Orange Colored Globes Over Durham City UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I went to the garden to put the bins out and noticed three large orange globes in the sky in a NW direction coming over the horizon. They were in a linear form and stayed in this formation throughout. There was no noise or vapor trail and I wondered what they could be, so I stared at them until they reached the top of their trajectory and seemed to fade into black large discs. I do not believe in UFOs, but I was so frightened I stood there and stared some more.

6 more orange globes about the size of a regular UK football from the ground rose over the same trajectory. They moved very slowly, as did the first ones and seemed to hover for a while and then fade into these discs. I was petrified so ran in to tell my husband and we watched another one from the window upstairs.

Could have been the stress of the event, but I felt quite woozy afterwards and a bit vague and my vision felt strange for about an hour afterwards.

I was convinced I was a nutcase until I did some research online and found that many others had also seen this. I am normally a level headed person and Teach Geography at Secondary school and I am so surprised at my writing on this website, but I need to tell people. I'm concerned, please help.

Orange Ball Of Light Seen Over Peterlee County Durham UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Around 9:00pm last night me and my partner both saw a orange ball in the sky about 20 times as big as a star. It was moving slowly across the sky in a straight line getting smaller and smaller, until it disappeared. It wasn't a shooting star or a plane. I've read on this forum that somebody else saw it but a hour later? Weird stuff.

Orange Lights Over County Durham UK

I saw two of the same 1-1-2010 ca 21:30 in County Durham. I know what I saw, unbelievable! The first one was flying toward me, but then I noticed a second one, quite some way away. It made a sort of snake-like maneuver and in a second or two, caught up with the other one. They were orange, sort of irradiating erratically with a deeper orange/reddish centre, moving way faster than any plane I see taking off from Newcastle and they were silent. It was a dead quiet night, no traffic (I live quite rural) and I'm actually quite moved by the experience.

2 Round Orange Lights Seen Over South Hetton County Durham UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Hi, I was on the phone to my mother (who lives in the same village as me) at the time wishing her a Happy New Year at 00:15am on 01/01/2010 when she told my husband and I to look out of the window at the two orange lights in the sky. The night was clear and there were no fireworks going off at the tine, it couldn't have been airoplanes as they have white/red flashing lights, these were just two orange lights that shone constantly without flashing at all. We watched them circle then swoop past each other and disappeared south. I couldn't believe my eyes and felt quite scared, my husband told me not to be silly and to go to sleep, I just couldn't stop thinking about it and I found your website and have since learned we weren't the only ones to have seen it! This is the weirdest thing I've ever known.

Is there any way we could contact the government/met office to find out if they know what they were considering the amount of witnesses to this?

Seaham, County Durham Witness - Object Looked Like It Was On Fire

Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, I also saw the same object you are talking about but it was on Wednesday 14.10.09. It looked about the same size, 1 inch when 1st spotted. To me it looked like an object on fire as in the distance you could see spark like objects falling off it.

I am in Seaham, County Durham. I first noticed it coming over the house tops as I was playing on the field with my 6 year old son and his new glowing helicopter, it wasn’t that high in the sky when 1st seen it, but quickly rose up and continued to travel south.

At 1st it was travelling south, then started to move north towards me as I was getting very excited as I thought I was about to witness my 1st ever UFO encounter, but then it quickly turned south again and just carried on moving south until out of site.

But I am not now sure if it was a burning object if it was seen 3 days later in Teesside? Maybe it’s a new craze the kids have of burning objects and somehow floating them around? But whatever it was it was travelling quite quickly and never stopped glowing until out of site, if it was on fire surely it would have burnt up quite quickly and came crashing to the ground.

My son wanted to go home and won’t go down the field anymore in the dark as he keeps saying the aliens are going to come back? Whatever it was you are not alone in seeing it, but I am not sure exactly what I saw. Regards.
