Bright Orange Light Which Was Hard On The Eyes To Look At Seen Over Cobourg Ontario

Time:  Approx: 12:15 a.m.

 

I was driving on my way to work (driving from Garden Hill to Port Hope) on April 14, 2012 at about 12:15 a.m. and saw a very bright orange ball of light over Cobourg. It looked to be much lower than the usual aircraft.

 

It was hovering in one place over the town from the looks of it. My eyes are always on the skies because I am completely obsessed with UFOs, and all things paranormal, and I know very well the difference between a typical plane, helicopter, satellite, etc, and this was nothing of the sort.

 

It was the same orange color as the street lights in the town except it was glittering, and it looked very much like it was on fire, and then it went out about 30 seconds after I first saw it.

 

I tried taking photos on my cell phone, but I regret that because I was looking at my phone more than the actual light and didn't even get a good shot.

 

I know this was not just a light on a helicopter or plane. I've never seen anything like it before. It was about 10 miles away and it was so bright that it was impossible not to notice it among the darkness all around it.

 

It almost hurt my eyes to look at it, although it was just beautiful. I knew right away that this was something different.

Orange Glowing Object Over Lake Ontario Seen From Cobourg To Lakeport Ontario

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

 

We were driving east along the lake road from Cobourg to Lakeport this evening, April 2, 2012 around 9:00 p.m. and we saw a glowing orange light over Lake Ontario.

 

It was a little above the horizon line and stayed in the same position. It looked like it was on fire and we thought we could see smoke.

 

We watched it for approximately 5 minutes and then it suddenly went out and disappeared.

Flashing Green Light Surrounded By Red Ones Seen West Of Cobourg Ontario

Time:  12:10 a.m.

 

That is so weird. At around 12:10 a.m. I was zooming back home from Ottawa with my daughter in a rented truck. We were just west of Cobourg (across the highway from a truck rest stop). I saw a flashing green light surrounded by red lights.

 

For some funny reason I thought it was the police (because I was speeding) and that the light was coming from behind me. I looked at the passenger side mirror and then my drivers side mirror, trying to get my bearings.

 

Then I realized that I wouldn't be able to see the light through a rear view because it was cargo van. It then occurred to me that the light was speeding towards me from in front and above. I looked at it again and it was gone.

 

The entire episode lasted no more than maybe 6-10 seconds.

 

Just as I was thinking, what the heck, my daughter said, wow look at those lights above us. I said yes i see it. She said, no seriously (we kid around alot) and I started describing what I had witnessed, so did she. We both knew right away that something out of the norm had just happened.

 

I asked her to look on the net to see if anyone else had witnessed these strange aerial lights and just a few moments ago, she pointed me to this site.

 

I knew for sure we had both seen it and the postings on here (although not all the same) confirm it.

Triangle Shaped Craft Over Cobourg Ontario

 

Date:  Late September 2008

Time:  Before midnight.

 

I live in Cobourg, my home is a two minute drive to Lake Ontario. Sometime in Late September 2008 I saw a triangle shaped object flying with what appeared to be a spotlight "beam" in front of it.

 

There was three lights at each point, on the underside there was multi-coloured lights blue, red, orange. (I'm a bit coloured blind, so I can't confirm the exact colours)

 

It was too low for plane, not a helicopter, no noise at all. It was just before midnight and it flew in a northeast direction (came from our Beach/Harbour area) I quickly made a rough drawing of what I saw. Very weird, very strange.

Glowing Flaming Ball Of Light Over Cobourg Ontario

 

Date:  November 3, 2011

Time:  Around 9:30 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

 

Hi Brian, Around 9:30 - 10 pm in Cobourg, Ontario I was on the pier and over the lake to the east I saw what seems to be the same glowing, almost flaming ball of light that you did.

 

Just like you said it disappeared and reappeared, and when it reappeared it seemed to drop down a little.

Two Bright Fireball Type Objects Over Cobourg Ontario

 

Date:  May 21, 2011

Time:  Approx: 10:00 p.m.

 

At around 10:00pm two bright fireball type subjects flew over Cobourg going south to north. We watched these things for about 5 minutes, they were definitely different.

No doubt the strangest things I have ever seen, the crazy thing is I was with 7 other people who witnessed the same thing. Please reply when you hear from others on this same thing on May 21 2011.

Orange Flame Object Seen Over Cobourg Beach Ontario

Date: July 30, 2011

Time: Evening.

Good Day Brian, I wanted to bring to your attention of a similar incident at Cobourg Beach Saturday July 30, 2011.
Myself and family attended the Sand Castle festival and decided to stay around to view a scheduled children’s movie they were showing on the beach. During the movie a flame could be seen in the night sky.

Other observers were trying to determine what it was, as it slowly disappeared. Soon after with obvious concern in other witnesses face the same flame reappeared.

I’ve been waiting for the day, an am happy to be a witness to this sighting.

Unknown Object Chases Eyewitnesses Near Cobourg Ontario

Hi there, I just happened across your site today via Google. About 15 years ago (1996-1997) I had an experience with the same object you described on your link. I posted my story a few days ago on the Facebook group Paranormal Studies & Investigations Canada - PSICAN.

