Time: 10:15 p.m.Hi Vike, after alerting friends and family of the orange UFOs over Redding CT at 10:15 pm New Year's Eve, one sent the posting from January 1 on your website describing the site (http://unitedstatesufo.blogspot.com/2011/01/10-golden-orange-lights-over-redding.html) .
My wife and I saw the same objects, and were initially stunned, it was quite a dramatic sight. After Googling that evening various terms, however, upon entering "orange UFOs" I came across links to a company that sells "Chinese sky lanterns" and I think that's what we saw, the photos and videos available online appear very similar to what we saw crossing over our house.
The one caveat was that on the ground, there was little wind, and when I first saw the objects I had thought they were moving too fast to be any kind of a firework product. But we live below a ridge line, and it is probably the wind was blowing harder at the altitude the objects were flying at.
