Did You See The Ahwatukee Lights?

Just over a month after the anniversary of the Phoenix Lights some mysterious lights appeared over Ahwatukee Foothills.

 

I didn’t see the lights myself, but Ahwatukee Foothills resident Laurie Elle did and she did her best to snap photos and video before the lights disappeared.

 

Laurie said it was Saturday, March 24 when she saw the lights. She was sitting in her front room working on Facebook and getting ready to leave for the night.

When she opened her door she saw some strange moving lights near Pecos Road.

Bright Orange Ball Of Light Over Gila River Reservation In Ahwatukee Foothills Arizona

 

Date:  March 31, 2012

Time:  Approx: 9:00 p.m.

 

Last night around 9:00 p.m. I saw a bright orange ball heading from the west. As it passed over there was no sound. It appears to have up righted itself and come down over the Gila River Reservation in Ahwatukee Foothills.

I'm pretty sure I just saw the same thing, I even got it on video.

Green White Fireball With Red Tail And Orange Lights Seen Over Ahwatukee Arizona

 

Date:  December 31, 2011

Time:  Approx: 8:15 p.m.

 

I saw it too. We were in the Jacuzzi at our apartments in Awahtukee and I saw a greenish/whitish fireball travel across the sky from the south to the north.

 

When I initially saw it, it had a red tail, but the red quickly disappeared.

 

Shortly after that, I saw the two orange balls on the west side of the sky. One was falling and the other was heading south. My son and boyfriend saw the orange balls as well.

Lime Green Colored Object And Tail Seen From Ahwatukee Arizona

Time:  Approx: 8:15 p.m.

 

I actually saw it develop in plain view from a small bit of white light into it's full lime green color until it fizzled out. I was headed due east from Ahwatukee on Pecos Road towards the I-10. It started out very faint. I thought it was a low flying plane, but I noticed there were no blinking lights which was odd.

 

At the very beginning of it forming a tail, I thought I was a reflection of a fuselage or body of a craft but I soon realized it was a meteor of some sort. It formed a much longer tail as it brightened significantly and headed due north. It was striking as it seemed to go through low cloud but I'm sure it was way above that. It was a nice display!
