Large Low Flying Orange Sphere Over Chula Vista National City California

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My father, a friend and I were returning from Tijuana headed north, Friday the 29th at around 6:30 p.m., the sun had just fully gone down. It was dark on the I-5, at around the 27 mile marker we all noticed a large orange sphere over the trees on the right hand (east) side of I-5. It appeared to be a balloon over a car lot or business. My dad (who was military for 40 years) mentioned it was too perfect for a balloon or blimp. It was perfectly round, glowing orange with a *non-strobing* red light on top. I think the red light is important cause I think it is FAA law that all thing a certain distance off of the ground must have a red strobe.

We observed the object for a minute or so until we cleared the trees, then we noticed it was not close to the ground at all. Rather, it was maybe about an 1/8 mile (+ or -) away and several hundred feet off the ground. All of this lends to an object of spectacular size. It was about a thumbs width at arms length.

I noticed, what I thought, was a "halo" about 2/3 down the sphere, around the circumference, like a haze where the sphere was ever so slightly lighter. (This was not witnessed by the other two in our car.)

We laughed about it and dismissed it until I Googled it and found several stories that fit it in the So-Cal area. I did get a photo from the car on my iPhone, terrible quality, shaky, but you can see the object's color and size in relativity to the lights in the picture.

Bright Star-Like Object Erupts Over Bergen Norway

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My friend and I were looking at some crows acting strange above Bergen city center. Than suddenly a bright light erupted on the night sky and disappeared in less than a second. It looked like a star appearing, but then grew stronger in it's magnitude, then fading and totally disappeared. At this time we couldn't really see any stars in the sky, so we are pretty bewildered about the experience.

18 Bright Orange Balls Of Light Over Isle Of Skye Scotland

Hello there, at precisely 22:23 on Saturday February 27th 2010, a friend and I were driving through the peninsula of Sleat (Isle of Skye)

To our amazement we both observed some 18 bright orange balls floating over the centre of the peninsula. They looked like very, orange planets. They were below the fairly low-lying clouds and some of them moved slowly with a sort of random motion and, one by one, disappeared.

Then a second, smaller batch appeared. They also moved about slowly before fading away after a couple of minutes. No sound. If I had been alone, I would have thought I had dreamt it, but there were two of us. We are both rational, highly educated people with good scientific backgrounds (if that is of any relevance!)

Any ideas? Flares perhaps from a ship in distress? But they didn't rise into the sky and they didn't fall to the ground. They just faded away.

Some sort of military exercise perhaps? This area is riddled with sophisticated systems for killing the Queen's enemies.

Orange Lights/Objects Seen Over Brentwood Essex United Kingdom

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Before I describe last nights sightings, I must mention that a few months ago (over my house in Brentwood) my wife and I saw an unusual quite large bright orange light in the sky. It passed over very quickly, but because of it's nature (it looked like something was on fire) it was very noticeable. Last night at the time stated above I was walking to my garage at the rear of my house and saw exactly the same thing, a bright orange light moving across the sky. I assume it was below the storm clouds as it had been a very bad weather day. It was quite clearly not an aircraft as even from the highest point in the sky the lights of an aircraft are discernable.

I called my wife to come quickly and we stood there together watching this thing move across the sky clearly bewildered by what it might be. And we both definitely saw a large spark fall from it vertically. This happened twice. We watched it until it was out of range. Only a few minutes later another incident occurred and on the exact same trajectory as the first. There was no apparent sound present. All I had in hand was my mobile phone and whilst it has managed to pick up something, it is of little value as it looks just like a very small dot. Still, I am surprised it picked up anything at all.

This is my best description of what we saw, but reading the comments of others and their descriptions we mirror their experiences exactly. The only thing to add is as I said above, that we saw at least two sparks fall swiftly and vertically away from the main object. Because of this event, I have simply Googled this morning just to see if there was anything and to my surprise there was hence this email. Incidentally, I am familiar with the ISS and it's occasional trajectory over my location and it wasn't that. A quick check on the NASA website confirms this also.

Orange Lights Over St. Martin High Above Orient Bay

Time: Late evening

Greetings, my name is (name removed). My husband and I are renting a Villa in St. Martin high above Orient Bay. Last night we were watching the full moon until late at night. Very suddenly a bright orange light came up toward us from the horizon. My husband looked through the binoculars and we both noticed no sound, no trail of smoke only the light coming up and toward us.

It was as high as a jet and when it got even higher, right over us it disappeared instantly. 20 minutes later another one did the same thing. Two more large orange lights appeared and went straight up until they too disappeared. There were no lights way out on the ocean and we swear these light came up and out of nowhere. Have you heard anymore about these lights from last night?
