Date: October 17, 2010
Time: Between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m.Hi Brian, thought I'd let you know that late Sunday evening October 17, 2010 between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. we heard a jet flying west to east quite low and very loud over our residential neighborhood. There were 6 people here at the time and we all heard the sudden loud and low rumble and ran outside to investigate. We could see nothing, but could tell only from the sound that it had flown east and so we couldn't really be sure it was even military. But if I had to guess, I would bet money that it was.
The interesting thing is that there has been absolutely nothing unusual going on every night since then.
Monday morning a few of us bumped into a fellow on the lower trails who was on a mission to check the water in the river?
Tuesday we drove down the county road past the Komoka Provincial Park and the parking lot was overflowing with cars. Didn't think much of it because of the time of year and couldn't honestly remember if I'd ever seen it that busy before.
Wednesday I drove past again, same thing, so when I pulled in the lot with my friend, a fellow dog walker we pretty much expected to find a lot of like minded people nothing more. What we didn't expect was to meet up with 3 separate individuals who were there to reach the cliffs to watch the late afternoon sky. As it turns out, you and your site were mentioned a few times and these people had driven a far distance across Ontario to check out the skies for themselves.
Just thought I'd send this positive feedback your way, seems as though people are paying attention and looking sky ward.
Thank you once again for the opportunity to explain what we see and putting it out there for others to share. I'm pretty sure that I'm not the only one who benefits from knowing that we aren't alone in what we see.
If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.
