Cylindrical UFO Caught On Film Over South Perth Western Australia (Pictures)

Full Description of Event/Sighting: On the April 18, 2010, I attended the Red Bull Air Race in Perth, Western Australia. I am an amateur photographer, and was keen to get some shots of the show from the southern side of the river facing the city.

I took over 200 shots on the day, and whilst I noticed nothing at the time, I later found an object in 3 of the shots during post processing of the photographs (I saw nothing at the time, however given the speed of what appears in the shot, and with the viewfinder of my camera up to my eyes for much of the day, I wouldn't expect to see anything).

The photos were taken at 1:08 p.m., according to the camera timer. I took 3 photos in less than 1 second total, in accordance with the Canon 500D DSLR specs. Each of the 3 photos was taken at 1/80th of a second, in both JPEG and RAW format.

The 3 photos show a stationary news helicopter on the left, and a competitor's plane in the center which appears to hardly move in the 3 shots despite travelling at speed vertically, such was the speed of the 3 photos taken.

The object in the background (or is it a small object close to the lens?) baffles me. It appears to be moving very fast. It is either large, distant and extremely fast moving, or just the opposite.

It appears to have no tail such as a meteor might have, and in fact may also be travelling in a slightly upwards direction.

The photos were taken into the sun with a polarizer filter on, and with smoke haze from the aircraft, they did not turn out like I would have liked.

My only adjustments to them, however, relate to color and contrast, with no changes to the object in question itself.

This is the first time I have reported the photos as a sighting. A while ago I sent them to a Ufologist in Australia and the conclusion was that they may be an insect up close, in the absence of any other information.

I have my doubts however, to me it looks large, fast and distant. For that reason I have decided to report what I have, and let others decide.

Considering the kind of photo this is, following a fast moving stunt plane under such excellent lighting conditions across several frames and excellent information from the photographer, the unknown cylindrical object is clearly moving extremely fast -- the lack of blurring almost surely eliminates the possibility of this being a bug passing close by the camera (which can often create the illusion of a high speed craft covering great distances).

In this case also we have in the last frame the object much smaller showing it has moved further away from the photographer, and yetremains sharply defined. All in all, this is an excellent UFO photograph.

Flaming Object Shoots Across The Sky Over Auchterarder Perth And Kinross Scotland UK

I was driving up A9 passing Auchterarder Saturday 3/3/2012 around 22:30 and saw 2 flames shooting across the sky. It was like aero engines, very fast, but no noise, also quite low.

UFO Hovers Then Turns Red And Shoots Off Over Perth Scotland

Full Description of Event/Sighting: It was a cold evening and I had recently given birth to my daughter when I was in my flat located on the Creiff Road in Perth when a very bright light caught my eye over the old rail yard across the road at what is known as the white bridge. 

 

I opened the window as I thought it was at first a helicopter, but there was no sound whatsoever. It shot off to the right at very high speed, so I went out my flat and onto the balcony at the back.

 

It was there over to my left just hovering, but changed colour to red and it then shot off diagonally into the sky. This was witnessed by my husband. I did not call anyone as I thought that people would think I was crazy.

Bright Orange Lights Over Kinnoull Hill Area Of Perth Scotland UK

Hi Brian, in May\June 2010 I spotted 3 orange lights in the sky above my house (Kirkcaldy, Scotland), they were in a row with a similar distance between them. Then Christmas Eve I seen 5 orange lights again in a row floating across the sky around the Dunfermline area. Again on New Years Day morning around 12.30am I seen 5 bright orange lights in a random pattern above the Kinnoull hill area of Perth, they appeared to fade.

I see from your site that there have been similar sightings in Perth, Scotland. Regards.

Copper Colored UFO And Strip Of Light Over Perth Scotland

Shape of Objects: One bright strip of light. One circular object.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Looking out at the northeast skyline from my home. I could clearly see two unusual objects moving in tandem in the sky. One was a bright silver strip of light which moved upwards and disappeared into a cloud within 10 seconds or so. The other one was an unusual shape, like a double fist.

It looked heavy and substantial, copper or brown with a lot of contour on the body. This one continued to move slowly across in a southerly direction. Stopping, hovering and moving up and down slowly before disappearing into the distance behind a large cloud formation. Its nothing like I have ever seen before.

Definitely not an airplane, helicopter or weather balloon. I even checked with the small aerodrome nearby and they don't use any kind of weather balloons and could not explain what i had witnessed.

Intense Orange Amber And Red Flash From Object Over Perth Scotland UK

Date: August 27, 2010
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, the date was Friday 27th 2010, the location was Perth, Scotland, UK. My girlfriend and I were out walking our dogs at around 9:30pm. We noticed a very intense orange/amber orb-like shape approaching through the cloud level. It didn't seem to deviate its course and made no sound.

