We have just seen the same things west of North Bay Ontario. It also lasted about an hour. Same description as the last post. Once a plane started approaching from the east the light disappeared.
The bigger light seemed to change from a bright white light to a orange tint and back.

in new jersey on 4/2/2012 i was looking at venus and it looked like something passed in front of it. I grabbed my binoculars and looked. at first behind venus, it looked like 7 or 8 blue lights lined up like a dipper. I thought the lens was smudged but it appeared in both. maybe a reflection cast off of venus? idk any ideas?
