Orange Lights Spotted Flying Towards Torquay And Exeter UK

Date:  June 4, 2011 and June 11, 2011
Time:  11:00 p.m. and just before midnight.

Saturday June 4, 11:00pm, an orange light approached from the sea and turned across the coast towards Torquay. This was followed by two more orange lights which separated slightly, then the three of them gradually faded in the distance.

Possibly helicopters, but the lights were steady, no flicker, and were still visible when they were travelling away.

Saturday 11 June, just before midnight, looking towards Exeter, seemed to be a searchlight from a height of about 500 feet, from a stationary point that swiveled one way then the other for about 5 minutes at least from the time I saw it.  Too high to be ground based, mostly hidden by low cloud, but always just visible.

Fascinating!

Mist Shrouded UFO Over Torquay UK

Date: August 28, 2010
Time: 11:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Torquay UK.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 1
Shape of Objects:

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We had a bbq that evening and after dark, as usual, we spotted several lanterns travelling west/east at roughly the same height and speed, we even launched a few ourselves. At about 11.30 my eldest son (27) and I were still outside when we saw what we thought was yet another lantern, but this time it was coming from the north to south and was quite dim.

It seemed to be descending as it headed straight for us and as it got closer we could clearly see it was definitely not a lantern, but something quite different, the night was clear with stars, as this thing passed over our heads with no sound at all.

We could see what I can only describe as a pillow shape of mist with an orange light inside. It had no clear edges or hard surfaces and no other lights. It just looked like this large orange light had it's very own cloud shrouding it. As it passed over us it gained speed and altitude and sped off very quickly. We see a lot of planes here due to navigation beacon at Berry Head, but nothing....ever, like that.

Bright Orange Lights Over Torquay Devon England UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 12:30 to about 1:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Torquay Devon England.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of Objects: 6 or more.
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My son phoned me to go outside and look out at a row of bright orange UFOs. They were heading westwards towards the sea. Very bright and silent. They were not balloons because a couple stopped for a few seconds then moved downwards then the two moved backwards after about a minute they continued to follow the others. I am sure that many people saw them as they were about the size of my little finger nail.

Orange Light Over Torquay England UK

Date: January 2, 2010
Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

Me and my son saw one orange light over Torquay last night 2nd January 2010 at about 11.30 in the evening. It came from Newton Abbott way towards us at Chelston not moving very fast and flashing a few times as it moved. I opened my sons bedroom window, just incase it was a plane, but it was dead quiet and a very clear night. Just as I closed the window, it disappeared. Very strange.

11 Round Orange Spheres Over Torquay Devon England UK

Date: January 1, 2010
Time: 12:07 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Torquay Devon England.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of Objects: 11
Shape of Objects: Round orange spheres.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: My son phoned me from his girlfriends house excitedly telling me to look out of the window. He was there with a couple of friends. I raced to the front window and saw four bright orange spheres going over the roof of my bungalow towards the southwest. Two of the spheres stopped, went downwards then retraced backwards to the two that were following behind. It was a clear still night sky. My mind was racing thinking well these cannot be lanterns or balloons as they don't stop and go backwards. They made no sound. They were so lovely and such a rich bright orange colour, I was mentally willing them to come back and closer so I could have a better look. I did make this report yesterday, but must of filled this form incorrectly. I checked your site today and was amazed at how many other people saw them.