It then suddenly changed its direction and turned left 90 degrees; it then began to pick up speed at an incredible rate - faster than any plane would normally. Just before it was lost from sight, a red flash of light appeared around the object before it disappeared from view.

Never seen anything like before - its movements were unlike anything we've ever seen before.

4 Bright Orange Lights Over Perth Scotland

Time: Approx: 10:25 p.m.

hi Brian, yes I can confirm the UFOs over Perth, but it was 14th Saturday at approx 22.25 pm when we saw them. Me my wife and son were traveling north on the a9 min past the Mercedes dealers at the roundabout at Perth, we saw 4 bright orange lights in the sky all at different heights moving very slow. I tried to pull in to the nearest lay by, but is was too far, so I turned back towards Perth.

We lost sight of them on the way back, but when we turned back up the a9 we saw them again. This time we pulled in and managed to get photos, another very strange thing when we went north approximately 5 minute and approximately later a convoy of about 8 to 10 black Mercedes, all the same kind of cars pulled off the a 9 very fast. They were all over the road as they tried to take a very small left turn which left a number of cars in the middle of the road. We had to take action not to hit them, as they were all over the road. Large Bright Orange Light Over Perth Scotland UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was letting the dogs out to the garden when we saw this big bright orange light that looked like a ball of fire moving about the same speed as maybe a helicopter. We watched it for roughly 4 to 5 minutes. It was heading in the north direction and then it just disappeared. It defiantly was not an aircraft as there was no noise. It was very strange. It looked like it was a fire on the move!

Fireball With Tail Over Perth WA Australia

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I saw exactly the same phenomenon like a couple of husband and wife witnessed on May 23rd of 2009. (http://www.ufoinfo.com/sightings/australia/090523.shtml) OnJuly 18th 2010, I was walking along Victoria Park and suddenly noticed a large bright star in the sky. It was shining like a fire ball unlike any other stars at a low altitude. I told my sister and we both stared at it along the way to our home. When we almost reached home (note that the object doesn’t move yet its light changed intermittently), we both saw the object faded and shined again and it faded until we couldn't see it anymore.

At that moment my sister turned around I saw a meteor, I don’t know how to describe it, it only lasted for less than 1 second right after the object disappeared. And it was a fireball tail like what the witness described on May 23rd 2009. The weird thing is, the meteor flashed at a very far point from where the object faded. I also saw the fireball tail phenomenon in a night of February 2010 (around 10:00 PM) which also lasted less than a second. (Time: approx 7:00 – 8: 00 PM)

The following day, July 19th 2010, I got home around 7:00 PM and surprised that the object appeared precisely at the same point in the sky like the day before that yet this time I stared at it for one hour and it wouldn’t fade away until all the cloud covered my sight. I also asked my house mates to look at it, but they wouldn’t believe it a UFO, they just assumed it was kind of orbit, balloon air with light, forecast ball or lantern, Venus but it doesn’t seem like that to me. My house mate said that if it was an UFO, the government would have canceled the flights like China's event or it would have been on the cover page of the newspaper, but yes he believed that it couldn't be a star.

2 Bright Orange Balls Of Light Over Perth Scotland

Date: May 22, 2010
Time: Evening.

Hi, myself and my wife were both sitting outside our house tonight and in the sky these 2 orange balls of light appeared in the sky. They were moving at the speed of a helicopter at what I would say was about 10000 feet. We were unsure of what they were, and then about a minute later there was another bright orange ball in the sky. It was moving at the speed of a helicopter and then stopped. It then just disappeared. I am very skeptical about such things and take a lot of persuading, but these lights really made me think.

Please can you explain.

Forgot to say, we are in Perth, Scotland and this is weird.

Bright Balls Of Light Over Perth Scotland UK

Date: January 1, 2010

Time: 12.05 a.m.

On 1st January my son and I went to look from our kitchen window at the fireworks being set off to celebrate the New Year. We live in Perth, Scotland and we have a panoramic view facing North. It was 12.05am when we saw a very bright light coming from the North. It moved at the speed of a helicopter. The light remained constant. There were no flashing aircraft type lights and although we were inside we could hear no noise. At a guess maybe about 10,000 feet. It passed overhead Perth.

Not long afterwards another similar light appeared with exactly the same flight path. ( Just to the east of Dunkeld) I looked at them both through a pair of binoculars, but I could see no detail except a bright ball of light. As this one was passing overhead another two lights appeared from the west of Dunkeld. They were quite distant and eventually disappeared behind some cloud. I read that there may be other sightings of these lights at the same time.