Here it is:

I'm not really interested in UFO phenomenon, however I was recently reminded of an incident that happened near Cobourg, Ontario with myself and 3 friends. This was about 15 years ago. We were out joyriding in my Dad's van, got lost, and stopped at what looked like some kind of gravel pit.

We all noticed what we originally thought was a star that was very close to the horizon. What grabbed our attention was that it was brighter than the other stars, and seemed to shift slightly from left to right.

We hopped into the van and drove toward it. It was then that it seemed to ascend higher into the sky as we drove closer to it. It would sometimes change direction, and we would follow it. After a little while of this we finally gave up chasing it and decided to find our way back home to Oshawa.

After a little while it appeared in front of us and as we drove in that direction it would get closer to the road. Every time we made a turn it would reappear in front of us descending toward the road. It really started to freak us out so I stopped the van, and it stopped as well.

Eventually it just disappeared. What I can't get over from that night is that we didn't get home until 8:00am the next day. We had been driving all night chasing, and being chased by some light in the sky.

Red/Orange Objects Moved Quickly Over Cobourg Ontario

Date: March 24, 2011

Time: 1:30 a.m. - 4:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 people + 2 dogs who did not like what was in the sky.
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Circular, sparky, but orange/red colour.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw something in the sky tonight. I have built telescopes and know some astronomy. What I saw tonight was strange. It's not Mars, I don't think. But what I saw in the sky is a different red/orange, and it moved quickly 2 times....and it is not a satellite nor a plane or even meteorite. I live north of Cobourg, Ontario Canada.

Let me know if you know anything about this? I'm interested. I shall look up in the sky later evening tomorrow. And still, it does not move like the moon, nor the stars. It hovers. I don't know what it is. (but it can move quickly) Sincerely.

More Witnesses For The UFOs Over Cobourg Ontario

Hey, I also watched these 2 orb type things over Cobourg on Saturday night. My husband and best friend watched the one actually come in on fire, so they think. They thought it was a meteorite or something coming into the atmosphere on fire, they called for the rest of us and we watched it go out of sight and another one had already appeared.

They were moving up then down, stopping, slowing, speeding up then the 2nd one went straight up out of sight. My husband and I stood staring up, speechless, unable to explain what we had just witnessed.

Red Glowing Object South Of Cobourg Over Lake Ontario

Hi Brain, I am just confirming what you saw, because it happened again last night south of Cobourg over Lake Ontario around 10:00pm. The light seemed to be bright and flashing with sort of a red glow and not moving.

It stayed for a few minutes and started to move further away when a second one appeared and did the same thing. The first one faded away and after about five minutes the second did the same.

Object Filmed Over Port Hope Drive In Cobourg Ontario (Pictures)

Date: July 2010

Time: Evening.

I was at the Port Hope Drive-In in July this year when my girlfriend and I saw it. Only lasted about a minute or two. It stayed stationary for most of that time, then went slowly to the left and stopped again, then disappeared.

It was sort of far off. It almost looked like a helicopter with a spotlight, but it didn't move like one (and I couldn't see anything attached to the light).

Many reasons why it couldn't have been a helicopter. Regardless, a bunch of other people saw it too and got out of their cars to look. My girlfriend snapped these two crappy pictures with her cell phone-camera.

Dark Sphere In A Field North Of Cobourg In Trent Hills Ontario

Date: July 2009

Time: Between 12:00 Midday and 1:00 p.m.

It was last year 2009, middle of July at north of Cobourg in Trent Hills. It was between midday and 1:00pm in the afternoon. I was on my brothers land with 5 other people, we were busy building a garage when I just happen to look up and in the middle of the field, about tree height there it was, a dark sphere about the size of a exercise ball and maybe 3 feet by 3 feet, maybe a little bigger.

No noise, at first it was there, then it wasn’t, then it was there, then it wasn’t and it was moving all this time as well towards us.

Then it was gone in about 15 seconds. It was strange how I didn’t yell out, "look everyone". It was like I was under some strange trace, I don’t really know, but I didn’t feel right and my brother saw it as well, but didn’t say anything until later that night when he said, did anyone see something in the sky? I asked him what he saw, he said it was a sphere. At least I know now I was not crazy or seeing things. I always believed there is other life forms out there, and to see what I saw and my brother to confirm the same. We are not alone.

UFO Causes Power Problems At A Home In Cobourg Ontario

Date: Late July 2010
Time: Around 10:00 p.m. after 3:00 in the morning.

Location of Sighting: Cobourg Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 6
Number of Objects: 1 (very large)
Shape of Objects: Almost oval in shape.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We were just sitting down watching TV when the power surged, all the lights dimmed to a very dark orange, and the TV started to go wavy, like when you throw a rock into still water.

Then we all saw a really bright light coming from outside and we all jumped up and looked out the living room window, and there was this large oval white light. I swear it was daylight, it stayed like that for 30 seconds, then it really quickly went orange red purple then green and disappeared.

The power returned to normal like nothing happened, me and one of my friends talked about it after and we both feared for our lives as we thought it could be a bomb or something that's just how intense the situation was for me and I like to observe the stars.

I've seen other things that may have been a UFOs, but I tried to logically find an explanation, but this time I just don't know what to think. It happened so fast that we couldn't even find a camera, or even a cell phone camera.
