Date: January 13 or 14th, 2012
Time: Approx: 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
As we were sitting in our porch, my wife out of the corner of her eye saw an orange "glow ball" rising above the tree-line. She thought that possibly it was a plane or helicopter on fire, for we are on the northeast side of Orlando Florida and are in the path of most inbound airliners to Orl International Airport.
The "sphere" came above the tree-line and we watched as it headed north. After traveling a short distance, it turned more easterly, towards I would say New Smyna Beach or Daytona. I got out the binoculars and could not see any markings whatsoever on the sphere.
In retrospect, I would believe that if we were standing next to this "sphere", I would have said it to be 10 -13 feet in circumference. None of us could figure what this possibly could have been.
As we went back to sit down, a few minutes later, up from the tree-line came another, and it was followed by another. Again with binoculars, we could not determine any markings on them, and they too at the same point, took an easterly path towards ocean.
These were very bright orange, as if you put a very very extremely bright light inside a pumpkin. All in all, we saw approximately 16 of these spheres in a 30 minute period, with last 3 coming over the tree-line in a triangular pattern, each exactly alike and the same exact "pattern of flight".
We are not far (8 miles) from the University of Cent, Florida, and thought possibly it was an experiment by the University.
The next day I saw 2 news media vans by my place of work, and took the opportunity to ask both channels, channel 6 and 9, if they had any reports of glowing spheres in the sky the previous evening, and to my astonishment they said no, that nothing was reported to the media.
We didn’t call because we thought for sure someone would call, because of the very unusual sightings we saw, all 4 of us, apparently no one did. Your article was very familiar to what we saw, and I thought mentioning it to you, that you would seem interested in this "phenomenon".
We watched the news the next 24 hours, looked on internet for any posts on the subject, and nothing- which really peeks our curiosity.
