Is The 1921 Historic Quick Bridge Doomed Quick British Columbia (14 - Pictures)

Above Photo: The Telkwa Mountain Range.

Today, December 15, 2015 we decided to take a drive on the Walcott Forest Service Road as I wanted to take some pictures of the Telkwa Mountain Range and other scenic areas along the way.

With a bright blue sky and the ground covered with snow, all this make for some really nice photos. I also had my sights set on the old Quick Bridge near the end of todays journey, actually I did not know if it was still there as there has been talk that the bridge was to be torn down.

As we dropped in elevation from the mountains and entered into the valley, there it stood, an amazing sight to see, the old Quick wooden bridge was still there.

1914 St. John The Divine Anglican Church Quick British Columbia (Photo)

Above Photo: 1914 St. John The Divine Anglican Church in Quick British Columbia.

On our travels around northern British Columbia we stopped at the St. John The Divine Anglican Church located in Quick British Columbia.

The church was built in 1914 and stands today in fantastic condition. It sits on a nicely cut lawn, with colorful Fall bushes around it.

Inside the church there is a old stove that would keep people warm in the winter months when attending church. There is also oil lamps that were used inside for the lighting.

Anyone one passing through Quick, B.C. is welcome to drop by as the doors remain open.

If you were driving west from Prince George, B.C. and you will be passing through Quick, keep your eyes open for the Quick Road West as you would make a left hand turn off of Highway 16 and onto Quick Road West. From there, it sits on the left hand side of the the road and not many yards off the Highway, actually if you look closely, you can see it from Highway 16.

Location for the church can be found on Google maps, link is below.

1890 Telegraph Cabin Quick British Columbia (Photos)

Above Photo: 1890 Telegraph Cabin Quick British Columbia information sign.

Here is building I have driven by for years, but never stopped to check it out, until now.

The 1890 Telegraph Cabin in Quick, B.C. is located yards off Highway 16 to the west. You can park your vehicle to the side of the gravel road and walk into the area where the cabin sits.

The area was fenced off, but there is an opening so folks can get up close to take pictures, and place their hands onto some of British Columbia’s history.

I have a number of photos posted on my Travel Blog, and you can find them here at this link.

Date:  August 27, 2014
Time:  Approx: 11:00 p.m.

I saw it too. I was in Salem, Oregon with a friend we both were looking north towards Portland. It seemed to be near the ground.

I thought I saw red he says green. I have tried to do research on it and can't find anything. We saw it around 11:00 p.m. If anyone has information please share.

If anyone has witnessed this flash of the light, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.
