Unknown Lights And Jet Aircraft Seen Flying From East Mesa Arizona

Time:  10:45 p.m.

 

I found this site looking around to see if anyone else sees things like this and thought I would share since it was weird and you so kindly asked for us to do so. 

 

I live just east of the 202, south of the 60. Last night about 10:45 p.m. I went outside to see what all the noise was from at the IWA airport and flying very low and slow were 3 jet aircraft with all exterior lights on that had obviously just left IWA at the same time, and were in a very close line formation going east-southeast. 

 

These were mid-sized planes and although I am an airline mechanic, I could not tell what they were, too dark, but they had lots of beacons and strobes flashing on the tail, which may not have been needed, but because they were so low. 

 

Looking east from my second story balcony I watched them disappear behind the roofline of my apartment, still flying strangely low and slow. 

 

A couple minutes later I saw in the direct east, just over the roofline, gold/yellow lights, one by one, light up and go out, and then the next one would do the same. 

 

Four of them, one by one slowly on for a few seconds and then slowly off, arranged in a line going north. These lights were stationary. Then I spotted the 3 jet planes again, gaining altitude and turning northeastward towards and over where the lights had shown themselves. 

 

The planes flew slowly, but at a few thousand feet now, still together, and northward and eventually out of my view. There was also light GA traffic coming from the north and heading straight toward where the lights had been.  

 

During the 10 minutes this all happened there was about 6 aircraft that I could see, and then the at least 4 other unusual lights, which could not be mistaken for aircraft next to all the other traffic given the characteristics exhibited. 

 

It gets better. The plane coming from the north passed going south, a few miles east of me, through the location in the sky of the weird lights and when it got just passed that point, red lights, 3-4 of them, independent of each other it seemed, in closer triangular formation, lit up as the plane passed in front of them, and then went dark after it passed, as if to let the light plane see it to avoid collision. 

 

The plane made no evasive maneuver.  What's really going on. Hope this helps. I am a federally certificated aircraft mechanic since 2003 and I cannot explain what I saw. 

 

The whole thing seems to have taken place from my best judgment over the Gold Canyon area and was so low it could not have been seen from the main part of the valley. I consider myself lucky to have seen it. 

 

When it happened, I immediately though of the "Phoenix lights" because I have seen video of it and what I saw was pretty much that.

Strange Unknown Light Spotted From Mesa Arizona

Time:  Evening.

 

I saw the same light over the southeastern sky of maybe Mesa, Arizona yesterday. It looked like it came from the Williams gateway airport, aka old Williams Air Force Base. I saw it raise and then travel in a northward approach.

 

It was odd and moving and very slow. When a commercial airline was coming in that direction, it faded away. Very odd.

UFO Disappears As Aircraft Gets Close To It And Seen Over Mesa Arizona

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw a bright flashing object lower than a star, and it wasn't even dark yet.

 

It was south of us, and then it was hovering and disappeared as a plane got near to where it was.

 

Then it appeared about 2 minutes later, but it was more southeast and was hovering around. On the video camera it looks like a ball of fire.

 

To the eye it looked bright white with some flashed of red sometimes. It was traveling south towards Gilbert it looked like.

 

It was amazing to see it disappear and appear again. Every night we have been seeing things in the sky.

8 Circular Orange Colored Lights Spotted Over The Mesa Arizona Area

Time:  Approx: 7:55 p.m.

 

Hello, tonight around 7:55 p.m. in the evening of 2/4/12 I was leaving my home city of Fountain Hills, AZ. We were going out to get something to eat and decided to go to the Mesa area, so we took the Beeline otherwise known as Highway 87 to Payson.

 

We were roughly about 4-5 miles north of the McDowell Rd intersection to about 5-6 miles north of the 202 intersect. We saw 8 circular orange lights in sort of a V shape. At first we thought it was an odd plane.

 

I sped up a little more to about 76 mph and began to appear to be catching up to it a bit. It was east of us and hovering over what appeared to be either desert land and some smaller residential areas, possibly Indian Reservation Land.

 

Regardless, the odd part was that within 3 minutes of watching this, following it to the best of our ability, all of a sudden the 8 lights, 4 on each side turned into 6 lights, now 3 on each side.

