Strange Bright Light Just Disappears Over Brampton Ontario

Date:  April 5, 2012
Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I'm surprised to know I'm not the only one noticing the same bright lights over Brampton. As I write this comment, I am still looking through the window to see if this bright light comes back. It was around 10:30 p.m., when I saw this odd light, but this time, it had also flashing red lights.

I know what you are thinking, it could be a plane, but the problem is, they were not moving.

Suddenly, it disappeared. When this odd light was gone, two other lights, which initially it looked like a star started moving, until it disappeared.

I've been watching the sky every night now, and I agree with this last post, it happens always at the same time. The funny part is they seem to pose as stars.

It really started to scare me,  what are these things? Why they are watching us like that?

These events it seems to be happening a lot all over the world.

I have more questions than answers, that's for sure. I'm at Chinguacousy and Sandalwood area, if you are seeing the same thing, please tell us your story.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

  1. UPDATE: Today, for the first time I could see and confirm what I've been suspecting already. Something is really going on here. That bright light I see every night in Brampton, is an UFO.
Why I never realized I have a Canon Video Camera...(omg) sitting right on my closet waiting to be used...but today I got it and I caught on video and let me tell you... I was shaking and terrified.
From far away, like I said on previous comments...it look like a star... the brightest I have ever seen... I even thought it could be a planet.... but I was wrong again. I even borrowed my brother-in-law's telescope but it is so old and in bad shape that I easily gave up...

Anyway, it was around 10ish pm... I can see this bright light again. It doesn't move..., until I had the zoom on.. wowwww. It has a oval shape but at times it can change shapes...and of course it moves (fast) ... in the middle has many red lights.
I had to be there watching for almost a hour... but this time I could see it was moving and changing position... and then...that's when i noticed sparkles... the sky got bright... in flashes.... like thunders... i could see red dots flying around... and the sky was flashing.. it look like something was firing, do you understand what I mean. I started shaking and stopped recording... I was frozen...and I started to think I was going crazy and who would believe me... i went to my daughter's room and I hugged her... i was scared and it was like being in a science fiction movie + my beliefs + religion ... it was all mixed up. btw, my husband woke up and he was so mad when I started to explain... he doesnt to believe and he wants me to stop watching the sky but honestly, now It's too late.. as I am convinced something is REALLY going on.
That object is so big and so bright... it doesnt look is REALLY trying to hide. I don't believe the military or the control tower didn't see anything...and I don't want to believe I am the only one seeing this.

  3. Hey, I saw a really brilliant light in the sky to the north on May26,2012 in Brampton. I live in the Chingaucousy and Queen St. area and I saw the light from my 2nd story window about 10pm. I went to get my binoculars and when I returned it was gone. It hung motionless in the sky, it seemed to be quite low and was much brighter than any plane would have been. I will be looking for it in the future with my camcorder at the ready.

  5. September 26th 11 pm. I seen this yesterday night guys. Was talking to a friend of mine when I noticed a brighhht like you guys don't even understand how bright this red light was. It looked like a meteor or something and I was just expecting it to be a shooting star or something I don't know. Although it wasn't... I can be 100% sure that I saw this thing yesterday night. I didn't have long to look at it as as soon as I looked I watched it start to fly towards the left of the sky... it was going slow enough for me to see its circular shape and the bright red light just stayed on. Guys this whole process took mabye 5 seconds or less. Once it moved to the left abit i seen it blur out and just vanish. It LEFT A DAMN SMOKE CLOUD! It was so close I could see it clearly. BRAMPTON guys. I've never seen something like this in my life and now I wish I could again. My friend did not see it as he was talking to me while he stood up with his back faced towards it. To me it seemed as soon as I looked it started to takeoff although it didn't just go into "warp speed" at takeoff. It actually seemed to need some speed to go into warp speed I assume. My friend asked me what was wrong because I was just looking at the smoke cloud it had left behind.. I was stunned.

  6. I see the same brilliantly lit, extremely large object all the time here in West Virginia. It's making me nuts trying to figure out what it is! On evenings it appears, it's visible for about 30 to 40 minutes before it sinks below the horizon. What "Star" does that?
My area is mountainous and remote (Pocahontas County) and also home to the Greenbank National Radio Astronomy Observatory. Because of the telescopes, we're in a mandatory "Quiet zone," inclusive of airplanes.
There's a rural airport in the next County, but the planes that use it aren't large, commercial jets with a headlight that is as large and bright as the light in the sky.
Being X Military in the field of aviation, I'm familiar with airplanes.
The object is NOT any type of aircraft. It doesn't have strobes or green/red running lights.
It's not flares or a satellite or the International Space Station.
I've tried viewing the object with high power binoculars, but it's too bright to be able to discern a true shape.
I've tried to find a rational explanation for what I'm seeing, but I'm coming up with squat.
I purchased a complex star map from the observatory that coordinates stars with the time and date. This object is not located anywhere on the star chart.
Probably the strangest thing about this object is what happens after it dips below the mountain. Nine times out of ten, it will sink below the horizon and completely disappear, then pop back up for an instant before disappearing for the final time! Weird!

  7. Last night we were Lakeside and the sky was full of stars. Suddenly 5 of us see this bright light (brighter than a star) moving horizontally...thinking it was a plane, but then it abruptly went out. This light wasn't like a falling star...we see tons of those in August where our cottage is located. So what gives?

  8. All,
    we live in Brampton (ON).
This time my wife was with me when this ball of fire crossed the sky gong south/ southwest. no noise whatsoever, slight tail, seems fire as the shape is irregular, red/orange color, faster than any plane, slower than any meteor.
this is my second time and gladly not alone this time to avoid the usual jokes about seeing things. We were and are not drinking. What the heck is this thing?

  9. Me nd my wife saw this same type of star with a red light faintly flashing in the middle. It stood their for quiet some time. When we went on our business for about 10min I checked for it but it was gone. That star was unnaturally bright for a star I would say. Where from South Africa and this happened around 8:40pm tonight. Da hell do these things want up there? Cant they go to Mars or Pluto where there is only bacteria to worry about. I wonder what this means.

  10. It happened to my in three different occasions, three different places. The first time, was at Ibiuna, State of São Paulo, Brazil. A very dark and limpid night, about 10:30 pm. I was checking the electric installation of an hydraulic pump which supplies water to my home when suddenly I felt a heat sensibility in my neck back. I don´t know why, but I look up to the dark sky and saw a very brilliant light that tentatively I identified as Venus. The vision last for few seconds: the light dimmed, and vanished completely. In the other two occasions, I was driving late in the night in lonely places in Natividade da Serra, State of São Paulo and Puerto La Laja, Spain. Again, dark and limpid nights. The brilliant lights were just in front of me. I was observing them through the car's windshield. The lights abruptly disappeared in dark night background. I always feel a sort of shudder recalling these visions.

  11. I have been seeing this light too, I thought it was the slowest plane ever, but it does not move, it just sits there and then is gone, I have watched it for over an hour, No ides what it is but I do not believe in UFOs, besides it just sits there then disappears

  12. I live in Kingston ON and have seen a bright light many, many nights. I've seen it retract away until it disappears. It isn't always in the same place but it is usually seen around the same time each night. I've also seen a silent low-flying slow-moving aircraft with a flashing red light heading towards Gan.
