The people filing the sightings of this to me, don’t know what they saw. Please keep in mind, I am retired from the UFO field, just wanted to post this story before some UFO sites make it out to be a UFO when they know exactly what the story is about. To many of them out there. I seen a ton of sites run with a story about a UFO filmed over Victoria, actually the headline was “Amazing Video UFO Over Victoria, B.C. Canada”.
I received the story myself and thought wow, pretty cool. Then I did some checking and found that the video was of illumination flares due to another rescue. I had sent an email to the Canadian Coast Guard and made a simple inquiry. The Canadian Coast Guard kindly replied with the answer.

I immediately posted the story as to what the whole sighting was about. I even went so far as to notify some folks at their website to let them know what the result of the lights were. They did nothing, I guess having the UFO instead of Flares was a bigger story, know matter the “truth”. One site I informed, I was asked to post it myself onto their website, “but, I would have to sign up to post. Never forgot that, and wasn’t about to sign up.
So many know what some of these objects turn out to be, a simple check on the net would come up with an answer, “for some stories, not all”, some choose to let people think it is a UFO. Weird.

did anyone report the six lights in the sky, during the day, over peninsular. They were stationary, just appeared from no where, split up, moved exceedingly fast from one side of the sky to the other, then assembled in a triangle formation. I watched them for about 4-5 mins, then 5 disappeared and one just seem to play a bit then, poof, gone. I continued to watch and about 5 mins later a large mass appeared, moved slowly across and it too instantly disappeared.
