Houston British Columbia Fire Camp For China Nose Wildfire (Pictures)

Today (August 22, 2014) I was heading down highway 16 just outside my home town of Houston, British Columbia when I drove by the fire camp. It holds a lot of the things the fire fighters would need when working on the China Nose Wildfire.

Actually I spoke with a fellow who was keeping people from driving up towards the fire on the Knockholt road, and he said the wildfire was approximately 45% contained. Of course as we know, things can change very quickly.

Here is the last update on the China Nose Wildfire: Friday, August 22, 2014 at 9:52 AM

There has been a estimated 3,700.0 hectares burnt

There are 181 firefighters working on this Wildfire. Also 11 helicopters and 13 pieces of heavy equipment, plus there are 34 support staff. assigned to this fire.

I do want to say a big thank you to all involved with fighting this fire. I did this myself years ago and it was a tough and dirty job.

Important Update For The China Nose Forest Fire (August 14, 2014)

The fire has grown in size to an estimated 2,900.0 hectares

There also is an Evacuation Order in effect for the areas listed below.

The below information is from the Forestry Management Branch.

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechako has issued an Evacuation Order for the following areas:

South from 9840 Heading Creek FSR, west to the Snow Mobile Cabin on Equity Mine Road, east to and including Crow Creek Road beyond the train tracks, east to 22387 and 22507, north to 25699 including Day Lake Road, southern portions of the Forest Dale Canyon Road, Bulkley Lake, Day Lake and Elwin Lake.

The Regional District of Bulkley-Nechacko has issued an Evacuation Alert for the following areas:

Highway 16 from 13003 continuing east and southeast on Highway 16 to 17670 including the North Road (north) and Maxan Road (south) including the north portion of the Sunset Forest Service Road.

China Nose Forest Fire 15 kilometres Outside Houston British Columbia

I loaded up a video clip of the China Nose forest fire outside of Houston, B.C.. I also took some more photos and video today.

Here are a few pictures I also took of the fire.

The picture above shows how the forest fire looked in the morning, there was no wind at all. Also taken from a friends home.

The picture above shows the fire building and the wind had started up as well, this would have been around noon and taken from my porch.

Residents of Houston and the surrounding region may see increased levels of smoke this week due to a wildfire burning about 15 kilometres southeast of the community.

Northwest Fire Centre Wildfire Information (This information comes from the B.C. Forest Service)

The fire is near China Nose Mountain and was likely sparked by lightning. It is presently estimated to cover 80 hectares and is in an area that is only accessible by air.

The Northwest Fire Centre would like to thank the public for submitting numerous phone reports about this fire, which allowed crews to respond quickly and efficiently.

Possible Sasquatch Or ? Sighting On China Nose Mountain Outside Of Houston British Columbia

Brian Vike’s Note: China Nose Mountain is just a short distance from Houston, so I jumped into the Jeep and took the drive out to the area. Beautiful and rugged country and certainly a great place for something odd to be hanging about.

 

I had gone to the area over 2 days, also ventured in from the backside of China Nose Mountain and was not able to find any signs of anything unusual, but one has to remember, covering the entire area is almost impossible to do for me. 

I have heard from folks that an area from the non working Equity mine down Foxy Creek has produced sightings of Sasquatch. This area runs in behind China Nose Mountain. I am looking for others who have been witness to Sasquatch or anything else out of the norm for this area. Hi Mr. Vike:

I live in Bellingham, Washington, and was visiting family this past week-end.

On Tuesday, August 6, 2013, my mother, 2 cousins, and I just finished watching 2 other cousins, brother, and sister and  brother-in-law, climb to the top of Taszuul, aka China Nose Mountain, north-west of Burns Lake BC. 

The photo below is of China Nose Mountain and taken by the people who had the encounter.

 Attached is a picture and video of an encounter that really is unbelievable. We noticed what we initially thought was someone ascending the face of the mountain.  At first, we cited another climber, but with the rapid climb, we figured a goat, but there are no black goats.

We yelled to those on the mountain and then texted our cousin that whatever it was, it was heading upward close to their area quickly. Whatever it was stopped.  

Three of us had cameras and interestingly, 3 out of four had immediate trouble with their cameras. One was having trouble and shaking.

We thought Sasquatch? Alien? Who is going to believe us and decided to go up the road to pick berries and when we returned, that figure was gone. Many do not believe us when we share our experience.

