Time: Approx: 8:00 - 8:45 p.m.Hello, I live in Fresno, CA and last night 5-1-10 around 8:00-8:45pm some friends and I seen 6 flying objects moving real slow across the sky. The objects looked like orange balls of fire. The flying objects were not that far in the sky as you could see them real clear. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I tried to get a picture with my camera phone, but the image was not coming out good. I knew it wasn't a plane because how far apart they were and the formation they were in. No plane lights are set up like that.
I ran inside the house to tell my wife to look at what I'm seeing, she handed me our daughter and ran outside to look. She came back and said, there was a few more flying by. We were at a friends house watching a big boxing fight on TV, so after we seen the sighting, we just kind of forgot about it and were into the fight. I got home around 10:00pm and watched the 10:00 and 11:00 o'clock news to see if they would report it,none of the stations did. I really want to know what I saw last night. Could you please reply. On 10/13/12 at approximately 9:05pm I saw one round orange glowing object simular to what was mentioned here in fresno. I saw it at the corner of millburn an palo alto ave. Now the odd thing was I was outside looking for my cat with my flash light, when I saw the object I flashed my high powered flash light at it, turning it on and off. As I did this the orange object flashed white for a second and continued south bound. I watched it until it disapeared. The object made no sound, no blinking lights, it appeared to be approximately 1500 to 2000 ft high from the ground. The orange glow did resemble that of fire. Unlike an aircraft light, the orange glow continued as the object moved away from me. It was unlike an airplane light that continues glowing while moving towards you then disapears as it passes you.
ReplyDeletelast night, May 26th, as I was sitting on the sofa watching television, I noticed an odd orange object in the sky. It seemed to hover for a few minutes and then moved very slowly from East to West high in the sky. It was an unusual dull orange color with what appeared to be some flickering light coming from around the middle. There was no flashing bright lights, no trail of fire behind it. It appeared to be oval in structure and made absolutely no sound. I watched it for about four minutes as it slowly moved to the right, then, abruptly. it moved north and disappeared. At first, I thought it had been swallowed up behind the clouds, the wind had been very strong all weekend. But as it disappeared, I saw a plane not too far to the right (travelling left) of where the orange object had just been. The plane had the regularly flashing lights and moved much faster than what I had just seen. I have never seen anything like it. Did anyone else observe the same object (between 8:30 and 9pm last night? I would like to know.
ReplyDeleteI've never searched out one of these forums... ever, but i was searching for confirmation & a practical answer for what i've witnessed tonight, stumbled upon this page & thought I'd share. Today (yesterday now) July 5th 2014 approximately 11:30pm, I was travelling eastward on Bullard & once i arrived at Cedar I noticed what appeared to be an intense ball of fire in the distant south eastern sky (approximately 5 miles SE) in the direction of the airport. Noting its position I quickly dismissed this as a landing plane's headlights until I arrived at Barstow and Cedar (one block south) & the object seemed to indeed be a flame & appeared to hover in the same area and the "flame" seemed to intensify (becoming slightly taller & brighter) then sort of undulate, as if someone were operating a blowtorch. I watched it while i drove until it was obscured by the Fresno State landscape. Unfortunately I couldn't see that segment of sky from my place. My surveillance lasted about 3 minutes. I'm no expert on physics, but living in a direct flight path (& a not so great neighborhood) I see lots of planes & helicopters in various stages of elevation & haven't seen this effect yet. Is this an effect of a type of firework a helicopter on fire?
