Above Photo: Just one of the amazing Back Alley Mural Paintings that is found in
Kamloops, British Columbia.

During our visit with family in Kamloops, British Columbia, my daughter drove me to a back alley in the downtown area. I did wonder where she was taking me, but it soon became very clear as I my face lit up. All of the buildings along this back alley had beautiful murals painted on them by some very clever people.

The back alley murals are amazing and when visiting Kamloops, B.C. make sure you take time to visit this wonderful work of art.

Visitors Centre And Rotary Centennial Park Hope British Columbia (6 - Pictures)

Above Photo: Visitors Centre in Hope, British Columbia. What a great place to visit.

With all my travels through Hope on Highway 1 driving up the Fraser Canyon, I rarely stopped in Hope to take advantage of the wonderful things Hope, B.C. had to offer.

One of the gems in Hope is their Rotary Centennial Park. It is beautiful and is a wonderful place to get out to stretch your legs, or stop for a picnic lunch.

There are tables and benches for you to sit as you watch the mighty Fraser River flow on by. You can also view the chainsaw carvings that are located in the park, and throughout the town.

So if you are planning out a holiday and the route takes you through Hope, B.C., take the time to wander around the town as it has a lot to offer.

My Awesome Experience In And Around Quesnel British Columbia (8 - Pictures)

Above Photo: A gigantic gold pan and gold nugget in Quesnel, British Columbia.

Quesnel has always been a special place for me as friends and family had soured the back roads prospecting, fishing and hiking through the woods. Mostly it turned out to be a great get away.

Quesnel also has a wonderful museum that I have toured many a times, and each and every time I walk through it, I find something new from the past that I missed from a prior visit. Below is a link to Quesnel's Museum. The museum is closed for the winter and will reopen for the
summers rush of tourists.

Mural Paintings In 100 Mile House British Columbia (2 Pictures)

Above Photo: Parkside Art Gallery website is: http://www.parksideartgallery.ca/

The District of 100 Mile House has always been a special place for me. When I was a lot younger, I along with friends would drive to 100 Mile House to go fishing, hiking, etc.

On one of those trips I ended up at Montana Lake Resort which was owned by a fellow who resided in from Vancouver, B.C. and was owner of a mill.

Massive 975 Pound Grizzly Bear On Display At Houston British Columbia’s Visitor’s Centre (Pictures)

Above Photo: Massive 975 pound Grizzly Bear on display at
Houston, British Columbia’s Visitor’s Centre.

I have been trying to get a good picture of the Grizzly bear that is on display in Houston, but seeing it is in a glass enclosure, there is always a reflection to deal with. Today, November 20, 2015 my wife and I stopped by the Visitors Centre and we managed to take a decent photo.

The Grizzly bear that is on display in the Houston’s, Visitors Centre was one of two bear which were given the name of “Phantom Bears”.

You can read a lot more on this bear and view another picture at Brian Vike's Travel Blog:

Smithers British Columbia Visitor Centre (Photos)

Above Photo: Lonely Cougar looks back toward his home in the mountains from the Smithers, British Columbia Visitor Centre.

We were out in Smithers, B.C. a few days ago and I wandered around taking pictures of a lot of things as the weather was beautiful. One of the places I thought I would start with was the Chamber of Commerce/ Visitor Centre.

There was a display of a Cougar outside the building which I thought was pretty cool. the Cougar looks like it is missing the high mountains as it looks staring off into the distant mountains.

I have a few pictures from around the Smithers, B.C. Visitor Centre and just outside of
Smithers as well.

Orange Yellow Object With Big Trail Of Fire Seen Over Trafford Centre Manchester UK

Date:  March 3, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:45 p.m.

I saw it on the M60 last night at about 9:45. We were travelling towards the Trafford Centre and it was to the right of the car in the sky.

It then went over the top and I watched it into the distance. It was still glowing in the distance, but I couldn't see the trail, when it was travelling alongside us it had a big trail of fire!

We thought it was a plane on fire at first. What was it??

I've been trying to find out!

Gray Disc Shaped Object Over Kenilworth Centre Cape Town South Africa

Date: July 2010
Time: Afternoon.

Hi there, I consider myself fairly open minded, so it wouldn't really surprise me if it came out on the news one day, that UFO's are real.

I was an overcast day, July 2010.

My boyfriend and I were walking to his house from Kenilworth Centre, Landsdown area, on a Saturday afternoon. As we were walking and talking, on the bridge, I noticed a movement a few metres away, by the school. I thought it was just a bird. But then, the "bird" stopped in mid air, now which bird while flying in a straight line, then stop.

I stopped and looked, trying to really concentrate on this object, to make sure it really is a bird. By this time, my boyfriend was curious as to what I'm looking at. The more I tried to show him, the more he thought I was kidding around, as he couldn't see anything.

It was a grayish, disc shaped object. Then the object moved fast to the right, then straight up, and gone. All this time, I'm trying to show my boyfriend, and he's just giggling his butt off, because I can see it, and he can't.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Close Encounter With A UFO Over The City Centre Area Of Dublin Ireland

Date: Winter 1972/73
Time: Early evening.

Hi Brian, I came across your e-mail address on a site about UFO sightings in UK. In particular, I was interested in sightings of a fireball type object which sped across the sky, hovered and then took off. I was telling my son of an experience I had when I was around 10 or 11 years old which is a long time ago! Interestingly, what prompted me to Google this was my son's question, could I have embellished the experience, albeit, subconsciously, over the years. Honestly I believe I didn't, but being so long ago, it got me thinking. This is what I experienced.

I lived in the city-centre area of Dublin. It was a winter's evening around 1972/73 and a friend and I were going from my street onto a main road. It was early evening, but was already dark and strangely, there were no cars driving along, in fact the road was very quiet. As we reached the house at the corner and turned into the main road, we saw a strange ball which looked like a ball of fire moving just over the house and within seconds it had disappeared behind the chimney, only to re-appear as it continued it's course.

It appeared to rotate in a straight line and was the size of perhaps a beach ball. Up to this point, I would happily say it was a natural phenomenon, something that could be explained logically, however, as we appeared to come into it's line of vision, it suddenly stopped, hovered directly over us. It seemed to be observing us and within seconds, it not only changed it's course, but began to descend down towards us.

Suffice to say, we screamed and ran away, not stopping until we got to my friends house. We never looked back. When I had to go home that way later, still quite frightened, there was no sight of it.

As far as I am concerned, there was intelligence behind the actions of this object. Could it have been a hoax, perhaps, I don't know, however, it wasn't an act of nature. Have you heard any familiar stories? My friend in the story emigrated to Canada, so what she would remember of the incident, I can only guess! Regards.
