Time: Evening.
I saw a huge fireball last night 6/17/08 from my Jacuzzi in Malibu. It streaked along the eastern sky south to north, at first I thought it was a shooting star then it got bigger and brighter with pieces flying off before getting really bright then disappeared.
Four others were with me and saw the event. It was the biggest I've ever seen.

While seeing a fireball in Jacuzzi-type whirlpool bathtubs might be a bit off, it would have been more vivid if you were outdoors.