Few state four witnesses could not be discounted and urged me to review your website, and provide you with my photo and video. 

My hope is you can corroborate our story. I believe my cousins would also be willing to share their pictures and/or video with you.

This is not a hoax and if you wish to contact me, you can respond to this message or contact me at (phone number removed). My cousin’s photo is much better and these ones may be the ones taken beforehand, but please review.

Hi, I'm back in Washington. We had an MVA in Fraser Lake and are fine, but shaken.

I don't believe that picture shows the black object we saw. I think that might be a crevasse. What we saw was larger than the people on top and it was ascending. It wasn't a crevasse nor was it a shadow.

The photo below shows one of the women pointing in the area where they saw the figure on China Nose Mountain. 

 I hope it is identified. The best that can be done is to cross reference it and the videos with a recent photo.

On the same note, I’m an RN of 19 years and before I left B.C. in 2002 to travel, I hiked atop with my sister and brother. Atop the first climb in a grassy area in the tree-line.

 

I was the first to get to that point, I heard the bush move and a huge thump that my sister and I both felt. We thought it was a bear or goat, but I turned around and told the others to hurry and didn't want to scare them. My sister saw the scared look in my eyes and also felt this movement on the earth

I’m sending another photo, I think the object is smaller than that crevasse looking thing that looks like a climber.

Metallic UFO Probes Vehicle Later Witness Has Nose Bleeds Migraines And Horrible Dreams Happened Over Palisades Parkway New York

Shape of Objects: Hard to describe, a metallic probe w/spotlight cylindrical.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: This is the first time I have ever written of this event. Late evening around 9:30 p.m., we were coming home from my aunts house in Spring Valley NY. We were in my mothers Toyota, Corolla teal green hatchback.

The color is important to the story. As we were driving along I noticed something pretty far away scanning the forest, that is parallel to the Parkway, with a beam of intense white light. It was just scanning as if looking for something.

There weren't any other vehicles on the road, traveling east or west. I was sitting in the backseat and my mother drove, the windows in the back did not roll down, but opened a little with a push-out lever, so that it pushed outwards about 3 inches only from the back part of the window.

It's hard to describe unless you've ridden in one. I kept watching it as it slowly made its way closer towards the Parkway. It was eventually going to intersect the with the lanes. As it went over the car, the beam changed color from white to the exact color of the car, a brilliant teal-green/blue beam of light.

The beam also narrowed just to barely encompass the car. At this point my mother began to get scared and wanted to get home as soon as possible. I tried in vain to look at the object from the back of the car. I couldn't get my head out of the window to get a real good look.

It followed us for what seemed like 5 minutes and then crossed the highway and the beam changed back to white again and began to continue scanning the woods for something. We reached exit 12 which was the Mt Ivy Route 45 exit back then.

We got off the Parkway and turned onto Rte 45, made a right as we traveled less than 1/4 mile. We were on a sort of elevated hill as we came into Mt Ivy. I could then see the object clearly because it was only 300 feet away from the car.

It's hard to describe, it had a cylindrical shape, but not uniform. It looked metallic and rotated had a small red light on top, looked like a probe of some sort. It had markings of some kind as well. As we went down the hill it continued west and was now parallel to Route 202 heading towards Suffern.

We live in Pomo Andna so we had to travel 3 minutes more on Rte 202. I saw it it get further and further away from us just scanning the woods with its spotlight. We get home soon after and we get out of the car get inside.

There was a bright full moon that night, mom got her house key out, opened the door and we ran in. We went straight to bed and we never talked about the incident. Many thing are odd about that entire night.

 

Firstly, we always went to my Aunt's house on the weekend, but we never took the Parkway because it doesn't make sense.

 

We would have gone on Route 45 which connects Spring Valley to Pomona by a more direct route only turning onto Route 202 for the last 3 miles of the trip.

 

Secondly, I remember traveling south instead of north when we approach Exit 12. That makes no sense because we would have been coming in from Upstate NY and we never did that.

 

Thirdly, whenever we got home we always talked and watched TV and stayed up until midnight. That didn't happen .

 

Other things happened consequently, but that for another time, nose bleeds, migraines and horrible dreams of not being alone at night. A mysterious presence and a petrifying fear of something in my room at night that plagued me for years.
