Green Blue Fireball With Tail Seen Traveling Over The Sandia Mountains From Corrales New Mexico

Hi, I also saw the bright object. I was outside in Corrales last night with four family members and at around 8:15 p.m. We saw what looked like a shooting star above the Sandia Mountains which was moving quickly (moving east to west).

 

It soon entered the atmosphere and looked like a greenish blue fireball with a tail. It looked pretty big. It glowed orange at the end and then disappeared. It was definitely weird!

Witness Watches Glowing Red Orange Green Object With Huge Tail Over Sandia Knolls New Mexico

I saw this from the Sandia Knolls, NM, it was right around 8:15ish. Truly eye catching! I was eating a salad while watching New Year celebration on TV with uncovered picture windows in front of me.

 

A very large object that lit up the sky in full view of our windows. Traveled from the SE to NW. Stayed in view for several seconds. Lost sight of it behind trees, but could still see it when I ran outside!

 

Huge contrail, with the head glowing Red/Orange/Green. One of the most amazing sights I have seen in a long time! Meteor or space debris...or ?
