Hello, my name is (name removed) and I live in Rochester, MN.
I saw something strange in the sky sometime between 8:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. It was really bright and moving fast in the eastern sky.

Initially I thought it was a satellite, but I've never seen one that bright before. I was interrupted while watching this light.
About 20 minutes later, my neighbor called me, and she was really shook up and described to me the same thing that a witness saw.
I only seen the one light, but with my neighbor seen the same thing that that witness saw. I think this confirms that we are not crazy.

Hi I live in Ottawa Ontario and I saw a very large bright light the same evening. I was outside and watched what I thought was a satellite moving across the sky until I realized it was moving on a different path than you would normally see it travel. It looked like it was moving very slowly or appeared that way and it was traveling in my direction. I could not take my eyes off of it, it was so large and bright. It past by at which point it appeared to pick up speed, it disappeared in the distance and I thought I saw a red light which made me believe it was an asteroid. I have been trying to find anyone who saw something similar ever since and finally I have come across someone. I saw the object between 9:20 and 9:30, I made a point to check the time half through the experience and it was 9:24. I have researched and found no mention of asteroid sightings on that night which makes me question what it was. Did you ever find out?

ReplyDeleteI have been searching for someone who saw this for the last couple of months with no luck until now. I live outside of Ottawa Ontario and I saw something in the sky on the evening of April 10th and I checked my watch at 9:24 est which would align with the time of your sighting.
I was outside and noticed something moving across the sky in an abnormal direction. I noticed it from quite far away as I am lucky enough to be in the country and have a great view of the sky. The object was Very Very Bright and large. It appeared to come right towards me and I can not say enough about the large size and brightness, it was also moving very slow and appeared to be and at a Very low height. The object than moved by and appeared to fade to red quite quickly but it was moving in the direction that would align with this other sighting.
I checked the news and searched sites regularly after the sighting but never was able to find anything. Any idea what this was I still can not to forget the experience.

I saw the same thing the same night in tennessee! It was a really bright looking star, then all of a sudden, it shot off with incredible speed until I couldnt see it anymore! I am still stunned and shocked because I have no explanation of what it could be.