 

Then I would say about 25-30 seconds after that the 6 lights turned into 4 lights, 2 on each side, from there it was one on each side, and then none. It flat out disappeared. As the lights were turning off the craft did not appear to be moving very quickly and it was 100% traveling way to low to be a regular plane, there is just no way.

 

My fiancé and I counted several other commercial air liners in the sky including what appeared to be a private smaller plane and all were clearly no where near the altitude of this one.

 

This one was low, and when the lights went out, it was as if it  disappeared . We are doing our best to be logical with what this could have been however I know you need clearance from some sort of aviation control to go flying a craft over a residential area meaning, but what craft is allowed to fly with zero lights on? 

 

Even commercial airliners and single engine planes all have some sort of identification lighting, blinking or solid lights, something. So if I assume this is ours, unless they went through a worm hole when the lights went off they obviously were flying with no exterior lighting on, who gets clearance for that. And so low.

 

What we saw was at the very least very odd. Any thoughts. Also I decided to email this to here because a Google search had pulled up someone else who had seen something similar January 15th over Mesa as well.

 

Same area, just a few weeks ago however when I look at your domain it says your in Canada, was hoping to find out more. Thanks.

Bright Blue Object Fell At An Incredible Speed Seen From Mesa Arizona

Time:  Between 10:30 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.

 

I saw the same thing March 30, 2012 in Mesa Arizona after a movie at the Cinemark Theater (85213 zip if you want to look it up) (Wrath of the Titans) the time was between 10:30 p.m. and 10:55 p.m.

 

I was looking north talking with a friend in the north parking lot and at the same time a commercial airliner was passing over head to the south heading toward the airport.

 

Sky Harbor (PHX) is about 10 miles to the west that was the direction it (UFO) was heading tracking with the airplane. 

 

This is what I saw: There was something black above the tree line, the whole area is in the river bottom. I thought it probably was a Crane flying at night or some bird not that it looked like a bird, I mean what else could it be at night.

 

But then it lit up, a bright blue orb with a bluish shield around it, moving in a straight line. It wasn't moving fast (the plane is coming in to land so it is slowing), but then it headed down at about a 45 degree angle at a high rate of speed (instant acceleration) it went below the tree line and disappeared and it made no sound. 

 

The trees are planted decorative along the parking lot so they are about 15 feet tall also my friend was facing south and all I could do was point and say aah, aah, aah, look.

 

He didn't turn in time, so he did not see it and thought I was crazy, until I found your blog and he read what I read.

Bright Orange Glowing Light In The Sky At Mesa Arizona

My sister and I were walking around 8:00 p.m. and we saw a bright orange glowing light above Mesa, Arizona.

 

It lasted a few min and then went straight up and disappeared.

Three Lights In A Triangular Shape Over Mesa Arizona

My daughter saw three lights in a triangular shape. She saw them just after dark over Mesa AZ. She said there was no sound, as of a plane, and they were still then moved sideways faster than any airplane before disappearing in the cloud cover.

Nine Red Lights Forming Three Triangle Shapes Over Mesa Arizona

Time: Evening.

 

Last night 15 January 2012 I saw about nine red lights forming 3 triangle shapes over Mesa Az. My sister in Iowa saw glowing fire like orbs in West Des Moines over the tree tops. She could not make out a shape and she said it was large like a small jet, but not in the shape of an airplane.

 

The fire ball shapes traveled to slow for a plane and no noise and it was just over the tree tops. They saw this 2 times during the holiday.

Yellow Glowing Object Seen Flying Through The Sky From Mesa Arizona

Time:  Approx: 8:00 p.m.

 

I saw it twice, once around about 8:00 p.m., I did not look at my watch. It came from the east traveling west. And I swear it turned to the south and then disappeared. From my point of view it appeared to be quite large. And there were no flashing lights on it.

 

It almost seemed to have a yellowish glow to it. Then later that night, me my girlfriend and another friend saw it again around midnight. It traveled from north to south. The only difference is that it was way west of my location, where earlier it flew almost overhead.

 

I know what an airplane looks like, I know what a planet and meteor look like, I know what a satellite passing overhead looks like. I can not explain what I saw that night.

