Hi Brian, I live in a city called Barrie in southern Ontario. Last night around 9:00 p.m. my wife was looking west out of our kitchen window and noticed a reddish orange glowing light approximately 20 km away (hard to tell distance though).
The object was travelling approximately north to south. There were no visible ID lights on the object, just a glow which seemed to slightly flicker. She said the object appeared to speed up and almost stop before accelerating again.
By the time I observed the object it was at a constant speed. Within around 5 seconds the object went from clearly visible to completely vanishing as it travelled south west. The sky was completely clear.

I live in Cambridge ( ontario ) and we also saw an orange glowing light yesterday saturday apr 7th. It was around 8:30pm and was moving south. I thought maybe it was a flying chinese lantern but lost sight of it pretty fast..if same was spotted in Barrie then hmmmmmm
