The Roswell Briefing - Talks About A Crashed UFO And Alien Bodies
(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Re-posted by Brian.
Date: 1976
Brian Vike has been speaking to a gentleman, who was a LT. COL, USAFR (Ret). (He was a F-111 pilot with the 27th Tactical Fighter Wing stationed at Cannon AFB near Clovis, New Mexico from 1973 to August 1977).
His initial email to me was over a post/report I sent out which I entitled, "Cannon, AFB - UFOs, Burned Circles and Cow Found Mutilated".
Also in the fellows letter to me, the man mentioned that he was one of approximately 48 officers who received the "Roswell Briefing" in June of 1976 at the base.
I wrote back to him asking if he might be kind enough to supply me with what was said at the briefing, so below is what the fellow sent to me. The "Roswell Briefing" is in one of the two jpg images in which he sent along, both are of text information.
Below Image: Page 1
The Vike Factor is of course interested in any further information that anyone might be able to provide from military personal who may have been at this briefing back in 1976, or any information from anyone who has knowledge of the goings on over the Roswell Crash.
You can reach me at sighting@telus.net or by visiting my website which is provided in this report. I also can be contacted at (phone number removed).
Please know that everyone's personal information is kept strictly private and is not given out to anyone. The information someone might be able to provide can be extremely important.
Thank you, Brian Vike.
Brian, I have included pages 1 and 3 of my "The Roswell Briefing" which I penned in the mid 1990s. The briefing may, in fact, have been less than 5 minutes in duration.?
Most of the information has been well documented in volumes of Roswell lore buy the likes of Randle, Schmitt, Friedman, etc..
The lone exception perhaps is that the briefing officer mentioned the probable cause of the craft's demise as determined by the USAF accident investigation team ?
Below Image: Page 2
If there is anything significant about all this, it's simply that a USAF intelligence officer, briefing from an official government documents, disclosed to a group of military aircrew members details of an event which officially never happened.
The F-111s have long gone from the base ? The squadron was de-activated and the young intelligence officer left active duty reportedly to accept a position with an intelligence agency at a higher level.
Below Image: Another page, but talking about Roswell's event.
The Roswell Briefing was conducted in June 1976.? It was a full 20 years before I jotted down my recollections.?
Senator Goldwater subsequently confirmed on a morning talk show that he did try to gain access to the now famous Hanger 18.?
As far as I'm concerned, that alone was enough for me to dispel any doubt about the authenticity of the briefing officer's material.? Sure would like to have seen the letterhead on his document, however.
Warmest Regards.
The two text images will be added after I get things figured out. (The Vike Factor)
Brian Vike’s Note: I have typed up the letter from the two images and this text information is below, plus as you can see, the two images of text have been included in this report.

Setting The Stage.
The year was 1976. The country had survived the OPEC oil embargo. Vietnam was starting to fade, if not from memory, at least from daily newscasts. It would be another four years before the USA Olympic hockey team would inject a nationwide burst of pride with their heart-stopping victory over the Soviet team.
Across the “fruited Plain”, community planners were in full swing preparing for the big bash. The Bicentennial birthday of the United States. Near the Potomac River was there an even bigger birthday surprise being planned?
The Pittsburgh Steelers were dominating football. The Chevy Monte Carlo was the “in” design in the automotive world. “Jaws” was scaring movie audiences everywhere. Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy” topped the music charts.
A family of four could dine out for ten dollars. Corporate America was being introduced to two new buzzwords – Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action.
Near the Texas/New Mexico border town of Clovis, life was a combination of wind, wheat, cattle and F-111’s.
One hundred miles of pool-table flat plains lay between Clovis and the nearest city, Amarillo, Texas. It was a good place to raise a young family, a great place to fly the Mach 2, swing-wing F-111 Aardvark.
A scant five miles west of Clovis sprawled Cannon AFB, home of the 27th Tactical Fighter Wing.
For over two decades the men and women who managed , maintained and flew the F-111D enjoyed a great relationship with the community as a whole. It was a solid civilian/military marriage.
One typical Friday afternoon the officers and enlisted personnel of, lets call it Alpha Squadron as a professional courtesy to those who may wish to remain anonymous, were making their way to the unit’s auditorium for the monthly meeting.
At the other end of the building a young intelligence officer was gathering his briefing slides and notes together for his usual presentation of Soviet military developments and other global events he felt might be pertinent, if not interesting. Routine format, dry content, boring delivery.
The standard package so-to-speak, not this time, remark that the members of Alpha Squadron will never forget.
“Gentleman, if any of you happen to be flying saucer buffs, I have something that may be of interest. Some of you may already be familiar with the Roswell incident back in 1947. I ran across this briefing summary”.
It was difficult to hear his explanation of where or how he came to possess this unusual subject matter because of the laughter and extraneous talking between the pilots and weapons system operators.
When the noise quieted down, the officer continued his briefing in a most matter-of-fact and professional manner. It only lasted seven minutes. When he finished, he simply put the document from which he was reading back into his briefcase, thanked us for our attention, and departed.
The following, to the best of my recollection, is what was covered in that briefing. No more, no less. The author has taken the liberty to paraphrase for continuity.
July 1947. The wreckage of what appeared to be a craft of unknown extraterrestrial origin crashed on a ranch near Roswell, NM.
Inspection by a team of qualified accident investigators concluded that the cabin experienced a rapid decompression in flight which incapacitated the crew to the point where recovery from the resulting out-of-control condition was not possible. (There was no explanation as to what caused the rapid decompression).

There were four or five (the briefing officer was not precise) occupants on board the ill-fated ship. One apparently survived for a short duration. They were approximately four feet in height.
Their complexion was gray. Each had a large head, almond shaped dark eyes, a small slit where the mouth would be, and an abnormal finger arrangement at the end of long, slender arms.
They were slight of build. No evidence of body hair was detected.
Metallic pieces of wreckage exhibited the unusual characteristic of being able to return to their original smooth form even if crumpled like aluminum foil. Much of it was silver-purplish in hue.
The larger pieces (cockpit, cabin, and shell) were taken to a base identified only as “somewhere in the southwest”.
The bodies of the occupants were flown to Wright Patterson Air Force Base near Dayton, Ohio for examination where they were placed under tight security inside Hanger 18.
Then Sen. Barry Goldwater (a Brig. Gen. in the Air Force Reserve) unsuccessfully tried to gain access to the Hanger 18 facility
End of briefing.
I would like to thank the fellow for sending along the information, it is much appreciated.
If anyone has information on this, please send me an email with details of what you saw. Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.
