Fast Moving Orange Light Over Luton UK

My husband and I have just seen a fast moving light, orange in colour. To me it looked as if it was twinkling. It was moving in a straight line, lower and faster than the planes we usually see.

Two Orange Balls Of Light Over Luton Bedfordshire UK

Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 2 about 10 minutes apart.
Shape of Objects: Round orange ball.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: We was sitting in our living room last night watching TV when I noticed a strange moving orange light in the sky. We all jumped up and went out into the garden to get a better look.

I can only describe it as an orange ball of light which was moving very fast, but silently. I did run to get the camera, but by the time I got back it had gone. After the first sighting I was finding myself watching the sky and to our amazement, roughly around ten minutes after the first sighting, another orange ball appeared and seem to appear from the same place the first one did.

This time I managed to take a picture with the camera.

Large Bright Orange Ball Of Light Over Luton UK

Date: October 2, 2011

Time: 8:50 p.m.

Hello, at 8:50pm today my fiancée and I were in our back garden having a cigarette and saw a very large bright orange ball of light (not flashing) appear high up and ahead of us. Estimated height lower than aeroplane, possibly less than a mile away. There was no noise.

It travelled away from us (in Dunstable), east-north-east approximately towards Luton airport.

It’s trajectory seemed to be descending and travelling in a straight line until it was out of sight (our view obscured by a hill). The duration was about 1 minute and apparent distance of travel guessed at 15 miles. The flight path was straight except for a slight apparent veer to the right.

There was an aeroplane high up, to the east - usual flashing beacons and sound. Vastly different to the deep orange very bright light we had just seen. The light was constant and not fading or pulsating.

Nothing on the news yet.

Large Orange Ball Of Flames Over Luton Bedfordshire England UK

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was looking out to the east, when we saw what I can only describe as a large ball of flames moving fairly rapidly over a fair distance in an arched trajectory in a southeasterly direction. As it climbed, the object became less visible, it pasted a plane in the sky and was at least 5 or 6 times its size.

4 Red Lights Over Luton UK

Time: After midnight.

Hi, four of us saw the same thing in Luton, UK just after midnight, there were 4 of them moving at a fast pace with no sound, we all ran outside to get a closer look. It lasted around 3 minutes and they moved too fast to even think about recording this wonderful event.

Red Orange Glowing Lights Over Luton Bedfordshire UK

Time: 12:30 a.m. - 12:45 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Luton Bedfordshire UK.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 4
Shape of Objects: Looked like ball shaped.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: After retiring to bed at around 10:45, I was unable to sleep due to fireworks. I got out of bed to see who the culprits were and through the fireworks I noticed a red/orange light travelling west to east. I knew it wasn't a plane, having lived here over 30 years. I thought it may have been a helicopter. I watched it cross the sky for about half a minute or so.

After a while I could tell it was odd as it appeared to be moving in a chugging fashion, like a rowing boat fast/slow. As that disappeared another object came into view travelling from the north west, but towards the same area. That eventually left my view, but was followed by another travelling the same route as the first and that was followed by the fourth, again travelling the same route as two others.


They were red/orange, glowing rather than bright. The first two were visible at the same time before the other two appeared in quick succession. I watched for a few minutes after the fourth disappeared but saw nothing else. Have there been any other reports? Regards.

2 Balls Of Orange Fire Over Luton UK

Hi there, two friends and I just saw (20:55) 2 balls of fire fly across the sky over Luton about a mile apart from each other and totally silent. After a quick Google I found this below and is a very similar description!
