sparkly light travelling in the sky.

We were out in our back garden, looking north (towards Bristol). The light appeared from the west and travelled east at a fair old speed, smoothly across the sky. As it crossed due north, the sparkly light appeared to extinguish. We could still just about see the object continue to travel. We watched it in total for about a minute until it disappeared.

The light looked just like an orange party sparkler. There were no clouds, it was a very clear night last night and the light pollution in that part of the sky is not severe.

We've been watching the Space Station this week, the light last night was on a totally different trajectory and much more northerly and moving faster too.

We are also on the flight path for Bristol Airport and used to seeing planes in the sky at night. Last night's light was definitely not an aircraft. It wasn't a shooting star either. We wondered if it was a bit of space junk burning up as it fell to earth or maybe a meteorite? We are both quite keen on a bit of casual sky watching, we know what stars and planets look like. What we saw wasn't either of those! We hope this information is useful to you and we'd be keen to know of other sightings of or opinions about this sparkly, orange anomaly! Kind regards.

Bright Orange Lights Over Bristol UK

Date: June 26, 2010
Time: Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Hi, I have just read one of your postings and a very similar thing has just happened over Bristol at about 10.30pm on the 26th June 2010.

We noticed a bright orange light heading at a rapid speed in a northeast direction away from the central area of Bristol. It seemed to take about 2 minutes to fully disappear from our first sighting and this was purely out of eyesight range, as it had been climbing upwards the whole time. Within 10 minutes a 2nd light followed the exact path and direction is there any explanation for these sightings. Regards.

They all moved very quickly in all different directions and all stayed very close together.

The third time was tonight at 10:30pm, it moved very quickly in one straight line and all of these objects never made any noise. I've tried to think of what they might be, but when I Googled it, I was surprised to see how many people have seen the same thing, so I hope this information is useful.

Bright Orange Light Over Warmley Bristol UK

Date: February 9, 2010
Time: 9.15 p.m. - 9.30 p.m.

Hi, On February 9, 2010 – 9.15 p.m. -9.30 p.m. bright orange light was spotted by me and my two children moving across the sky in a straight line. There was no lighting configuration to suggest an aircraft and there was no noise of a propulsion system.

About 15 minutes later I saw the object again approaching from a different direction, seemingly lower. It passed overhead soundlessly and curved round off into the horizon.

The object appeared to be under intelligent control and propelled and guided, but was unlike anything I have ever witnessed.

Location of Sighting: Bristol, UK.
Number of witnesses: 4
Number of Objects: 70-100
Shape of Objects: Round, orange light.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While watching fireworks after midnight, myself and my partner noticed these orange lights in lines of 7-8 travelling in a south westerly direction, they were very high up in the sky and made no noise. They travelled quite fast and some seemed to hover for a while before moving. We rang my partners mum to see if she could see the same which she could, she lives approximately 4 miles from us. One came in quite low, heading towards Bristol airport then veered straight back up into the sky and disappeared quite quickly.