4 White Tubular Shaped UFOs Over Mira Mesa California

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw 4 white tube shaped objects hovering at the cumulus cloud level, in a square formation. Two objects parallel to each other above, and two objects parallel to each other below.

 

The lower tubular shaped objects moved very slowly towards each other until they almost touched, then they returned to the corners of the bottom of the square formation.

 

I observed these objects moving in this pattern for an hour. I had to go home after an hour of watching them, so I didn’t get to see them leave the area.

Bright Star Like Object Over Mesa Arizona (Star)

Hi Brian, I live in Mesa and had noticed around 8:13 p.m. on January 1, 2012 a very bright "star" twinkling red, green and white to what seems to be just south of the Superstitions, which I see from my east facing balcony.

 

It is not moving, or has not moved in the last 5 minutes) and does not appear to be one of the usual stars I see nightly.

 

I found your website while searching the net to see if there was any information on this and I am emailing you as requested. I don't know if there is anything to it, but it has roused my curiosity.

Bright Green Light With Long Tail Seen Over Mesa Arizona

We live in Mesa and we saw it also. You described it exactly as we saw it. It was moving way to fast to be an airplane. The look on my daughter in laws face was indescribable. Her jaw literally dropped and she started yelling look, look!

Plane Comes To A Stop Over Mesa Arizona ?

Time:  Daytime.

 

I live in the metro Phoenix area and I am watching the sky's alot more than I used to. One day in March/08, I saw a biplane over the city of Mesa come to a complete stop. I first noticed it because it seemed to be flying awfully low and very slow, plus it was painted an ugly orange color.

 

There are alot of sightings here if you just pay attention. At least once a week I watch what I think is an airplane and it disappears into thin air. They are usually shaped like a military plane, either silver or white.

 

I am totally amazed, that I see them this often and wonder if anybody else sees them. They are always daytime sightings.

Flying Saucer With Rotating Lights Seen Over Costa Mesa California

 

Date:  July 7, 2011 to July 15, 2011

Time:  Around 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I went outside for a cigarette and noticed a band of what seemed to be rotating lights. So I called one of my friends out, for a second opinion on what it could be. It was too slow to be a plane, definitely was not a helicopter, and was too small to be a blimp with scrolling letters.

 

I called out the rest of my friends to watch it with us, and they also couldn't explain it. Shortly after they came out, it disappeared behind some clouds. I will put a link to a picture of about what the dimensions were on it. It was this shape, but upside down.

 

It appeared to be slowly rotating with slowly changing colored lights, though in the beginning it seemed to be a solid color.

Domed UFO With Colored Lights Around It Over Costa Mesa California

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I usually see lots of aircraft pass by my window, when I saw a light. I thought it wasn’t any different. But, all of a sudden, I noticed that the lights were moving in a circular rotation and had many flashing lights. Spooked the hell out of me.

Additional Information:

About the object I saw: It was a domed saucer, the top dome was bigger than the bottom. The dome shape was not ridiculously domed, but still visible. Where the two domes meet, there was a band of circular lights that seemed to go all the way around in a circle -0-0-0-0-0- (like that) and were red and yellow and another color, blue or green.

I have seen all different types of aircraft fly by my home, but that was the first time I saw something like that. It seemed to meet by the 405 and 73 freeway. I know there's an airport close by and a military base, but I know it wasn't something normal.

Bright White Circular Object Over Costa Mesa California

Date: February 14, 2010

Time: 6:43 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Costa Mesa, CA.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: While traveling south on Newport Blvd. at 18th Street in Costa Mesa, California, we saw straight ahead a bright white circular object rapidly fall from about 30 degrees above the horizon to a point approximately 3.8 degrees to the west on the horizon. The fall lasted approximately one second.

The path was an arc, somewhat as one would expect a falling meteor to take. The light suddenly appeared and stayed consistently bright until it reached the horizon. I believe it was far enough away to have fallen into the Pacific ocean which was at least a mile away. The diameter of the circle was approximately 0.12 degrees. The round appearance in the dark was as if an airplane landing light were aimed directly at us. There was no sound.
