Three Round Orange Balls Of Light Over Greenwood Missouri

Shape of Objects: Round orange balls.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: The lights were bright coming from the southeast in an arc over Greenwood Missouri. They faded as they curved to the north and went completely dim as the headed to the northeast.

I am a pilot and can typically identify aircraft. These were very bright as if on fire while they approached us. We were in south Lees Summit and the lights were at about 25 to 30 degrees above the horizon. Very interesting.

Object Looked Like It Was On Fire Over Greenwood Indiana

UFO Investigator Brian Vike Note: It was not me who saw the lights, but another person who had filed a report to me.

Hello, I just found your post in which you explained what you saw in the sky over Greenwood, IN on July 12.

My husband and I were just outside (just after 10:00 p.m.) and saw much the same thing. It started in the west and flew past us toward the northeast.

It looked like something was on fire, but like you said was too slow to be a meteor. Anyway we thought it was strange.

Tried to get a picture, but it was too far away to get much. Thanks.

Brilliant Orange Ball/Light Seen Flying Over Greenwood Indiana

Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

My son and I were sitting on the patio last night in Greenwood, Indiana (July 12th at about 10 PM) when we noticed what at first appeared to be some sort of fireworks go straight up into the sky west of us.

We expected to see it explode, but it kept rising and then started to move towards us to the east.

As it got closer to us, it the light appeared to wobble or oscillate slightly from side to side so we thought it was probably a helicopter with a search light, but it clearly wasn't a white light as is normal with search lights, as it passed overhead there was no sound coming from it whatsoever.

It was unlike anything either of us had ever seen. As it passed it grew fainter and fainter and seemed to gain altitude very quickly and then disappeared.

About 15 minutes later as we were discussing it, we saw another come from the same spot and it did exactly the same thing as before.

We called my daughter in law out from the house and she saw it too.

It appeared to be a brilliant orange ball almost like a fireball, but it did not appear to be a meteor as we have seen them before and it wasn't trailing any sparks nor was it going very fast.

Strange to say the least.
